Abstract

This service activity aims to increase environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices in the livestock sector through student empowerment. A collaborative approach between students and lecturers is used in designing sustainable solutions, taking into account ergonomic principles. The training was held at Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai University, involving 45 students from the Animal Husbandry Study Program. Training materials cover best practices in environmentally friendly animal husbandry, waste management and the use of green technology. Evaluation is carried out through an online questionnaire to measure success and obtain feedback from participants. The results showed significant participation, with students actively involved in discussions and field practice. The evaluation concluded that empowering students in this project succeeded in increasing environmental understanding and encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices in the livestock sector. This approach reflects a commitment to achieving sustainable development by paying attention to ergonomic aspects and intergenerational collaboration.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase environmental awareness and the formation of moral character of students at SMK Perpajakan Riau with an approach based on educational philosophy and environmental ethics. This activity involves an understanding of global and local environmental issues, as well as an introduction to environmental ethics that connects moral values ​​with responsibility towards nature. The methods used include counseling, group discussions, and environmental projects that involve students in concrete actions, such as planting trees and reducing plastic waste. Evaluation was carried out through questionnaires before and after the activity to measure changes in students' knowledge, attitudes, and commitment to the environment. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of environmental issues and concrete actions that can be taken to maintain sustainability. Although moral awareness of the environment increased, the greatest impact was seen in changes in students' knowledge and real actions. With this approach, it is hoped that students will not only have strong environmental knowledge, but also a character that cares and is responsible for nature. This activity reflects the integration between the theory of educational philosophy and the practice of sustainability in education.

Abstract

The handicraft work area in Vocational High Schools (SMK) often fails to consider the suitability of table and chair dimensions with students' body measurements. This mismatch poses risks such as muscle fatigue, back pain, and reduced comfort and learning productivity. This community service project aims to redesign the handicraft work area based on students’ anthropometric data to create an ergonomic environment that supports healthy and productive learning. The methods include collecting students’ anthropometric data, analyzing furniture suitability, conducting ergonomic education sessions, and simulating the use of redesigned tables and chairs. The activity was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah, Tuah Madani Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City, involving 20 students and 5 handicraft teachers. The results showed an increase in ergonomic awareness, identification of furniture mismatches, and positive acceptance of the new design, which provides greater comfort and supports handicraft learning activities.

Abstract

Effective waste management requires the support of an efficient logistics system, especially in school environments that generate waste on a daily basis. This community service activity aimed to provide education on logistics efficiency in sustainable waste management to students of SMK Perbankkan Riau. The methods used included socialization, interactive discussions, waste management supply chain simulations, and assistance in implementing the 3R system (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The results showed an 85% increase in students’ understanding of green logistics concepts, waste collection management, and waste reduction. In addition, the school has begun implementing waste segregation at the source, efficient transportation scheduling, and the processing of organic waste into compost. This activity is expected to serve as an initial step toward fostering an environmentally conscious culture and logistics efficiency in schools.

Abstract

The adolescence was period of transition from child to adult, this period devide into three stages:early adolescence, middle adolescence and last adolescence, if in this period they misunderstandhow important of the health reproduction it will be fatal to their life and will disrupt the development of the nation because of that need helath education about right an better of healthreproduction. Aim of this research of being to identify adolescents knowledge before and after by health education of the health reproduction. The design of this research by using One Group Pretest Post- test Design. Sample of this research were student XI second semester at SMK AL-Faruqi. The technique sampling was done in a simple random sampling 21 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The independent variable is health education and dependent variable isadolescence knowledge about the health of reproduction. The data was collected by using theinstrument biofisiologis before and after giving treatment health education. How to analyze it using by Wilcoxon test with a significant level of P < 0.05. The results showed that adolescents knowledge about health of reproduction before and after gave health education on the subject of the significance level was P : 0.003. The conclusion had the influence that was significant betweenhealth education towards adolescence knowledge about health of reproduction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the School Health Efforts at SD N 192 Pekanbaru.There are 12 classes in the school with a total of 288 students. In this regard, the researcher wanted to find out how the implementation of the UKS which includes the TRIAS UKS and Little Doctor programs was in accordance with the guidebook for implementing UKS in schools. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative research approach. The subjects in this study were the principal, two Physical Education teachers and 3 students as Little Doctors at SD N 192 Pekanbaru. Determination of the subjectin this study using a purposive technique. Data collection techniques used by observation, interviews and documentation. Checking the validity of the data in this study using triangulation. Data analysis techniques used qualitative analysis with data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing (verification) steps. The results showed that the implementation of the UKS at SD N 192 Pekanbaru was successful and the majority went according to the UKS implementation guidebook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Directorate General of Basic Education in 2014. UKS activities were carried out curricularly and extracurricularly, with assistance from the Puskesmas school committee but there are still a number of activities in the guidebook that have not been implemented.

