Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the factors that relate to the prevention of filariasis in West Pasaman 2014. This research uses a cross sectional design. The sample size in this study is based on a minimum provision of finger blood survey study of 500 samples. Processing data using univariate, bivariate and mulivariat with statistical test Chi-Square. The factors associated with the prevention of filariasis, jobs at risk (PR = 1.280, 95% CI: 1.034 - 1.585) health education (PR = 1,545, CI 95% : 1,153-2,070) , socio-economic level (PR = 1.275, 95% CI: 1.049 - 1.550) and the factors that are not related, which is the level of education (PR = 1.107, 95% CI: 0.830 - 1.477), the level of knowledge (PR = 1.026, 95% CI: 0.048 - 1.240), attitude (PR = 0.962, 95% CI: 0.797 - 1.162), as well as the role of the community leaders (PR = 0.908, 95% CI: 0.746 - 1.105). Health education is the most dominant factor in the prevention of filariasis. That health promotion programs should be carried out regularly by health workers by improving communication, information, education and providing health education with the goal to improve disease prevention measures filariasis.Key Words: Filariasis, factors, prevention

Abstract

The whitespotted grouper Epinephelus coeruleopunctatus is one of the commercial marine fish species occurred in the coastal waters of Padang city, Indonesia. The population of the whitespotted grouper has been declining over last decade. Unfortunately, there was a lack of information on the biology of this species was available. Hence, the objectives of the study were to examine the length-weight relationships and condition factors of the whitespotted grouper harvested from coastal waters of Padang city, Indonesia. The fish sampling was carried out from April to October 2013. The fish samples were weighed for total body weight and measured for total length. The result showed that the male grouper has W = (3.1538  10 –5) L 2.8613,  while the female has W= (3.8617  10–5)  L 2.8384. Both sexes male and female displayed the negative growth pattern.

Abstract

Background: West Sumatra is a target area for malaria elimination in 2020; the Annual Parasite Incidence (API) in Padang City increased from 0.12 per 1000 inhabitants to 0.13 per 1000 inhabitants between 2015 and 2016. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the effect of factors contributing to malaria events based on the environmental and behavioral conditions of people in Padang City. Method: This is a quantitative study using a case-control approach. The research was conducted in Padang from August 2017 until January 2018. The case-control study was conducted on a sample of 62 people, consisting of 31 cases and 31 controls. Cases were identified through random sampling and controls were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was via observation and questionnaires and both univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted. Results: Descriptively, malaria patients were more likely to live in at-risk physical conditions at home (74.12%), had a history of visiting endemic areas (41.90%), did not use mosquito repellent equipment (58%), and had the habit of being outdoors at night (32.28%). Statistical tests showed the risk factors for the incidence of malaria were the physical condition of the house (OR = 3.43; 95% CI 1.20–9.20) and a history of visiting endemic areas (OR = 9; 95% CI 1.20–394). Conclusion: Environmental and behavioral factors affect the incidence of malaria. It is recommended that the Padang City Health Office provide counseling through health promotion officers about healthy homes and advise people not to go to endemic areas.

