Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yaitu Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate. Produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini beruba silabus, RPP, LKPD, Video Pembelajaran dan Instrumen tes kemampuan penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik. Validitas produk dinilai oleh enam validator yaitu tiga orang dosen dan tiga orang guru. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa penilaian validator ahli yakni tiga orang dosen memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 82% dengan kriteria cukup valid, sedangkan validator pengguna yakni tiga orang guru memperoleh nilai rata-rata 89,4% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diperoleh 85,57% dengan kriteria terlaksanan dengan sangat baik.  Selanjutnya, hasil rata-rata N-gain untuk kemampuan penguasaan konsep sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika. Development of Learning Tools Based on a Video Assisted Cognitive Conflict Approach to Improve Students Mastery of Physics Concepts Abstract This study aims to develop cognitive conflict-based learning tools to improve the mastery of physics concepts by students in a valid, practical, and effective manner. This research falls under the Research and Development (R&D) category, utilizing the 4D development model, which stands for Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The products developed in this study include syllabi, lesson plans, student worksheets, educational videos, and test instruments for assessing students' mastery of physics concepts. The validity of the products was assessed by six validators, comprising three lecturers and three teachers. The validation results showed that the expert validators, the three lecturers, gave an average score of 82%, with a criterion of sufficiently valid, while the user validators, the three teachers, gave an average score of 89,4%, with a criterion of very valid. The implementation of the learning obtained 85,57%, with the criterion of being very well implemented. Furthermore, the average N-gain score for the mastery of concepts was 0,60, categorized as moderate. Based on these findings, it can be stated that the cognitive conflict-based learning tools are valid, practical, and effective for use in education to improve the mastery of physics concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media PhET (physics education technology) Interactive Simulations dengan model direct instruction (DI) terhadap penguasaan konsep peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 1 PRAYA TIMUR dengan jumlah 137 peserta didik, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh peserta didik kelas VII2 dengan jumlah peserta didik 34 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan penggunaan media PhET interactive simulations dengan model direct instruction dan kelas VII4 dengan jumlah peserta didik 34 orang sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model direct instruction. Sebelum diberikan perlakuan terlebih dahulu dilakukan pre-test untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal peserta didik selanjutnya baru diberi perlakuan dan diberi post-test. Instrumen tes penguasaan konsep dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Berdasarkan hasil post-test kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata 74,41 dan kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata 65,44. Hasil uji prasyarat kedua sampel homogen dan terdistribusi normal sehingga uji statistik yang digunakan adalah statistik parametrik t-test diperoleh 2,527 dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Maka, Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan berupa penggunaan media PhET interactive simulations dengan model direct instruction (DI) berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

The eligibility of recipients of government assistance programs for rural communities is an essential problem in this study. The distribution of recipients of government assistance programs was found to be misdirected. Some rich people receive government assistance programs, but some poor people do not receive government assistance programs. One of the government assistance programs is Community Based Development (CBD), a community development activity directed at increasing community access to achieve better socioeconomic conditions than before development activities to become more independent with a better quality of life and welfare. Everyone wants this assistance program, but the eligibility level of recipients is a problem in distributing it. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). To solve this problem, a decision support system must be created to assist the Dawuan District Office assess the beneficiaries' eligibility. The Composite Performance Index (CPI) method is needed to determine the provision of CBD assistance by using the criteria of income, housing conditions, education, and environment in the calculation. Each criterion's data from each alternative is weighted and summed to get the CPI value and used for ranking. Based on the results of system testing, the data from the calculation of the CPI method can be used as recommendations that follow the eligibility level of the beneficiaries. The most considerable CPI value is 285 on behalf of Mr. Sarip, who first prioritizes getting assistance from the CBD program. The second priority is on behalf of Mr. Budi, who has a CPI score of 265, to be the following reference as a recipient of assistance from the CBD program.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) are designed to prepare students to enter the world of work or business with a focus on specific skills. The Skills Competency Test (UKK) is an effort by the government to ensure the quality of education in SMK. SMK Karya Nasional Sindangwangi organises UKK Mandiri using standardised instruments from the government and involving workplace partners. Currently, the selection of workforce partners in this school still needs to be done conventionally, making it challenging to determine relevant partners. This research aims to build a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine the optimal workplace partners for implementing UKK at SMK using the Multi-Objective Optimization based on Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method. This method calculates the final value converted into a matrix to obtain a value index (Yi) used for partner ranking. The alternative with the highest value from the benefit and cost criteria calculation is considered the best. The results showed PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) as the best partner with a weight value of 0.3235, followed by PT Len Industri (Persero) with a value of 0.2656, PT Akur Pratama (Yogya Group) 0.2240, PT Arta Flash Sintesa Nusantara 0.1844, PT Seong Sin Tech 0.1553, and PT Indosat Ooredoo Tbk 0.1365. This research provides recommendations for optimal workforce partners for vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance eighth-grade students' exposition writing at SMP Negeri 2 Hulu Kuantan through a problem-based learning model. The model facilitates material understanding, improving students' expository text skills and overall proficiency. Noteworthy improvements are observed in the learning process and outcomes. Classified as Classroom Action Research, the research consists of two cycles at SMP Negeri 2 Hulu Kuantan. Data collection includes tests and observations, analyzed qualitatively. Success criteria involve positive value changes in each cycle, assessing triumph in both the process and results. The problem-based learning model effectively elevates students' exposition writing proficiency, fostering focus, group engagement, and enjoyment. Consistent and significant improvements occur across all aspects from cycle I to II, affirming the model's success in enhancing exposition writing skills among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Hulu Kuantan.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' learning outcomes, focusing on how different learning styles—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic—affect its efficacy. Conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Narmada, the research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group setup to measure the impacts of PBL versus traditional teaching methods. Findings from the study revealed significant improvements in the physics learning outcomes for the experimental group, which engaged with the PBL model, compared to the control group that used conventional direct instruction methods. Statistical analysis using a two-way ANOVA showed a significant enhancement in learning outcomes associated with the PBL model (p = 0.030), but no significant interaction between learning styles and the learning model was found, indicating that the PBL model benefits all learning styles equally without preference. These results suggest that while PBL universally improves learning outcomes, individual learning styles do not significantly alter its effectiveness. The study highlights the potential of PBL to not only increase academic performance in physics but also to foster a more engaging and participatory learning environment. It underscores the importance of adopting educational models that accommodate diverse learning preferences and provide dynamic, student-centered learning experiences. This research contributes to the understanding of instructional effectiveness and supports the broader implementation of PBL in physics education to cater to varied educational needs and learning styles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didikpada materi pengukuran di SMAN 3 Praya, Lombok Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan tekhnik non probability atau sampel jenuh, dimana 2 kelas digunakan sebagai sampel kelas XE5 dan XE6. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang berfokus pada empat indikator: kelancaran, fleksibilitas, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen adalah 27,59 dan skor post-test adalah 62,31, sedangkan kelas kontrol memiliki skor rata-rata pre-test 25,84 dan post-test 59,75. Persentase peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif di kelas eksperimen untuk indikator kelancaran, fleksibilitas, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi meningkat dari 49,9% menjadi 78,5%, 25% menjadi 60,5%, 19,3% menjadi 55,5%, dan 16,3% menjadi 54,8%. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t sampel independen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,003 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan dari model CPS terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Skor N-Gain untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 0,47, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol 0,45, keduanya dikategorikan sebagai peningkatan sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model CPS efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik, terutama dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

