Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian tentang pertumbuhan bibit surian (Toona sinensis (Juss,) M. Roem) yang diinokulasi mikoriza pada media tanam tanah ultisol telah dilakukan dari bulan November 2014 sampai Februari 2015 di rumah kaca dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Andalas, Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan bibit surian yang diinokulasi dengan beberapa dosis Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA) pada tanah ultisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan yang diberikan adalah tanpa inokulasi; inokulan 5 g/tanaman; inokulan 10 g/tanaman; inokulan 15 g/tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis FMA sebanyak 15 g/tanaman pada media tanah ultisol memperlihatkan pengaruh yang nyata pada pertambahan jumlah daun tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertambahan tinggi dan diameter batang serta berat kering tanaman selama 12 minggu pengamatan. Roem) that inoculated with mycorrhiza on ultisol medium had been conducted from November 2014 until February 2015 in Greenhouse and Plant Physiolgy Laboratory, Biology Department, Mathematic and Natural Sciences Faculty, Andalas University, Padang. The study aimed to find out about the growth of surian seedling that inoculated with several Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) doses on the ultisol medium. The study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and six replications. The treatments were 0 g Inoculation/plant; 5 g inoculants/plant; 10 g inoculants/plant and 15 g inoculants/plant. The result showed that the treatment of 15 g/plant on the ultisol medium was significantly affecting the growth of leaves, in adversely showed insignificantly effect on the height in crement and diameter of bark, as well as on the dry weight of plant during the 12 weeks observations.  Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/kauniyah.v9i1.3250

Abstract

Roem pada tanah ultisol yang dicampur pupuk kompos dengan penambahan Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA) telah dilakukan pada bulan November 2014 sampai April 2015 di Rumah Kaca dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Andalas, Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan bibit surian pada media tanah ultisol yang dicampur pupuk kompos dengan penambahan FMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah tanpa inokulasi (hanya pupuk organik), 5 g inokulan per tanaman, 10 g inokulan per tanaman, 15 g inokulan per tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan bibit surian pada media tanah ultisol yang dicampur pupuk kompos dengan penambahan FMA memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan diameter batang.Abstract Study on the seedling growth of surian inoculated with some doses of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) on ultisol mixed compost has been conducted from November 2014 until February 2015 in the Greenhouse and Plant Physiology Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Andalas University, Padang. Abstract

The is about the growth and artemisinin content of the Cina Baru (Artemisia vulgaris L.) in different light intensity and growth media composition. It conducted in the Center of Plant Nursery of Andalas University, Padang from March to April 2015. The study used split plot design with 4 treatments and 3 replications, as the main plot was according to the percentage of shading where devided into shading 0% (a0), shading 55% (a1), shading 65% (a2), shading 75% (a3) while sub plot was determined by the  growth media composition: 0 ton/ha (b0), 5 ton/ha (b1), 10 ton/ha (b2), 15 ton/ha (b3). The result showed that light intensity had effect on root growth and number of leaf, while fertilizer significantly influenced the number of leaves, wet weight, net weight. Fertilizer did not significantly have effect on the height of plant and was not able of increase the level of artemisinin, however indicated a strong correlation between net weight and artemisinin level of Artemisia vulgaris L. Keywords: Artemisinin levels, Fertilizer, Light Intensity, Shading

Abstract

The study about the growth response of Desmodium heterophyllum plant by the treatnent with Arbuscular Mycorrizhal Fungy (AMF) on the soil of former coal aquarry in Sawah lunto, had been carnied out from Mayto July 2015 in the Nurseries and Reforaestation of Andalas University and continued at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Tissue Culture of Biology Department, the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Andalas University, Padang. The research aimed to find out the best doses of AMFadministered the growth of D.heterophyllum growth on the soil of former coal quarry in Sawah lunto. The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were without inoculation (control), inoculation with 5 g / plant, 10 g / plant, 15 g / plant, and 20 g / plant. The result showed that AMF inoculation in general  gave significant effects for the plant height, the number of leaves, root plant weight and total dry weight, but did not effect on the increase of stem dry weight  and leaves dry weight. The best doses for the growth of D.heterophyllumon the former coal quarry soil was at 5g/ plant doses. Keywords : Desmodium heterophyllum, AMF, Coal Mine Land.

Abstract

Currently, seaweed extracts are widely used as plant biostimulants to increase the efficiency of nutrient use, tolerance of abiotic stress, and improve plant quality. In this study, tested the effect of different Padina minor seaweed extract formulas (liquid extract and powder extract) and the frequency of application of Padina minor seaweed extract (b0 = control; b1 = 1 x application; b2 = 2 x application; and b3 = 3 x application) as a biostimulant to the growth of upland rice. From the results of the study, it was found that there was no significant effect of the application of the two extract formulas and the frequency of application, but the administration of Padina minor extract 3 times during vegetative growth increased all growth parameters, such as: plant height, number of tillers, fresh and dry weight of plants, and chlorophyll content. It was concluded that giving Padina minor extract 3 times could increase the vegetative growth of upland rice effectively.

