Abstract

As the market of halal tourism destinations has increasingly become more competitive, the revisit intention topic has progressively become prominent to emphasize on. This research is designed to find out how much influence of the availability of Muslim-friendly facilities to Indonesian Muslim tourist to revisit intention to Japan. The methodology of this research is quantitative descriptive research in which questionnaire is the major tool in collected the primary data for analysis. The total sample of 100 Indonesian Muslim tourist is obtained for the analysis. The simple and multiple regression analysis are adopted to examine the key factors which significantly predict the revisit intention. The results of this research indicates that Muslim-friendly facilities likes halal hotel, halal restaurant, and prayer room are positively related to the revisit intention. The biggest need of Indonesian Muslim tourist is the availabity of halal restaurants. Regarding the situation of Muslim friendly facilities in Japan, Indonesian Muslim still finds it difficult to locate the facilities despite its availability.

Abstract

Nowadays, Visualization of food appearance has become an important factor in influencing customer satisfaction which is creating an unforgettable experience when people visit to the restaurant. The aspect of visualizing the appearance of food must also be balanced by good food quality in the restaurant. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of visualization of food appearance and food quality in achieving customer satisfaction in Tutup Panci Bistro. In this study, visualization of food appearance has five important factors that support in achieving customer satisfaction, which are; component of the material used, color selection, food texture, shape and size, and layout. Therefore, in previous study, quality of food has three important factors, which are: the taste of food, the variety of menus, and the nutritional content of food. The methodology used in this study was quantitative and qualitative, whereas, quantitative data collection was obtained through questionnaires to 100 guests at Tutup Panci Bistro. Meanwhile, qualitative data is obtained through interviews with food influencers / reviewers. Based on the results obtained, appearance and quality of food have a significant positivity influence towards customer satisfaction at Tutup Panci Bistro.

Abstract

Tourism development in an area is able to give an impact on various dimensions of local people life. One of the impacts of tourism development is on the economic dimension. It happened to Sawahlunto, a city in West Sumatera famous for its coal mines, which slowly developed into a tourist city. The purpose of this study was to find out the Strength & Weakness, Opportunity & Threat and to formulate the development strategy of Kota Tua as a tourism destination in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra. The research method is descriptive method using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the development strategy of the Old City area of Sawahlunto used a lot of SWOT analysis, namely by increasing and optimizing natural resources through good processing, improving road access, and improving the tourism sector of Old City Sawahlunto. Another strategy is improving human resources through counseling and training, socialization of science and technology. The tourism potential of Sawahlunto old town on the 4A tourism component (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities and Ancillary) shows that this area has the potential of historical tourist attraction. The historical heritage of World War II in Sawahlunto is the main tourism potential that is stored. With historical tourism potential, foreign tourists are the target of tourists who are expected to visit Sawahlunto. In order for a historical tourism potential strategy to be implemented, it is necessary to meet the minimum criteria of the tourism component. To meet the service standards of all 4A tourism components, it is necessary to improve the management of 4A tourism components including Attraction, Accessibility, Ancillary, and Amenity.

Abstract

The development of tourism can help the welfare of the rural population through developing a tourist village concept. The potential of the village can be used as a tourist attraction. Klaten Regency has a very abundant potential of springs that located in Ponggok village which is mostly used by local residents for irrigating rice fields, agriculture, and fish cultivation. However, the existing springs in the Ponggok village are now used as tourist destinations that spread across several locations, such as Umbul Ponggok, Umbul Sigedang, Umbul Besuki, Waduk Galau/Banyu Mili. This study uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis and the data obtained through questionnaires distributed and completed by respondents as many as 135 respondents. SWOT analysis is employed to investigate internal and external factors to analyze Ponggok Tourism Village development strategy towards integrated tourism area.

Abstract

Hotel is a labor-intensive industry which until now still requires a lot of human resources in its work operations. The nature of hotel is open for 24 hours to serve guests, especially in operational departments. Overall hotel employees tend not to last long at work. Some employees state that their decision to leave, due to incompatibility with the work environment. This study aimed to analyze the impact of resilience on hotel employees’ engagement in Jakarta. The study was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach. Research respondents were hotel employees in Jakarta area. Data was collected by convenience sampling, by distributing questionnaire which consisted of respondents’ profiles and statement of variable X variable (resilience) and Y variable (work engagement). The data was analyzed by using validity and reliability test, descriptive (frequency and mean), Pearson correlation, coefficient determination and simple linear regression test. The study found that there was a strong relationship between resilience and work engagement. The higher employees’ resilience is the higher employee engagement will be.

