Abstract

The food tourism image, which includes the notion of food, huts, and food activity, is formed by visitors’ perceptions through their experiences. The study aimed to investigate the correlation of food image, huts image, and food activity culinary partially on visitors’ willingness to visit Kawasan Petak Sembilan (KPS) Glodok West Jakarta. Ninety respondents were employed, which were chosen by purposive sampling. The data was analyzed by SMART-PLS. The study reported that huts and food activity images partially correlated positively and significantly with visitors’ willingness to visit. However, the food image didn’t link to visitors’ desire to see it. The KPS is suggested to promote authenticity, inherent to the uniqueness of a destination’s culture and Buddhist temple cuisine. In contrast, many visitors visit KPS for worship in the temple. Keywords: Food Tourism Image, Gastronomy, Intention To Visit, Visitors

Abstract

Glamping is a nature-based accommodation alternative popular in various parts of the world. Glamping is developing rapidly in all parts of the world, but research on the keyword glamping has yet to be widely discussed. Researchers use bibliometric analysis methods to present visualizations and knowledge about glamping. Researchers searched for SCOPUS and SINTA indexed articles published between 2019-2024 via Publish or Perish (PoP) software application. There were 245 published documents found, and only 26 published documents successfully passed the exception selection. Researchers formulated two problem statements: "What are the research trends on glamping?" and "Is the topic of glamping amenable to further research?". This research aims to determine trends in glamping research from 2019-2024 and to determine the development of glamping research to provide recommendations for glamping research in the future. Researcher found ten keyword trends on glamping: glamping, camping, tourism, sustainable tourism, accommodation, experience, accommodation environment, glamping tourism, word of mouth, and tourist resources. The study found that Glamping is a stimulating topic because the glamping trend has become relevant to the tourist profile after the COVID-19 pandemic. Keywords: glamping, glamping trends, nature-based accommodation, alternative accommodation, bibliometric study

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of workation on the work productivity of millennials in Indonesia, taking into account the mediating roles of work-life balance, memorable tourism experience, and technological adaptability. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach, with the population consisting of millennial workers who participated in workation programs in Bali, Yogyakarta, and Bandung during the 2020–2023 period. A total of 300 respondents were determined using probability sampling with the Slovin formula at a 5% margin of error and were then proportionally distributed across the three regions. Data were collected through primary surveys (questionnaires) and secondary sources (literature review), and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that all hypotheses were supported, with key findings showing that technological adaptability, memorable tourism experiences, and work-life balance have a positive and significant effect on work productivity. Workation also directly influences these three variables as well as productivity itself. Furthermore, there is a significant indirect effect, where workation boosts productivity through the mediating paths of balanced life, meaningful travel experiences, and tech adaptability. These findings affirm that workation is an effective flexible work strategy for enhancing employee performance through adaptive, balanced, and inspiring work environments. The study also has significant implications for the development of the tourism sector and labor policy in the digital era.

Abstract

Cultural tourism serves as a dynamic platform for identity  negotiation, heritage preservation, and intercultural dialogue, particularly within community-based destinations. Rather than merely observing static cultural artifacts, visitors are increasingly drawn to immersive experiences that allow them to engage with living traditions and co-create meaning alongside local hosts. This study focuses on Kampung Wayang, a cultural enclave situated in Wukirsari, Yogyakarta, where the traditional art of wayang kulit is not only preserved but practiced as an everyday expression of cultural identity. Here, tourists are not passive consumers but active participants in a dialogical process of cultural transmission. The findings highlight that meaning-making in tourism is contingent upon the intensity and authenticity of interaction with cultural agents such as dalangs (puppet masters), artisans, and community storytellers. For instance, those who participated in puppet-making workshops or engaged in discussions about wayang philosophy reported deeper emotional resonance and cognitive insight. This supports theoretical models that posit experience as a co-constructed, affective, and reflective process. Ultimately, the study confirms that immersive participation in cultural production fosters not only aesthetic appreciation but also a profound understanding of embedded social values such as justice, loyalty, and spiritual balance. These findings suggest that cultural villages like Kampung Wayang serve as critical arenas for sustainable tourism, where the visitor experience transcends commodification and becomes a catalyst for mutual understanding and heritage continuity. As such, the village operates as both a site of memory and a space of transformation a place where local culture is not only performed, but also renegotiated through the eyes of its guests
