Abstract

This study aims to determine the right type of feed on the growth, efficiency and survival rate of fish seed Marble goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata). This research was conducted in Integrated Laboratory of Marine and Fisheries Faculty of Syiah Kuala University from October to November 2016. The research consist of 4 treatment levels and 5 replications. The treatments were A = (Trash Fish), B = (Sea worm), C = (Silk Worm), D = (Small Shrimp), with 1-2 cm fish sizes stocked in 25 liters jars and fed three times daily as much as 5% of biomass for 30 days. ANOVA test showed that the different live feed effected on weight growth, specific growth rate, feed convertion ratio, feed efficiency and survival rate (P 0.05). The results of this study showed that the highest value of the growth rate was in the treatment C worms with absolute weight (W) = 0.4 gr, absolute length = 2.2 cm, SGR= 5.6%/day, FCR= 3.4, FE= 28.95% and Survival Rate = 100%. While the lowest value was on treatment A with absolute weight (W) = 0.2 gr, absolute length = 2.1 cm, SGR = 4.1%/day, FCR= 4.4, FE= 22.27% and Survival Rate = 91%Keywords : live feed, marble goby, growth       Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis pakan yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan, efisiensi dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan betutu (Oxyeleotris marmorata). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Terpadu Fakultas Kelautan Dan Perikanan Universitas Syiah Kuala pada bulan Oktober hingga November 2016. Penelitian terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan diberikan adalah berupa A= (Ikan Rucah), B= (Cacing Laut), C= (Cacing Sutra), D= (Udang Rebon), dengan ukuran ikan 1-2 cm yang ditebar di toples berukuran 25 liter dan diberi pakan tiga kali sehari sebanyak 5% dari biomassa selama 30 hari. Berdasarkan uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan alami yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, rasio konversi pakan, efesiensi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup (P0,05), Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa nilai tertinggi pada laju pertumbuhan yakni pada perlakuan C dengan bobot mutlak (W)= 0.4 gr, panjang mutlak = 2.2 cm, SGR= 5.6%/hari, FCR= 3.4%, EP= 28.95% dan kelangsunan hidup= 100%. Sedangkan nilai paling rendah yakni pada perlakuan A dengan bobot mutlak (W)= 0.2 gr, panjang mutlak = 2.1 cm, SGR= 4.1%/hari, FCR= 4.4%, EP= 22.27% dan kelangsungan hidup= 91%Kata kunci : pakan alami, ikan betutu, pertumbuhan

Abstract

ABSTRACT     The study was conducted to examine the effect of Spirulina adding  (Spirulina sp.) in feed on the intensity of the color of Platy Mickey Mouse (Xiphophorus maculatus) fish. This research used a completely randomized design method (CRD), consisting of 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications. The study used commercial feed with 30% protein added to Spirulina flour according to the treatment, namely A (control / without addition of Spirulina flour), B (2% Spirulina flour), C (4% Spirulina flour), D (6% Spirulina flour) and E (8% Spirulina flour). The spirulina addition with different doses gave a significant effect on the increase the color of the Platy Mickey Mouse (Xiphophorus maculatus). Observation of color quality improvement was done once a week for 28 days using Toca Color Finder (TCF). The dose of 4% Spirulina flour was the highest dose to improve the color of the Platy Mickey Mouse (Xiphophorus maculatus) with value 3,26.Keywords: Spirulina sp., Xiphophorus maculatus, Platy Mickey Mouse ABSTRAK     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penambahan tepung spirulina (Spirulina sp.) Pada pakan terhadap intensitas warna ikan Platy Mickey Mouse (Xiphophorus maculatus). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. penelitian ini menggunakan pakan komersil dengan kandungan protein 30% yang ditambahkan tepung Spirulina sesuai perlakuan, yaitu A (kontrol/tanpa penambahan tepung spirulina), B (2% tepung spirulina), C (4% tepung spirulina), D (6% tepung spirulina) dan E (8% tepung spirulina). Penambahan tepung spirulina dengan dosis yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan kualitas warna benih ikan Platy Mickey Mouse (Xiphophorus maculatus). Pengamatan peningkatan kualitas warna dilakukan seminggu sekali selama 28 hari menggunakan Toca Colour Finder (TCF). Dosis tepung spirulina sebanyak 4% merupakan dosis tertinggi untuk meningkatkan kualitas warna benih ikan Platy Mickey Mouse (Xiphophorus maculatus) dengan nilai 3,26.Kata kunci: Spirulina sp., Xiphophorus maculates, Platy Mickey Mouse.