Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic restrictions have adversely affected individuals and communities. One potential solution is to use zakat to support public welfare. However, the pandemic's initial phase led to a decrease in the collection of zakat funds. Fortunately, the emergence of FinTech has facilitated an increase in zakat collection. This study examines the payment of zakat through FinTech from the perspective of Islamic Sharia Law. Utilizing scientific literature analysis and Al-Quran studies, the findings suggest that paying zakat through FinTech is not prohibited. The various digital zakat facilities available have the potential to motivate people to pay their zakat to institutions, particularly during the pandemic. To maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of FinTech in increasing the volume of zakat payments, we recommend that three interested parties take certain steps, which will be conveyed later. Using FinTech for zakat payments can help alleviate the pandemic's impact on public welfare.

Abstract

The communication and information openness era, which has become increasingly massive after the COVID-19 Pandemic, has encouraged open relations between the community and state universities in education programs, especially budget management. This study aims to analyze the determination of state university budget management in terms of budget realization, the role of technology, and public information disclosure. This study raises the dimensions of the variable position of technology, perceptions of budget realization, public information disclosure, principles of general financial management, transparency, and accountability concerning managing state finances in universities. Convenience sampling became the technique chosen for sampling and was further analyzed with the SEM-PLS procedure through the SmartPLS application with 237 respondents. This study found the effect of budget realization and public information disclosure in fulfilling the principles of positive public financial management. However, this study does not support the role of technology in supporting the principles of public financial management. This study also notes the positive influence of public financial management principles on state universities' transparency and accountability. Abstract

Global environmental problems are receiving increasing attention from academics, policymakers, regulators, activists, and the public. Although economically significant, Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) are the main contributors to environmental pollution. Environmental Accounting (EA) calculates the cost of the environmental impact of business operations. However, it is unclear whether environmental impact costs have been calculated in traditional accounting. The millennial generation dominates MSME owners in Indonesia. This study analyzes the factors that encourage the intention of millennial MSME owners to apply Environmental Accounting Practices. This study uses the theory of planned behavior and an online survey with 164 respondents. Data analysis using PLS-SEM. The results show that the benefits of environmental accounting, price, complex integration, and subjective norms affect the attitude of millennial MSME owners toward environmental accounting. The price and complexity of integration encourage millennial MSME owners to control their behavior. Organizational environmental regulations and orientation have no significant effect. Subjective norms, attitudes, and behavioral controls affect the behavioral intention of environmental accounting in millennial generation MSMEs. These findings are essential for MSME owners, policymakers, MSME associations, and Indonesian academics.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic and the Epidemiological Transition are driving the pace of development of an increasingly advanced health system. The health service industry revolution has made all providers compete with each other to gain a competitive advantage amid Indonesia's potential health market. The insistence on oversight of competition in the health industry that is free from elements of the crime is fundamental to ensure that no party is disadvantaged in the healthcare industry environment. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of competition in the health service industry, the clinic industry, hospitals, health insurance, clinical pharmacy, medical devices, and traditional medicine in Indonesia from the perspective of business competition law and review the role of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) in preventing monopolistic practices. And unfair business competition in the health services sub-sector. This study uses a PRISMA-based systematic literature review with 38 articles ready for analysis. The results showed that competitor in the healthcare industry was hidden but dangerous, namely cheating and hiding hands with patients, the health business mafia, and corporate monopoly, which occupied the highest health business rating. Apart from that, KPPU found a crucial role in the shield function of supervising competition in the health service industry, which is very intriguing and full of loopholes for law violations.

Abstract

Global population growth and improved transportation The Jakarta metropolitan area contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented policies to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles, but the growth of electric vehicles in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area still faces challenges. The study aims to investigate the psychological and social factors influencing people's intention to switch to electric vehicles and their contribution to the region's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The quantitative approach was taken using an online survey method on 200 Jakarta metropolitan communities with a purposive sampling withdrawal technique. This study chose the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique. The analysis showed that electric vehicle knowledge and environmental concern significantly positively affected subjective norms, attitudes and perceived behavioural control. These three psychological drivers found their role in the intention to switch to electric vehicles and SDGs Contribution. Recommendations focused on strengthening fiscal transportation policies, supporting infrastructure and sustainable transportation planning at metropolitan Jakarta and national scales.
