Abstract

The existence of palm oil companies should have an impact on villages around oil palm companies. However, the status of villages according to the developing village index around oil palm companies are still developing villages. The purpose of this study was to determine the sustainability status of the palm oil company's CSR program in supporting changes in village status. This research was conducted in Kubu Raya Regency with 12 villages and 12 oil palm companies. This study is based on the similarity of indicators between CSR programs and the indicators of the developing village index. The data collected includes primary data and secondary data. The analysis technique uses multidimensional scaling Rapfish. The results of the study show that the sustainability status of the CSR program has the social dimension of unsustainable status with a sustainability value of 24.56, the economic dimension with a value of 57.67 with moderately sustainable status and the environment with a value of 74.27 with moderately sustainable status. The results of the 2019-2021 IDM continue to increase, but the economic resilience index has the lowest value when compared to the social and environmental resilience index.

Abstract

Generasi muda dengan pendidikan tinggi umumnya tidak berminat menjadi petani seperti orang tua mereka. Reputasi petani yang rendah dan pendapatan yang kurang mencukupi menjadi alasan utama. Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan lingkungan sosial terhadap minat bertani kelapa sawit di Kecamatan Ngabang, Kabupaten Landak, menggunakan korelasi Rank Spearman. Pada penelitian ini, data dikumpulkan menggunakan berbagai teknik, termasuk observasi, interaksi langsung dengan subjek, serta penggunaan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan informasi yang dibutuhkan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memilih lokasi secara purposive sampling. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling, khususnya snowball sampling. Responden yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 96 orang, dipilih berdasarkan rumus Rao Purba. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak-anak petani kelapa sawit di tiga desa di Kecamatan Ngabang, yaitu Amboyo Inti, Amboyo Utara, dan Amboyo Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa variabel lingkungan sosial berhubungan positif secara nyata dengan minat berusaha tani kelapa sawit, dan hubungan ini memiliki tingkat korelasi yang kuat (0,711) lingkungan keluarga memberikan korelasi terbesar dibandingkan dengan lingkungan teman sebaya dan masyarakat terhadap minat berusahatani kelapa sawit (0,757). Artinya, semakin baik peran dan dukungan keluarga berusaha tani kelapa sawit, semakin tinggi minat generasi muda untuk terlibat dalam usaha tersebut, dan sebaliknya. Ketika keluarga memberikan dukungan yang positif terhadap usaha tani kelapa sawit, minat generasi muda untuk terlibat dalam berusaha tani kelapa sawit meningkat.

Abstract

Agricultural extension is a system of conveying information and innovation with communication to increase knowledge and skills and change the attitudes and behavior of farmers. The success of agricultural development is supported by the quality of human resources, especially extension agents as the main actors, and farmers as targets. Human resources that consist of individual external and internal factors are the driving force and synergist of other resources to achieve the objectives of counseling. The research aims to formulate the success of counseling through the characteristics of frmers and extension workers with a quantitative descriptive method using the Speech Communication Model theory. Primary data was obtained using interviews and structured questionnaires for 65 extension workers and farmers using proportionate stratified random sampling in 9 sub-districts, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, while the entire extension population was taken, then analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that the characteristics of extension agents had a positive effect in terms of demography, competence, and service input, as well as farmer’s characteristics in terms of demography, characteristics, and communication affordability which had a high effect on the success of extension. Characteristics of farmers and extension workers have a positive correlation with extension activities, which means that the higher ability, competence, skills, and motivation of farmers and extension workers, the success of extension can increase to achieve the goals of extension, realize an increase in the lives and welfare of farmers. Efforts can be made through training activities, technical guidance, and so on as needed. In addition, government support in the provision of financing, facilities, infrastructure, and supporting activity programs in efforts to increase competence and service input in the success of extension.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the right method for the development of  “Erma” powder herbal drink business in Pontianak City. Methods of the variables by analyzing using SWOT and SWOT matrix analysis. The results of study shows that alternative strategy for business development is to maintain product quality to improve marketing, expand product marketing innovation through social media sales, increase the quality and of production. Based on the SWOT analysis of the business position in quadrant I. The strategies that need to be implemented are; support an aggressive strategy, the strength possesses by taking advantage of existing opportunities leads to profit.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja karyawan panen pada PT. Satra Multi Sukses (SMS) di Desa Agak Kecamatan Sebangki Kabupaten Landak dan menganalisis hubungan karakteristik usia, pendidikan, pengalaman terhadap kinerja karyawan panen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Satria Multi Sukses (SMS) di Desa Punyanget Kecamatan Sebangki Kabupaten Landak Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan panen pada PT. Satria Multi Sukses di Desa Punyanget Kecamatan Sebangki Kabupaten Landak Provinsi Kalimantan Barat yang berjumlah 54 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara usia, pendidikan dan pengalaman kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan panen di   PT. Satria Multi Sukses. Hubungan antara usia dan pendidikan terhadap kinerja karyawan panen di PT. Satria Multi Sukses bernilai negatif yang artinya semakin rendah usia dan pendidikan karyawan panen maka semakin besar kinerja karyawan yang dihasilkan. Sedangkan pengalaman kerja bernilai positif yang artinya semakin lama pengalaman kerja karyawan panen maka semakin besar kinerja karyawan yang dihasilkan

