Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a quantitative study with an explanatory approach, namely an approach that uses previous studies as the main basis for obtaining novelty and is developed in the research being conducted. The data used in this study are secondary data from various credible sources, namely the Central Statistics Agency from 2010 to 2024. The data were analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool. The result in this article show the two hypotheses proposed in this article, namely the Human Development Index variable can have a positive relationship direction and a significant influence on Economic Growth can be accepted and proven. This is because the P-Values are positive and below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.009. The reason for these results is that the Human Development Index which is influenced by Health and Education Levels can have a good, positive, and significant impact on Economic Growth. On this basis, it can be concluded that the first hypothesis in this article can be accepted. In the next section, the researcher also has another hypothesis, namely that the Population Size variable can moderate the influence of the Human Development Index variable on Economic Growth because of the same thing, namely the P-Values are positive and below the significance level of 0.05, which is 0.000 more significant than direct testing of 0.009. Thus, the first and second hypotheses in this article can be accepted. Keywords: Population Size, Human Development Index, Economic Growth

Abstract

Dipterocarpaceae are economically important, contributing over 85% of Indonesia's timber exports. However, this crucial resource is increasingly threatened by illegal logging, habitat destruction, and the illegal timber trade, which jeopardize dipterocarp population. Furthermore, conservation efforts utilizing genetic and forensic techniques often encounter substantial challenges due to the complexities in DNA extraction protocol. To address this, the study aimed to enhance the efficiency of DNA extraction methodologies by comparing two methods: the modified cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and the Genomic DNA Mini Kit (Plant) from Geneaid Biotech Ltd. The research focused on leaf and wood samples from two species, spesifically Rubroshorea leprosula (Miq.) P.S.Ashton & J.Heck and Shorea laevis Ridl. For each of these species, five leaf and five wood samples were extracted using both methods. The quality of the DNA extraction was evaluated using electrophoresis and quantified with a Qubit fluorometer. Higher DNA concentrations were obtained with the modified CTAB method compared to the GeneAid kit for both R. leprosula and S. laevis, particularly in leaf tissue. The GeneAid kit consistently exhibited low DNA yield efficiency compared to the modified CTAB method for both species. Additionally, PCR amplification of both leaf and wood samples confirmed that the extracted DNA was suitable formolecular analyses. These findings not only contributed to laboratory applications but also served as practical tools for species identification and genetic conservation for sustainable forest management and law enforcement.

Abstract

Determining startup valuation is an important aspect of investment decision-making and business strategy, but faces challenges such as limited financial data and market uncertainty. This study used Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze 169 articles from Scopus (2015-2025), and selected 17 studies to examine startup valuation models. The results show that financial approaches, such as DCF and VCM, are more effective for startups with stable revenue, but less relevant for early-stage startups. On the other hand, non-financial approaches, such as Berkus and Scorecard Method, are more widely used for early-stage startups that do not yet have a strong financial track record. Technological innovations such as AI and machine learning are also being applied to improve valuation accuracy. This research suggests that a combination of financial and non-financial approaches is more effective and highlights the research gap in the integration of both approaches, as well as the valuation of blockchain and digital asset-based startups.
