Abstract

Pekanbaru City has several interesting and unique tourist objects to visit. Therefore, there is a need for a pattern of tourist trips that are arranged to attract tourists visiting the city of Pekanbaru. This research was conducted to uncover tourist objects in the city of Pekanbaru and arrange them in the form of tourist travel patterns.The purpose of this study is to identify the objects and tourism potential in the city of Pekanbaru as well as uncover the cluster of travel patterns and recommend patterns of tourist travel in the city of Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely theory, observation, interview and documentation.The results of this study are to uncover the tourism objects and potential in the city of Pekanbaru, and recommend patterns of tourism in the city of Pekanbaru.Keywords: Travel Pattern, Tourism, Pekanbaru City

Abstract

Rengat Grand Mosque is the first historical mosque which was built in Rengat, this mosque was established in the 21st century of the sultanate, namely Sultan Isa Mudoyatsyah. Rengat Grand Mosque is a religious tourist attraction. Visitors can enjoy the history and experience of religious tours at the Rengat Grand Mosque. Rengat Grand Mosque has fulfilled the standard of attraction in a tourist destination that can be measured with 3 components, namely Something To See, Something To Do, and Something To Buy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze problems based on interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques which are then drawn conclusions. The subjects of this study were obtained from the results of interviews with key informants namely, the Heirs of the Royal Family and the Manager of the Rengat Grand Mosque. From the results of research that has been done, shows that the Rengat Grand Mosque has several attractions, namely the unique architecture of the roof building in the form of Limasan, Mihrab bearing seroja flowers, Nadzor Shower, Pilgrimage, Islamic Da'wah, and Dodol Kedondong as typical souvenirs of Rengat. The obstacles in increasing the attractiveness of the Rengat Grand Mosque are less publicized through various media so that it is only known by word of mouth. Keywords: Attractiveness, Tourist Attraction

Abstract

This study aims to determine Consumer Segmentation at PT. Veronicca Putri Meutuah Tour and Travel Pekanbaru. The population in this study were consumers who bought flight tickets in the 2016-2019 purchase period, totaling 14,318 tickets sold. The number of samples used was 100 people using the Slovin formula. Data collection was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods using survey sheets (questionnaires), observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate segmentation is divided into 4 aspects according to Kotler 1992 in Sunyoto 2012: 57-62 namely geographic segmentation, demographic segmentation, psychographic segmentation and behavioristic segmentation. With the demographic segmentation variables, behavior and geography are very significant in the grouping of consumers in PT. Veronicca Putri Meutuah. Abstract

Purchasing foodstuffs is a basic stage in the production proccess that determines the quality of a dish as well as the stage in product pricing. The purpose of this research is to know how is the mechanism of foodstuff purchasing at Swiss Belinn SKA Hotel Pekanbaru, the process of purchasing started from the process of requisition to the delivery process by the Supplier. This research used qualitative descriptive method to analyze the problem. The sample of this research are 3 informants which is consisting of Purchasing Supervisor, Executive Chef and Receiving Clerk. The technique of collecting data in this research are by observation and interview. Based on the research, Swiss Belinn SKA Hotel Pekanbaru used Power Pro System. The purchase is done by two ways, they are by Market list and Purchase request. Between The Hotel and Supplier does not use the contract system but by establishing good coorperation. The ordering is done by contacting the Supplier one day before production. The foodstuff will deliver by The Supplier on working hours. The foodstuff have to be checked in advance of its completeness and suitability by The Receiving Clerk and then will be stored by storekeeper.Key words : Mechanism, Purchasing, Foodstuff, Hotel

Abstract

Responses in the world of tourism are the opinions or point of view of visitors and tourists in understanding a tourist destination. This research was conducted at the Comforta Hotel Dumai located at jl. jend. Sudirman no. 58, Dumai- Riau- Indonesia. This study aims to determine the responses of sales marketing employees at the Comforta Hotel Dumai. This study uses a Quantitative Descriptive method to process data obtained in the field through interviews, observations, questionnaires and documentation study all information collected and studied so that it becomes a complete unit (Sugiono. 2000). Whereas for the sample in the study as many as 3 respondents, the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation study using a likert scale as a measuring tool. Based on the results of research that has been done, the response of sales marketing employees at the Comforta Hotel Dumai with sub-variables of Physical Needs(86,6%), Security Needs (50,0%), Social Needs(90,0%), Appreciation Needs (66,6%) and Self-actualization Needs (83,3%) with good research conclusions.  Keywords: Motivation, Sales marketing, Hotel

