Abstract

The agriculture and tourism sectors are the country's major economic contributors. The growing intersection between agriculture and tourism presents a unique opportunity to enhance rural development and sustainability. Traditional farming is facing numerous challenges. These include fluctuating market prices, climate change and the pressures of urbanization. In this context, it is clear that agrotourism offers farmers a way to diversify their income stream and increase their resilience. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the consumer decision-making and the factors that influence consumers to visit agrotourism. This study aims to describe the characteristics of agrotourism consumers and analyze the factors that influence customers' decisions to visit agrotourism farms. We surveyed 182 respondents in Kubu Raya, Sintang, and Singkawang City. The results showed a number of factors formed from several variables that influence consumer decisions to visit agritourism, namely Social, internal, psychological and motivation factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan PT Mitra Austral Sejahtera berdasarkan kompensasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 orang. Karyawan tetap PT Mitra Austral Sejahtera di desa Rahayu kecamatan Parindu Kabupaten Sanggau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis indek kepuasan pelanggan/Costumer Satisfaction  (CSI) dan Importance Performance Analyis  (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indeks kepuasan karyawan terhadap kompensasi yaitu berdasarkan nilai Costumer Satisfaction Index (CSI) yang diperoleh berdasarkan penilaian tingkat kepentingan dan kinerja atribut kompensasi yang diterima karyawan PT. Mitra Austral Sejahtera yaitu sebesar 60,33%. Nilai ini tergolong ke dalam kategori cukup puas karena berada pada rentang 51% "“ 65%. Hasil diagram Imporatan Performance Analysis  (IPA) untuk kompensasi karyawan menunjukan nilai rata-rata Xi = 4,01 dan Yi = 3,89. Atribut di dalam kuadran I menunjukan proses perbaikan yang harus segera dilakukan perusahaan, karena itu atribut yang masuk dalam kuadran ini menjadi prioritas perbaikan yang kinerjanya harus diperbaiki untuk meningkatkan kepuasan karyawan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi nanas di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan model regresi linear berganda. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Tempat penelitian ini diambil dengan sengaja (purposive) yaitu di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Lokasi yang dipilih merupakan salah satu perkebunan nanas yang memiliki produksi yang paling tinggi di Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh hasil output yang menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel bebas yang terdiri dari luas lahan, jumlah bibit, kapur, pestisida, pupuk urea, pupuk NPK dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produksi nanas di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Sedangkan hasil analisis data yang diuji secara parsial disimpulkan bahwa luas lahan, pestisida, pupuk urea dan pupuk NPK berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap produksi nanas, sedangkan jumlah bibit, kapur dan tenaga kerja tidak berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap produksi nanas di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya.

Abstract

The national economy benefits significantly from the horticulture sub-sector. Biopharmaceutical plants are plants in the horticulture sub-sector which have various advantages. Ginger is a plant that has long been used for biopharmaceuticals as an export product. However, there is no perfect or cheap framework for ginger development yet, which leads to low quality and efficiency. Even though North Pontianak Subdistrict is the largest ginger producing area in Pontianak City, there are several challenges, especially fluctuations in ginger production over several years. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of production risk and the factors that influence the production of ginger farming on peatlands in North Pontianak sub-district. There were 35 people who became respondents to the study, and this research was a population study. The research was conducted by purposive sampling, and using a quantitative descriptive method. Analysis of the level of production risk is carried out by analyzing the coefficient of variation (CV) and the factors that influence production risk using the cobb function analysis of Douglass just and pope model. This research can be used as a consideration for reducing the production risk of ginger farming in North Pontianak District so as to provide benefits in agriculture. The results showed that the level of production risk in North Pontianak Subdistrict was low, and the factor affecting production was urea fertilizer and land area affecting production risk.

Abstract

One of the leading commodities in the plantation sub-sector in West Kalimantan is pepper (Piper nigrum L). Total pepper production in 2020 is 4,970 tonnes. In 2021, the pepper planting area in West Kalimantan will have increased by 36.49%, with a total production of 476 tons. Paloh District is an area that has a planting area of 471 hectares and the lowest productivity of 0.28 metric tons. This study aims to formulate a strategy for the development of pepper farming in Paloh District, Sambas Regency. SWOT analysis was used in this research methodology with 43 respondents who were taken using a purposive sampling method. The results showed that the biggest internal factors were the strength, namely the availability of farming land, and the weakness, namely the lack of fertilizer. While the biggest opportunity factor is pepper, which is an export product with the threat of falling pepper prices.

