Abstract

Matematika sering kali dianggap sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran yang menantang bagi banyak siswa. Kompleksitas materi dan kurangnya minat dapat mengakibatkan rendahnya motivasi belajar, yang berdampak negatif pada prestasi akademis mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Motivasi belajar merupakan elemen kunci dalam pencapaian akademis, dan pemahaman terhadap faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi motivasi tersebut sangat penting untuk meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap siswa di beberapa sekolah menengah. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur aspek-aspek seperti lingkungan belajar, dukungan orang tua, serta minat dan sikap siswa terhadap matematika. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan dukungan orang tua memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Sebaliknya, kurangnya minat terhadap matematika dapat menghambat motivasi belajar. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pendidik dan pengambil kebijakan dalam merancang strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di bidang matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh evaluasi pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII di SMP Swasta Ar-Rahman. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket yang mencakup beberapa aspek evaluasi, seperti frekuensi pemberian evaluasi oleh guru, pemahaman siswa terhadap materi setelah evaluasi, serta dampak evaluasi terhadap motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 45,8% siswa menyatakan guru sering memberikan evaluasi setelah pembelajaran, dan 50% siswa merasa bahwa evaluasi membantu mereka memahami materi dengan lebih baik. Selain itu, 45,8% siswa menyatakan termotivasi untuk belajar lebih giat setelah evaluasi, sementara 41,7% merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menghadapi pelajaran matematika.Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa 50% siswa menyatakan guru sering menjelaskan tujuan evaluasi sebelum pelaksanaan, dan 41,7% merasa evaluasi tersebut sesuai dengan kemampuan mereka. Sebanyak 50% siswa menyatakan bahwa umpan balik dari guru setelah evaluasi jelas dan bermanfaat. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran yang konsisten dan adil dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Umpan balik yang relevan dan jelas juga berperan penting dalam membangun kepercayaan diri siswa terhadap kemampuan mereka dalam memahami matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif  dengan  metode deskriptif, yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh evaluasi pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan yang berjumlah 1077 siswa, dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI - 5 SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua variabel, meliputi variabel dependen evaluasi pembelajaran dan variabel independen hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ekstraksi data angket dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan rumus regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan data yang telah ada, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh evaluasi pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan, yang berarti hipotesis (Ha) diterima dan (H0) ditolak. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis regresi yang memperoleh: Rhitung  ( ) Rtabel, yaitu pada taraf signifikasi 5% Rtabel = 0,781. Berdasarkan perhitungan koefisien Determinasi sebesar R2 = .

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology currently demands a transformation in the education assessment system, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK). One of the challenges faced is the limited facilities and infrastructure such as computer laboratories that are not comparable to the number of students, so that the implementation of computer-based test (CBT) is less than optimal. The aim is to develop an Android-based CBT assessment system that is integrated with the Case Method in the Business Economics subject in SMK. This innovation is designed so that students can take exams anytime and anywhere, without being constrained by limited computer devices or internship schedules. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development method with the Waterfall Development Model approach to build the system. The developed system was validated by material and media experts, followed by small-scale and large-scale trials on class XI students of SMK Negeri 14 Medan. This Android-based CBT system is effective and feasible to use. In terms of usability, this system received a positive response from students, with high scores on indicators of ease of use, speed of access, and time efficiency. The integration of Case Method- based questions has also been shown to improve students' understanding in solving real problems in the field of Business Economics. The CBT system based on Android integrated with Case Method is able to be an effective solution to overcome the limitations of facilities and infrastructure in vocational schools. The implications provide significant contributions in supporting the digitalization of education and improving the quality of learning evaluation in schools.

Abstract

Pension funds play a crucial role in ensuring financial security in retirement, yet many individuals struggle with understanding and accurately calculating their future pension benefits. This research aims to provide an interactive learning platform that allows users to understand and calculate pension fund projections more accurately, by integrating the Cox Ingersoll Ross (CIR) interest rate model into the e-learning system, so as to improve users' financial literacy, especially in retirement planning. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE method, data through research instruments such as pre-test and post-test questionnaires, system usability assessment forms, semi-structured interview guides, and system usage observation sheets, which are then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The results show the creation of an effective and user-friendly e-learning system for calculating pension funds, with the successful implementation of the Cox Ingersoll Ross interest rate model into the system, which resulted in a significant increase in user understanding of the concept of pension funds and the use of the CIR model. The developed e-learning system has proven effective in improving user understanding of pension fund calculations, with the use of the Cox Ingersoll Ross interest rate model providing more accurate and realistic projections, thus contributing significantly to improving user financial literacy, especially in the aspect of retirement planning.

