Abstract

ABSTRACT A certain condition, the abundance of anthropods needed to be information for the application of integrated pest management. The abuudance anthropods obbserveddd using a yellow trap and hole trap. The research was conducted from April until Agustus 2019 for six times with an interval of two weeks. The result show that the abundance of anthropods found is 140 individuals such us of 2 classes,wich are insect class (128 individuals) and Arachnids class (12 individuals). Ordo identification in the insect class found to 6 orders which are Lepidoptera, Orthoptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Homoptera, and Diptera. The high total individuals found were of Lepidoptera orders,in 47 individuals and perform as pests, while order individuals were predators, pollinators, and decomposers. The level of diversity value of 1.42 and an abundance of 100% while the diversity value of the Arachnida class is 0 with an abundance value of 1%. Keywords : Abundance,insect,Arahchninds

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of liquid and solid organic fertilizer on the growth and production of peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.). This research was carried out for four months, from January to June 2021, at the screen house of Musamus University, Merauke. The method used in this study was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatment factors, the first factor being liquid organic fertilizer and the second factor being solid organic fertilizer. The results showed that applying liquid organic fertilizer and solid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on all experimental parameters. However, using solid organic fertilizer with a dose of 200 g gave an average yield that tended to be better for the plant height parameter, which was 24,64 cm, and the number of branches reached 5,33 branches. The application of 300 ml of liquid organic fertilizer gave an average yield that tends to be better on the parameters of the number of pods, namely 24,33 pods dry pod weight 25,00 g, the number of pods contained 23,33 pods. In contrast, the two factors gave an average value in the combination treatment. The average tended to be suitable for the parameters of wet pod weight 34,67 g, and the number of empty pods 4,33 pods. In the highest treatment, the importance of dry pods when converted to hectares resulted in 6,25 tons/ha production. Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution pattern and intensity of the attack of the corn cob and stem borer in Merauke Regency, Papua Province. This study uses purposive sampling method to determine the sampling by determining the specific characteristics that are in accordance with the research objectives, so that it is expected to determine the spread of insect pests. This research was conducted in 4 (four) villages in Semangga District and Tanah Miring District which have a lot of corn plants. One village was taken from each sub-district as the sampling location. Then each village is determined one location with an area of ± 0.5 ha. Sampling at each location used the diagonal slice method, so that in each location there were five sub-locations. Each sub-location 20 clumps were taken, and observations were made every 10 days on 42-day-old plants until harvest. Based on the results of the study, the highest percentage of attacks by Ostrinia furnacalis was in Semangga District in Semangga Village (6.71%), and the lowest was in Waninggap Say Village (3.13%). Meanwhile, the highest percentage of Helicoperva armigera attacks was in Isanombias Village (7.12%), and the lowest was in Muram Sari Village (3.12%). The low pest population is caused by farmers already using insecticides in pest control. The distribution pattern of Ostrinia furnacalis and Helicoperva armigera in Merauke Regency was random, where individuals spread out in several places and grouped together in other places, this was due to the homogenous environment of maize cultivation.

Abstract

Pakan ikan menjadi bagian terpenting pada keberhasilan suatu budidaya ikan. Pada umumnya kualitas pakan diperhatikan untuk memacu peningkatan pertumbuhan. Namun, sudah saatnya ada inovasi pakan ikan yang juga dapat meningkatkan ketahanan ikan terhadap paparan pencemaran. Bakteri probiotik didefinisikan sebagai mikroorganisme menguntungkan yang meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan bagi inangnya. Penggunan bakteri probiotik untuk ikan pada pakan  sangat bepengaruh  terhadap meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan fungsi kekebalan tubuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Manajemen Sumberdaya Perairan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Musamus dan Laboratorium Stasiun Karantina Ikan Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas II Merauke.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan rancangan acak lengkap dengan perlakuan dosis yang diujikan:  1. Pakan tanpa penambahan probiotik (Kontrol / K)  2. Pakan + Probiotik X. 10 ml/Kg pakan 3. Pakan + Probiotik X. 10 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v probiotik  4. Pakan + Probiotik X. 20 ml/Kg pakan  5. Pakan + Probiotik X. 20 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v probiotik  Setelah 30 hari pemeliharaan, perlakuan uji selanjutnya dianalisis untuk menentukan perlakuan terbaik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Probiotik yang ditemukan pada usus ikan nila adalah Lactobacillus sp. Pakan + Probiotik X. 20 ml/Kg pakan + molase 10 v/v probiotik adalah kombinasi terbaik. Penambahan probiotik pada pellet komersil dapat digunakan sebagai imunostimulan, hal ini terbukti dengan terjadinya penambahan berat dan panjang ikan. Potensi jeroan ikan mujair sebagai imunostimulan perlu terus dikaji  untuk diterapkan kepada pembudidaya ikan untuk menekan penggunaan antibiotik/obat-obatan dalam usaha penanggulangan penyakit, dan dengan demikian dapat meningkatkan produksi. Kata kunci: Ikan Nila, Lactobacillus sp, Probiotik.