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the use of honey for feed enrichment on the growth rate of Brachionus plicatilis. Research was conducted at Balai Budidaya Air Payau (BBAP), Ujung Batee in August 2016. This study was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were the different concentrations of honey in feed namely : treatment A (Nannochloropsis sp.), treatment B (Nannochloropsis sp. + 0,5 g/l of honey), treatment C (Nannochloropsis sp. + 1 g/l of honey), treatment D (Nannochloropsis sp. + 1,5 g/l of honey), and treatment E (Nannochloropsis sp. + 2 g/l of honey). The result of ANOVA showed that the addition of honey for feed enrichment gave the significant effect (p0,05)  on the growth rate of Brachionus plicatilis. The highest growth rate of Brachionus plicatilis was obtained at treatment E which is 74,35±1,96 ind.ml-1.hari-1, while the lowest growth rate of Brachionus plicatilis obtained at treatment A which 21.04 ± 1.16 ind.ml-1.hari-1.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan madu alami sebagai bahan tambahan pengkayaan pakan terhadap laju pertumbuhan populasi Brachionus plicatilis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Budidaya Air Payau (BBAP), Ujung Batee pada Bulan Agustus 2016. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima taraf perlakuan dan empat kali pengulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan meliputi perlakuan konsentrasi madu yaitu: perlakuan A (Nannochloropsis sp.), perlakuan B (Nannochloropsis sp. +  0,5 g/l), perlakuan C (Nannochloropsis sp. + 1 g/l), perlakuan D (Nannochloropsis sp. + 1,5 g/l), dan perlakuan E (Nannochloropsis sp. +2 g/l). Hasil ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan madu berpengaruh nyata (p0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan populasi Brachionus plicatilis. Nilai laju pertumbuhan Brachionus plicatilis tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan konsentrasi madu E yaitu 74,35±1,96 ind.ml-1.hari-1, sedangkan laju pertumbuhan populasi Brachionus plicatilis terendah didapatkan pada perlakuan A yaitu 21,04 1,16 ind.ml-1.hari-1.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the different manures as culture media on the growth and biomass Spirulina sp. This research was conducted from March to May 2016. This research used the one factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) as method with four treatments and five replications which is A = 100 g/l of chicken manure, B = 100 g/l of bird manure, C = 100 g/l of buffalo manure and D = 100 g/l of cow manure. The result of Analysis of Varians (ANOVA) showed that the different manures as culture media gave the effect (P0,05) on the growth and biomass of Spirulina sp. The best treatment was obtained at treatment B (chicken manure) with the average of population density was 7,47 x 106 ind/ml and the average of biomass weight was 0,0506 gKeywords : Spirulina sp.; Animal Manures; Growth; Biomass.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kultur dari jenis kotoran hewan yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan biomassa Spirulina sp. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis experiment was conducted to examine the effect of stocking density on the growth of giant gouramy seed cultured in the aquarium. Fish were stocked at the density of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 fish /L. Fish were fed ad libitum with feeding frequency 3 times a day. ANOVA test showed that the different stocking density significantly affected absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, and survival rate of Osphronemus gouramy seeds (P0.05), but did not significantly affect the specific growth rate and  diversity coefficient (P0.05). The results of this study indicated that the best stocking density was found in the density of 8 fish/L. The highest value of absolute length growth was 1,23 ±  0,03 cm, absolute weight growth was 0,22 ±  0,05 g, specific growth rate was 2,53 ±  0,61% per day, survival was 87,50 ± 2,50 % and diversity coefficient was 16,29 ±  4,11%.Keywords : stocking density, gouramy, Osphronemus gouramyABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh padat penebaran terhadap pertumbuhan benih ikan gurami yang dipelihara dalam akuarium. Jumlah ikan yang ditebar pada penelitian ini yaitu 2, 4, 6, 8 dan 10 ekor/liter. Pakan diberikan secara ad libitum dengan frekuensi 3 kali/hari. Hasil uji ANOVA  menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan padat penebaran berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan berat mutlak, dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gurami Osphronemus gouramy (P0,05), tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan koefisien keragaman panjang (P0,05). Pada penelitian ini diperoleh nilai tertinggi dari pertumbuhan panjang mutlak sebesar 1,23 ±  0,03 cm, pertumbuhan berat mutlak 0,22 ±  0,05 gr, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 2,53 ±  0,61% perhari, kelangsungan hidup 87,50 ± 2,50 % dan koefisien keragaman panjang 16,29 ±  4,11 %  pada padat penebaran 8 ekor/liter. Kata kunci: padat tebar, gurami, Osphronemus gouramy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of different life feed on growth and survival rate of catfish seed (Pangasius sp). This research was conducted at Marine Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The study was conducted from May 31 to July 29, 2017. