Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam melihat variabel apa saja yang dapat berpengaruh kepada pendapatan pengusaha telur. Penelitian dilakukan di Distrik Merauke. Responden dalam penelitian ini diambil 13 .responden yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Analisis digunakan regresi, uji asumsi klasik dan revenue cost ratio (R/C). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh pendapatan yaitu biaya pakan (X2) dan biaya tenaga kerja (X4). Sementara itu untuk faktor biaya bibit (X1) dan biaya obat-obatan (X3) tidak mempengaruhi pendapatan peternak telur ayam ras.

Abstract

The study aims to identify internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external (opportunities and threats) as well as formulate strategies necessary for the improvement of the household industry processing of cassava. The methods used are techniques of SWOT analysis and qualitative descriptive. The chosen strategy determination is done using QSPM matrix. The research was conducted in Kampung Wenda Asri Jagebob District in August – September 2019. The results showed that the IFAS factor (Internal Factor Summary) in the processing of cassava, namely the availability of raw materials, manpower has expertise, has a good price, lack of marketing network, season affects production, lack of Management system. Factor EFAS (external Factor Summary) in the production industry of cassava, namely the support of the village and community government is very good, high market opportunities, cassava processing certification, has a business license from the government. SWOT Analysis formulates 8 alternative of i.e. 1; Raw materials and manpower available supported by business license can increase production 2; Improve the marketing network by adding 3 business partners; Conducting internal business management ongoing training 4; Improving quality of cassava's ignition to expand market opportunities 5; The Government participates in Sweet potato processing industry by providing informal education assistance to the processing of cassava 6; Have the capital assistance to advance the results of processed cassava with good processed products 7; Governments provide government-controlled saprodi assistance in order to maximize the potency of the cassava processing industry 8; Enhance the production of cassava processing technology. Furthermore, the matrix of QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrixs), there are 2 (two) alternatives that have the highest scoring value as the first strategy done in advance 1; The available raw materials and manpower are supported by a business license can increase production, the total score 4.78 and the most up-to-date strategy 2; The Government provides assistance in the control of the government in order to maximize the potency of cassava processing, total alternative score 1.16.

Abstract

Wereng coklat merupakan salah satu hama utama tanaman padi karena dapat menimbulkan kerusakan yang parah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepadatan populasi dan tingkat intensitas serangan hama wereng coklat di Distrik  Tanah Miring Kabupaten Merauke. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sampel serangga diambil dengan menggunakan aspirator pada lima ubin yang berukuran 2x2 meter, kemudian diamati seluruh populasi tumbuhan pada setiap ubin. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 3 varietas padi yang dominan di 5 kampung. Data dianalisis berdasarkan rumus kepadatan populasi dan intensitas serangan hama wereng coklat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepadatan populasi hama wereng coklat tertinggi terdapat pada varietas RL sebanyak 145 individu di Kampung Sumber Harapan, dan terendah pada varietas MR 308 sebanyak 91 individu di Kampung Yasa Mulya. Selanjutnya intensitas serangan hama wereng coklat tertinggi terdapat pada varietas RL di Kampung Sumber Harapan dengan persentase sebesar 8,91%, dan intensitas terendah pada varietas Inpari 70 di Kampung Isanombias sebesar 2,25% yang termasuk kategori “ringan”. pada tingkat kerusakan yang di alami.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the primary commodity for the Indonesian people because most of the Indonesian population depends on rice. The armyworm pests Spodoptera litura causes irregular holes in the leaves, thus disrupting the photosynthesis process and reducing rice production, so it is necessary to treat the pest. Bacillus thuringiensis is a pathogenic bacterium for insects, such as S. litura. This study aimed to look at the effectiveness of B. thuringiensis on the mortality of S. litura on a laboratory and field scale. The research was conducted in the Agrotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Musamus University. The research design was a complete randomized design (RAL). The research study was conducted on five treatment doses of B. thuringiensis, which were 20 g/500 ml of water; 40g/500 ml of water; 60 g/500 ml of water; 80 g/500 ml of water; 100 g/500 ml of water. Each treatment was repeated five times. The results showed that, applying B. thuringiensis can significantly decrease the population and intensity of S. litura. The highest mortality rate in laboratory trials was observed at a dose of 100 grams/500 ml of water, with 50 dead individuals. In contrast, the lowest mortality rate was recorded at a dose of 20 gram of material/500ml of water, with only 12 death S. litura larvae. In field testing, the best dose was 50 gram/14 liters of water, and it caused the death of 50 S. litura larvae. Spraying B. thuringiensis on rice plants can reduce the population and intensity of S. litura.