Abstract

Mengembangkan pertanian organik perlu memperhatikan beberapa aspek antara lain kesehatan dan kesuburan tanah, keseimbangan organisme di alam serta dapat memperbaiki kualitas tanaman namun tetap mempertahankan nilai produksi suatu komoditi tanpa menggunakan bahan kimia sintetis. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan kelompok tani di Kampung Yasa Mulya, Distrik Tanah Miring, Merauke tentang pentingnya mengenal hama, musuh alami tanaman padi serta dapat menggunakan bahan tanaman sebagai bahan insektisida nabati. Metode observasi dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang teknik budidaya padi yang diterapkan dan masalah yang dihadapi petani. Selanjutnya dilakukan sosialisasi kepada kelompok tani tentang hama, penyakit, musuh alami serta pelatihan pembuatan insektisida nabati. Tahap evalusi dilakukan melalui hasil uji coba yang telah dilakukan oleh petani. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan sosialisasi diketahui bahwa perilaku petani dalam mengaplikasikan pestisida didasarkan pada pemahaman sendiri, pengalaman teman atau saudara serta kekhawatiran akan gagal panen. Persentase biaya yang dikeluarkan petani untuk membeli pestisida sampai dengan 80%. Selain itu, belum pernah dilakukan tindakan pengendalian lain seperti memanfaatkan bahan-bahan alami atau menggunakan entomopatogen.selain menggunakan pestisida sintetik.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran pada anak bisa dilakukan dimana saja dan kapan saja. Pendidikan bagi anak tidak hanya bersifat formal tetapi juga bersifat non formal. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah menjadikan kampung Wasur sebagai pusat outdoor education bagi anak. Outdoor education ini didasari oleh alam Merauke yang sangat indah tetapi minim dalam pemanfaatan untuk kegiatan edukasi. Outdorr education ini memberikan kesempatan untuk mengeksplorasi, menyentuh, dan belajar tentang berbagai hal melalui pengalaman yang berbeda selain di ruang kelas. Metode yang digunakan dimulai dengan pembentukan tim di lapangan, perumusan tujuan, identifikasi, pengumpulan dan analisis kebutuhan, prioritas solusi masalah, persiapan, implementasi, pendampingan samapi dengan menentukan kebutuhan dan sasaran baru. education. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah dengan adanya fasilitas outdor education ini anak dapat mengeksplorasikan dirinya dalam belajar secara baik dalam mengembangkan motorik kasar anak di sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attack rate and population density of the paddy bug (Leptocorisa sp). The method used in this research is purposive sampling. The results showed that the intensity of damage caused by paddy bugs in Tanah Miring District was 13.78%. The highest average population density was in Waninggap Miraf 46.6 individuals, Yasamulya and Isanombias villages 44.33, Yabamaru 38.6, Bersehati 38.3 and the lowest Ammunay 30. While the average population in each observation was the second observation or 55 DAP as many as 46.4 tails followed by observations 1 or 45 DAP as many as 37.4 and the last observation or 65 DAP at 29.8 individuals. The type of variety that was most favored by the paddy bug was impari 19.75% and the one that pandanus did not like. Keywords: Attack rate, population density, paddy bug, paddy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the population density and intensity of attack of Brown Planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stall) and green leafhoppers (Nephotettix virescens) on rice plants of Inpara 2 variety in Bokem Village. The research was conducted from August to October 2022 in the rice fields of Bokem Village, Merauke District. Sampling was carried out on three rice fields with an area of 20 x 40 m divided by five observation sub-plots spread diagonally with a size of 2 x 2 meters. Plant height of Inpara 2 variety at the age of 14 DAP (23.1 cm), 28 DAP (33.2 cm), 42 DAP (53.8 cm), 56 DAP (64 cm) and 70 DAP (70.2 cm) . The number of tillers at the age of 14 days old (3.2 tillers), 28 days old (5.5 tillers), 42 days old (11 tillers) and 56 days old (12.1 tillers). The panicle length of the Inpara 2 rice variety was on average (21.1 cm) while the weight of 1000 grains was 14.7 grams. Brown planthopper population at the age of 14 days after planting (0.19 individuals), 28 days after birth (0.07 individuals), 42 days after birth (0.19 individuals) and 56 days after planting (0.31 individuals) while the green leafhopper population at 14 days old (0.30 individuals) 32 individuals), 28 days old (0.33 individuals), 42 days old (0.25 individuals) and 56 days old (0.01 individuals). Keywords: Pest, Inpara 2, Population,  Brown planthopper, green leafhoppers

