Abstract

The title of this research is The Practice of Underage Marriage in Kenagarian Bawan, Ampek Nagari District, Agam Regency, West Sumatera. The background of this research problem is based on Article 7 paragraph 1 of Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage which states that "marriage is only permitted if the male party has reached the age of 19 years and the female has reached the age of 16 years, while in Nagari Bawas, Ampek Nagari Sub-district, Agam Regency, many people ignore this provision. The purpose of this study was to see the form of implementation and the factors causing the practice of underage marriage in Kenagarian Bawan, as well as the actions taken by religious leaders, traditional leaders and KUA officials. This type of research is empirical legal research or legal sociology. That is an approach by looking at a legal reality in society. The sociology of law approach is an approach used to look at legal aspects in social interactions in society. Data taken from interviews with the Head of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) and parties involved in the practice of underage marriage. The results showed that the practice of underage marriage in Kenagarian Bawan was only carried out in front of the local Tuanku, not in front of the Marriage Registrar, in the sense that this marriage was an illegal/unofficial marriage according to the Positive Law of Indonesia. There are three contributing factors, namely: pregnancy factors, educational factors and economic factors. Actions taken by religious leaders, traditional leaders and KUA officials are in the form of socialization and counseling to the community.

Abstract

This article provides an analytical study of the legal reasoning and arguments underpinning the DSN-MUI fatwa that permits Hajj financing through debt and financing schemes. Utilizing a descriptive literature review, the study traces relevant fatwas and examines their sharia bases, particularly the principles of maqasid al-shari'ah such as al-ibāhah (permissibility) and manhaj al-taysir (the approach of ease). The research aims to explore how this fatwa adapts to modern economic contexts while preserving core sharia principles, particularly regarding the reinterpretation of istitha’ah (capability). Findings demonstrate that the fatwa is fundamentally supported by a paradigm oriented toward achieving maslahat (benefit) and dar’ al-mafsad (avoidance of harm), emphasizing justice and accessibility for Muslim communities seeking to perform Hajj via sharia-compliant financing. This study offers in-depth insights into the legal construction and foundational sharia principles used by DSN-MUI, contributing critical perspectives on the social and economic implications of debt-based Hajj financing for scholars, Islamic finance practitioners, and policymakers.

Abstract

Science and social studies (IPAS) learning in elementary schools still faces challenges, particularly in improving students’ learning outcomes on plant reproduction topics that require conceptual understanding through real experiences. Conventional teaching approaches often limit student engagement and hinder the connection between scientific concepts and real-world phenomena. This study aimed to examine the effect of implementing a Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with field trips on IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 22 Banda Aceh, as well as to analyze students’ responses to the learning model. This research employed a quantitative approach using a one group pretest–posttest experimental design. The participants consisted of 29 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis included the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results indicated a significant difference between students’ learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the PjBL model integrated with field trips (p < 0.05). The N-Gain results showed a moderate level of improvement in learning outcomes. Furthermore, students’ responses to the learning model were categorized as good, indicating increased interest, motivation, and understanding through project-based and experiential learning activities outside the classroom. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi tantangan, khususnya dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perkembangbiakan tumbuhan yang menuntut pemahaman konsep melalui pengalaman nyata. Pembelajaran yang cenderung konvensional menyebabkan siswa kurang terlibat aktif dan sulit mengaitkan konsep dengan fenomena di lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis fieldtrip terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 22 Banda Aceh serta respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen one group pretest–posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 29 siswa kelas IVB. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi, dan angket respon siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk, uji-t berpasangan, serta uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model PjBL berbasis fieldtrip. Peningkatan hasil belajar ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan skor pretest dan posttest yang signifikan secara statistik (p < 0,05) dengan nilai N-Gain berada pada kategori sedang. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran berada pada kategori baik, yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa merasa tertarik, termotivasi, dan terbantu dalam memahami materi melalui kegiatan proyek dan pembelajaran di luar kelas.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital leadership in strengthening institutional competitiveness within higher education institutions. The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged universities to integrate digital systems into academic governance and service delivery, requiring leadership that is capable of guiding digital transformation strategically and responsibly. This research aims to explore how digital leadership contributes to institutional development through the understanding of digitalization, the implementation of digital strategies within the Tri Dharma of higher education, and the ethical governance of digital technologies. A qualitative case study approach was employed at IAIN Lhokseumawe to gain an in-depth understanding of leadership practices related to digital transformation. The findings reveal that leadership awareness of digitalization plays a crucial role in shaping institutional policies and strategies for the development of digital platforms. Digital initiatives have been integrated into various academic activities, including learning management, research administration, and community engagement programs. In addition, ethical leadership emerges as an important element in ensuring that digital technologies are implemented in a manner that emphasizes transparency, accountability, and equitable access. These findings highlight that digital leadership serves as a strategic mechanism for improving institutional coordination, enhancing academic services, and supporting the competitiveness of higher education institutions in an increasingly digital academic environment.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the meaning of the lyrics yā layl yā laylī in the song kalām ‘aynīh through Julia Kristeva’s semiotic analysis. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing written data in the form of the song lyrics of kalām ‘aynīh and netizen comments from several TikTok accounts. The data collection technique applied in this study is a note-taking and reading technique through a literature review. The data are analyzed through the stages of identification, application, analysis, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the genotext is understood as an inner process encompassing feelings of love, longing, and emotional experiences, which are then expressed through the song lyrics, while the phenotext is manifested in the lyrics of Kalam Eineh that function to convey the meaning of the genotext. At the level of signification, the lyrics yā layl yā laylī signify longing for the presence of the beloved, whereas at the level of signifiance they convey an idealized specification of the female figure. Intertextually, the lyrics yā layl yā laylī represent longing for one’s beloved. Thus, the interpretation of the lyrics yā layl yā laylī provides an explanation for the shift in meaning that occurs in kalām ‘aynīh has interpreted by TikTok users in Indonesia, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive and contextual understanding of song lyrics so that the meanings received remain grounded in the original text.

