Abstract

The use of multimedia microbiology teaching materials integrated with STEM to empower students' critical thinking and communication skills has not been carried out optimally. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of STEM (M-STEM) integrated multimedia microbiology teaching materials on students' critical thinking and communication skills. The study method is quasi-experimental through a non-equivalent control group design pretest-posttest research design. The independent variable of the study is M-STEM microbiology teaching materials, and the dependent variable of the study is students' critical thinking and communication skills. The research sample was students from the Biology Education Study Program at IKIP Budi Utomo who were taking a Microbiology course. Class A is the research experimental class and class B is the control class. The research instrument was a multiple-choice type test for pretest and posttest questions. The research data are pre-test and post-test scores from the experimental class and control class which will be tested for prerequisites (normality and homogeneity) first and then will be tested with the ANAKOVA test with SPSS. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of STEM (M-STEM) integrated multimedia microbiology teaching materials on students' critical thinking skills (sig<0.05) and student communication (sig<0.05). The research concludes that multimedia-integrated STEM (M-STEM) microbiology teaching materials have a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills and communication.

Abstract

The situation analysis shows that the motivation and interest in learning of Laskar Belajar Community Omah Harsa students is lacking, the students' entrepreneurial potential has not been developed, and the students' healthy lifestyle needs to be cultivated. Based on the agreement between the service team and partners, the Omah Harsa Community Learning Team's mentoring activities aim to increase students' motivation and interest in learning, entrepreneurship potential, and healthy lifestyles. The method of implementing service consists of observation, planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities. The place for service activities is the Omah Harsa Community Learning Army, Tanjungrejo Village, Sukun District, Malang City. The results of service activities show that student's motivation and interest in learning have increased by 71%, students' entrepreneurial potential has increased by 90%, and students' healthy lifestyles has increased by 85%. This service activity concludes that the service activity has a positive impact on the students of Laskar Belajar Community Omah Harsa in increasing motivation and interest in learning, entrepreneurial potential, and a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

The effectiveness of health services is carried out to increase the satisfaction of the people who seek treatment. Problems with services are timeliness, community dissatisfaction, and indiscipline of health workers in providing services. This research method uses descriptive qualitative through interviews, observation and documentation. Determination of informants by purposive sampling involved, namely the head, coordinator, administrator, dental practitioner, MCH/KB implementer, drug and pharmacy implementer through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are the effectiveness of services by improving facilities and infrastructure, and the quality of human resources. It is proven by the implementation of the nutrition post program for weighing and measuring the height of toddlers so that parents are trained to choose food for their child's growth and development, the free covid-19 vaccination program. The supporting factor is the collaboration between health workers, village government, and the community and periodic evaluation by analyzing the results of the suggestion box. The inhibiting factor is timeliness and indiscipline, causing public dissatisfaction with services. Keyword: , , .

