Abstract

Some endophytic fungi species live in medicinal plant tissue and does not make any damage, but live in symbiotic mutualism relationship with the host plant. This research was done to: 1) identify the endophytic fungi species isolated from P. angulata leaf, twig, and stem bark tissues, 2) determine the endophytic fungi colonization in the P. angulata plant tissue by histologic observation. The endophytic fungi was isolated from healthy P. angulata plant parts, then inoculated on Potato Dextrose Agar medium and incubated in 27°C for 7-14 days. Each endophytic fungi isolates were identified. The histologic observation was done by microscopic observation to determine the endophytic fungi position in the plant tissue. The conclusion are: 1) seven endophytic fungi species were found: Penicillium verrucosum, Colletotrichum alienum, Fusarium subglutinans, Aspergillus nidulans, Mycelia sterilia 1, Mycelia sterilia 2, and Rhizoctonia sp.; 2) the endophytic fungi micelium was found on the leaf epidermis cell wall, on the twig epidermis cell wall, and parenchyma cell wall, on the stem bark epidermis cell wall. The suggestion of the study: it is need to make the next research about secondary metabolites content produced by endophytic fungi species isolated from P. angulata and their antimicrobial activity.

Abstract

This research is a mixed study (quantitative-qualitative) that examines learning theories to support the PQDiS-CSR learning model in biology and science learning and tests the validation of the PQDiS-CSR learning model based on survey result from FGD participants. The research subjects are biology and science teachers as well as education experts from Indonesia through FGD (focus group discussion) activities. The results of the study show that there are three learning theories that support this learning model; behaviorism learning theory, constructivism, and information processing systems. he results of the validity test on the development of learning models based on the results of the survey from FGD participants were 4.36 categorized as valid and usable.

Abstract

The antagonism ability of seven Trichoderma isolates towards F.solani have been observed and tested by dual culture technique. The antagonism mechanism observed by microscopic observation with light microscope and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The research result showed seven species of Trichoderma molds have different antagonism ability towards F.solani each other. The antagonism mechanism observed by light microscope and Scanning Electron Microscopy were mycoparasitism, antibiosis, and competition.Key word: antagonism mechanism, Trichoderma spp, F. solani, microscopic observation

Abstract

Handout can help students to improve their lesson and help them accept new information easier. The purpose of this research is to produce a Handout for Biotechnology. This development model uses 4D Thiagarajan model (1974). Handout trial subjects include: expert media validator, material expert validator, field practitioners and respondents as many 20 students of class XII as respondents. Data collection technique is done by questionnaire. The research results of this study is the Biology Handout for Senior High School students title Nata de Jack Fruit has been done. This handout is worthy of being used as a learning media for class XII on Biology material.Handout dapat membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan memperoleh informasi baru. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan Handout materi Bioteknologi. Model pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4D Thiagarajan (1974). Subjek uji coba handout meliputi validator ahli media, validator ahli materi, praktisi lapangan dan responden sebanyak 20 orang siswa kelas XII. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Handout Biologi SMA dengan judul Pembuatan Nata de Nangka telah tersusun. Handout ini layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Biologi kelas XII.

Abstract

Abstract: Handout is a teaching materials that used to help students in understanding the subject matters that is have not written textbook. The development of handout Antagonism aims to improve the students cognitive learning outcomes. The handout development was based on the ADDIE development model. This handout was validated by the material validator and learning media validator, and the readability tests by students of X ATPH class. After that, the handout is used as teaching material in Biology learning process in X ATPH 1 class. The research results proved that the use of handouts Antagonism in the Biology learning process can improve students cognitive learning outcomes.Abstrak: Handout merupakan bahan ajar untuk membantu siswa menguasai materi yang tidak terdapat pada buku teks. Tujuan pengembangan handout Antagonisme adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Pengembangan handout berdasarkan model pengembangan ADDIE. Handout divalidasi oleh validator materi dan validator media pembelajaran, serta dilakukan uji keterbacaan pada siswa kelas X ATPH. Selanjutnya, handout digunakan pada proses pembelajaran Biologi di kelas X ATPH 1. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penggunaan handout Antagonisme dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa.