Abstract

The study is done at October to December 2018 in Tourist Waters Park Area Pieh Island.Choice of location for the Marine Park Area Pieh Island and the sea all around, located in two cities is Padang City and Pariaman city and one district Padang Pariaman doing by deliberately (purposive sampling). Research aims to known the exploitation of fish and aimed to know the state of resources fish in Marine Park Area Pieh Island.The research results show that the rate of the exploits of fish in Marine Park Area Pieh Island the longest wait with an average value of the the exploits of 0,75731 , the rate of the exploits of has the highest poverty rate is found in species of Stolephorus sp , Euthynnus sp, Rastrelliger spp, Sardinella spp, Selaroides sp, Leiognathus spp, Scomberoides sp, Caranx sp, Alectis sp, Sphyraena sp, Acanthocybium sp, Lutjanus  sp, Trihiurusavala sp, Katsuwonus sp, Epinephelus spp, Arius spp, Lolligo spp with the size of the taxes exploits of >0,5. The lowest exploitation is found in species of fish, Decapterus sp, Therapon spp , Thunnus sp still under the < 0,5, still can be used optimally. Instrument get used to have a low selektifitas where all of the size of fish arrested so that reduces the chance to the fish grow can indeed be resulted in excess catch (overfishing).Keyword : exploitation, Utilization, Marine Park Area Pieh IslandABSTRAK Kajian eksploitasi hasil tangkapan di sekitar Kawasan Taman Wisata Perairan Pulau Pieh berperan untuk mengetahui tingkatan eksploitasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalahUntuk mengetahui Hasil Tangkapan ikan dan mengetahui hasil eksploitasi ikan. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan dengan sengaja (purposive sampling) yakni pada TPI Pasie Nan Tigo Kota Padang, TPI Karan Aur Kota Pariaman, TPI Pasar Ulakan Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dan PPI Pasir Baru Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Tingkat eksploitasi ikan di TWP Pulau Pieh dengan rata – rata nilai eksploitasi 0,75731, laju eksploitasi tertinggi terdapat pada jenis ikan Teri, Tongkol Kembung, Sarden, Selar, Peperek, Talang – Talang, Kuwe, Barakuda, Tenggiri, Kakap, Layur, Cakalang, Kerapu, Gole – Gole, Manyung dan Cumi – Cumi dengan besaran eksploitasi > 0,5. Laju Eksploitasi Terendah terdapat pada jenis ikan Layang, Tuna dan Kerong – kerong yang masih dibawah angka ketetapan < 0,5, sehingga masih dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kondisi sumberdaya ikan di TWP Pulau Pieh sudah mengalami overfishing atau kelebihan tangkap dikarenakan tingginya laju eksploitasi penangkapan. Alat tangkap yang digunakan memiliki tingkat selektifitas yang rendah sehingga dapat mengakibatkan kelebihan tangkap. Kata Kunci: Eksploitasi, Pemanfaatan, TWP Pulau Pieh

Abstract

AbstrakPendahuluan: Bandar udara merupakan salah satu tempat umum yang dapat menjadi pintu masuk (port de entry) suatu penyakit termasuk COVID-19. Wabah COVID-19 telah dinyatakan sebagai Public Health Emergencies of  International  Concern  (PHEIC) oleh WHO pada 30 Januari 2020. Pernyataan ini merupakan deklarasi keenam yang dilakukan oleh WHO sejak pandemi flu 2009. Surveilans epidemiologi pada pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit dilakukan dengan cara penemuan kasus di pintu masuk dan penemuan kasus wilayah. Kegiatan surveilans epidemiologi di pintu masuk dilakukan untuk upaya pencegahan, pendeteksian, dan respon terhadap penyakit di pintu masuk, pelabuhan, bandara, dan Pos Lintas Darat Batas Negara(PLDBN). Tujuan Penelitian: untuk melihat dan mengevaluasi kegiatan surveilans epidemiologi COVID-19 di Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan wilayah kerja Bandara International Minangkabau. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian evaluatif dimana mengevaluasi dan menilai suatu kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memperoleh informasi mendalam dari informan/ sumber data tentang kegiatan yang dilakukan, untuk menjelaskan keadaan yang sebenarnya di lapangan. Hasil: Masalah yang ditemukan terdapat pada tenaga surveilans, Pelaporan data dan disemenasi data. Dibutuhkan tenaga pengendalian karantina kesehatan yang mengikut pelatihan agar maksimal melakukan kegiatan surveilans, lalu dilakukan pelaporan data penyakit mingguan agar trend penyakit terlihat, selanjutnya disemenasi kepada stakeholder yang berkompeten dalam bentuk rekomendasi.Katakunci — surveilans, evaluasi, bandara. Abstract Introduction: The airport is one of the public places that can be a port de entry for a disease, including COVID-19. The COVID-19 outbreak has been declared a Public Health Emergencies of International Concern (PHEIC) by WHO on January 30, 2020. This statement is the sixth declaration made by WHO since the 2009 flu pandemic. Epidemiological surveillance on disease prevention and control is carried out by finding cases in entrance and area case finding. Epidemiological surveillance activities at entrances are carried out for prevention, detection, and response to diseases at entrances, ports, airports, and State Border Crossings Posts (PLDBN). Aims: To observe and evaluate COVID-19 epidemiological surveillance activities at the Port Health Office in the working area of Minangkabau International Airport. Methods: This type of research is included in evaluative research where evaluating and assessing an activity uses a qualitative approach to obtain in-depth information from informants/data sources about the activities carried out, to explain the actual situation in the field. Results: The problems found were in the surveillance staff, data reporting and data dissemination. It takes health quarantine control personnel who participate in training to maximize surveillance activities, then weekly disease data reports are carried out so that disease trends can be seen, then disseminated to competent stakeholders in the form of recommendations. Keywords—surveillance, evaluation, airport.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Tuberkulosis (TB) saat ini masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat baik di Indonesia. Pada tahun 2018 prevalensi TB paru di Indonesia sebesar 0,42% dan di Sumatera Barat sebesar 0,31%. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model faktor risiko penyakit TB Paru pada Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik observasional dengan menggunakan data sekunder tahun 2020 yang dikumpulkan dari Dinas Kesehatan dan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Sumatera Barat dan analisis multivariat meliputi analisis kluster, analisis biplot dan analisis diskriminan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan prevalensi penderita TB terbanyak berada di Kota Solok yaitu 20 per 10.000 penduduk. Proses pengelompokan menghasilkan tiga kluster kabupaten/kota berdasarkan faktor penyebab TB. Kluster satu tidak memiliki permasalahan terhadap faktor penyebab TB. Kluster dua dipengaruhi oleh variabel prevalensi TB, persentase cakupan bayi imunisasi BCG, jumlah posyandu, persentase penduduk miskin, dan persentase sumber air minum layak. Kluster tiga dipengaruhi oleh variabel persentase tiak ada/tidak menggunakan fasilitas tempat BAB, nilai indeks kualitas udara, persentase rumah tangga memiliki lantai tanah, kepadatan penduduk, jumlah balita gizi kurang, persentase bahan bakar utama memasak dengan kayu, dan persentase rumah tangga sanitasi layak memiliki faktor penyebab TB tertinggi. Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan karakteristik dan kerawanan pada masing-masing kluster kabupaten/kota di Sumatera Barat berdasarkan faktor penyebab TB.  Kata kunci: Model, Faktor Risiko, Tuberkulosis.

