Abstract

ABSTRAK Potensi budidaya tanaman herbal terbuka luas, program ini menjadi pilar dalam peningkatkan Kesehatan, ekonomi dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati. Meningkatkan budidaya tanaman herbal di wilayah Desa Bentok Kampung, Kecamatan Bati-Bati, Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Tahapan pada metode yang dilakukan yaitu persiapan kegiatan, sosialisasi budidaya tanaman herbal, pelatihan dan pendampingan budidaya diakhiri dengan monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi berjalan dengan lancar dan terdapat diskusi interaktif yang menentukan tanaman yang akan dibudidaya. Pada tahap pendampingan dilakukan persiapan lahan, pemilihan bibit dan penanaman dari buah naga, bawang Dayak dan jahe merah. Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat berlangsung dengan lancar dan terdapat budidaya difokuskan pada tiga tanaman yaitu buah naga, bawang Dayak dan rimpang jahe merah. Kata kunci: Kelompok Tani, Budidaya, Herbal, Tanah Laut  ABSTRACT The potential for herbal plant cultivation is wide open, this program is a pillar in improving health, economy and biodiversity conservation. To improve herbal plant cultivation in the Bentok Kampung area, Bati-Bati District, Tanah Laut Regency. The stages in the method carried out are preparation of activities, socialization of herbal plant cultivation, training and cultivation assistance ending with monitoring and evaluation of activities. The implementation of socialization went smoothly and there was an interactive discussion that determined the plants to be cultivated. At the assistance stage, land preparation, seed selection and planting of dragon fruit, Dayak onions and red ginger were carried out. Community service activities went smoothly and there was cultivation focused on three plants, namely dragon fruit, Dayak onions and red ginger rhizomes. Keywords: Group Farming, Cultivation, Herbs, Tanah Laut

Abstract

Aims : This study aimed to explore the PLWH live experience in dealing with HIV / AIDS symptoms. Design : This study applied qualitative method. Methdos : This study used descriptive explorative to explore the HIV symptoms experiences of PLWH in Padang West Sumatera, Indonesia. We conducted an unstructured interview among purposively sample PLWH. Inclusion criteria for participation were being male or female PLWH, residing in Padang, and age over 18 years. Data saturation was reached after the completion of 9 interviews. Content analysis was used to analyze and interpret qualitative data. Results : The following themes emerged from the data: (a) face troublesome symptoms, (b) health literacy in HIV care, and (c) make efforts to heal. Conclusions : PLWH experience HIV symptoms, continue to adapt and learn. The information about HIV symptoms experiences can facilitate caregiver to plan nursing care, identify education needs to help PLWH dealing with symptoms of HIV. This research can be the basis for conducting further research on how to manage the symptoms of HIV.

Abstract

Background: During the Covid 19 pandemic, the need of care and the death rate of patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) increased. So that nurses are required to to integrate the implementation of end of life care (EOLC) in end of life (EOL) patients. However, the implementation of EOLC during the Covid 19 pandemic was vulnerable to obstacles. The implementation of EOLC treatment is influenced by knowledge. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between knowledge and implementation of EOLC during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Intensive Care Unit room. Methods: This research is a descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was 91 people, using a convenience sampling technique. This research was conducted in August-October 2022 with research respondents in intensive care nurses at the Hospital in Padang City who worked during the Covid 19 pandemic for at least 1 year. Data collection used Palliative Care Quiz for Nurse Indonesian Version (PCQN-I) and Self Reported Practice Checklist. Data analysis used fisher's exact test. Results: The results showed that nurses' EOLC knowledge was in the moderate category (82.4%) and the implementation of end of life care by nurses during the Covid 19 pandemic was in the high category (85.7%). Conclusion: There was no relationship between EOLC knowledge and EOLC implementation during the Covid 19 pandemic (p = 0.451). Hospital institutions are advised to facilitate the increase of end of life care knowledge in nurses so as to support optimal implementation. Keywords: End of Life Care, Knowledge, Implementation, Nurse, Intensive Care Unit