Abstract

Agricultural area, particularly in the rhizosfer area there are various species of mold which lives mainly in the soil. The students have known molds which live in nature but they have not recognized mold which lives in the soil. It is required to develop a teaching material in the form of module which is created based on a research result. The results of this study were; (1) it has been discovered 7 species of mold, which are Trichoderma harzianum, Penicillium nalgiovense, Penicillium corylophilum, Penicillium funiculosum, Penicillium camemberti, Aspergillus ochraceus, dan Penicillium citrinum, (2) the most dominant mold species was Trichoderma harzianum with the total number 1,8 x 104 cfu for every gram soil sample, and (3) there has been arranged of the learning module about fungi kingdom for students in high school level.Tanah pertanian, khususnya di daerah rizosfer, merupakan habitat dari berbagai spesies kapang yang hidup di dalamnya. Para siswa telah mengenal kapang yang tumbuh di alam tetapi mereka belum mengenal kapang yang hidup di dalam tanah pertanian. Perlu dikembangkan sebuah bahan ajar berupa modul yang dibuat berdasarkan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini, meliputi (1) ditemukan 7 spesies kapang, yaitu Trichoderma harzianum, Penicillium nalgiovense, Penicillium corylophilum, Penicillium funiculosum, Penicillium camemberti, Aspergillus ochraceus, dan Penicillium citrinum, (2) spesies kapang yang paling dominan adalah Trichoderma harzianum dengan total jumlah 1,8 x 104 cfu/g sampel tanah, dan (3) telah tersusun bahan ajar Biologi berupa modul Kingdom Fungi para siswa SMA.

