Abstract

This study focuses on the transformatif leadership of school principals in improving the quality of education management. By using qualitative methods and a literature study approach, this study concludes that the principal's transformatif leadership in improving the quality of education management needs to pay attention to the principal's learning competency criteria. In addition, school principals also need to pay attention to various dimensions of transformational leadership and the existing concept of quality improvement. It is intended that the principal's transformatif leadership will ultimately be able to improve the quality of educational institutions. Thus, the principal's transformatif leadership in improving the quality of education can be achieved optimally, so as to be able to create quality educational institutions.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the crucial role of Islamic education in integrating religious knowledge with general scientific knowledge. The author attempts to draw a connection that both types of knowledge have synergy when practiced together, especially between the knowledge of tawhid and general sciences. The interrelation between these fields can be positioned within the concepts of rahmaniyah (compassion), takamuliyah (completeness), syumuliyah (comprehensiveness), tawzuniyah (balance), istimroriyah (continuity), wasaliyah (connectivity), rabbaniyah (divinity), and uswiyah (exemplarity). The research method involves a literature review and analysis. The significant differences between religious knowledge and general scientific knowledge are the causes of disintegration, leading to an educational dichotomy. First, Western perspectives often deem religious knowledge as unscientific because its object is not empirical. Second, general scientific knowledge is sensory-based, whereas religious knowledge is often perceived as hallucinatory, despite its sources being the Quran and Hadith, leading to a belief system that is not fully accepted. Third, knowledge that is considered objective in religion may not be easily studied by modern scholars, necessitating a scientific message that ensures the existence of religious knowledge as a source of belief, integrated in a balanced manner in the development of theoretical and practical learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan unruk mendeskripsikan hasil kajian tentang konsep “takhallaqu bi akhlaqillah” sebagai proses dan tujuan pendidikan Islam. Untuk mendeskripsikan tujuan tersebut digunakan pendekatan peneltian kualitatif dan metode library research. Bahan kajian berupa buku, artikel  jurnal, maupun hasi-hasill riset lain dikumpulakan, diklasifikasi, direduksi dan dianalisis pat untuk memperoleh simpulan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulakan bahwa “takhallaqu bi akhlaqillah” yang mengandung makna berperilaku dan bersikap sesuai dengan ajaran dan nilai-nilai moral yang ditegaskan dalam agama Islam merupakan rujukan untuk proses dan tujuan pendidikan Islam. Nabi Muhammad yang dinyatakan secara tegas berakhlak al-Quran dan berakhlak mulia  merupakan  sebagai role model atau uswah hasanah bagi ummat Islam dan dengan meneladaninya setiap muslim atau masyarakat muslim telah berakhak dengan akhlak al-Quran dan telah menjelmakan sifat-sifat uluhiyah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk kehidupan yang bahagia, bermakna, bermanfaat.

Abstract

Writing articles aims to explain the concept and mainstreaming of gender in Islamic education. In the world of education, there is still a gender gap that needs to be overcome by strengthening and implementing gender equality. This research is a qualitative type, collecting data using literature studies by collecting data and taking ongoing discussions with research. The analytical method used is content analysis of content. The results of the study show that Islam highly values ​​gender equality which is reinforced in the explanation of the verses of the Koran. The Qur'an implies gender equality between men and women, namely that women and men have equality in terms of humanity, taklif, rewards, and rewards as well as opportunities for achievement. Gender mainstreaming in Islamic education can be carried out by implementing gender equality through curriculum correlation, incorporating gender-based issues into learning, using teaching materials that are not gender-biased, and providing opportunities for all students to participate in the learning process. The application of a gender mainstreaming strategy in Islamic education is very appropriate to be applied as an effort to reduce the level of discrimination and gender gaps in society.

