Abstract

The study aimed to determine Bujang Dara role and activities Riau Province consideration of the author in using this method of qualitative methods are able to explain the phenomena throuht the collection of data obtained throught interviews. Any data rhat can be processed and clearly defined using a languange that is easily understood. This method does not use the sample population, becauseif the data collected has been profound and explain the phenomenon under study, it is not necessary to find other sampling. This study used a descriptive approach, where this research provides a detailed overview the Role of Bujang Dara Riau Province. While data collection techniques in this research using techniques of observation, interviews and documentation.Based on the research taht has been done, Bujang Dara Has promotion and activities tourism in Riau Province. Abstract

Sijori Resort & SPA Batam in determining the recruitment process of employees are more concerned with the knowledge and skills of applicants compared to the education is owned by the applicants, so that they get prospective qualified workers. Because Sijori Resort & SPA Batam is four star resort, so that housekeeping staff must have a knowledge and skill in cleaning and makeup room, these skills are needed to get a competent and professional housekeeping staff compared another hotels in Batam. The purpose of this research is to know how Sijori Resort & SPA Batam on determining of recruitment process of housekeeping staff and the problems happen when the recruitment is processed, and effort the problem solve when do the recruitment process. This research use qualitative methods with descriptive approach. and the indicators are basic of recruitment, source of recruitment, methods of recruitment, and the obstacles of recruitment. Data is obtain form deep interview with human resources manager and housekeeping supervisor, other than that equipped amplifier data with the checklist form for housekeeping staff, direct observation and documentation. Then data that has been obtained, is analyzed using three steps: reduction data, display data and verification. The result of this research is shows that Sijori Resort & SPA Batam doing recruitment process has apply some criteria from the indicator that has been specified based on the results of the respondent's answers.   Key Words: Recruitment, Housekeeping Department, Sijori Resort & SPA Batam

Abstract

Badeo Kayangan dance is a cultural asset possessed by Okura Malay as a tourist attraction of culture in Okura village. This research aims to describe: (1) The grain attractions Badeo Dance as a cultural tourism asset in Okura village; (2) Function of Badeo dance as a tourist attraction in Okura village; (3) Packaging art of Badeo dance as a tourism asset Malay culture in Okura village. This research uses the qualitative method with an etnographic approach, the subject is Badeo dancer, the Okura indigenous stake holders and the loal community. Data collection techniques that do by deep interview, document study, participant observation and documentation. The data analysis used in this study selecting the research, collecting the data research, make a note of the research analysis and writing of research results. The results of this research in the show, Badeo Kayangan has the unique elements and distintive with its myth, the movement, the music, the players, the crokery and time of the show. Based the function, Badeo Kayangan dance be used as a traditional healing rituals and performing arts facilities. The conclusions of this study is the Badeo Kayangan dance as a potential cultural attractions, the dance has a potential to be developed as a tourism asset Malay culture in Okura vilage by utilizing the potential possessed attractions, formed a cultural tourism package performing arts creative and innovative, increase Badeo dance function of performing arts and entertainment, as well as make promotion efforts.Keywords : Badeo dance, asset, tourism culture, Malay

Abstract

Hotel include business presses on sales of service. One of the activities undertaken by the company to achieve sales goals is to implement good and efficient service to consumers. Without this kind of service efforts to increase sales volume is very difficult because of the many and tight competition that occurs today. This study aims to find out how the quality of service Grand Jatra Pekanbaru Hotel. This research uses quantitative descriptive method to examine the problem in the lift by analyzing the guest response about the service room boy Grand Jatra Pekanbaru Hotel. The questionnaires were distributed as many as 100 people. While data colection techniques in this study using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that respondents assessed the quality of service room boy Grand Jatra Pekanbaru Hotel is good. It is proven through the results of the average total gain of each of the overall variables reliability (33,5%), responsiveness (51%), assurance (45%), emphaty (35%), tangible(43%). The conclusion obtained from guest satisfaction with the quality of room boy service is quite satisfied. Thus the quality of room boy services provided by the Grand Jatra Pekanbaru Hotel can be maintained or improved. Keywords : service quality, roomboy, hotel

Abstract

Work safety is an activity out in order to avoid the risk of accidents or damage at work, in this case there is a SOP standart operational procedure that regulates it. This research was conducted at KOH TIEN MENG (KTM) Resort Batam in the housekeeping departement with a total of seven key informan room attendants. This study aims to determine how the application of work safety in the hotel room KOH TIEN MENG (KTM) Resort Batam. In this case the researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the problem by collecting data or information through interviews, observation and documentation then conclusions can be draw. The result of this study are for the implementation of work safety in KTM Resort Batam hotel room has not been going according to procedures and there needs to be more improvement from both hotel management and employees.Keywords : safety works, housekeeping, roomboy