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using 4 treatment levels with 4 repetitions. The treatment was given by treatment A (Pomacea canaliculata), B (Tubifex sp.), C (Daphnia sp.) And D (Mysis relicta). The frequency of feeding was 3 times a day ad-libitum. The ANOVA test results showed that different life feed significantly affect Absolute growth length and Absolute weight growth, but no significant effect on specific growth rate and survival rate of catfish seed (Pangasius sp.) BNJ further test showed that feeding by Tubifex sp. was the best treatment. Absolute length growth value of 5.85 cm, absolute weight growth of 1.93 g, specific growth rate of 2.39%/day and survival rate 97.50%.       Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan alami yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan patin (Pangasius sp). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 31 Mei hingga 29 Juli 2017 di Laboratorium Biologi Laut Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah pemberian keong mas (Pomacea canaliculata), cacing sutera (Tubifex sp.), kutu air (Daphnia sp.) dan udang rebon (Mysis relicta). Frekuensi pemberian pakan adalah 3 kali sehari secara adlibitum. Benih ikan patin dipelihara dalam toples yang dilengkapi dengan aerasi. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan alami yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang dan pertumbuhan berat, tapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan patin (Pangasius sp.) Uji lanjut BNJ memperlihatkan bahwa pemberian pakan cacing sutera (Tubifex sp.) merupakan perlakuan terbaik dengan menghasilkan nilai panjang mutlak sebesar  5,85 cm, pertumbuhan berat mutlak 1,93 g, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 2,39%/hari dan kelangsungan hidup 97,50%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the gonads maturity level of sea urchins (Tripneustes gratilla) found on Ahmad Rhangmanyang Beach, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency. Sampling was carried out from November to December of 2016 with a sampling interval of once a week. The location of the research sampling was done on Ahmad Rhangmanyang Beach, Desa Lamreh, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency (5°36'40.31"N and 95°32'58.36"E). The research method used was the exploration method. The sampling of T. gratilla sea urchins was using transects methods. Each transect was made with a length of 25 m and a width of 10 m. The sea urchins’ masses were weighed and the diameters were measured, after that, they were dissected and the gonads were taken. Then the gonads were also weighed and the morphologies were observed. Dosage histological study of the gonads was made by using paraffin method and hematoxylin eosin staining. The measured parameters were the diameter of the shell, the Gonads Maturity Index (GI) and the Gonads Maturity Level, as well as environmental parameters such as temperature, pH, DO, and salinity of the water. The Gonads Maturity Level was determined based on an overview of the gonads histology. The data analysis was done descriptively; the results were presented in the form of images and tables. The diameter of Tripneustes gratilla was between 4.9 – 8.6 cm (49 mm – 86 mm). The lowest and highest Tripneustes gratilla Gonads Maturity Index (GI) was at week 7, with the lowest GI value of 0.19 % and highest IKG value 6.65 % of the total, with an average Tripneustes gratillaGI value of 2,452 %. There were gonads with Gonads Maturity Level I – IV, and only 40% of Tripneustes gratilla sea urchins individuals which had reached the ripe stage and were ready to spawn. There was a diversity of gonads maturity between the Tripneustes gratilla sea urchins individuals found each month.       Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuitingkat kematangan gonad bulu babi (Tripneustes gratilla) di Pantai Ahmad Rhangmanyang, Kecamatan Mesjid Raya, Kab. Aceh Besar. Pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan dua bulan dari bulan November sampai bulan Desember 2016 dengan interval pengambilan sampel satu minggu sekali.Adapun lokasi pengambilan sampel penelitian tersebut di Pantai Ahmad Rhangmanyang, Desa Lamreh, Kecamatan Mesjid Raya, Aceh Besar (5°36'40.31"LU dan 95°32'58.36"BT).Metode penelitian yangdigunakan adalah metode eksplorasi.Pengambilan sampel bulu babi T. gratilla menggunakan metode transek.Setiap transek dibuat dengan ukuran panjang 25 m dan lebar 10 m. Bulu babi ditimbang bobot tubuh dan diukur diameternya, lalu dibedah dan diambil gonadnya.Gonad ditimbang dan diamati morfologinya.Sediaan histologis gonad dibuat dengan menggunakan metode parafin dan pewarnaan hematoksilin eosin. Parameter yang diukur adalah diameter cangkang tubuh, Indeks Kematangan Gonad (IKG), dan Tingkat Kematangan Gonad (TKG) serta parameter lingkungan seperti suhu, pH, DO dan salinitas air.TKG ditetapkan berdasarkan gambaran histologi gonad.Analisi data dilaksanakan secara deskriptif.Data hasil penelitian disajikan dalam bentuk gambar dan tabel.Diameter T. gratilla antara 4,9 – 8,6 cm (49 – 86 mm). IKG T. gratilla terendah dan tertinggi terdapat pada minggu  ke 7 yaitu dengan nilai IKG terendah sebesar 0,19 % dan IKG tertinggi sebesar 6,65 % dengan nilai rata - rata IKG sebesar 2,452 %. Ditemukan gonad dengan TKG I – IV  dan hanya 40% individu bulu babi T. gratilla yang telah mencapai matang goand dan siap memijah. terdapat keragaman kematangan gonad antar individu bulu babi T. gratillayang ditemukan pada setiap bulan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the type, prevalence, and intensity of endoparasites infecting the organs of blood cockles (Anadara granosa) in the waters of Aceh Besar, Indonesia. A purposive sampling method was conducted from March to August 2020 consisting of two sampling sites, namely the waters of Ujung Pancu and Krueng Raya. Endoparasite identification and analysis was carried out at the Parasite Laboratory of the Fish Quarantine Center, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products in Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar. The results showed that there were two types of endoparasites living in the blood cockles: namely, Perkinsus sp., which belong to the group Protozoa, and Spiroxys sp. of the Nematode class. The prevalence levels of Perkinsus sp. was 73.33% and were found in the waters of Ujung Pancu; while the lowest prevalence level was 20% in blood cockles that were infected with Spiroxys sp., which were found both in Ujung Pancu and Krueng Raya. Abstract

Environmental problems due to aquaculture occur along with the increase in aquaculture production. IMTA is one system used as a solution in dealing with environmental problems. The objective of this study was to analyze the growth performance, survival rate, and production of the main commodity (tilapia) and the supporting commodities (Peres, Lemeduk, and Depik) which are applied through the application of integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) using floating net cages. This research was conducted at the Lukup Badak Fish Seed Center, Central Aceh from July to August 2020. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely: A (tilapia), B (tilapia and peres), C (tilapia and lemeduk), and D (tilapia and depik). ANOVA test results showed that the IMTA system had a significant effect on absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate (SGR), survival rate, and biomass production of tilapia (P0.05). The results showed that maintenance for 42 days produced the highest value in treatment B with the increase in absolute length growth (4.26cm±0.24); absolute weight growth (5.47g±0.45), specific daily growth rate (2.28%/day±0.13) and the highest tilapia biomass production (480g/0.5m2±19.25). The highest survival rate was found in treatment C (82.42%±2.28). Abstract

Tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) is freshwater fish found in Borneo, Java, and Sumatera including in Aceh Province waters. It is known as a native species in Indonesia, locally known as Tengadak or Lampan and this species is popular for consumption due to its taste.  Tinfoil barb is targeted species of inland water for fisheries production. In recent years, the fish population has declined because of overexploitation and habitat degradation. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the effects of temperature on Tinfoil barb (B. schwanenfeldii) eggs incubation using a funnel system. It was conducted at Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Lukup Badak, Central Aceh Regency. The Completely Randomized Design was used as a statistical analysis method with four treatments and three replications at 22±1 oC, 25±1 oC, 28±1 oC, and 31±1 oC. Hatching was carried out using a funnel system with 100 grain/liter of eggs density for incubation. The parameters measured were hatching time and rate, egg yolk absorption time, the survival rate of the embryo, larvae abnormality, and water quality. The ANOVA test results showed that temperature significantly affected hatching time and rate, egg yolk absorption time, and larvae abnormality (P0.05). In contrast, the effect was insignificant on the survival rate of an embryo, with P0.05. It is concluded that the optimum temperatures for Tinfoil barb eggs incubation were about 25±1 oC–31±1 oC.
