Abstract

The curriculum in the Industrial 4.0 era demands developments that can produce graduates with the latest literacy, including data literacy, technical literacy, and human literacy oriented towards noble morals and independence. This study observes the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, especially the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin Students (P5P2RA) Project, at MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin. The results highlight organized management approaches, success factors, and obstacles faced, including budget and facility challenges. Data collection techniques involve in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Research instruments are in the form of interview guidelines, question lists, and observation sheets. The collected data will be analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, data verification, and conclusions. The results showed that the management of the Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin student profile projects faced complex challenges, including team coordination, busy participants, technical obstacles, and evaluation. To address this, a holistic approach is needed with a focus on open communication, schedule flexibility, careful technical planning, and continuous evaluation. Through effective coordination and joint efforts, schools can ensure project success and deliver a sustainable positive impact. This initiative not only creates an inclusive learning environment but also strengthens participants' skills in achieving a learner profile that reflects the values of Pancasila and the spirit of Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin.

Abstract

Abstract

Economic inequality remains a pressing issue in Indonesia, particularly between urban and rural communities. This study explores the potential of Islamic economics as an alternative system to promote justice and social welfare. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, the analysis draws on scholarly literature and institutional reports to examine key principles and instruments of Islamic economics. Findings indicate that mechanisms such as zakat, infaq, and waqf contribute significantly to wealth redistribution and poverty alleviation. Despite these benefits, implementation faces challenges including low public literacy, regulatory inconsistencies, and the dominance of conventional financial practices within Islamic institutions. The study underscores the need for collaboration among government, financial institutions, and civil society to enhance education, reform policies, and innovate Islamic financial instruments. While Islamic economics offers a promising integration of spiritual and material welfare, its success depends on systemic support and stakeholder synergy. Future research should incorporate empirical field studies to validate these findings

Abstract

This study examines the educational thought of classical Islamic scholars—Al-Ghazali, Al-Farabi, and Ibn Khaldun—and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. The research employs a literature review approach by analyzing scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025 retrieved from Google Scholar with active DOI references. The analysis focuses on identifying the key educational concepts proposed by these thinkers and exploring how their ideas contribute to the philosophical foundations of Islamic education. The findings reveal that classical Islamic educational thought emphasizes a holistic approach to human development that integrates moral, intellectual, and social dimensions. Al-Ghazali highlights the importance of moral and spiritual education through the cultivation of character and ethical values. Al-Farabi emphasizes rational inquiry and philosophical understanding as the foundation for building virtuous citizens and a harmonious society. Meanwhile, Ibn Khaldun introduces a sociological perspective that links education with cultural transmission and the development of civilization. The synthesis of these perspectives demonstrates that classical Islamic educational philosophy offers an integrative framework that remains relevant for addressing contemporary educational challenges. Therefore, revisiting the educational ideas of these scholars can provide valuable insights for developing a balanced and holistic model of Islamic education in modern contexts.

Abstract

The study of the sources of Islamic law is a crucial aspect in understanding the normative construction and the dynamics of its application amid complex social changes. This article aims to comprehensively elaborate on the four classical primary sources of Islamic law—namely the Qur’an, Sunnah, Ijma‘ (consensus), and Qiyas (analogical reasoning)—and to examine their epistemological relevance in contemporary contexts. The research employs a qualitative method with a library-based approach, focusing on critical analysis of both classical and modern literature concerning the epistemology of Islamic law. The findings indicate that the epistemological structure of Islamic law is dynamic, open to the process of ijtihad (independent reasoning), and capable of adapting to evolving social realities. In contemporary settings, challenges such as globalization, legal pluralism, and scientific advancement demand a reinterpretation of Islamic legal sources through interdisciplinary approaches. The study also identifies a methodological gap in Islamic legal studies, particularly in integrating maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (objectives of Islamic law) with modern social sciences. Therefore, a new paradigm is needed to bridge the normative Islamic tradition with the needs of modern society, aiming to produce Islamic legal formulations that are more responsive, contextual, and oriented toward public welfare. This study is expected to enrich the discourse on the epistemology of Islamic law and encourage the development of more inclusive and transformative methodologies.
