Abstract

ABSTRAK Kader posyandu mempunyai peran penting dalam kegiatan pemantauan status gizi balita. Pengetahuan yang baik tentang gizi dan upaya pencegahan stunting akan membantu kader dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat. Sebanyak 20 kader perlu dibekali dengan pengetahuan tentang gizi dan kesehatan yang baik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader Posyandu dalam melakukan pemantauan pertumbuhan dan penyuluhan kesehatan kepada masyarakat sebagai salah satu Upaya pencegahan stunting. Sasaran utama pada kegiatan ini adalah kader posyandu di wilayah Desa Sari Gadung, Tanah Bumbu. Peningkatan kapasitas dilakukan melalui tiga metode yaitu, edukasi, simulasi, dan pendampingan agak kader dapat mempraktikkan secara langsung pengetahuan yang telah diberikan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan menggunakan edukasi, simulasi dan pendampingan. Metode tersebut dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu dalam memantau tumbuh kembang balita dan melakukan penyuluhan kesehatan di masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Stunting, Kader, Penyuluhan  ABSTRACT Posyandu cadres play a crucial role in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers. A strong understanding of nutrition and efforts to prevent stunting can help cadres in delivering education to the community. Approximately 20 individuals need to be equipped with knowledge of good nutrition and health practices. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in monitoring growth and providing health education to the community as part of efforts to prevent stunting. The primary target of this activity is the Posyandu cadres in the Sari Gadung Village, Tanah Bumbu area. Capacity building is achieved through three methods: education, simulation, and mentoring, which empower individuals to apply the knowledge they have acquired directly. The community service activity utilizes methods such as education, simulation, and mentoring. Abstract

Background: Bawang dayak (Eleutherine bulbosa Urb.) grows widely in Kalimantan. This plant can be used as a raw material for medicine and is known to contain phenolic compounds that have antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. The quality of the raw material of a plant determines its pharmacological activity. This is, of course, related to the content of compounds or active substances. One factor that plays an important role is the age of harvest, which can affect the content of compounds both qualitatively and quantitatively.Objective: To determine the simplicia characterization and total phenol content in bulbs of bawang dayak extracted using 96% ethanol, which were harvested at the ages of 1, 2, and 3 months.Method: Bulbs of bawang dayak are used in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd months with several testing stages, namely organoleptic tests, macroscopic tests, and microscopic tests. Further qualitative analysis used TLC with chloroform and methanol (8:2) as the mobile phases. In the quantitative test, we used a UV-Via spectrophotometer with the folin-ciocalteau reagent and the gallic acid comparison.Results: The TLC test showed a positive result for phenol, which was marked after being sprayed with 1% FeCl3, a black spot appeared. The results of the determination of total phenol content in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd months, respectively, were 59.196 ± 0.057, 76.596 ± 0.057, and 60.63 ± 0.2 mg/g GAE. Conclusion: The data above shows that the highest total phenol content is in the second month. Intisari Latar belakang: Bawang dayak (Eleutherine bulbosa Urb.) tumbuh menyebar di wilayah Kalimantan. Tanaman ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku obat dan diketahui mengandung senyawa fenol yang memiliki kemampuan sebagai antibakteri, antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Kualitas bahan baku suatu tanaman sangat menentukan aktivitas farmakologinya. Hal ini tentunya berkaitan dengan kandungan senyawa atau zat aktif. Salah satu faktor yang berperan penting yaitu umur panen yang dapat mempengaruhi kandungan senyawa baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif.Tujuan: Mengetahui karakterisasi simplisia dan kadar fenol total pada umbi bawang dayak yang diekstraksi menggunakan etanol 96% yang dipanen pada umur tanaman 1, 2 dan 3 bulan.Metode: Umbi bawang dayak yang digunakan bulan ke-1, 2 dan 3 dengan beberapa tahap pengujian yaitu uji organoleptis, uji makroskopis, serta uji mikroskopis. Selanjutnya analisis kualitatif menggunakan KLT dengan fase gerak kloroform: metanol (8:2). Pada uji kuantitatif menggunakan alat spektrofotometer UV-Vis dengan reagen folin-ciocalteau dan pembanding asam galat.Hasil: Uji KLT menunjukkan hasil positif fenol ditandai setelah disemprot dengan FeCl3 1% terdapat noda berwarna hitam. Hasil penetapan kadar fenol total bulan pertama, kedua dan ketiga berturut-turut yaitu 59,196 ± 0,057; 76,596 ± 0,057, dan 60,63 ± 0,2 mg/g GAE.Kesimpulan: Kandungan total fenol tertinggi pada ekstrak umbi bawang dayak terdapat pada bulan kedua.Kata kunci: Fenol, KLT, spektrofotometer UV-Vis

