Abstract

The productivity of lecturers at pesantren-based Islamic Higher Education Institutions remains relatively low due to organizational culture, kyai leadership, suboptimal interpersonal communication, and varying levels of achievement motivation across individuals and work units. This condition requires a comprehensive examination of internal and external factors that shape academic performance. The study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture, servant leadership, and interpersonal communication on lecturer productivity through achievement motivation as an intervening variable. A quantitative survey approach was employed involving 105 lecturers selected through proportional random sampling, with data analyzed using path analysis and the Sobel test to examine both direct and indirect effects. The findings indicate that servant leadership has a significant direct effect on lecturer productivity (beta = 0.135), while achievement motivation also shows a significant effect (beta = 0.237). In addition, organizational culture, servant leadership, and interpersonal communication significantly influence productivity indirectly through achievement motivation. SITOREM analysis identifies areas requiring improvement, including scientific publications, community service, and time management, while teaching performance and technology utilization must be maintained and strengthened. These results highlight the importance of integrating organizational, leadership, communication, and motivational factors sustainably. Overall, lecturer productivity is shaped by both direct and indirect effects mediated by achievement motivation. The study provides a strategic foundation for pesantren-based Islamic Higher Education Institutions managers to enhance lecturer productivity through strengthening organizational culture, leadership practices, communication quality, and achievement motivation development.

Abstract

Professional commitment is an essential aspect that teachers need to continuously develop in order to perform their roles effectively and maintain educational quality. However, several factors may influence the level of teachers’ professional commitment, particularly empowerment and trust. This study aimed to determine whether empowerment and trust have significant effects on teachers’ professional commitment. The research was conducted among public junior high school teachers in Bogor City. A total of 184 teachers were selected as respondents through a multistage random sampling technique, while the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula. Data regarding professional commitment, empowerment, and trust were collected using measurement scales that had previously passed validity and reliability testing. The research hypotheses were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings revealed that both empowerment and trust significantly influence teachers’ professional commitment. Therefore, strengthening these factors may enhance commitment. Further studies are recommended to explore specific indicators of empowerment and trust related to teachers’ professional commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between principal managerial performance and organizational culture, personality, job satisfaction, and decision making simultaneously in the context of Indonesian schools. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving school principals and teachers as respondents, selected through probability sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using linearity tests and multiple regression to examine relationships among the variables. The results indicate that all variables have significant linear relationships. Organizational culture and personality positively influence job satisfaction and decision-making effectiveness, which in turn affect principal managerial performance. These findings underscore the importance of developing a supportive organizational culture and strengthening personal characteristics to enhance school leadership effectiveness. The study provides theoretical contributions to educational management literature and practical implications for improving school management quality.

In the general provisions of Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning teachers and lecturers, it is stated that teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, assessing and evaluating students at various levels and types of formal education. This research aims to find strategies and ways to increase commitment to the profession. This study uses a quantitative approach, namely research that emphasizes its analysis on numerical data (numbers) processed by statistical methods. The first hypothesis states that Self-Efficacy has a direct positive and significant effect on Commitment to the Profession. Based on the results of research and data processing, it can be concluded that commitment to the profession can be increased through Strengthening Organizational Culture, Self-Efficacy, Job Satisfaction, and Work Motivation.

Abstract

The low ecoliteracy of students impacts students' low awareness of the environment. This study aims to analyze the ecoliteracy profile of junior high school students. This research is a descriptive study conducted on the seventh-grade students of junior high school with a total of 80 students consisting of 33 male students and 47 female students with purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was an ecoliteracy test in the form of multiple choice and 20 essay questions. The data collected was analyzed descriptively quantitatively by calculating the percentage of students' acquisition of ecoliteracy and then categorized. The results showed that the average ecoliteracy of students was 50%. The average addition of ecoliteracy on each indicator knows environmental problems (75%), having an action strategy on environmental problems (50%), following up on environmental problems that occur (45%), and having quality in responding to environmental problems and personal attitudes good at 30%. This proves that the level of student ecoliteracy is still relatively low, and efforts need to be made to increase ecoliteracy in students.