Abstract

One effort that can be made to improve soil fertility is by providing rich and petroganic powders. This research aims to determine the growth response of pakcoy plants to a combination of wood dust and petrorganic fertilizer treatments. This research was carried out from April to July 2023 in Sumber Rejeki Village, Merauke. This research used a randomized block design. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, and wet weight. The results of the research showed that the combination of sawdust and petroganic treatments had a different effect on each variable of pakcoy plant growth. The highest treatment on the plant height variable was obtained in the treatment without rich powder + 1 t.ha-1 petroganic fertilizer, the number of leaves in the sawdust treatment was 20 t.ha-1 + 3 t.ha-1 petroganic fertilizer, the leaf length was found in the treatment without wood dust + petroganic fertilizer 1 t.ha-1, leaf width was found in the treatment without sawdust + petroganic fertilizer 1 t.ha-1 and wet weight was found in the wood powder treatment 10 t.ha-1 + petroganic fertilizer 3 t.ha-1.

Abstract

The rice stem borer (Scirpophaga sp.) is a significant pest of rice plants, causing substantial yield losses. This study aimed to assess the growth response of seven rice varieties to stem borer (Scirpophaga sp.) infestation. The research was conducted in Kampung Telaga Sari, Kurik District, Merauke Regency, from October 2022 to January 2023. The experiment followed a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with seven varieties and three replications per trial. The varieties tested were Inpari 32, Inpari 42, Cakrabuana, Siam-siam, CL 220, Sertani, and Mekongga. Each treatment was replicated three times, resulting in 21 experimental plots, each measuring 3 x 3 m² with a planting distance of 20 x 20 cm, comprising 50 plants per plot. The research findings indicated significant differences in stem borer damage intensity at the 0.01 level of significance. The highest average attack intensity was observed in the Inpari 32 variety (5.44%), while the lowest average attack intensity was found in the Cakrabuana variety (2%).

Abstract

Mangrove forest is a permanent habitat and transit area for various fauna. In the mangrove community, it forms a mixed habitat between terrestrial and aquatic fauna groups. This study aims to analyze the composition of mangrove species and the abundance of insects. There are 3 research station on the mangrove forest ecosystem on Payum beach. Sampling was carried out using the Line Transect method, starting with making a line transect (50 meters) on the outermost mangrove stands and pulling them inland. On each transect line a plot measuring 10 x 10 m is placed, in each of which 5 subplots/quadrants measuring 1 x 1 m are placed. Each transect line consist of 3 plots and 15 sub-plots will be obtained, so there are a total of 45 sub-plots. Based on the research results, it was found that several types of macrobenthos live abundantly and are associated with mangrove ecosystems, such as Terebralia palustris, Terebralia semistriata, Nerita sp., Cassidula angulifera, Cerithidea sp., Telescopium telescopium. Four species of mangroves are found on Payum Beach, Merauke Regency, South Papua Province, namely Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculate, Sonneratia alba, and Aegialitis annulata. The insect diversity index in the mangrove forest on Payum Beach in Merauke is H'=2.61, which indicates that the environmental conditions of Payum Beach are still quite good and insect diversity is in the medium category. The evenness index of 0.42 is included in the medium category because human activities vary, and the dominance index is 0.63 because the Payum Beach mangrove forest has various types of insects with moderate dominance.