Abstract

Population growth that continues to increase, if not balanced by an increasing rice production, will lead to a shortage of rice supply in Indonesia. The "salibu" rice variety regrows after the remaining stems are cut, with shoots emerging from nodes within the soil. This study aims to determine the production factors and income of "salibu" rice farming. The respondents consisted of 50 rice farmers from Sabaran Village, South Jawai District, Sambas Regency. The analytical tool used was Cobb-Douglas production function regression analysis using SPSS 25 software. Based on the research results: 1) Land area significantly affects at a confidence level of α 0.01 or 1%, labor and NPK fertilizer significantly affect at a confidence level of α 0.05 or 5%, and urea fertilizer significantly affects at a confidence level of α 0.10 or 10%. However, insecticide, seeds, and growth regulators (ZPT) do not significantly affect production of "salibu" rice at α levels of 0.01, 0.05, and 0.10. 2) The income of "salibu" rice farmers is IDR 77,266,951/farmer/planting season. Meanwhile, when measured per harvest, the average income of farmers is sorted as IDR 22,740,690, IDR 28,579,835, and IDR 25,709,505.

Abstract

Rice is one of the leading commodities in the food crop sub-sector which is being widely developed in line with the current increasing national food needs. Efforts to enhance rice production are frequently impeded by different agricultural risks. The farming sector's vulnerability to weather, climate, pest and disease issues, volatility in input and output prices, market possibilities, limited capital, and farmer management make optimal production efforts difficult to achieve. This condition has an impact on farmers' perceptions in the decision-making process for rice farming in the future. The individual characteristics of farmers also mean that perceptions in responding to the risks of farming are often different between other farmers. This study seeks to investigate farmers' opinions of lowland rice farming risks and to examine the relationship between farmer characteristics and perceptions of lowland rice farming risks in Sungai Kakap District. Data was gathered using interviews, questionnaires, and observations. This study employs quantitative descriptive methods including interval class analysis and Spearman Rank correlation. The results indicate that farmers in Sungai Kakap District exhibited negative perceptions toward the risk of lowland rice farming. Other from that, farmer factors such as education level, farming experience, and wealth have a major impact on the perception of risk in lowland rice cultivation in Sungai Kakap. Therefore, to reduce farmers' unfavorable perceptions of the dangers of lowland rice farming, it is vital to manage risks effectively and develop farmers' knowledge and skills in lowland rice farming.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the extent to which motivation and discipline influence the performance of harvest employees at PT. Sinar Dinamika Kapuas 1, located in Melawi Regency. A quantitative approach was employed, with primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 122 employees of the company. The collected data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, assisted by SmartPLS version 4.0 software to test the formulated hypotheses. The results indicate that both motivation and discipline have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. These findings are expected to serve as input for the company in enhancing employee motivation and discipline to better achieve organizational goals.

Abstract

In Sungai Kakap District, farmer groups serve as a platform for farmers to enhance production capacity, adopt agricultural technology, and strengthen collaboration among members. However, the performance of farmer groups in this area still faces several challenges, such as low member participation, lack of innovation, and limited access to resources. This study aims to analyze the performance of farmer groups in Sungai Kakap District. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, with a purposive sampling technique selecting 50 farmer groups and 150 farmer group members across 13 villages. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and scoring techniques. The results indicate that the overall performance of farmer groups in Sungai Kakap District falls into the good category. Farmer groups have effectively fulfilled their three main functions: as a learning class, a collaboration platform, and a production unit. Improving the performance of farmer groups in Sungai Kakap District can be achieved through enhancing managerial capacity, strengthening internal capital, improving the quality of learning classes, reinforcing external partnerships, conducting regular evaluations and monitoring, and increasing member participation.

Abstract

Karet alam sebagai produk ekspor merupakan sumber pendapatan devisa utama setelah minyak kelapa sawit. Banyaknya Perkebunan karet rakyat yang beralih mejadi Perkebunan kelapa sawit. Namun, perluasan lahan untuk industri kelapa sawit sering dikritik karena berdampak buruk terhadap deforestasi, peningkatan emisi karbon, dan kehilangan biodiversitas. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan perkebunan karet milik masyarakat dengan menggunakan metode Rap-rubber dan pendekatan Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). Pendekatan MDS ini mencakup berbagai aspek termasuk ekonomi, ekologi, sosial, teknologi, dan kelembagaan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Boti, Kecamatan Sekadau Hulu, Kabupaten Sekadau, menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan petani dan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik serta sumber literatur relevan. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah petani karet rakyat yang berjumlah 36 petani. Hasil analisis keberlanjutan menunjukkan hasil dari dimensi ekonomi 59,30 masuk katagori cukup berlanjut, teknologi 44,57 dan ekologi 32,95 masuk kategori kurang berkelanjutan untuk dimensi kelembagaan 15,01 dan sosial 13,58 masuk kategori tidak berkelanjutan, Dimensi Ekonomi harus dipertahankan dan diperbaiki lebih lanjut untuk mencapai status sangat berkelanjutan