Abstract

The cortex of tandui has the potential to be a folk remedy. As an ingredient in traditional medicine, it is necessary to characterize the cortex of tandui as a first step in knowing the quality of the quality of the extract in accordance with the established extract monograph, namely with nonspecific parameters. This study aims to determine the results of the characterization value of nonspecific parameters of ethanol extract of cortex tandui (Mangifera rufocostata Kosterm.). In this study, the extraction of the cortex tandui used the maceration method with a 70% ethanol solvent with a yield gain of 21.1%. The determination of nonspecific parameters includes type weight, moisture content, ash content, acid insoluble ash content, heavy metal contamination, yeast mold contamination and microbial contamination. Ethanol extract of the cortex tandui (Mangifera rufocostata Kosterm.) has successive nonspecific parameter characterization values, namely, type weight of 1.11 grams, moisture content of 42.73%, ash content of 2.28%, acid insoluble ash content of 0.035%, lead metal contamination (Pb) <0.001 mg/kg, cadmium metal contamination (Cd) < 0.001 mg/kg, yeast mold contamination 1,2 × colonies/g and microbial contamination < 1,0 × colonies/g. From the above results, it can be implied that the determination of nonspecific parameters of the ethanol extract of the cortex tandui (Mangifera rufocostata Kosterm.) meets the requirements set except for the parameters of moisture content that exceeds the requirements.