The use of geoporous asphalt is an environmentally friendly alternative because it is made using waste and in its application it can help water absorption into the soil.. The waste used to manufacture porous asphalt in this study was fly ash (FA) and rice husk ash (AS). Fly ash has pozzolanic properties, and rice husk ash contains carbon (C) and silica elements, which function as adhesives. Using goepore asphalt on the shoulder of the road can be an alternative to faster water absorption without damaging the pavement layer underneath. This study aimed to obtain a mixture variation between FA and AS as fillers for optimal mixture variation in manufacturing porous asphalt. Comparison of filler mixtures in manufacturing test objects with FA and AS mixtures variations using the filler substitution method in the manufacture of regular asphalt, namely cement. In the variation of normal asphalt mixture content, the cement used is 2%  from the weight of asphalt substituted with a mixture of FA and AS for the manufacture of geoporous asphalt test specimens with variations in filler mixture con. This study used 60/70 penetration asphalt with an optimum asphalt content (KAO) of 4.6%. From the test results, it was found that the most optimum mixture content variation was in a mixture of 100% AS: 0% FA with a stability value of 729.556 kg, a flow value of 5.37 mm, a VIM (Void In the Mix) value of 20.86%, a Marshall Quotient (MQ) of 135.82 kg/mm, and a permeability coefficient value of 0.447 cm/sec. The Marshall parameter values and permeability coefficient values  meet the AAPA 2004 specifications, namely 500 kg stability, 2-6 mm flow value, 18-25% VIM value, 400 kg/mm MQ, and a permeability coefficient of 0.1-0.5 cm/sec.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik pada materi momentum dan impuls kelas XI. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Mataram yang berjumlah empat  kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan peserta didik kelas XI. 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa esai sebanyak 9 soal keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, taraf kesukaran soal, serta daya beda soal. Hasil nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi posttest peserta didik diperoleh pada kelas eksperimen adalah 81,02 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol adalah 73,07. Data posttest yang telah diuji normalitas dan dilanjut dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t  polled varians dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil uji hipotesis nilai thitung  2,367 lebih besar dari ttabel 2,002  maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan kriteria nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha di terima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model problem-based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik Fase F pada materi momentum dan impuls di SMAN 6 Mataram.

Abstract

The condition of vertigo if left unchecked will endanger the patient. Vertigo has an impact on quality of life which includes limitations in carrying out daily activities, the risk of falling and can result in injury. This study was conducted to determine the multi-intervention of balance exercise in preventing the risk of falling in vertigo patients. A rapid literature review was conducted on this study related to multi-intervention balance exercises in preventing the risk of falls in vertigo patients from the PubMed, CINAHL, and Science Direct databases. Inclusion criteria for vulnerable full text research articles in 2017-2021 using English. Balance exercise with vestibular rehabilitation, balance retraining, wobble board exercise can be one way to prevent the risk of falling by maintaining balance in vertigo patients and being able to reduce dizziness symptoms, improve quality of life, compliance in exercise and improve dizziness symptoms. Most studies say that balance exercise interventions with vestibular rehabilitation, balance retraining, and wobble board exercises are effective in improving balance, reducing dizziness symptoms in vertigo patients as a prevention of the risk of falling