Abstract

The research about the Effect of Sargassum crassifolium Extract Formula as Biostimulant to Increase Growth and Yield of Glycine max L. Merill was conducted from February until June 2020 at the warehouse of Plant Physiology Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Andalas University, Padang. The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of liquid and powder extract formula of S. crassifolium as biostimulant on the growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L. Merill). The research was conducted by an experimental method arrange in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The experiment consisted of 3 treatments. Each treatment was laid out with nine replications. The treatments tested were control, liquid extract (0.4%), powder extract (1.6 g/L). The results showed that the application of liquid extract gave a higher tendency towards the improvement of the root system, fresh and dry weight, chlorophyll content, and 100 seeds weight of soybean plant. While the powder extracts shown the best result on the total seed weight. Both of extract formula had the potential to be used to increase growth and yield of soybean.

Abstract

Air lindi sisa pakan maggot merupakan salah satu pupuk organik cair yang berasal dari larutan hasil pembusukan bahan organik oleh lalat tentara hitam, penggunaan air lindi sisa pakan maggot yang dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan serta ketergantungan dari pemakaian pupuk anorganik pada sistem hidroponik. Air lindi sisa pakan maggot mengandung unsur hara alami yang telah terurai sehingga lebih mudah diserap oleh tanaman serta dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air lindi sisa pakan maggot sebagai pengganti AB mix pada pertumbuhan tanaman sawi pagoda dengan sistem hidroponik, mendapatkan konsentrasi air lindi sisa pakan maggot terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman sawi pagoda, dan mengetahui efektivitas pemberian air lindi sisa pakan maggot dalam mengurangi pemakaian pupuk anorganik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan  terdiri dari AB mix (Kontrol), kombinasi AB mix dan air lindi sisa pakan maggot dengan perbandingan (3:1), (1:1), (1:3), dan air lindi sisa pakan maggot tanpa AB mix. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian kombinasi AB mix dan air lindi sisa pakan maggot memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata secara statistik dan memberikan pengaruh yang sama dengan kontrol pada parameter berat segar tanaman dan berat kering tanaman. Pemberian hanya air lindi sisa pakan maggot tidak dapat menggantikan pemakaian AB mix. Perlakuan (1:1) merupakan konsentrasi paling efektif dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman sawi pagoda dan dapat meminimalkan pemakaian pupuk anorganik sebesar 50%.

Abstract

Biostimulants are formulations of organic compounds derived from plants or microorganisms and can increase the efficiency of nutrient absorption, tolerance of abiotic stress and plant productivity. Padina minor contains high levels of macro and microelements, growth-regulating hormones and secondary metabolites. Centella asiatica contains secondary metabolites, essential oils, and amino acids. This study aims to determine the effect of seaweed extract Padina minor, Centella asiatica and a combination of extracts Padina minor and Centella asiatica on the growth of soybean plants grown on ultisol soil. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments with 6 replications. This treatment consisted of Padina minor, Centella asiatica and a combination of Padina minor and Centella asiatica. The results showed that the administration of Padina minor extract had an effect on increasing plant height, while Centella asiatica extract had an effect on leaf area and the combination of Padina minor and Centella asiatica extracts had an effect on increasing plant height, number of leaves, leaf area and wet weight of soybeans planted. on ultisols.

Abstract

Biostimulan alami adalah salah satu teknologi paling menjanjikan yang baru-baru ini diterapkan dalam sistem pertanian modern yang bertujuan menuju keberlanjutan. Biostimulan didefinisikan sebagai setiap produk yang merangsang efisiensi nutrisi tanaman secara independen dari kandungan nutrisinya dengan tujuan tunggal untuk meningkatkan satu atau lebih karakteristik tanaman atau rizosfer berikut, efisiensi penggunaan nutrisi, toleransi cekaman abiotik, atribut kualitas dan ketersediaan nutrisi. Moringa oleifera mengandung unsur makro dan mikro, zat pengatur tumbuh seperti sitokinin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak kelor dan cara aplikasi ekstrak serta interaksi antara konsentrasi dan cara aplikasi ekstrak yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan umur panen kubis Singgalang. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor A merupakan taraf konsentrasi (kontrol, 1:64 (v/v), 1:32 (v/v) dan 1:16 (v/v)) dan faktor B merupakan cara aplikasi (daun, tanah dan gabungan daun dan tanah). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak kelor dengan  konsentrasi 1:32 (v/v) mampu meningkatkan jumlah daun dan panjang akar kubis Singgalang. Cara aplikasi ekstrak tidak memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata serta tidak terjadi interaksi antara konsentrasi dan cara aplikasi ekstrak terhadap pertumbuhan dan umur panen kubis Singgalang.

Abstract

Biostimulan merupakan senyawa organik bukan hara yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman dan meningkatkan proses fisiologi tanaman. Salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai biostimulan adalah jenis paku-pakuan, salah satunya adalah paku resam (Gleichenia linearis). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak paku resam yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan cabai keriting Kopay. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni sampai September 2021. Penelitian dilakukan di rumah kawat dan di laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan, Jurusan Biologi, Universitas Andalas. Perlakuan terdiri dari beberapa konsentrasi ekstrak paku resam yaitu, A (Kontrol), B (50 mg.L-1), C (100 mg.L-1) dan D (150 mg.L-1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ekstrak paku resam berpengaruh terhadap diameter batang (0,71 cm) dan kadar klorofil a (0,04567 mg.g-1) tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap parameter pertumbuhan vegetatif lain. Aplikasi ekstrak paku resam dengan konsentrasi 100 mg.L-1 mampu meningkatkan hasil cabai keriting Kopay seperti berat basah buah (7,06 g) dan jumlah buah pertanaman (28,83 buah).