Abstract

People have not use  dragon fruit peel and only thrown away as waste product. The using of the dragon fruit peel as processed product for food diversity have not been done. A sort of as processed food base on the dragon fruit peel by used of lactic acid bacteria is yoghurt from the dragon fruit peel. This booklet is done based on the research result about yoghurt from dragon fruit peel. This booklet is done for the fruit farmers comunities. The booklet content are: the yoghurt advantage, the instruction to make yoghurt, the tool and material for make the yoghurt, the yoghurt packaging, and the yoghurt marketing strategy. The research development method is observational method with the steps as described by Hannafin and Peck (1998). The validation results from the validator and booklet readable result of the fruit farmers communities shows that this booklets have very interesting quality, very suitable  and very effective to use. This booklet is worthy to use and distributed as counseling media for the fruit farmers communities.Masyarakat belum memanfaatkan kulit buah naga dan hanya dibuang sebagai limbah. Pemanfaatan limbah kulit buah naga untuk produk olahan dalam rangka penganekaragaman pangan sampai saat ini masih belum dilakukan. Kulit buah naga memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang bermanfaat untuk pertumbuhan bakteri asam laktat. Salah satu bentuk makanan olahan dengan bahan dasar kulit buah naga dengan memanfaatkan bakteri asam laktat ialah yoghurt kulit buah naga. Booklet ini disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai pembuatan yoghurt kulit buah naga. Booklet disusun untuk komunitas petani buah. Booklet berisi materi-materi tentang manfaat yoghurt dan petunjuk pembuatan yoghurt, alat dan bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat yoghurt, cara mengemas yoghurt dan strategi pemasaran yoghurt. Metode penelitian pengembangan ialah metode observasional dengan urutan langkah seperti yang dijelaskan oleh Hannafin dan Peck (1998). Hasil validasi dari para validator dan uji keterbacaan booklet oleh masyarakat petani buah  menunjukkan bahwa booklet yang disusun memiliki kualifikasi sangat menarik, sangat sesuai, dan sangat efektif untuk digunakan. Booklet yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dan dapat disebarluaskan sebagai media penyuluhan kepada masyarakat petani buah.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (1) produce Mycology handout on fungal endophyte and (2) determine the feasibility and readability of handout. This research type is development research. Handout data feasibility obtained from material experts and learning media expert by validation questionnaires, the handout readability data was obtained from questonnaires for the Biology students. The research results showed that the percentage of validation result from Mycology material expert I is 100% and from Mycology expert II is 99.44% with very high feasibility criteria. Percentage of handout feasibility by learning media expert is 93.06% with very high feasibility criteria. The handout readability result from Mycology student is 85,56% with very high criteria. The research results show that the handout are very feasible and very easy to use in the Mycology learning activities. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan handout Mikologi pada materi kapang endofit dan (2) menguji kelayakan dan keterbacaan handout. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Data kelayakan handout diperoleh dari angket validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli bahan ajar, sedangkan data keterbacaan diperoleh dari hasil angket keterbacaan handout pada mahasiswa Biologi UM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelayakan materi handout oleh validator ahli materi Mikologi I sebesar 100% dan validator ahli materi Mikologi II sebesar 99,44% dengan kriteria kelayakan sangat tinggi. Persentase kelayakan handout oleh ahli bahan ajar sebesar 93,06% dengan kriteria kelayakan sangat tinggi pula. Persentase uji keterbacaan oleh mahasiswa sebesar 85,56% dengan kriteria keterbacaan sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa handout sangat layak dan sangat mudah digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran Mikologi.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce flipbook media material antibacterial power of medicinal plants, (2) know the feasibility of flipbook media, and (3) know the legibility of flipbook media. This type of research is development. Media feasibility data were obtained from feasibility test questionnaires filled by Microbiology material experts, and media experts, while readability data were obtained from media readability test questionnaire by 15 students of SMKN 07 Malang, and field practitioners. The results showed that the percentage of material feasibility by the validator I of 96.87%, and the validator II of 100% with criteria is very valid. Average percentage of program display feasibility by learning media experts of 92.18% with very valid criteria. The average percentage of legibility test from students is 92,30% with very easy criteria, while from field practitioner 97,72% with very easy criteria. Based on the results of the research show that the flipbook media is very feasible and very easy to use in learning activities.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan media flipbook materi daya antibakteri tanaman berkhasiat obat, (2) mengetahui kelayakan media flipbook, dan (3) mengetahui keterbacaan media flipbook. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan. Data kelayakan media diperoleh dari angket uji kelayakan yang diisi oleh ahli materi Mikrobiologi, dan ahli media, sedangkan data keterbacaan diperoleh dari angket uji keterbacaan media oleh 15 siswa SMKN 07 Malang, dan praktisi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelayakan materi oleh validator I sebesar 96,87%, dan validator II sebesar 100% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Persentase rata-rata kelayakan tampilan program oleh ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 92,18% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Persentase rata-rata uji keterbacaan dari siswa sebesar 92,30% dengan kriteria sangat mudah, sedangkan dari praktisi lapangan sebesar 97,72% dengan kriteria sangat mudah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media flipbook sangat layak dan sangat mudah digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of the guided inquiry combined with the numbered head together which is based on lesson study to improve learning outcome. The type of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on lesson study. The result of the research indicated that the implementation of the guided inquiry combined with the numbered head together which is based on lesson study considerably can improve learning outcome domain cognitive from the cycle I to the cycle II increase of 26,67%, from the cycle II to the cycle III increase of 20%, but also can improve learning outcome domain psycomotor from the cycle I to the cycle II increase of 13,4% and from cycle II to the cycle III increase of 10%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan inkuiri terbimbing dipadu numbered head together berbasis lesson study untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK berbasis lesson study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, penerapan inkuiri terbimbing dipadu numbered head together berbasis lesson study dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dari siklus I ke siklus II sekitar 26,67%, siklus II ke siklus III meningkat sebesar 20% dan meningkatkan ranah psikomotor dari siklus I ke siklus II sekitar 13,4% %, siklus II ke siklus III meningkat sekitar 10%.