Abstract

KWT Sri Rejeki merupakan salah satu kelompok wanita yang membudidayakan sayuran dan tanaman yang ternyata juga bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai tanaman obat, salah satunya yaitu bawang dayak. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian masyarakat sebelumnya tahun 2022 di KWT Sri Rejeki, produk hasil pendampingan tahun lalu telah dapat diperdagangkan secara offline maupun online namun nilai daya jualnya masih belum maksimal. Keterbatasan dan permasalahannya adalah belum dimilikinya izin edar baik untuk produk olahan simplisia maupun teh celupan bawang dayak sehingga pemasarannya sangat terbatas. Hal ini menunjukkan perlu pengembangan produk dengan pendampingan dalam pengajuan izin edar produk sehingga diharapkan juga dapat meningkatkan pemasaran produk. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk melalui pendampingan pengurusan PIRT produk simplisia dan teh celupan bawang Dayak. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu pengurusan perizinan ke UPT BPP Liang Anggang, pemberian alat penunjang pembuatan produk berupa oven pengering, pendampingan penyuluhan dari dinas Kesehatan banjarbaru terkait pengurusan izin edar PIRT, pendampingan desain kemasan sediaan, serta pengurusan izin PIRT. Pada kegiatan penyuluhan dihadiri sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil kegiatan berupa peningkatan teknologi menggunakan oven pengering pada proses pengeringan produk sehinga meningkatkan kualitas produk, Selain itu anggota KWT Sri Rejeki  lebih memahami alur perizinan dengan baik setelah disampaikan oleh dua narasumber langsung dari dinas Kesehatan banjarbaru. Hasil lainnya berupa produk dengan desain kemasan yang kekinian dan inovatif ditunjang dengan izin PIRT untuk  produk simplisia bawang Dayak dan teh celupan bawang Dayak.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting merupakan salah satu defisiensi gizi kronis yang banyak terjadi pada anak-anak. Salah satu cara mengatasi stunting adalah dengan pemenuhan gizi anak. Bayam merah merupakan sayuran yang dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk pemenuhan gizi. Bayam merah perlu mengalami diversifikasi produk olahan agar mudah dikonsumsi. Melakukan pembuatan diversifikasi produk olahan dari bayam merah untuk mengatasi stunting. Terdapat beberapa tahapan yaitu perizinan, persiapan alat dan bahan, sosialisasi diversifikasi produk olahan, pembuatan produk dan pendampingan, perencanaan kemasan dan evaluasi.  Terdapat dua produk olahan yaitu cookies dan stik bayam merah. Hasil evaluasi diversifikasi produk menunjukkan kelompok ibu PKK sangat setuju untuk produk dapat diolah secara mandiri (70%), peralatan produksi mudah digunakan (75%), kemasan yang disarankan menarik (85%) dan penggunaan sosial media untuk pemasaran dapat dilakukan mandiri (50%). Produk yang dihasilkan ibu PKK Sari Gadung berupa cookies bayam merah dan stik bayam merah yang dapat diberikan untuk pencegahan stunting. Kata Kunci: Sari Gadung, Produk, Bayam Merah, Stunting ABSTRACT Stunting is one of the chronic nutritional deficiencies that often occurs in toddlers. One way to overcome stunting is to fulfill children's nutrition. Red spinach is a vegetable that can be an alternative for fulfilling nutrition. Red spinach needs to be diversified into processed products so that it is easy to consume. To diversify processed products from red spinach to overcome stunting. There are several stages, namely licensing, preparation of tools and materials, socialization of processed product diversification, product creation and assistance, packaging planning and evaluation. There are two processed products, namely cookies and red spinach sticks. The results of the evaluation of product diversification showed that the PKK women group strongly agrees that products could be processed independently (70%), production equipment was easy to use (75%), the recommended packaging was attractive (85%) and the use of social media for marketing could be done independently (50% ). The products produced by PKK Sari Gadung are red spinach cookies and red spinach sticks which can be given to prevent stunting. Keywords: Sari Gadung, Product, Red Spinach, Stunting

Abstract

The free radical is an unstable molecule because contains one or two unpaired electrons. The antioxidant substance is a simple way to decrease the illness caused by free radicals. Cawat hanoman (Bauhinia aculeata L.) was known to contain tannin components one of the benefits as an antioxidant. This research aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the B. aculeata stem tested by qualitatively used thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and quantitatively using the DPPH method. Bauhinia aculeata stem was extracted using a maceration extract method with 96% ethanol. Antioxidant activity test was done qualitatively by eluent of ethyl acetate : methanol : purified water (6 : 2 : 1) using TLC and quantitatively using the DPPH method. The result of antioxidant activity from 96% ethanol extract of B. aculeata stem qualitatively showed the presence of yellow spots on a purple background at TLC after syringed DPPH 0.5 mM and quantitative test that resulted in an IC50 of 21.862 μg/mL. These results indicate that 96% ethanol extract of B. aculeata has very strong antioxidant activity.

Abstract

Sangkareho (Callicarpa longifolia Lam.) is used traditionally by one of Kalimantan's indigenous tribes, the Dayak Tunjung tribe as a medicine for colds and inflammation, where the plant parts used are the roots. Considering its very potential prospects, research aimed at providing a scientific basis for plant pharmacognostic data needs to be carried out with qualitative methods. The qualitative examination is done by several methods including test identification of organoleptic, macroscopic, microscopic, and chemical compounds. Organoleptic test results showed that the roots have a light brown color, bitter and slightly spicy, and a rather pungent odor. Microscopic test results showed sangkareho root has a length of ± 90 cm; width of ± 1 cm; and for the form of a spear with a ride root system. Microscopic observations are found in the form of epidermal cells, exodermis, cortex, endodermis, bearing files, calcium oxalate crystals, and stone cells. The identification of chemical compounds showed positive results against alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and triterpenoids. The thin-layer chromatography profile shows four separate stains with eluent ethyl acetate : methanol : water in a ratio of 8 : 2 : 1, respectively.