Abstract

Desa wisata berbasis budaya menjadi salah satu trend pengembangan wisata kerakyatan.penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur persepsi masyarakat lokal terhadap pengembangandesa wisata berbasis adat kenegerian Sentajo. Variabel diukur meliputi persepsi terhadap wisatawan,atraksi, amenitas, aksesibilitas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat menyetujui pembangunanpariwisata dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu upaya peningkatan perekonomian dengan rentangskor 80,21%—100%. akan tetapi, dalam indikator keterbukaan terhadap orang asing dan investorluar, mereka melakukan penolakan secara implisit dengan rentang skor 44,04%—79,36%. Untukitu, kajian pembangunan pariwisata dengan pendekatan etno-ekologi dan dukungan pelatihansangat disarankan sebagai tindak lanjutnya.Kata kunci: desa wisata berbasis adat, persepsi, Kenegerian Sentajo

Abstract

Promotion is a way of communicating that is usually done in an organization whose purpose is to attract potential customers to buy products and services that are sold or offered. This study aims to determine the implementation of the promotion of Guruh Gemurai Waterfall Attraction by the Tourism and Culture Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency and analyze what are the inhibiting and supporting factors of the promotion. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, the subject of this study is the Head of Department, Head of Marketing, Head of the Tourism and Culture Office of the Kuantan Singingi Regency. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis conducted in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the implementation of promotions carried out through 4 (four) techniques which include Advertising, Personal Selling, Sales Promotion, and Public Relations. But until now the results are still not good because there are still many promotions that have not been implemented and have not utilized the promotional media to the full. The supporting factors are usually done such as the presence of entertainment programs and attractions. And the inhibiting factors encountered in the implementation of this promotion are funds that are still very limited to carry out large-scale promotions and infrastructure problems and supporting facilities that are still lacking in Kuantan Singingi Regency. For this reason, in carrying out the promotion of Guruh Gemurai Waterfall Tourism Objects, it is expected to make maximum use of promotional media.Keyword : travel promotion, promotion techniques, waterfall

Abstract

Tourism facilities can be interpreted a facility and infrastructure that must be provided by the manager to the needs of tourists. This study was conducted in Water Front City of village of Rempak subdistrict, Siak District, Siak Regency. This research aims to know how to manage Outdoor Activities facilities for tourists in Water Front City Siak Sri Indrapura. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods to process the data obtained in the field through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires all information collected and studied so that it becomes a unified whole ( Sugiono, 2000). As for the sample in the study of 100 respondents, the determination of respondents with Accidental Sampling. The data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, using the Likert scale as a measuring instrument. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the management of Outdoor Activities for tourists in Water Front City Siak Sri Indrapura with Sub variables stay, eat & drink, service to the desires of the tourists. Keywords: Facilities Management, Outdoor Activites, Water Front City

Abstract

Management means a process, method, actions of the manager, the process of carrying out certain activities by moving the power of others, a process that provides oversight of all things involved in implementing policies and achieving goals. This research was conducted at Pemancingan Poyotomo Tourism Object, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. This research aims to determine the general description of facilities at Pemancingan Poyotomo Tourism Objects and to know the process of facility management at Pemancingan Poyotomo Tourism Object, Bintan Regency, Riau Island Province. Qualitative methode was used in this to obtain the full picture occurs in Pemancingan Poyotomo Tourism Object, Bintan Regency, Riau Island Province where researchers tried to describe the actual condition or state by collecting data and information in the field and data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research that has been done, the facility management of Pemancingan Poyotomo Tourism Object has not gone well due to some poorly maintained facilities. Keywords : Management, Facility and Pemancingan Poyotomo

Abstract

The facilities of tourist attraction gives many visits opportunity because it is needed by visitors. A tourist attraction should pay attention, maintan an develop to the facilities of tourist attraction and it can be able to increase the number of tourism visitors. The aim of this research was to find out how tourist responses about the facilities of tourist attraction of The Great Mosque Madani Islamic Centre of Pasir Pengaraian Rokan Hulu. This research used quantitative descriptive method by analyzing the issues are raised. The sample of this research is 100 samples by using slovin formula. To collect the data, the researcher used questionaire, observation, documentation and interview. To measure the data, the researcher used likert scale tp know the long-short of interval. Based on the result of this research, the responses of visitors about the facilities of tourist attraction of the Great Mosque Madani Islamic Centre of Pasir Pengaraian Rokan Hulu by sub variables are main facilities, second facilities and supporting facilities. All of the whole responses of visitors about the facilities of tourist attraction of the Great Mosque Madani Islamic Centre of Pasir Pengaraian Rokan Hulu from each aspect is included very good category.    Keywords : The Facilities of  Tourist Attraction, Great Mosque