Abstract

Salah satu Komoditas tanaman pangan unggulan di Indonesia yakni padi, keutuhannya terus meningkat. Peningkatan produksi gabah dapat dilakukan dengan cara perbaikan lahan, dan teknik budidaya salah satunya melalui sistem tanam SRI (System of Rice Intensification). Selain itu dapat pula mengombinasikan pupuk petroganik dan pupuk anorganik (Urea dan NPK Phonska) agar konsep keberlanjutan tetap terjaga tentunya dari segi lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh System of Rice Intensification (SRI) dengan pemberian pupuk semi organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman padi serta memperoleh kombinasi dosis pupuk semi organik yang terbaik bagi tanaman padi. ??Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan lima perlakuan dan empat kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 20 satuan percobaan. Perlakuan dosis pupuk yang digunakan adalah P1 = 320 gr + 320 gr (Urea + NPK phonska), P2 = 240 gr + 240 gr + 800 gr (Urea + NPK phonska + Petroganik), P3 = 160 gr + 160 gr + 1.600 gr (Urea + NPK phonska + Petroganik), P4 = 80 gr + 80 gr + 2.400 gr (Urea + NPK phonska + Petroganik), P5 = 3.200 gr (Petroganik). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan budidaya padi metode SRI (System of Rice Intensification) dengan aplikasi pupuk Petroganik, Urea, dan NPK Phonska tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap anakan produktif (20,74), bobot gabah kering giling (1,80 Kg), dan bobot 1000 gabah (25,25 gr). Sebaliknya memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap panjang akar (29,25 Cm), jumlah anakan (24,59), dan bobot gabah kering panen (2,30 Kg). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perlakuan P3 (Urea 50%, NPK Phonska 50%, Petroganik 50%) menunjukkan rata-rata pertumbuhan dan produksi tertinggi untuk setiap parameter pengamatan.

Abstract

Kesuburan tanah yang rendah merupakan salah satu faktor pembatas dalam budidaya tanaman khususnya tanaman sawi di lahan marginal. Penelitian ini bertujuan utuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sawi di lahan bermikoriza insitu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Lapangan Universitas Halu Oleo yang berlangssung pada bulan November sampai Desember 2021. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acakkelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu kontrol/tanpa pupuk organik (P0), pupuk organik dosis 5 ton ha-1 (P1), pupuk organik dosis 10 ton ha-1 (P2),  pupuk organik dosis 15  ton ha-1 (P3)  dan  pupuk organik dosis 20 tonha-1 (P4) yang di ulang sebanyak 3 kali.  Variabel yang diamati yakni tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), luas daun, panjang daun, lebar daun dan berat basah serta jumlah spora. Data pengamatan dianalisis ragam, dan data menunjukkan pengaruh nyata dilanjutkan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (UJBD) pada taraf kepercayaan 95 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sawi berupa tinggi tanaman,  jumlah daun,  panjang daun,  lebar daun,  luas daun dan bobot basah. Perlakuan pupuk organik pada dosis 5, 10, 15, 20 ton ha-1  menunjukkan perbedaan yang  tidak nyata pada semua variabel pertumbuhan tanaman sawi, tetapi berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan kontrol. Selain itu, pupuk organik dapat meningkatkan jumlah spora mikoriza pada rizosfer tanaman sawi dengan jumlah spora terbanyak diperoleh pada perlakuan 10 ton ha-1 sebanyak 736,00 spora/ 100 g tanah yang diikuti perlakuan 15 ton ha-1, 5 ton ha-1, 20 ton ha-1 dan kontrol.

Abstract

Fungi mikoriza arbuskula merupakan fungi yang berasosiasi dengan perakaran dan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman terutama di tanah marginal. Fungi mikoriza arbuskula dapat berasosiasi hampir di semua jenis tanaman dan memiliki pengaruh yang berbeda pada setiap jenis tanaman dan lahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi fungi mikoriza arbuskula yang berasosiasi dengan gulma dominan dan uji infeksi pada tanaman jagung di Kabupaten Merauke.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitafif dan kualitatif. Fungi mikoriza arbuskula yang dtemukan akan diintentifikasi menggunakan buku identifikasi dan jumlah sporanya dihitung untuk membandingkan antar rizosfer gulma yang berbeda. Sementara infeksinya dihitung berdasarkan jumlah infeksi pada perakaran tanaman jagung pada masing-masing tempat.  Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif dan ditabulasi sederhana untuk jumlah mikoriza arbuskula yang berasosiasi pada perakaran gulma pada tempat yang berbeda.  Spora mikoriza pada setiap lokasi memiliki jumlah yang berbeda. Spora tertinggi ditemukan pada rizosfer alang-alang di Distrik Kurik sebanyak 560,44 spora dan terendah ditemukan pada rizosfer Digitaria sp.  di Distrik Tanah Miring.
