Abstract

Developing effective promotions is crucial for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the women's sector of Kube. Leveraging GPT Chat technology presents a streamlined approach for entrepreneurs to craft enticing promotions, thereby boosting sales. Nevertheless, the adoption of such technology faces hurdles due to a lack of awareness among business owners. Recognizing this challenge, lecturers from Pamulang University have initiated a Community Service Program (PKM). Through this program, entrepreneurs are educated on harnessing Chat GPT for promotional purposes. The PKM aims to empower business owners with the requisite skills and knowledge to leverage Chat GPT effectively. Participants undergo comprehensive training sessions where they learn the intricacies of utilizing this technology to enhance their marketing endeavors. As a result of the PKM, MSMEs gain valuable insights into crafting compelling promotions that resonate with their target audience. Furthermore, the program equips participants with strategies to amplify the reach of their promotions, enabling them to tap into broader markets. By embracing innovative solutions like GPT Chat, entrepreneurs can transcend geographical limitations and expand their customer base significantly. Ultimately, the PKM not only enhances the digital capabilities of MSMEs but also fosters economic growth within the women's sector of Kube. Armed with newfound knowledge, these business actors are poised to navigate the evolving landscape of commerce with confidence, driving sustainable success in their ventures.

Abstract

Purpose: Moneylenders, sometimes called 'loan sharks' due to their high interest rates, are informal financial institutions that offer loans not in line with Islamic law. This study analyzes the factors that influence the behavior of households regarding debt to moneylenders. Research Methodology: This research employs descriptive and logistic regression analyses using primary data collected from locals in Jagapura village, Cirebon. Result: The results indicate that basic household necessities determine their debt behavior. However, Islamic financial literacy and increasing income present effective solutions for moneylenders to overcome their debt. Limitation: This study is based on primary data from a specific village, Jagapura, in Cirebon, which may not be representative of all households in debt to moneylenders in other regions or settings. Contribution: The study suggests that Islamic financial institutions should assist unbankable communities needing funds for daily expenses by performing social functions such as offering interest-free loans (qardhul hasan) and providing Islamic social finance. The establishment of sharia compliant savings and loans could also be a solution to usury-related issues.

Abstract

The cost of obtaining halal certification is often significant, and this has made its obtainance difficult for many Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). In order to promote the attainment of halal certification, the government has been observed to offer free certification programs for MSEs, with expenses being totally covered by the State Budget (APBN). Based on the results, alternative sources of financing beyond the state budget are necessary, with productive zakat being a plausible option. Therefore, the present study aims to assess the willingness of Muzakki to use productive zakat to finance free halal certification for MSEs and to analyze the factors influencing this willingness. To achieve the stated objectives, scoring and Structural Equation Models, namely Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), were adopted as the analytical methods. Data were collected via electronic questionnaires administered to 200 respondents who had previously contributed mal zakat, and interviews conducted with representatives from BAZNAS. The obtained results showed that a positive inclination existed among Muzakki to use productive zakat for financing halal certification for MSEs. The observed key factors influencing enthusiasm of Muzakki include external motivation and consistency in zakat contributions. To enhance the role of zakat, the study suggests that zakat institutions should prioritize information dissemination and awareness campaigns through various media channels.