Abstract

This developmental study aims to design an interactive tool using Articulate Storyline based on a contextual approach to enhance the reading skills of seventh-grade students at MTsN 1 Banda Aceh. The researcher adopted an instructional development model consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The process began with field observation and problem diagnosis, followed by consultations with experts to obtain appropriate modifications and suggestions. The experts’ evaluation results indicated that the design quality reached 95.8%, while the quality of style and content was 90%, suggesting that the educational product is highly valid for use in teaching reading. Furthermore, a paired-sample t-test showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.00, which is below the significance level of 0.05, indicating the effectiveness of the developed interactive tool in improving reading skills and leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis in favor of the alternative hypothesis. Students’ responses to the interactive tool were very positive, with a mean score of 32.52 (81.3%), classified as “very good,” demonstrating the tool’s contribution to enhancing students’ motivation toward learning reading skills and improving their comprehension of the texts.

Abstract

Abst This study aims to analyze the effect of self-potential on the job prospects of FTIK IAIN Lhokseumawe students in the context of human resource development. Self-potential is understood as an individual's internal capacity, which includes self-confidence, motivation, personal skills, adaptability, and work readiness, which play an important role in increasing the competitiveness of college graduates in the workforce. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The research population consists of 70 FTIK IAIN Lhokseumawe graduates who have entered the workforce, all of whom were sampled using total sampling techniques. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that self-potential has a positive and significant effect on students' job prospects. This finding confirms that self-potential is a strategic factor in human resource management and development, especially during the transition stage from education to the workforce. The novelty of this study lies in the positioning of self-potential as the main internal variable that independently influences students' job prospects in the context of Islamic religious universities.The implications of this study indicate that universities need to integrate self-development into their student management policies and programs in order to improve the employability and competitiveness of graduates.racts should be written in Indonesian using Times New Roman font size 11 with single spacing. The length should range from 150 to 250 words and presented in one paragraph. The abstract should summarize the main aspects of the study, including the purpose, methods, findings, novelty, and implications. The abstract should clearly demonstrate the contribution of the study to advancing knowledge in the field of psychology.

Abstract

This study examines school strategies in shaping students’ religious, disciplinary, and environmental care character in elementary education. Employing a qualitative descriptive research approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 012 Candirejo. The findings indicate that character education strategies are implemented through systematic planning, integration of character values into learning activities, consistent enforcement of school regulations, and daily habituation practices. Key activities such as religious routines, discipline enforcement, environmental care programs, and teacher role modeling significantly contribute to the internalization of character values among students. Supporting factors include strong school leadership, teacher consistency, and a supportive school culture, while inhibiting factors involve variations in students’ behavioral readiness and limited external support. This study concludes that structured, school-based character education strategies are effective in fostering students’ character development at the elementary level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh intensitas membaca jurnal ilmiah terhadap keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Medan dengan menggunakan metode mixed methods. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner kepada 64 responden serta wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, dan regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang digunakan valid dan reliabel (Cronbach’s Alpha 0,802) serta data berdistribusi normal. Analisis regresi menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara intensitas membaca dan keterampilan menulis akademik (sig. 0,000 < 0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 32,1% (R² = 0,321). Temuan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa membaca jurnal ilmiah membantu mahasiswa memahami struktur penulisan dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, meskipun masih terdapat kendala dalam penggunaan bahasa dan pemahaman metodologi. Oleh karena itu, kebiasaan membaca jurnal ilmiah perlu ditingkatkan.