Abstract

Abstracts This research aims to explore the implementation of restoring character education system based on Al-Qur'an in SMAIT Nurul Fajri as an effort to actualize the advancement of civilization. SMAIT Nurul Fajri emerges by providing a strong foundation of Islamic teachings in realizing a civil society in the "post-modern" era. Character education based on Al-Qur'an in SMAIT Nurul Fajri is considered as the main instrument in shaping a generation with noble and responsible morals in accordance with Islamic teachings. Qualitative research method was utilized with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that SMAIT Nurul Fajri has successfully integrated the values of Al-Qur'an into the academic curriculum and school activities. Various teaching methods, including problem-based learning and group discussions, are employed to convey the values of Al-Qur'an to students. Additionally, extracurricular activities with religious orientations, such as religious studies and Islamic literature discussions, also become an integral part of character education in SMAIT Nurul Fajri. In the context of the school environment, character development efforts are carried out through special programs that emphasize the importance of attitudes and behaviors in accordance with Islamic teachings. Teachers and school staff serve as role models who inspire students to practice the values of Al-Qur'an in their daily lives. However, the research also identifies several challenges, including the need for a deeper understanding of Al-Qur'an among educators and resource limitations. Nevertheless, the conclusion of this research asserts that SMAIT Nurul Fajri has successfully become a model in restoring the character education system based on Al-Qur'an. The implications of this research provide valuable insights for Islamic educational institutions in developing character education rooted in the values of Al-Qur'an as an integral part of advancing civilization.Keywords: Restoration, Character Education System, Al-Qur'an, Civilization Advancement AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi restorasi sistem pendidikan karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an di SMAIT Nurul Fajri sebagai upaya aktualisasi kemajuan peradaban. SMAIT Nurul Fajri hadir dengan memberikan fondamen ajaran Islam yang kuat dalam mewujudkan Masyarakat madani di abad “post modern”. Pendidikan karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an di SMAIT Nurul Fajri dianggap sebagai sarana utama dalam membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan bertanggung jawab sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMAIT Nurul Fajri telah berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dalam kurikulum akademik dan kegiatan sekolah. Berbagai metode pembelajaran, termasuk pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan diskusi kelompok, digunakan untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an kepada siswa. Selain itu, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang berorientasi keagamaan, seperti pengajian dan kajian kitab kuning, juga menjadi bagian integral dari pendidikan karakter di SMAIT Nurul Fajri. Dalam konteks lingkungan sekolah, upaya pembinaan karakter dilakukan melalui program-program khusus yang menekankan pentingnya sikap dan perilaku yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Guru dan staf sekolah berperan sebagai teladan yang menginspirasi siswa untuk mengamalkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka.Meskipun demikian, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, termasuk pemahaman yang mendalam tentang Al-Qur'an dari para pendidik dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Namun, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa SMAIT Nurul Fajri telah berhasil menjadi model dalam restorasi sistem pendidikan karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter yang berakar pada nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an sebagai bagian integral dari aktualisasi kemajuan peradaban.Kata Kunci : Restorasi, Sistem Pendidikan Karakter, Al-Qur’an, Aktualisasi Kemajuan Peradaban

Abstract

Pembelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadis di sekolah, terutama di madrasah, dapat menjadi sarana untuk membangun pemahaman agama siswa terkhusus pemahaman teologi Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peran pembelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadis dalam memperkuat pemahaman teologi Islam siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Wawancara dengan siswa, guru Al-Qur'an dan Hadis, kepala sekolah dan kepala divisi dirosah pesantren serta observasi langsung digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadis memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam memperkuat pemahaman teologi Islam siswa. Hal tersebut didukung dengan temuan-temuan seperti: (1) Kurikulum yang terstruktur dan relevan memastikan bahwa materi yang diajarkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan perkembangan siswa. (2) Metode pengajaran yang beragam dan interaktif membuat proses belajar lebih menarik dan efektif serta membantu siswa mengatasi tantangan seperti rasa ngantuk dan malas. (3) Evaluasi yang berkelanjutan dan komprehensif memastikan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap materi selalu dipantau dan ditingkatkan. (4) Integrasi dengan program kepesantrenan memberikan landasan yang kuat bagi pemahaman teologi Islam siswa melalui pembelajaran yang holistik