Abstract

The aims of study are determine (1) Handling employee career development based on work experience at food and beverage service Nirwana Gardens Resort Bintan Lagoi; (2) Efforts to improve employee career development in food and beverage service of Nirwana Gardens Resort Bintan-Lagoi.The design of this research is qualitative. The subjects of this research are the key informants, the Human Resourcess Manager Department and the additional informants are Assistant Outlet Manager and Employee of food and beverage service. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques refer to the Milles and Huberman (1992) concepts.The research results show the handling of employee career development based on work experience in food and beverage service of Nirwana Gardens Resort Bintan Lagoi such as Job anlargement, Job Position, Job Rotation, Downwarkmove, Externship has not been implemented maximally and is situational, s should management to handle career development based on work experience will be better Sustainable because it gives a big impact on the company and employment, bias dig deeper potentials and provide opportunities to advance in the career. And efforts to improve employee career development are (1) Career Guidance should be given to the first employee to enter the company so that from the beginning already know the direction and career goals are not utuk employees who promoted aja; (2) Employee training is only for employees who enter the shift only, so that employees who do not enter or different shift can not be an opportunity to attend the training.Keywords : Employee Career, Work Experience, Resort

Abstract

The development of technology has affected the service business to be able to compete in improving the quality service to the guest. The computerized system has been proven to help companies to launch operational work of its employees. This study aims to determine the significant effect of computerized system on the performance of front office department employees at Planet Holiday Hotel & Residence Batam, and to know the responses of front office department employees who use computerized system. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive approach. The data obtained from the results of questionnaires given to respondents and interview as many as 17 people with a census sampling technique which is front office department employees. The hotel uses a computerized system to help running smooth the operational work of its employees in serving guests due to the development and use of technology that is evenly to increase the competition with other hotels as well. From the results of the processed questionnaires, observations, and interviews it can be seen that there is a significant influence between computerized system on the performance of front office department employees at Planet Holiday Hotel & Residence Batam, with the influence of variables of 69.3%. As well as employee responses using computerized systems, prove that the system used is very helpful in completing the work so as to produce good performance.Keywords : Computerized System, Performance, Operational Work, Front Office, Hotel

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the motivation of tourist when visiting to Lawang Park destination, Agam Regency, West Sumatera. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach to describe and explain the situation that occurs by collecting data and information in the field. The key informants in this research were tourists visiting the Lawang Park destination, Agam Regency. In research, the data collection techniques used were questionnaire, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that tourists visiting the Lawang Park Destination stated agree from the 4 indicators of tourist motivation that have referred to the grand theory used. Keywords:  Motivation, tourist, destination

Abstract

Javanese Malay tradition is a one cultural and relogious potential that is like being introduced to tourist who will do tourism activities to Selatbaru Village Bengkalis Districts. This research aims to knows make about tour package Javanese Malay tradition Selatbaru Village Bengkalis Districts. This research using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research subject was the village head, public figure Selatbaru Village, sub-district head, and society Selatbaru Village. Data collection is done by library research, observation, interview, and documentation. While data analysis is done by collecting data, data education, data presentation, and conclusion. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that Selatbaru Village is a tourism destination that offers a wealth of cultural heritage. From that, formed a tour package explored cultural heritage in Selatbaru Vlillage for a day at a cost Rp. 216.000/person and this package also offers tour packages staying for 2 days 1 night at a cost Rp. 513.000/ person. Keyword : Tour Package, Selatbaru Village.

Abstract

The tourism industry is industry that growing very rapidly in the world, the tourism industry is very closely related to its aviation industry. Due to the rapid development in tourism world, will affect the high use of air transportation as a means used for tourists to travel to tourist destination. Through air transportation will greatly facilitate tourists to be able to visit a tourist destination be it in the country or abroad and also will save more time when compared with land and sea transportation.The air transportation is closely related to the Airport. Airport is an airfield, including any buildings and equipment that are minimal to ensure the availability of facilities for air transport to the public. The purpose of this research is to know the airplane passenger’s valuation of terminal building facilities at Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport Pekanbaru.This research uses quantitative descriptive approach with quantitative and qualitative data types to analyze problem. The sample used is 100 respondents and the data obtained through questionnaires, observation and documentation. By using Likert scale as a measuring tool. The results of the research showed the airplane passenger’s valuation of terminal building facilities from various indicators are categorized good. The conclusion of this research is the existing facility in the airport terminal building with good category and the writer's suggestion for airport management is to maintain the condition of the existing facility so that airplane passenger’s valuation on existing facility always good and will be better in the future.Keywords : Valuation, Facilities, Airport Terminal Building