Abstract

Kampung Wasur terletak di dalam wilayah Taman Nasional Wasur yang merupakan salah satu dari 50 taman nasional di Indonesia. Penduduk asli di wilayah Kampung Wasur merupakan komponen penting dalam upaya pelestarian taman nasional tersebut karena merekalah yang sehari-hari hidup dan memanfaatkan sumber daya di dalam kawasan tersebut. Ironinya, sebagian besar masyarakat asli di Kampung Wasur masih memiliki tingkat kesejahteraan yang rendah. Rendahnya tingkat kesejahteraan mereka, merupakan dampak dari mata pencaharian penduduk asli yang masih berkutat pada upaya berburu dan meramu. Rendahnya tingkat pendidikan dan keterampilan masyarakat asli Papua membuat mereka kesulitan untuk mencari pekerjaan lain dengan upah yang layak Masyarakat ini adalah bagaimana meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat asli Papua di Kampung Wasur untuk melakukan pertanian organik dan bagaimana mengoptimalkan sumber daya alam di Kampung Wasur yang sangat terbatas tanpa menggangu keseimbangan ekosistem di wilayah tersebut. Untuk mengatasi kedua masalah tersebut, solusi yang kami tawarkan adalah dengan melakukan pelatihan budidaya tanaman organik dengan sistem irigasi tetes untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan ketahanan pangan masyarakat di Kampung Wasur. Luaran yang telah dihasilkan adalah tersedianya demplot mini pertanian organik di Kampung Wasur, meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai budidaya tanaman secara organik, publikasi pada media massa Kompas TV Merauke (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HjMUijmSxg), serta Lensa Merauke. com (https://lensamerauke.com/2022/11/12/tim-dosen-unmus-latih-warga-kampung-wasur-kembangkan-pertanian-organik/), sementara draft artikel pengabdian akan disubmit pada akhir Desember 2022.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of metabolite compounds in meliaceae plants to the preference of Hypsipyla sp. This research was conducted at the Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sam Ratulangi State University, Manado BALITKA Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Gorontalo and sending samples to the Pharmacy Laboratory of Sendai Japan to see the NMR structure. This study was designed in a Latin square design with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The total number of plants in all treatments was 250 plants. The determination of secondary metabolites was carried out in five stages, namely: 1) sample collection and processing, 2) extraction, 3) purification, 4) phytochemical test, 5) identification of compounds using UV-Vis and IR spectrophotometers. The sample materials used were dry samples of langsat, duku, mindi, and mahogany leaves consisting of large mahogany and small mahogany. The results of phytochemical screening on samples of lansium, duku, chinaberry, large mahogany and small mahogany in the n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water fractions showed positive results for flavonoids and steroids, while for alkaloids, terpenoids and saponins showed negative results. The results of the analysis showed that small mahogany plants contained high starch content of 43.72 g/mL, high fat content of small mahogany plants of 24.15% and high protein content of Langsat plants of 9.01 g/mL. The level of preference Hypsipyla sp prefers small mahogany plants compared to other plants. The number of mahogany stomata compared to other plants regulates the rate of evaporation in which will also release secondary metabolic compounds as attractants to attract insects to plants. The main flavonoid groups in mahogany are Quercetin 3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside, Quercetin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, and quercetin 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside.  Key words: phytochemicals; plant metabolites; quercetin; mahogany; Hypsipyla sp.
