Abstract

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a usually abnormality in elderly men. This study aims to explain the influence between residence factors and lymphocyte levels on the incidence of BPH. This study used an analytic observational research design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were medical records of histopathology preparations at the PA Laboratory of PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital. The sample in this study was medical records of histopathology preparations with a diagnosis of prostate tumor from 2021 to 2024 using the principle technique of total sampling. The research instruments used in this study were laboratory medical records and medical record units at PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital. Data analysis techniques in this study include univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test, and multivariate test using logistic regression test. The results of this study found that there is a significant influence between residence factors and the incidence of benign prostate hyperplasia (P=0.02; OR=7.00). There is no significant correlation between lymphocyte level (%) and the incidence of benign prostate hyperplasia (P=0.040; OR=0,957). The residence variable has a greater influence on the incidence of benign prostate hyperplasia than the lymphocyte level factor.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic health issue that significantly impacts the physical growth and cognitive development of children, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to classify stunting status among toddlers in the Singgahan District by applying the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, optimized using Grid Search Cross-Validation. The dataset consists of 642 toddler records with nine attributes representing nutritional and growth conditions. The classification process involves several stages, including data preprocessing, handling data imbalance using the SMOTE method, and model performance evaluation through 5-fold cross-validation. The results show that the SVM algorithm without optimization achieved an accuracy of 69.83%, while optimization with Grid Search Cross-Validation significantly increased the accuracy to 93.33%. These findings indicate that the application of SVM with hyperparameter tuning via Grid Search Cross-Validation is effective in improving classification accuracy for stunting status in toddlers. This research contributes to the use of machine learning in supporting decision-making processes in public health sectors.

Abstract

UD. Kurnia Makmur is a shop that sells various building materials including cement. Previously, the shop UD. Kurnia Makmur still had difficulty in determining the amount of cement stock that should be provided, UD. Kurnia Makmur often also experiences shortages or excess stock due to the rise and fall of inconsistent market demand. Therefore, a forecasting method is needed that can help make better decisions in estimating the amount of cement stock that must be provided. The method used to predict cement stock in this study is the single moving average and double moving average methods. The purpose of this forecasting study is for the company to know the amount that must be provided according to consumer demand for cement sales and to know the accuracy between the single moving average and double moving average methods. Because the previous journal showed that both methods produced a MAPE of less than 10% where, it can be interpreted that if the MAPE is less than 10% then the forecast is very good. In calculating the accuracy of this study using MAD (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) and MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) using Microsoft Excel as the calculation tool. After being calculated using Microsoft Excel, the results obtained in the study were MAD of 30.72 and MAPE of 2.0% for the single moving average, while the double moving average produced MAD of 19.0 and MAPE of 1.24%.

Abstract

The Healthy Indonesia Card is health insurance that is subsidized by the government for underprivileged people, but the provision of the Healthy Indonesia Card is not evenly distributed, because the selection of recipients of this KIS assistance is done manually. The government must provide adequate health facilities for underprivileged people with health insurance that is right on target. Therefore, this research is a solution for village governments in sorting KIS recipient participants automatically using a system, so that KIS distribution can be even and on target. The method used in this research is the K-Means algorithm which can group residents to recommend recipients of KIS assistance in Katur village. And implementing the K-Means method allows structured processing, resulting in accurate and efficient recommendations. There are 150 data from Katur village residents. And the calculation results from this system, cluster 1 has 90 residents and cluster 2 has 60 residents. With the provisions, cluster 1 is the priority that gets KIS. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the KMeans Clustering algorithm to the recommendation system for Healthy Indonesia Card recipients produces an accuracy of 89.3% and is proven to be effective. This implementation was successful in finding residents who were worthy of receiving KIS assistance.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the most common cancer that causes death in women. This cancer is mainly caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). It is estimated that 52 million of Indonesian women are at risk of having cancer, and 36% of female cancer patients suffer from cervical cancer. This type of cancer cannot be diagnosed immediately as there is several years of pre-malignancy phase; thus, early detection or screening is needed to prevent it from turning into malignant. Pap test as a screening program can detect cancer, precancer, and normal condition. To understand the predicting factors of the test results, a comprehensive mathematical modelling was created using the link function of Bayesian Ordinal Logistic Regression. This study observed several possible factors that may affect Pap test results in Tuban regency, namely Age (X1), Education (X2), Childbirth Experience (X3), Use of Contraceptives (X4), Menstrual Cycle (X5), Age of First Menstruation (X6), History of Miscarriage (X7), Anemia (X8) and Number of Sexual Partners (X9) . The outcomes indicated that the predicting factors of Pap cervical cancer results are Age (X1), Education (X2), Childbirth Experience (X3), Use of Contraceptives (X4), Menstrual Cycle (X5), and Anemia (X8). In this model, there is an inexplainable error dependency as indicated by the varied constance values of alpha.