Abstract

Quality learning requires the systematic integration of literacy and numeracy as foundational competencies that support students’ critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and overall academic achievement. This literature review aims to identify the specific strategies used to integrate literacy and numeracy and evaluate their impact on critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and student engagement within the Indonesian education context. A narrative literature analysis was conducted by reviewing empirical studies, national education reports, and policy documents published between 2009-2023. Sources were screened based on their relevance to integration models, curriculum implementation, and measurable learning outcomes. The findings indicate that literacy–numeracy integration is most effective when implemented through contextual learning materials, project-based learning, and the Independent Curriculum, which collectively enhance students’ analytical thinking and comprehension of academic concepts. Evidence also shows that literacy-focused interventions and expanded access to learning resources increase motivation and engagement, although numeracy performance remains comparatively lower and requires stronger reinforcement. Overall, this review demonstrates that meaningful integration of literacy and numeracy contributes significantly to students’ readiness to engage with complex academic tasks. The study concludes that targeted integration strategies, supported by appropriate curriculum structures and equitable access to learning resources, are essential for improving learning quality across educational levels.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study addresses the challenges of limited teaching materials and the need for innovative tools to enhance students' statistical literacy and self-efficacy by developing inferential statistics teaching materials integrated with Statcal software. The primary aim is to create and evaluate the effectiveness of these materials in improving students' skills and confidence in statistical learning. Methodology: The research employed a qualitative approach and involved collaboration with two material expert lecturers, one statistical program expert lecturer, and one student. The development process followed four stages: definition, design, development, and dissemination, ensuring a comprehensive framework for creating effective teaching resources Main Findings: Validation results showed the materials were valid with a score of 4.21, practical with an 83.72% score, and effective with an 82.4% score, all in the good category. Additionally, the teaching materials significantly improved students' statistical literacy (72.78%) and self-efficacy (73.52%), categorized as good. Novelty/Originality of this study: The utilizing interactive tools such as Statcal, students can understand statistical concepts more deeply through a practical and contextual approach. This is relevant to be applied to statistics learning in schools and universities, especially in preparing students to face the challenges of the digital data era. In addition, this study also encourages teachers to integrate technology in learning to create a more engaging and effective learning experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sejarah perkembangan ilmu matematika serta menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap pendidikan matematika. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan pembelajaran matematika yang masih berfokus pada pemahaman prosedural dan hafalan rumus, sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana integrasi sejarah matematika dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur (library research) dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber relevan seperti buku, artikel jurnal, dan prosiding konferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sejarah matematika memiliki peran penting dalam menjadikan pembelajaran lebih bermakna dengan mengaitkan konsep abstrak dengan konteks historisnya. Hal ini membantu siswa memahami asal-usul, perkembangan, dan penerapan konsep matematika sehingga meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual serta membentuk sikap positif terhadap matematika. Selain itu, integrasi perspektif sejarah dapat memperkaya strategi pembelajaran dan mendukung keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi sejarah matematika dalam pembelajaran merupakan pendekatan pedagogis yang efektif dan berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving senior high school students’ critical thinking skills on the topic of function transformations. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with one experimental class taught using the PBL model. The subjects of the study were 30 students. The research instrument was a critical thinking test covering the following indicators: analyzing and formulating problems, providing further explanations, developing strategies and tactics, and drawing conclusions. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, N-Gain, and Cohen’s d. The result of the study showed that: (1) the average pretest score of 46,45 increased to 85,07 in the posttest, with a classical mastery level of  75%; (2) the t-test revealed a significant difference (Sig.0,05); (3) the mean N-Gain score was 0,73, categorized as high; and (4) Cohen’s d was 4,63 categorized as a very strong effect.Keywords: Problem-Based Learning, critical thinking skills, N-Gain, Cohen’s d, t-test

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara matematika dan ekonomi melalui analisis berbagai penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari 30 jurnal yang relevan dengan topik hubungan matematika dan ekonomi. Data dianalisis melalui proses identifikasi, pengelompokan tema, serta sintesis literatur untuk menemukan pola dan kecenderungan penelitian yang ada. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa matematika memiliki peran penting dalam berbagai aspek ekonomi, antara lain sebagai dasar analisis ekonomi, dalam pengembangan model dan metode matematis untuk menganalisis fenomena ekonomi, serta dalam meningkatkan literasi finansial dan pengambilan keputusan ekonomi. Selain itu, matematika juga berperan dalam bidang pendidikan ekonomi, pengembangan kurikulum kontekstual, serta analisis kebijakan sosial dan pemerintahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa matematika merupakan alat analisis yang penting dalam ilmu ekonomi karena mampu membantu menjelaskan hubungan antar variabel ekonomi secara sistematis dan kuantitatif. Integrasi antara matematika dan ekonomi juga memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan teori ekonomi, pembelajaran matematika kontekstual, serta pengambilan keputusan ekonomi yang lebih rasional.