Abstract

The chain of transmission of COVID-19 cases has been increased from day to day. Based on data from the Ministry of Health, the province of West Sumatra is ranked 3rd in Indonesia. This research is aimed to find out the modelling of risk factor of COVID-19 disease in district/city in West Sumatera. This research is an observational analytic study using secondary data in 2020 and multivariate analysis includes a cluster analysis, biplot analysis and discriminant analysis. The unit of analysis in this study are all districts / cities in West Sumatra and uses 6 factors that cause COVID-19 in West Sumatra. Grouping process yielded  three  clusters  of  districts  /  cities  based  on factors  causes  COVID-19. The different variable between clusters based on the result of discriminant analysis, namely; the number of elderly, the percentage of poor people and the population density. To that end, it is advisable to  West Sumatra Provincial Health Office in the implementation of eradication programs and disease prevention COVID-19 to implement disease management based on the characteristics of each region of each district / city.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penularan Penyakit COVID-19 juga terjadi di Provinsi Jambi yang kasusnya terjadi peningkatan, dua tahun terakhir tahun 2020 (0,05%), 2021 (0,72%), 2022 (0,80%). Tujuan penelitian untuk membuat pemetaan faktor risiko COVID-19 di Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik observasional yang didahului dengan studi deskriptif dan dilanjutkan dengan studi analitik. Tempat penelitian di Provinsi Jambi dengan populasi yaitu seluruh Kabupaten/Kota dan variabel penelitian (persentase balita, ibu hamil, lansia, kepadatan penduduk, tingkat pendidikan, tingkat kemiskinan, jumlah puskesmas dan rumah sakit) dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari Dinkes dan BPS Provinsi Jambi tahun 2022. Analisis penelitian yaitu analisis kluster, biplot dan deskriminan serta membuat pemetaan potensi kerawanan terhadap COVID-19. Hasil pengklusteran didapatkan tiga kluster Kabupaten/Kota. Variabel rumah sakit, lanjut usia, kepadatan penduduk, tingkat kemiskinan dan ibu hamil merupakan pembeda antara kluster satu dan kluster dua. Sedangkan untuk hasil pemetaan diperoleh pemetaan potensi kerawanan terhadap COVID-19. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya perbedaan karakteristik dan potensi kerawanan terhadap COVID-19 disetiap daerah, sehingga diharapkan Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jambi dapat menghimbau setiap daerah selalu mengupayakan 3T, 5M serta optimalisasi vaksinasi. Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the mycobacterium tuberculosis that remains a major global health problem with an estimated 10.4 million new cases of tuberculosis each year. Pulmonary Tuberculosis is a disease that has been around for a long time and is still a major problem in the health sector. Indonesia is the second largest contributor to the increase in tuberculosis cases globally.The meta study of this analysis aims to be a guide in decision making to  prevent the community from Tuberculosis transmission in the future.  Statistical methods in this Meta-Analysis study was combined the selected 6 articles of quantitative research from 47,474 by finding summary value using a review manager software version 5.4.1 and using a review of articles or journals that have been published for less than 5 years and are available in an online database such as Garuda, SINTA, PubMed, and Science Direct Meta analysis indicates that smoking behavior (95% ci : 1,93-6,62; P value < 0.0001), residential density (95% cl : 1,68-24,81; P value = 0.007), and humidity of 1,934 (95% ci : 1,02-2,43; P value = 0.004) increases the chances for tuberculosis. The study concluded that all variables such as smoking behaviour, residential density, and humidity increase the likelihood of tuberculosis. It has to recommended that  the decision makers on Health Office force to providing more media promotion and education to patients and their families about efforts to prevent and control TB disease is expected to prevent transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis transmission in Indonesia. Keywords: Meta-analysis, Risk factors, Tuberculosis

