Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a key metric for evaluating healthcare quality and is particularly important for BPJS patients in hospitals. This study aims to investigate how various aspects of healthcare quality affect BPJS patient satisfaction by utilizing a literature review methodology. This study reviews previous research published in journals through the google scholar database within a certain year, which are relevant to the topic of service quality dimensions (such as tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) and patient satisfaction. The review results show that all dimensions of service quality have a significant contribution to patient satisfaction levels, with assurance and responsiveness often being the most dominant factors. These findings emphasize the importance of improving service quality in all aspects to support BPJS patient satisfaction in hospitals. This literature review aims to serve as a resource for policy makers and hospital administrators in formulating strategies to improve service quality.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the healthcare referral system has undergone a major shift from a conventional model to an integrated electronic system. Seven scientific articles published between 2020 and 2024 are the subject of this study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the electronic referral system in improving access to health services. The research results show that the implementation of electronic referral systems such as SISRUTE in the JKN BPJS Kesehatan program has improved the referral process and reduced patient waiting times. However, challenges such as limited technology infrastructure, labor shortages, the complexity of system interfaces, and fear of change still exist. Information quality, ease of use, management support, and data integration greatly influence system performance. The electronic referral system is essential for reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in delivery and maternal care services. Therefore, several important recommendations for the development of a referral system in Indonesia are continuous evaluation, increased employee capacity, strengthening regulations, and integration of health information systems.

Abstract

Waste cooking oil remains a pressing issue due to low public awareness of its environmental and health impacts. Repeated use of waste oil increases the risk of degenerative diseases, while improper disposal leads to soil and water pollution. This community service program aimed to provide education and training for the mothers’ religious gathering group in Aek Kota Batu Village on utilizing waste cooking oil to produce value-added aromatherapy candles. The methods applied included socialization, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in candle making using waste cooking oil, paraffin, coloring agents, and essential oils. The results showed improved community knowledge of the hazards of waste oil as well as enhanced skills in processing it into economically valuable products. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm, actively engaged in discussions, and were able to practice candle-making independently. This initiative not only reduced environmental pollution but also created opportunities for small-scale, eco-friendly businesses, thereby contributing to family welfare and strengthening ecological awareness in the community.

Abstract

The performance of healthcare organizations is significantly influenced by the quality of leadership applied. This study aims to comprehensively examine the role of transformational leadership in improving healthcare organizational performance through a systematic literature review approach. The literature search was conducted through Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ResearchGate using the keywords "transformational leadership" and "healthcare organizational performance." Of the 358 articles found, only 10 articles published between 2019 and 2024 met the inclusion criteria and were subjected to further analysis. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership contributes significantly to increased productivity, loyalty, innovative work behavior, and employee commitment in various healthcare institutions, including hospitals, community health centers, and health offices. This leadership style has been shown to encourage the formation of a collaborative work culture and is oriented towards quality service, although its influence is not always direct because it is mediated by factors such as organizational culture, job satisfaction, and self-efficacy. These findings confirm that the implementation of transformational leadership, supported by a solid organizational system, is an effective strategy for improving performance and quality of service in the healthcare sector.

Abstract

Hospital performance is determined not only by clinical indicators, but also by non-clinical factors that reflect the well-being and mental health of medical staff. In recent years, the increase in cases of work stress and burnout among healthcare workers has become a serious issue that directly impacts service quality, patient safety, and organizational sustainability. Therefore, this study is important to examine and develop non-clinical performance indicators that focus on managing stress and burnout among medical staff. This study uses a literature review approach to various relevant national and international studies. The results of the review show that integrating psychological well-being aspects into the hospital performance appraisal system can improve organizational effectiveness and create a healthy and productive work environment. Thus, the development of non-clinical indicators based on staff well-being is a strategic step in strengthening the hospital performance management system in the modern era.

Abstract

The quality of healthcare is one of the main indicators of the success of a national healthcare system. However, to date, many healthcare facilities still face challenges in maintaining service quality and patient satisfaction due to weak human resource management. This study aims to analyze the role of effective human resource management in improving healthcare quality and patient satisfaction. The method used is a literature study by reviewing eight national and international journals published in the last five years. The results of the review show that the effectiveness of HR management has a significant influence on the quality of health services. The main factors that contribute to increased patient satisfaction include the competence of health workers, professional attitudes, work motivation, continuous training, performance appraisal systems, and good HR management. Effective HR management has been proven to increase productivity, improve communication between health workers and patients, and create a positive work environment. Conversely, weak HR management has an impact on low service quality and patient satisfaction. Therefore, the implementation of planned, sustainable, and competency-based HR management strategies is an important step in realizing quality, efficient, and patient-oriented health services.

Abstract

Abstract: Nurses are health workers who play a vital role in providing health services in hospitals, both in technical and non-technical aspects. Good nurse performance is an important factor in improving service quality and patient safety. One factor that can affect nurse performance is the leadership style applied by superiors. This literature review aims to describe the influence of transformational leadership on nurse performance in hospitals. The research method was conducted through a literature review by examining various scientific articles from national and international journals that discuss the relationship between transformational leadership and nurse performance. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership contributes positively to improved performance, job satisfaction, motivation, organizational commitment, and even the quality of patient care. The mechanism of influence of this leadership style lies in four main dimensions, namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Through the application of these dimensions, leaders are able to foster self-confidence, stimulate creativity, and pay attention to the individual needs of staff, so that nurses feel valued and more motivated to provide optimal service. However, some studies have also found that the influence of transformational leadership on nurse performance is often mediated by other factors, such as organizational climate, psychological safety, and work culture. This indicates that transformational leadership is indeed important, but its effectiveness is highly dependent on the internal and external conditions of the hospital. Thus, the application of transformational leadership style is a relevant and potential strategy to improve nurse performance and the quality of health services in hospitals in a sustainable manner