Abstract

Radikal bebas merupakan molekul yang tidak stabil dan sangat reaktif dan perlu diatasi dengan memanfaatkan senyawa antioksidan dari bahan alam. Bawang suna (Allium schoenoprasum L.) merupakan tanaman asal Kalimantan Tengah yang banyak digunakan sebagai bumbu dapur sekaligus obat herbal oleh masyarakat Dayak, serta diduga memiliki aktivitas antioksidan karena kandungan metabolit sekundernya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol 96% umbi bawang suna segar dan hasil fermentasi menggunakan metode ABTS (2,2′-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)). Proses fermentasi dilakukan selama 7 hari pada suhu 70–80°C dilanjutkan ekstraksi metode maserasi dengan etanol 96%. Skrining fitokimia secara kualitatif dan uji antioksidan dengan metode spektorofotometri UV-Vis dengan senyawa radikal bebas ABTS. Pembanding yang digunakan yaitu kuersetin. Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak etanol umbi bawang suna segar dan hasil fermentasi positif mengandung alkaloid, fenol, flavonoid, saponin, dan triterpenoid. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan nilai IC₅₀ ekstrak segar sebesar 180,277 ppm, hasil fermentasi sebesar 175,536 ppm, dan kontrol positif kuersetin sebesar 4,499 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol 96% umbi bawang suna baik kondisi segar maupun fermentasi memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kategori lemah.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus remains a major global health issue, with rising prevalence due to population growth, aging, and lifestyle factors. Melastoma malabthricum L. has potential as an antidiabetic agent based on empirical data and in vivo study. Objective: To determine the content of secondary metabolite compounds contained in the extract of Karamunting leaves and to determine the activity and EC50 value of the extract for antidiabetes was evaluated using the Nelson-Somogyi method. Methods: This study used the phytochemical screening approach to identify the active chemicals. 96% ethanol was the solvent used in the maceration process to extract the leaves of M. malabathricum. The Nelson-Somogyi method was used to test the antidiabetic activity by calculated the sample's EC50 value on decreased glucose levels. The Nelson Somogyi method's antidiabetic activity was tested with a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. It operated for 25 minutes at a wavelength of 740 nm. Results: Phenolic chemicals, flavonoids, saponins, steroids, and tannins all exhibited positive results from the phytochemical screening. After the addition of 96% ethanol extract of M. malabathricum leaves at gradually higher concentrations, the percentage decrease in glucose levels was 25.32%, 36.90%, 51.39%, 70.87, and 82.83% at concentrations of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 ppm. R2 = 0.9927 with y = 14.898x + 8.7747. Conclusion: 96% ethanol extract of M.malabathricum leaves contains several active substances, can reduce blood glucose levels and has an EC50 value of 2.76 ppm. Clinically, this implies a promising therapeutic potential with lower required dosages.

Abstract

ABSTRAK UMKM Kopi Jahe Arab Martapura menggunakan kopi pengaron asli Kalimantan Selatan sebagai bahan baku produknya. Kopi pengaron termasuk kopi robusta yang telah sejak lama dibudidayakan di Kecamatan Pengaron, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan. Meningkatkan daya saing produk dengan memvariasikan olahan produk. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah persiapan, sosialisasi variasi olahan produk, penyerahan alat teknologi dan inovasi berupa mesin perajang bahan baku, pelatihan dan pendampingan kegiatan pembuatan produk dan evaluasi. Terdapat empat produk variasi olahan produk tambahan yang akan dikomersialisasikan yaitu 1) biji kopi pengaron – green bean; 2) biji kopi pengaron – roasted; 3) bubuk kopi pengaron; 4) kopi pengaron gula aren. Pada tahap awal variasi ukuran yang digunakan yaitu 100 gram.  Hasil evaluasi kegiatan mitra memiliki peningkatkan kemampuan dalam membuat variasi olahan produk kopi dan mampu menggunakan alat mesin perajang.  Tambahan variasi olahan produk dari mitra menambah daya saing UMKM dan dapat dikomersialisasikan.  Kata Kunci: Kopi, Greenbean, Roasted, Bubuk, Aren.  ABSTRACT UMKM Kopi Jahe Arab Martapura uses original South Kalimantan pengaron coffee as the raw material for its products. Pengaron coffee is a type of robusta coffee that has long been cultivated in Pengaron District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. To increase product competitiveness by varying product processing. The stages of activities carried out are preparation, socialization of product processing variations, handover of technological and innovative tools in the form of raw material shredding machines, training and mentoring in product manufacturing activities and evaluation. There are four additional processed product variations that will be commercialized, namely 1) pengaron coffee beans - green beans; 2) pengaron coffee beans - roasted; 3) pengaron coffee powder; 4) palm sugar pengaron coffee. In the initial stage, the size variation used was 100 grams. The results of the evaluation of partner activities have increased the ability to make variations of processed coffee products and are able to use shredding machines. Additional variations of processed products from partners increase the competitiveness of UMKM and can be commercialized.  Keywords: Coffee, Greenbean, Roasted, Powder, Palm Sugar.

