Abstract

This research aims to examine the shift in the tradition of sanctioning the Semarga Marriage Customary Law in Sibuhuan, Padang Lawas. This research is qualitative research by identifying the existence of factors that cause clan marriages to occur and customary sanctions for perpetrators of clan marriages in the community in Sibuhuan. The results of the research show that the factors that cause clan marriages to occur in Sibuhuan are caused by two factors, namely the influence of Islamic religious teachings which do not prohibit clan marriages, but there are special rules in marriage according to Islam who cannot marry. In general, the perpetrators of clan marriages choose the rules. according to the teachings of Islam. Meanwhile, the second factor is due to the lack of understanding of the people in Sibuhuan about Batak customs which do not allow marriage within the clan because it will have an impact on Batak traditions. Meanwhile, there are several types of customary sanctions for perpetrators of marriage with the same clan, namely, (1) customary sanctions for prospective parents-in-law; (2) A woman who is married to her husband's surname must change her surname by asking for the surname from the husband's mother through the Adat process; (3) The surname of the groom's mother must be given to the bride and only applies to herself; (4) If there is a male child in their offspring in the future, the male child is not permitted to take bone boru and (5) cannot take part in the traditional banquet served at anyone's wedding party, before doing these four things. The conclusion obtained from this research is that intermarriage often occurs because the Angkola Batak community in Sibuhuan prioritizes religious teachings over customs and lacks understanding of Western customs. Then the traditional sanctions against perpetrators of intermarriage in the Angkola Batak Community in Sibuhuan still exist today, although they are not too heavy for the perpetrators.

Abstract

By following the times, companies provide electronic services (e-service quality). E-service quality or electronic service can be defined as an interactive service offered by service providers, which aims to strengthen the relationship between consumers and service providers. The quality of service of a company is needed to meet the increasingly diverse needs of society. Therefore, entrepreneurs make new innovations to provide the best quality of service. One company that implements online-based service innovations is the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) company PT PLN (Persero). PT PLN created a service model in the form of an application called PLN Mobile to make it easier for customers to meet their information needs and interactions with PLN.This study aims to determine the effect of E-quality of service on customer satisfaction of PLN mobile application users of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Perbaungan customers. The population of this study was 1,151 households of electricity meter users using the Slovin sampling formula, obtained a sample size of 43 samples who had downloaded the PLN mobile application in PlayStore. Then for the analysis technique using multiple linear regression analysis and data processing using SPSS software version 20. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that E-Service Quality (Efficient and reliable service, Fullfilment, Security / trust, Site aesthetics, Responsiveness / contact, Ease of use) simultaneously has a significant influence on Customer Satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether leadership style and compensation significantly influence the performance of employees at the Cinta Maju Community Health Center in the Belangpegayon District. This research is of the associative type, with the population of the study being all employees of the Cinta Maju Community Health Center in the Belangpegayon District, totaling 40 employees. The sample used is saturated sampling, meaning all 40 individuals in the population are taken as samples. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on hypothesis testing, the results of this study are as follows: leadership style influences employee performance, compensation influences employee performance, and leadership style and compensation together influence employee performance

Abstract

The problem formulation in this research is whether there is an influence of work motivation and work environment on the job satisfaction of employees PT. Hijau Priyan Perdana. This research aims to find out how work motivation and work environment influence the job satisfaction of employees PT. Hijau Priyan Perdana. The data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The sample in this research consisted of 35 employees. The analytical technique used is the quantitative method. The results of this research indicate that the Work Motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on Employee Job Satisfaction  at  PT.  Hijau  Priyan  Perdana.  The  Work  Environment  variables  have  a positive and significant effect on Employee Job Satisfaction at PT. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know and analyze the effect of teacher competence and work motivation on teacher performance at Wira Jaya Tanjung Morawa Private Vocational School. The population and sample in this study were 30 people. Data collection techniques used interviews, questionnaires, documentation studies, and literature studies.  The data analysis techniques used are data quality tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear analysis and hypothesis tests. The results of this study show that partially (t-test) Teacher Competence has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Wira Jaya Tanjung Morawa Private Vocational Teachers, and Work Motivation has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Wira Jaya Tanjung Morawa Private Vocational Teachers. The results of simultaneous significant testing (F-test) of Teacher Competence and Work Motivation have a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Teachers of Private Vocational Schools Wira Jaya Tanjung Morawa. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam mengelola kelas di madrasah. Menggunakan metode survei kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 11 guru PAI yang diuji pengetahuannya melalui kuesioner mengenai berbagai aspek pengelolaan kelas, termasuk tingkah laku siswa, masalah kelompok, reaksi negatif kelas, serta pengaturan sarana dan tindakan korektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola kelas dengan tingkat pemahaman yang rendah pada beberapa aspek kritis; yaitu 63,63% tidak mampu mengenali tingkah laku siswa yang menunjukkan kekuasaan, 72,72% tidak dapat membedakan masalah individual dan kelompok, dan 81,81% tidak memahami reaksi negatif kelas terhadap anggota tertentu. Selain itu, 72,72% guru kurang memahami pengaturan sarana pembelajaran, dan 63,63% tidak mengetahui cara mengatasi pelanggaran disiplin. Kemampuan dalam menerapkan tindakan korektif dan penyembuhan juga menunjukkan kekurangan, dengan tingkat ketidakpahaman masing-masing 90,90% dan 54,54%. Temuan ini menyoroti perlunya pengembangan profesional yang lebih terfokus untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam aspek-aspek pengelolaan kelas yang kritis guna memperbaiki efektivitas proses belajar mengajar di madrasah