Abstract

Pepper farmers' income is often influenced by various factors, both socio-economic and production costs. The aim of this research is to analyze the correlation between farmers' socio-economic characteristics and production costs on pepper (Piper nigrum L) with farming income. The data analysis method used is Spearman Rank Correlation and descriptive data scaling techniques. The research findings show that, regarding farmers' socio-economic characteristics, the factor that has a strong relationship with pepper farming income is age, while education and experience have a moderate relationship. Land area and dependents, on the other hand, show a weak relationship. In terms of production costs, the factor that has a strong relationship is fertilizer expenses, the factor with a moderate relationship is chemicals, while labor, depreciation, and taxes do not show a significant relationship.

Abstract

One of the agricultural subsectors that has the potential to be developed is the livestock subsector. The livestock sector has great potential with the increase in chicken meat consumption every year but has complex problems from both internal and external factors, giving rise to risks and uncertainty. Therefore, there is a need for further research aimed at identifying sources of risk, analyzing the magnitude of production and price risks in partnered and non-partnered broiler chicken farming businesses so that risk management can be identified that can be applied to control risks in broiler chicken businesses in Sanggau Regency. The method used in this research is the method of observation and direct interviews with business owners and collecting data in the form of questionnaires with a combined research approach, namely a method that combines quantitative methods and qualitative methods in research so that more comprehensive, valid, reliable and objective data is obtained. The results of research conducted in Kapuas District, Sanggau Regency show that the risks faced by farmers are social risks in the form of lawsuits and theft, physical risks in the form of fires caused by negligence, production risks originating from DOC quality factors, weather, disease, human resources, predators, cage conditions, food and drink, fluctuations in selling prices, high input prices. The high risk of broiler chicken farming can also be seen from the coefficient of variation value ≥ 0.5, which indicates that the broiler chicken farming business faces the possibility of making a loss in each period.

Abstract

Financial literacy helps independent smallholders make better financial decisions, while individual characteristics such as age, education, and experience affect financial literacy, which can improve the economic welfare of independent smallholders. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the relationship between farming characteristics and the level of financial literacy in independent oil palm farmers. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. Primary and secondary data sources were analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The analysis results showed that education and land area had a significant positive relationship with the financial literacy of independent oil palm farmers, while age and farming experience had a significant negative relationship. Gender and number of dependents showed a weak and insignificant relationship. Education and larger land area tended to increase financial literacy, while age and experience did the opposite.

Abstract

Aktifitas pertanian menghadapi berbagai sumber-sumber yang dapat menimbulkan risiko kerugian. Kondisi tersebut membutuhkan pengelolaan risiko yang baik agar petani dapar terhindar atau mengurangi risiko yang mungkin dapat terjadi. Kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan agar keterampilan petani dalam mengidentifikasi sumber risiko dapat ditingkatkan dan menganalisis upaya pengelolaan risiko yang sesuai dalam menghadapi risiko usahataninya serta merumuskan kegiatan yang dapat mengurangi dampak risiko. Pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Adapun tahapan pengelolaan risiko usahatani meliputi identifikasi sumber risiko, pengukuran risiko dan pengendalian risiko. Dari tahapan pengelolaan risiko petani dapat merumuskan keputusan manajemen dalam upaya memitigasi risiko usahatani meliputi strategi mitigasi dari risiko produksi, risiko harga, risiko keuangan, risiko manusia dan risiko kelembagaan. Perlu adanya dukungan dari pihak pemerintah maupun pihak akademisi untuk melakukan pendampingan dan pembinaan terhadap kelompok masyarakat tani sebagai upaya memitigasi risiko usahatani dengan cara salah satunya menerapkan Biosaka pada lahan pertaniannya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource quality, work professionalism, and continuous commitment on the performance of oil palm harvester employees at PT. Bangun Nusa Mandiri, Ketapang Regency. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with primary data collection through a questionnaire distributed to 100 employees. The data obtained was analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique with SmartPLS Version 3.0 software to test the hypothesis that had been formulated. The results of the study show that the quality of human resources, work professionalism, and continuous commitment have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This finding is expected to contribute to the company in improving the quality of human resources and employee work professionalism in order to achieve better organizational goals