Abstract

The Sri Rejeki Women's Farmers Group (KWT) is in Landasan Ulin Utara District, Banjarbaru City—the majority of residents in the area work as farmers. The natural potential in the area supports agricultural activities such as the cultivation of Butterfly Pea flowers and Bawang Dayak. Several products from KWT Sri Rejeki have been marketed but could be more optimal and are still sold offline. Based on these things, it is necessary to carry out several activities, namely diversifying processed products, making new packaging, and expanding marketing activities. This activity aims to increase understanding regarding types of processed products, improve packaging, and increase capabilities at the product marketing stage. Methods include training on the diversification of processed products, product creation and assistance, packaging planning, online marketing, and evaluation. The products produced are simplicia, tea bags, and powder from Butterfly Pea flowers and Bawang Dayak bulbs. Online marketing is carried out via Instagram, Shopee, and Tokopedia with the account name kwtsrirejeki.

Abstract

In South Kalimantan, the stunting incidence rate in 2022 will be 24.6%, more significant than the national prevalence rate of 21.6%. Tanah Bumbu is one of the districts located in South Kalimantan Province, with the incidence of stunting in Tanah Bumbu district, according to SSGI data, reaching 16.1%. Sari Gadung Village is one of the villages in Simpang Empat District, Tanah Spice Regency. This village has a potentially productive group, namely Posyandu Cadres. Data on the incidence of stunting in Tanah Spice Regency reached 16.1%. Providing health supplements to the community is needed to improve community health in Sari Gadung village and prevent stunting. This community service activity aims to prevent stunting by providing health checks, including checking Hb, glucose, uric acid, and blood pressure, and providing blood supplements. The method is that adult female patients are given drug information regarding the use of iron and folic acid drugs, and then their Hb, glucose, uric acid, and blood pressure are checked. The results of this activity showed that the number of patients who took part in the activity was 37, the average Hb value was 15.9 g/dL, the average uric acid was 8.6 mg/dL, the mean glucose was 112.5 mg/dL, and the blood pressure was 122/82 mmHg. The conclusion is that the results of the health examination at the posyandu in Sari Gadung village are still in the normal category.

Abstract

WHO mencatat hingga awal November 2021 terdapat 248 juta orang menderita Covid-19 di 223 negara. Sebanyak 5,01 juta masyarakat yang terkena Covid-19 meninggal dunia. Kasus terkonfirmasi COVID-19 Provinsi Sumatera Barat sampai tanggal 2 November 2021 sebanyak 89 ribu orang. Menuju era new normal, perlu adanya akselerasi menormalkan kehidupan kampus dengan mengkombinasikan pembelajaran daring dan luring (hybrid learning) termasuk mahasiswa keperawatan UNAND. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui perbandingan prestasi belajar mahasiswa setelah praktikum daring dan hybrid mata kuliah Ilmu Dasar Keperawatan. Metode yang digunakan kuantitatif non eksperimen dengan analisis komparasional. Sampel berjumlah 122 responden menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji mann whitney. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang praktikum Ilmu Dasar Keperawatan daring memiliki nilai median 69,8, sedangkan mahasiswa yang praktikum Ilmu Dasar Keperawatan hybrid memiliki nilai median 74,6. Hasil analisis data dengan uji mann whitney menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang praktikum Ilmu Dasar Keperawatan daring dengan mahasiswa yang praktikum Ilmu Dasar Keperawatan hybrid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode praktikum tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar Ilmu Dasar Keperawatan.

Abstract

Ekstrak metanol dari daun Ramania (Bouea macrophylla Griffith) telah teruji dengan dosis kecil memiliki efek antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, namun belum pernah dilakukan pengujian pada dosis yang lebih tinggi dan membandingkan pada metode ekstraksi yang berbeda seperti maserasi dan soxhletasi. Pada penelitian bermaksud untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa yang terdapat pada ekstrak metanol dari daun ramania dengan metode yang berbeda dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh peningkatan konsentrasi ekstrak terhadap penghambatan bakteri S.aureus dengan penyarian secara maserasi dan soxhletasi. Uji antibakteri dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi sumuran. Penapisan fitokimia terhadap ektrak metanol daun remania menunjukkan keberadaan senyawa yaitu mengandung senyawa saponin, flavonoid, fenol, tanin, steroid. Hasil ují antibakteri terhadap ekstrak daun ramania yang diperoleh dengan metode maserasi lebih baik dibandingkan dengan ekstrak yang diperoleh dengan metode Soxlet, yaitu pada konsentrasi 50, 40, 30, 20 dan 10%, memberikan zona hambat berturut-turut sebesar 19,28;13,28; 12,93; 12,25; dan 10,98 mm, dengan kategori kuat. Sedangkan hasil pada pengujian dengan esktraksi menggunakan alat soxhlet pada konsentrasi 50, 40, 30, 20 dan 10%, memberikan zona hambat berturut-turut sebesar 10,7; 10,3; 8,9; 8,6; dan  8,3 mm dengan kategori sedang sampai kuat.