Abstract

An autoimmune condition known as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) results in chronic joint inflammation. Side effects that occur during long-term RA treatment are dangerous. Therefore, many people prefer herbal medicines, estimated to have lower side effects; one such herb is bawang dayak (Eleutherine bulbosa Urb.) bulbs. This study aimed to determine the class of compounds and the effective dose of the 96% ethanol extract of E. bulbosa bulbs, which had an anti-RA effect in the Wistar strain with the Adjuvant Induced Arthritis (AIA) model. Eleutherine bulbosa bulb extract was macerated with 96% ethanol. In the tests with extract doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/KgBW and methylprednisolone 15 mg/KgBW, the induction used Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA). Treatment was provided from day eight through 21 of the test's 21-day duration. Phytochemical screening results contain alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, quinones, saponins, steroids, and tannins. The percentage inhibition of edema volume and joint thickness, respectively, extract doses of 100, 200, 400 mg/KgBW, and methylprednisolone 15 mg/KgBW were 27.9585%, 49.3446%, 53.3239%, and 58.4629%; as well as 64.9809%, 73.8022%, 74.1444%, and 74.1825%. After analyzing the results, it was determined that E. bulbosa bulb extracts in 96% ethanol can treat RA at effective 200 and 400 mg/KgBW (p-value <0.05).

Abstract

The Sri Rejeki Women's Farmers Group (KWT) is in Landasan Ulin Utara District, Banjarbaru City—the majority of residents in the area work as farmers. The natural potential in the area supports agricultural activities such as the cultivation of Butterfly Pea flowers and Bawang Dayak. Several products from KWT Sri Rejeki have been marketed but could be more optimal and are still sold offline. Based on these things, it is necessary to carry out several activities, namely diversifying processed products, making new packaging, and expanding marketing activities. This activity aims to increase understanding regarding types of processed products, improve packaging, and increase capabilities at the product marketing stage. Methods include training on the diversification of processed products, product creation and assistance, packaging planning, online marketing, and evaluation. The products produced are simplicia, tea bags, and powder from Butterfly Pea flowers and Bawang Dayak bulbs. Online marketing is carried out via Instagram, Shopee, and Tokopedia with the account name kwtsrirejeki.

Abstract

In South Kalimantan, the stunting incidence rate in 2022 will be 24.6%, more significant than the national prevalence rate of 21.6%. Tanah Bumbu is one of the districts located in South Kalimantan Province, with the incidence of stunting in Tanah Bumbu district, according to SSGI data, reaching 16.1%. Sari Gadung Village is one of the villages in Simpang Empat District, Tanah Spice Regency. This village has a potentially productive group, namely Posyandu Cadres. Data on the incidence of stunting in Tanah Spice Regency reached 16.1%. Providing health supplements to the community is needed to improve community health in Sari Gadung village and prevent stunting. This community service activity aims to prevent stunting by providing health checks, including checking Hb, glucose, uric acid, and blood pressure, and providing blood supplements. The method is that adult female patients are given drug information regarding the use of iron and folic acid drugs, and then their Hb, glucose, uric acid, and blood pressure are checked. The results of this activity showed that the number of patients who took part in the activity was 37, the average Hb value was 15.9 g/dL, the average uric acid was 8.6 mg/dL, the mean glucose was 112.5 mg/dL, and the blood pressure was 122/82 mmHg. The conclusion is that the results of the health examination at the posyandu in Sari Gadung village are still in the normal category.