Abstract

Abstract. An investigation of analysis of stomach contents of fish Mingkih, Cestraceus plicatilis. Fish were caught in the Pesisir Selatan District (100028’ 5’’; 100029’ 16’’; 100031’ 25’’). Fishing conducted from March to July 2015. Fish were caught with fishing traditional equipment (cast nets, and spearfishing).  Samples of fish caught divided into three groups according to a predetermined si wize class are ≤ than 12 cm, 13-25 cm and ≥ 26 cm. The Mingkih fish Cestraceus plicatilis, was including herbivorous fish, which they were ratio of the total length body with of the digestive tract with an average of 3,21cm; 3,02 cm and 2,84 cm. There are different types of food found in the stomach based on the size of the fish. The main food types consumed both in the size ≤ than 12 cm, 13-25 cm and ≥ 26 cm are phytoplankton / periphyton (Chrysophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae), zooplankton and detritus (other organic materials).Keywords: stomach, type of food, Mingkih fish and herbivorous Abstrak.Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis isi lambung ikan Mingkih, Cestraceus plicatilis. Ikan sampel diperoleh dari hasil tangkapan di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan (100 0 28’ 5’’; 100 0 29’ 16’’; 100 0 31’ 25’’). Penangkaapan dilakukan dari bulan Maret sampai Juli 2015. Ikan di tangkap dengan alat tangkap tradisional (jala/jaring lempar dan panah). Ikan sampel yang tertangkap dibagi dalam 3 kelompok sesuai dengan ukuran yang telah ditetapkan yaitu ≤ 12 cm, 13 – 25 cm dan ≥ 26 cm. Ikan Cestraceus plicatilis, termasuk ikan omniivora dengan ratio panjang saluran pencernaan dengan panjang total yaitu rata-rata 3,21 cm; 3,02  cm dan 2,84 cm. Terdapat perbedaan jenis makanan yang ditemukan di dalam lambung berdasarkan kelompok ukuran ikan. Jenis makanan utama yang dikonsumsi baik dari ukuran ≤ 12 cm, 13 – 25 cm maupun ≥ 26 cm adalah Phytoplankton/periphyton (Chrysophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae), zooplankton dan detritus (bahan organik lainnya).Kata kunci:lambung, jenis makanan, ikan Mingkih dan herbivora
