Abstract

Abstract: Haiku is a Japanese short poem that cannot be separated from its constituent elements, one of which is kigo. Kigo is a key word in haiku which has the meaning of words to symbolize seasons, nature, and time markers. The purpose of this study was to describe the types of kigo found in haiku Matsuo Basho's. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. From the analysis of the data 13 haiku, there are 4 types of classification Kigo is tenmon, seikatsu, doubutsu, and shokubutsu and based on Peirce semiotic analysis found 8 data contains the index and the data it contains symbols 5.Key Words: Haiku, Kigo, Semiotic,Peirce

Abstract

Abstract: Based on its origin, Japanese vocabulary (goi) is divided into wago, kango and gairaigo. gairaigo are words taken from foreign languages that have been included in the Japanese language system. gairaigo broadly consists of 5 types; representational, replacement, truncated, altered, and pseudo terms. Gairaigo are loan words from foreign languages that have undergone adjustments, one of which is adjustments in writing. Gairaigo is not written using romanji as in the original language but is written using katakana characters. The research approach in this study uses a quantitative descriptive research approach. This research will be carried out at the University of Riau, the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University, class 2018. The sample of this research was 24 students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Riau University, class 2018. The data collection method in this study used tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is to analyze data from test scores.Key Words: Gairaigo, Ability, Understanding

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the types, forms and meanings of giseigoand giongo in the comic Online One Punch Man Vol 1-3 Karya One according to thephonological point of view using the theory of onomatope forms (Akimoto, 2002)phonological theory (Tsujimura, 1996) and the theory of vowel and consonant meaning(Hamano, 1986). This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The source of thisresearch data is Online Comics One punch man. The results of this study show that stopvoiceless sounds coming from the velar are characterized by the consonant /k/ whilestop voiced sound coming from the velar and heavy sounds are characterized with theconsonant /g/, retained sounds are characterized by small tsu, nasal voiced sounds arecharacterized by the consonant /n/, vibrating sounds from the palatal are marked withthe consonant /r/ and continuous sounds are characterized by repetition.Key Words: Onomatope, giseigo, giongo, phonology.

Abstract

Abstrack: The progress of technology make it easier to learn Japanese, especially in the presence of applications such as electronic dictionaries. This study aims to explain students perception of the Jsho application as a kanji learning media. The method used in this research is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires to 30 students of the 2019, 2020, 2022 class of Japanese Language Education FKIP Riau University. The results of the questionnaire research on the Jsho application from display indicators, usage indicators, and satisfaction indicators with an average percentage of 77.75% including the criteria for strongly agree.Key Words: Jsho Application, Kanji, Perception.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research to describe the educative interaction and dominant learning strategy applied by lecturers to increase the activity Japanese Educations Language students of Riau University. The subjects chosen in this study are communicative courses, Kaiwa and Choukai 6 and Bijinesu Nihongo. The study used qualitative approach with describe method. The object of the study was the lecturer who teaches the subject. The technique of collecting data used ware observations technique and interview technique. The results of the research explain that the tendency of categories that appear in Kaiwa and Choukai 6 and Bijinesu Nihongo learning have similarities. Based on seven categories of Brown (BIAS), tendency of categories appear is pupil responses category. Most of the students prefer in speaking activity both in giving comment and asking, this is in line with the applied learning strategy by the lecturers is interactive learning strategy. Based on the dominant learning strategy applied, it has positive influence on student activity while studying and use Japanese language.Key Words: Learning Strategies, Educative Interaction, Language Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how the choukai understanding of the 2020 students of the Japanese Language Education study program at the University of Riau on the sakura tips podcast. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The population is the class of 2020 students, totaling 27 people. The instrument of this research is in the form of a test. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the choukai understanding of the class of 2020 students towards the sakura tips podcast obtained an average score of 66% in the good category.Key Words: Understanding, Choukai, Podcast

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of Japanese vocabulary mastery of class XI students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The population is class XI SMAN 9 Pekanbaru with a sample of 30 students. The instrument of this research is a test. The data analysis technique used SPSS Version 25. The results showed that the level of mastery of Japanese vocabulary at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru students got an average score of 66.00 with less category.Key Words: Mastery, Vocabulary, Japanese

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out what procedures that carried out in developing UNO card media and it already standardized by experts or validators so it’s suitable for media learning. This study uses a research and development model of R&D using the Sugiyono model. The subjects of this study were 20 students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program level II. The collected data were analyzed using questionnaires. The results of the research are based on five stages: a) Potential Problems b) Data Collecting, c) Product Design, d) Product Validation, e) Product Trial. The eligibility level of UNO card media is based on an assessment by 2 validators which consist material experts and media experts. UNO card media is eligible based on validation result by material experts with an average score of 82,14% in the appropriate category, and then media experts with an average score of 97,91% in the very appropriate category. The product should be revised according to suggestions and input from the experts. UNO card media was tested on students of the Japanese Language Education Study with 81,71% in the very appropriate category for kanji learning.Key Words: Karuta, Kanji, Japanese language education.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is about the student learning motivation of class 2019 Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP University of Riau in the study of Bunpou 5. The purpose of this research is to explains how the level of student learning motivation of class 2019 Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP University of Riau in the study of Bunpou 5. The research type with quantitative approach. The population was student of class 2019 of 33 student. The research instrument is questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is validity and reability test. The result of the research shows that the student learning motivation of class class in the high category with percentace of 54,5%.Key Words: Learning Motivation, Bunpou.

Abstract: This study discusses the translation of epistemic modality. The purpose of this study to explain the equivalent epistemic modality in Japanese comics on Indonesian translations. The data is a epistemic modality sentence taken from the Kaguya-sama, Love Is War comics. This is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach.