Abstract

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi peran literasi sains sebagai katalis dalam menjembatani keyakinan Islam dan rasionalitas ilmiah. Literasi sains memungkinkan individu memahami dan mengintegrasikan konsep sains dengan ajaran Islam, sehingga mengurangi konflik antara sains dan agama. Dengan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan analitis, literasi sains memperkuat keyakinan beragama melalui interpretasi rasional. Studi kasus dari sejarah ilmuwan Muslim menunjukkan bahwa keselarasan antara sains dan keyakinan agama dapat tercapai. Pendidikan terpadu yang memadukan kurikulum ilmu pengetahuan dan agama dianjurkan untuk membentuk generasi yang seimbang, kritis, dan siap berkontribusi kepada masyarakat. Artikel ini menekankan pentingnya literasi sains untuk menghadapi tantangan global dan mendorong partisipasi komunitas Muslim dalam diskusi dan inovasi global, menciptakan keseimbangan antara iman dan sains.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan ekonomi dan dorongan gaya hidup menjadikan kebutuhan masyarakat meningkat. Hal tersebut mendorong setiap keluarga untuk menambah penghasilan bulanannya dengan mencari pekerjaan lain, terutama oleh ibu rumah tangga yang memiliki banyak waktu luang. Hal tersebut mendorong perempuan di Desa Sumberagung untuk bekerja menjadi pedagang kelontong. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan peran perempuan pedagang kelontong dalam meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga di Desa Sumberagung Kecamatan Wates Kabupaten Kediri, perspektif ekonomi islam. Dengan menggunakan Teori Motivasi dan Hierarki, metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam (indepth interview). Metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi interaktif, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data primer berupa wawancara bersama 13 perempuan pedagang kelontong di Desa Sumberagung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan redukasi data, paparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan ketekunan pengamatan, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran perempuan pedagang kelontong membantu meingkatkan kebutuhan dan kelangsungan hidup setiap keluarga. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perempuan bekerja sebagai pedagang kelontong didorong oleh kebutuhan dasar fisiologis dan kebutuhan psikis. Kebutuhan dasar fisiologis seperti kebutuhan pangan, pakaian, dan tempat tinggal menjadi motivasi utama para perempuan untuk bekerja. Selain itu, kebutuhan psikis seperti rasa aman, rasa cinta dan memiliki, harga diri, dan aktualisasi diri juga menjadi faktor penting yang mendorong pedagang kelontong perempuan untuk bekerja sebagai pedagang kelontong. Peran perempuan pedagang kelontong sejalan dengan prinsip Islam yang menekankan tauhid (keimanan), ‘adl (keadilan), nubuwwah (kenabian), khilafah (pemegang amanah), dan ma’ad (hasil). Prinsip-prinsip ini mendorong perempuan pedagang kelontong untuk bersikap jujur, adil, dan bertanggung jawab, serta menjalankan bisnis dengan cara yang halal dan beretika. Kata Kunci: Perempuan Pedagang Kelontong; Ekonomi Keluarga; Ekonomi Islam. Abstract: Economic development and lifestyle encouragement have increased people's needs. This encourages every family to increase their monthly income by looking for other work, especially housewives with a lot of free time. This encourages women in Sumberagung Village to work as grocery traders. The research aims to describe the role of women grocery traders in improving the family economy in Sumberagung Village, Wates District, Kediri Regency, from an Islamic economic perspective. By using motivation and hierarchy theories, the method used in this research uses qualitative methods through in-depth interviews—data collection methods through interactive observation, interviews, and documentation. The primary data source is interviews with 13 women grocery traders in Sumberagung Village. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data exposure, and conclusions. The validity of the data is obtained by diligent observation and triangulation. The research results show that the role of women grocery traders helps improve the needs and survival of each family. Factors that influence women to work as grocery traders are driven by basic physiological needs and psychological needs. Basic physiological needs such as food, clothing, and shelter are the main motivation for women to work. Apart from that, psychological needs such as a sense of security, a sense of love and belonging, self-esteem, and self-actualization are also important factors that encourage them to work as grocery traders. Their role is in line with Islamic principles which emphasize tauhid (faith), 'adl (justice), nubuwwah (prophecy), Khilafah (trust holder), and ma'ad (results). These principles encourage them to be honest, fair, and responsible, and to conduct business in a halal and ethical manner. Keywords: Women Grocery Traders; Family Economy; Islamic Economy.

Abstract

: This study analyzes the language variety used by nurses and patients of health care services at Puskesmas Bantaran Kabupaten Probolinggo. Language variety refers to variants of language caused by the speakers’ different backgrounds. Puskesmas Bantaran is a referral puskesmas with medical personnel and patients from different backgrounds and it causes challenges in the communication process during health care services. The theory used to analyze the data in this study is the theory from Janet Holmes (2013). Language variety is divided into two aspects namely, language variety of speakers and language variety of the use. This research is important to improve the effectiveness of communication between medical personnel and patients. This research aims to describe the types of language variety used by a nurse to patients of health care services at Puskesmas Bantaran Kabupaten Probolinggo. The method used is descriptive-qualitative with data collection methods through observation, recording, transcribing, and interviews. The data source consists of all dialogs of conversational interaction between a nurse and patients of health care services containing language variety. The data were analyzed from 24 conversations, resulting in 101 language variety. The results of the analysis show that there are two language variety of health care services in the interaction between a nurse and patients, namely language variety of speakers and language variety of the use. The language variety of speakers has 87 data which is divided into five types, namely social status and ethnicity (51 data), gender (10 data), age (24 data), and social network (2 data). The language variety of the use or register of health has 14 data. These findings reflect the social interaction between a nurse and patients of health care services.