Abstract

Gosip merupakan fenomena yang mendalam dalam lingkungan organisasi, termasuk di dalamnya lingkungan akademik universitas swasta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak dan dinamika gosip di kalangan dosen dan karyawan universitas swasta di Kota Pekanbaru. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain studi lintas-seksi, menggunakan kuesioner dan angket terbuka-tertutup sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi bahwa gosip terutama berfungsi sebagai sarana penyebaran informasi (70%), meskipun juga masih memiliki fungsi hiburan yang signifikan (20%). Namun, dampak negatif gosip, seperti kerusakan reputasi (75%), memburuknya hubungan interpersonal (70%), dan dampak psikologis seperti stres (60%), menunjukkan bahwa gosip dapat memberikan konsekuensi serius bagi individu dan institusi. Implikasi manajerial dan strategis disusun untuk mengelola gosip yang tidak sehat dan mempromosikan budaya organisasi yang sehat dan kolaboratif di lingkungan akademik. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang peran gosip dalam komunitas akademik dan mendorong upaya untuk mengatasi dampak negatifnya secara efektif.

Abstract

Lingkungan sekolah yang sehat merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan kesejahteraan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi kesehatan lingkungan di SMK Perpajakan Riau tahun 2024 berdasarkan indikator sanitasi, pencahayaan, ventilasi, konstruksi bangunan, dan kebersihan lingkungan. Pendekatan deskriptif observasional digunakan dengan data yang diperoleh melalui observasi langsung menggunakan alat ukur seperti lux meter, thermohygrometer, dan checklist berbasis regulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar indikator kesehatan lingkungan berada dalam kategori "baik," namun terdapat kekurangan signifikan pada fasilitas sanitasi, ventilasi, dan pencahayaan di beberapa ruang kelas. Sebanyak 33,3% ruang kelas tidak memenuhi standar pencahayaan, sementara 8% ruang kelas memiliki ventilasi di bawah standar ideal. Kekurangan fasilitas sanitasi, seperti toilet siswa dan tempat cuci tangan, juga mengindikasikan perlunya intervensi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun sebagian aspek memenuhi standar, peningkatan fasilitas sanitasi, ventilasi, dan pencahayaan masih diperlukan untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih sehat. Hasil ini memberikan rekomendasi berbasis bukti untuk perbaikan lingkungan fisik sekolah guna mendukung kesehatan dan kenyamanan siswa.

Abstract

Stunting atau pendek merupakan salah satu indikator status gizi kronis yang menggambarkan terhambatnya pertumbuhan karena malnutrisi jangka panjang. Stunting dapat berisiko terhadap penyakit dan kematian Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi pada anak adalah faktor lingkungan seperti sanitasi lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis Hubungan Sanitasi Lingkungan Rumah Tangga dengan Kejadian Stunting pada Anak Balita di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kampar Kiri. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional untuk mempelajari dinamika korelasi antara sanitasi lingkungan rumah tangga dengan kejadian stunting dengan cara pendekatan, observasi atau pengumpulan data variabel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu memiliki balita sebanyak 75 responden dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 75 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2023 di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kampar Kiri. Berdasarkan uji chi-square didapatkan nilai p-value (0.004) sehingga terdapat hubungan antara sanitasi lingkungan dengan kejadian stunting. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan sanitasi lingkungan dengan kejadian stunting.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the P5 Adipura Module with the theme of entrepreneurship for elementary school students as an effort to strengthen the values of the Pancasila student profile (P3). The research method used was research and development adopting Sugiyono's development model with 7 stages including potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. The test subjects were students in class 4 phase B elementary school. The trial was carried out in small groups. The data collection process was in the form of interviews, observations, and distributing questionnaires. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative descriptives. The result of this research was a product in the form of the P5 Adipura Module on the use of family medicinal plants (TOGA) on the theme of entrepreneurship. The average result of material expert validation was 3.29 with valid criteria. Likewise, the average media expert validation result was 3.20 with valid criteria, suitable for use in the project learning process by educators and students. Experiments in small groups to show the practicality of the module can be seen from the score interval obtained from the practicality sheet instrument by users (teachers and students) of 3.86 with very practical criteria. The Adipura P5 module is suitable for use, making it easier for educators and students in the learning process.