Abstract

This article employs a critical analysis method to elucidate Ali Ahmad Madkur's views on the philosophy of Islamic education. In this study, we delve into an in-depth analysis of his writings and thoughts, focusing on philosophical concepts he deems controversial. Madkur's seemingly antipathetic stance toward the philosophy of Islamic education is expounded, emphasizing the potential deviation of pure Islamic values through the application of philosophical concepts. The research method encompasses literature review and analysis of Madkur's primary texts. We also consider the practical consequences of Madkur's views on the implementation of Islamic education. In the context of constructive dialogue and continuous reflection, this article provides space for understanding different perspectives and encourages profound considerations regarding the integration of Islamic values with contemporary educational needs.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several problems, both personal and global, including lack of clear strategies and methods, low student involvement, effective assessment and feedback, limited resources, the use of technology in learning the Qur'an, advances in science and technology, democratization and moral decadence. So that Islamic education needs to take strategic steps by fixing several internal problems. In essence, Islamic educational institutions must prepare superior human resources who have competitiveness in the face of global competition, so that the management of Qur'anic tahsin learning becomes very important for educational institutions, especially Islamic boarding schools, to be mastered and implemented by every educational institution. The main objectives of this study are to identify the management of Tahsin Al-Qur'an learning in educational institutions, especially in Al-Qur'an Islamic boarding schools in West Java, namely: 1) analyze the learning planning of Tahsin Al-Qur'an in Pesantren Al-Qur'an in West Java, 2) analyze the implementation of learning Tahsin Al-Qur'an in Pesantren Al-Qur'an in West Java, 3) analyze the results in learning Tahsin Al-Qur'an in the Islamic Boarding School of the Qur'an exist in West Java, 4) analyze supporting and inhibiting factors in learning Tahsin Al-Qur'an in the Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in West Java. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative research which is a response to the presence of something about human existence, not only to understand specific or particular, but all aspects. The results of this study show that Based on the results of a study entitled "Management of Tahsin Al-Qur'an Learning (Pesantren Research in West Java)" it can be concluded that each Islamic boarding school institution has different learning models, learning strategies and ways of evaluating and has different graduation standards so that it has characteristics, pesantren are different even though the same educational institutions are Tahsin al Qur'an pesantren and not all pesantren have management of learning

Abstract

Era disrupsi menuntut pendidikan untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang cepat, kompleks, dan tidak terduga. Pendidikan Islam tidak dapat hanya menyampaikan doktrin agama secara normatif, tetapi harus mampu membentuk insan yang beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia yang siap menghadapi tantangan zaman. Reaktualisasi teologi Islam menjadi sangat penting sebagai landasan konseptual dalam mewujudkan pendidikan holistik yang memadukan aspek spiritual, intelektual, dan moral. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji urgensi reaktualisasi teologi Islam dalam membangun paradigma pendidikan yang holistik di era disrupsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa reaktualisasi teologi Islam dapat memberikan kerangka yang integratif dan transformatif dalam pendidikan, yang menekankan keseimbangan antara hablum minallah, hablum minannas, dan hablum minal ‘alam. Pendidikan holistik berbasis teologi Islam ini diharapkan mampu mencetak generasi yang adaptif, kolaboratif, dan berakhlak dalam menghadapi era disrupsi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects, especially at the levels of analysis (C4), evaluation (C5), and creation (C6). This research is important considering the low achievement of Indonesian students' HOTS in the national education evaluation. The method used was descriptive quantitative, with data collection techniques through Google Form-based written tests to 18 students of class XII SMK Marhas Margahayu. The data was analysed using percentage and average score techniques to measure students' ability levels. The results showed that the majority of students were in the low to very low category, with an average score of 51.85. Only a small number of students reached the high category, indicating the potential for HOTS development through appropriate learning strategies. This finding indicates that PAI learning is still dominantly focused on memorisation and has not optimally developed critical and reflective thinking. The implication of this study is the need to improve learning and evaluation strategies in PAI to better encourage students' higher order thinking skills. In an original way, this research contributes to the development of contextualised HOTS-based evaluative instruments in PAI learning at the vocational level and offers an alternative approach in improving the quality of religious learning in vocational schools.