Abstract

This study investigates how Muslim women navigate their Islamic identity, engage in gender activism, and operate within post-secular public spaces. By applying semiotic principles, it examines how female activists challenge traditional religious norms and societal expectations to develop polysemic expressions of Islamic identity. By interviewing and analyzing four leading Indonesian Muslim women activists, highlight how these women redefine their roles within religious and societal contexts through activism. Reshaping public perceptions of non-hijabi Muslim women activists. The findings reveal that; [1], gender is not a static category but something negotiated and shaped through actions and reinterpretation of identity in socio-religious contexts. It underscores the dynamic nature of activism, where hijab is reinterpreted not as a rigid religious mandate but as a fluid cultural mandate. [2], activists employ traditional and innovative markers to articulate their identities, challenging the hegemonic narrative imposed by religious and political authorities. The fact that Islamic identity coexists with modernity and inclusivity. In conclusion, this paper contributes to a nuanced understanding of the evolving roles of Muslim women activists. [Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana perempuan Muslim menavigasi identitas keislaman mereka, aktif sebagai aktitvis gender, dan di ruang publik pasca-sekuler. Dengan menerapkan prinsip semiotika, riset ini mempelajari bagaimana para aktivis perempuan menantang norma agama tradisional dan ekspektasi masyarakat guna mengeksplor ekspresi identitas Islam yang bersifat polisemik. Melalui wawancara dan analisis terhadap empat aktivis perempuan terkemuka Indonesia, penelitian menyoroti bagaimana para perempuan tersebut meredefinisi peran mereka dalam konteks agama dan sosial melalui aktivisme, sekaligus mendekonstruksi persepsi publik terhadap aktivis muslimah yang tidak berhijab. Temuan menunjukan: [1], gender bukan kategori statis, melainkan sesuatu yang bisa dinegosiasikan dan dibentuk melalui tindakan dan reinterpretasi dalam konteks socio-religious. Menegaskan bahwa aktivisme bersifat dinamis, dimana hijab tidak tidak lagi dimaknai sebagai kewajiban agama yang kaku tetapi mandat budaya yang fleksibel/luwes. [2], Para aktivis memanfaatkan simbol tradisional dan inovatif untuk mengartikulasi identitas mereka. Menantang narasi hegemoni otoritas agama dan politik. Karena sejatinya identitas Islam dapat berdampingan dengan modernitas dan inklusivitas. Pada akhirnya, paper ini berkonstribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai peran muslimah yang terus berkembang dalam aktivisme.]

Abstract

Sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2013) menunjukkan bahwa ada perubahan iklim dan kenaikan suhu yang signifikan di Asia Tenggara (Howarth, Viner, Dessai, Rapley, & Jones, 2017). Perubahan iklim diperkirakan akan meningkatkan ancaman terhadap ketahanan pangan, kesehatan manusia, ketersediaan air, keragaman hayati, dan kenaikan air laut di Asia Tenggara, termasuk di Indonesia. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah dan mengatasi permasalahan di atas adalah dimulai dari Pendidikan. Pendidikan sekolah dasar memiliki peranan dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menciptakan desain pembelajaran sains sekolah dasar berbasis green curriculum. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam Penelitian dan Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang merupakan kependekan dari Analisa (analisis), Desain (perancangan), Pengembangan (pengembangan), Implementasi (penerapan), dan Evaluasi (evaluasi). Hasil validasi terkait pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran sains sekolah dasar berbasis green curriculum adalah valid. Dalam penelitian pengembangan dihasilkan hasil yang valid dengan di terapkan melalui ujicoba terbatas di lingkungan sekolah alam MI Baipas Malang dan MI Hidayatul Mubtadiin dalam mengukur perbedaan Budaya ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Puzzle Aksara Jawa terhadap kemampuan membaca Aksara Jawa siswa kelas IV SDN Nongkosawit 02. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya kemampuan membaca huruf Jawa akibat kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, pretest, dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 66,09 menjadi 91,41 setelah pembelajaran menggunakan Puzzle Aksara Jawa. Aktivitas belajar yang menyenangkan dan interaktif melalui media puzzle mampu meningkatkan daya ingat dan keterlibatan siswa. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan Puzzle Aksara Jawa efektif meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Aksara Jawa siswa serta membuat proses belajar lebih bermakna.

Abstract

There are difficulties in accustoming students to hone their metacognitive abilities in learning human anatomy and physiology in the era of the 4.0 revolution due to the lack of availability of SETS-based multimedia assessments. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of SETS-based multimedia assessments on students' metacognitive abilities. The research method was a quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design pretest-posttest. The research sample was 2 classes (the experimental class was called A and the control class was called B) with 17 students in the experimental class, and 24 students in the control class in the Biology Education Study Program of IKIP Budi Utomo, who were taking the human anatomy and physiology course. The research instrument was pretest and posttest questions on the SETS-based multimedia assessment as many as 15 multiple-choice questions containing indicators of metacognitive abilities. The research data were in the form of pretest and posttest scores from the experimental class and the control class. The research data analysis technique used the Anacova test via SPSS for Windows. The results showed that SETS-based multimedia assessments affected students' metacognitive abilities (sig < 0.05). The study concludes that SETS-based multimedia assessment affects students' metacognitive abilities in human anatomy and physiology courses. The results of this study are recommended as assessment development materials to be integrated into the higher education curriculum as an effort to empower students' metacognitive abilities.