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas hasil kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Sadabuan, Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Utara, Kota Padangsidimpuan. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM masyarakat melalui pendekatan multidimensional yang mencakup bidang pendidikan, lingkungan hidup dan kesehatan, pelayanan masyarakat, pemerintahan kelurahan, kesenian dan olahraga, serta sosial dan budaya. Di bidang pendidikan, program ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan akademik anak-anak dan membentuk karakter melalui berbagai metode pengajaran di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) dan kegiatan kunjungan rumah. Di bidang lingkungan hidup dan kesehatan, inisiatif pembersihan lingkungan dan pembuatan apotik hidup meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kebersihan dan kesehatan. Pelayanan masyarakat menunjukkan pencapaian dalam membangun hubungan harmonis antara mahasiswa dan warga melalui diskusi, bimbingan, dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial. Dukungan dari pemerintah kelurahan juga memperkuat integrasi program dengan kebijakan lokal. Kegiatan seni seperti "poda nalima" menggabungkan prinsip lingkungan dengan budaya lokal, sementara pemahaman mendalam tentang sosial dan budaya mempererat hubungan antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dan memperkuat kemitraan antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat, menunjukkan potensi besar dari pendekatan kolaboratif dalam pengembangan komunitas

Abstract

The Muslim community from Champa in Cambodia was initially welcomed by the ruling Khmer king. The primary ethnic groups among the Champa refugees were the Chams and Malays, who later formed a distinct Muslim community in Cambodia. The process of Islamization in Cambodia differs from other countries, as it was influenced by the migration of the Champa people following the Vietnamese expansion. Although Cambodia was not a major trading hub, it was a significant rice producer before the collapse of the Champa Kingdom in the 15th century, and had long-standing trade and cultural ties with the Malays. This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic da'wah (propagation) among the Cham community in Cambodia and to evaluate the challenges and opportunities in spreading Islam in the region. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the da'wah strategy in the Cham community focuses on cultural and social integration, with preachers adapting their messages to align with local customs and traditions. This approach has been effective in fostering positive relationships and improving religious understanding. However, challenges such as language barriers, limited resources, and resistance to change persist. The study emphasizes the need for innovative and context-sensitive da'wah strategies, as well as adequate training and support for preachers. In conclusion, the Islamic da'wah strategy in Cambodian Cham society requires continuous adaptation to overcome challenges and leverage opportunities.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas program edukasi dalam mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba dan praktik judi online di kalangan siswa Madrasah Aliyah Al Maksum, yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Sidodadi, Kecamatan Kisaran Barat. Program ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai dampak negatif narkoba dan judi online, serta membentuk sikap dan perilaku yang lebih bijaksana dalam menghadapi kedua permasalahan tersebut. Program pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif siswa, guru, dan komunitas sekolah dalam setiap tahap pelaksanaan. Metode ini dirancang untuk memastikan bahwa semua pihak terlibat dalam mengidentifikasi masalah, merancang solusi, dan mengevaluasi hasil. Secara keseluruhan, program edukasi Madrasah Aliyah Al Maksum Sidodadi Kisaran tentang cara menghindari penggunaan narkoba dan perjudian online dapat dianggap berhasil dalam mencapai tujuannya. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa, tetapi juga mengubah cara mereka berpikir dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk menangani kesulitan di masa depan. Hasil ini menunjukkan betapa pentingnya pendekatan edukasi yang holistik, yang tidak hanya mengajar tetapi juga mengajarkan orang untuk berperilaku positif dan sehat. Namun, dampak positif ini harus dipertahankan, dengan dukungan dari sekolah, keluarga, dan komunitas secara keseluruhan. Dengan demikian, siswa dapat terus mendapatkan dukungan yang mereka butuhkan untuk menghindari narkoba dan perjudian online serta tumbuh menjadi generasi muda yang sehat, produktif, dan berkontribusi positif bagi masyarakat.