Abstract

Technological developments have shifted the behavior of offline bookings to worldwide online booking, including in Indonesia. This country is currently experiencing a significant increase in the number of Online Travel Agents such as Traveloka. In this website, people can see reviews from previous guests on the strengths and weaknesses of the hotel, and it facilitates people to select a hotel matching to their needs and preferences. Previous research proves that online reviews and facilities affect the guest’s stay decisions. This research aims to determine the effect of online reviews, hotel facilities and prices on the decision to stay at the Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi. The method used in this research is a qualitative method to obtain comprehensive, valid, reliable and objective data. The sample used in this research were 100 guests who stayed at the Grand Rocky Hotel with the reservation through Traveloka. Sample selection was based on purposive sampling technique, and data collection was conducted by Likert questionnaires to investigate the effect of online reviews, facilities and prices on the decision to stay. The results reveals online reviews, hotel facilities and prices have a strong influence on the decision to stay. Therefore, online reviews, facilities, and competitive prices serve as marketing tools to increase hotel revenues from the Online Travel Agent.

Abstract

Social media is widely used for restaurant entrepreneurs to market their business due to its ease and low cost. One of such media is Instagram. This research is to determine the effect of Electronic Word of Mouth through Instagram in terms of Intensity dimensions, Valence of Opinion and Content and to find out whether E-Word of Mouth through Instagram has a joint influence on Purchasing Decisions at Twin House Coffee & Kitchen Restaurant, Cipete, South Jakarta. Quantitative research with a descriptive approach is employed. The population covers the customers of the restaurant for 6 months, as many as 20,255. Slovin formula is used to determine the sample size of 100 respondents. Non-probability sampling technique is carried out by convenience sampling technique. The results indicate that partially electronic word of mouth, namely the intensity dimension has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, the valence variable of opinion does not have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decision variables. Content variables have a positive effect on purchasing decision variables. Simultaneously Intensity (X1), Valence Opinion (X2), and Content (X3) variables have a significant effect jointly on the purchasing decision variable (Y) at Twin house Coffee & Kitchen, Cipete Restaurant in South Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify The Youth Travel Characteristic, The Youth Travel Pattern and The Model of Youth Travel Pattern Development in Ambon island. This study used descriptive methods approach. Mean and frequencies are for analyzing respondents’ characteristics. Travel Pattern was analyzed by using GIS software. SWOT analysis was used to develop the Travel Pattern Model. The respondents were 100 youth travels at the age between 15 years - 30 years who visited Ambon City. The research sampling technique was convenience sampling. The questionnaires were distributed between June 2017 – July 2017. This study found that youth travelers who visited Ambon Island was dominated by young local tourists, under 26 years old, well educated, searched for cultural and social values. The main information sources during the trip were from friends or internet and they tend to plan their travel independently or with their family and friends rather then using travel agencies. The main trip driver is outdoor with leisure activities on the beach. This study also found out that security was the most influencing factor in determining travel itinerary of youth traveler. During the trip in Ambon Island, youth traveler was formed five travel pattern. The most travel pattern was formed by youth traveler was a single point. The study developed four youth travel pattern models to incrase the number of youth traveler visiting Ambon Island

Abstract

Taman Hutan Raya (tahura) banten has a natural tourist attractions, such as waterfalls is curug gendang and curug puteri which are often visited by tourists. on the other hand, tahura banten also has a diversity of fauna in the form of endemic birds which are suspected to be a special interest tourist attraction. the purpose of the study was to identify the potential and opportunities of tahura banten as a birdwatching. observations, interviews and documentation were carried out at tahura banten to obtain data on the potential and opportunities for birdwatching with focus group discussions (fgd) with local governments and tourism actors. swot analysis is carried out to formulate a strategy for the tourism component. based on the analysis, the potential for birdwatching tourism in tahura banten found six endemic bird species, tahura banten is also one of the target bird watchers of endemic species on the island of java. in order for the potential strategy and opportunities for bird watching in tahura banten to be implemented, it is necessary to improve the quality of services and improve the quality of tourist facilities. Abstract

This study aims to analyze management strategies for developing and increasing tourist interest in visiting the Terong Creative Tourism Village. This study uses the SWOT analysis method with observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires to the Belitung Regency Tourism Office, Terong Village Government, Pokdarwis, the community, and tourists. The results of this study indicate that the main strategy produced is the SO strategy, with the highest score of 3.70 in position I, which has an aggressive growth policy strategy. In implementing this strategy in the future, the Terong Creative Tourism Village must continue to preserve customs and culture, increase tourist attractions, increase tourism promotion by making cultural arts performances and collaborate with MSME artisans so that they can make souvenirs for tourists with sources. Funds and management of Mangrove forests, Aik Deer tourism. Berehun, arrangement of agro-tourism areas, Bukit Tebalu area, culinary tourism, and so on.
