Abstract

Health problems are a major problem in developing countries, including Indonesia. The Community Health Center (Puskesmas) is a first-level health service facility that organizes and coordinates promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and/or palliative health services in its working area. The purpose of this study is to understand the function of Puskesmas management in assessing the performance of Puskesmas in the working area of the Mantup Puskesmas. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research, the location of the study is the Mantup Puskesmas, Mantup District, Lamongan Regency, the informants in this study were the head of the Puskesmas, the person in charge of cluster 1, the person in charge of cluster 2, the person in charge of cluster 3, the person in charge of cluster 4 and the person in charge of cross-cluster Puskesmas Mantup. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation and document searches, data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of the research for planning at the Mantup Puskesmas have been implemented well. Organizational efforts have been suboptimal, as some sub-health centers only have midwives as regional supervisors. Implementation is suboptimal due to limited staffing at sub-health centers. Supervision at Mantup Health Center has been functioning well and is being implemented regularly, but performance data is not yet available.Timely input into the existing application, considering the large number of applications that must be completed by service officers and program implementers at the Mantup Community Health Center. Suggestions included establishing a regional development team at the Assistant Community Health Center to optimize village activities, advising the Health Office on integrating health service applications at the Community Health Center, and innovations to improve Community Health Center performance.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are critical indicators in assessing the quality of public health services. In 2024, both MMR and IMR in Lamongan Regency remained relatively high, indicating the need for strengthened health interventions. Health workers, especially midwives, play a vital role in improving maternal and child health. One of the government’s strategies to reduce maternal and infant mortality is expanding midwife service coverage at primary health facilities and ensuring the presence of village midwives as the frontline providers across the region. Village midwives are expected to meet established service standards to ensure the quality of maternal and child health care. Service effectiveness and efficiency are commonly measured through indicators such as first antenatal visit coverage (K1), fourth antenatal visit coverage (K4), postpartum visit coverage (KF3), and delivery assistance by health workers. However, in Lamongan Regency, the performance of village midwives has not been optimal, with several indicators falling short of set performance targets. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the quality of work life and the performance of village midwives in Lamongan Regency in 2025. The research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design. The study population comprised all village midwives in Lamongan Regency, with a sample of 80 respondents selected randomly. The independent variable in this study was the quality of work life, while the dependent variable was village midwife performance. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square statistical test. The results showed no significant relationship between the quality of work life and the performance of village midwives in Lamongan Regency in 2025. These findings suggest that other factors beyond work life quality may influence midwives’ performance.

Abstract

Higher education plays a crucial role in shaping future generations’ environmental awareness and actions. This study examines whether common university strategies, such green curriculum, green campaigns, and financial rewards, effectively encourage students’ pro-environmental behavior. Using survey data from 124 accounting students at a private university in Surabaya, Indonesia, we applied Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the relationships among these variables. The findings suggest that both green curriculum and green campaigns show positive yet statistically insignificant effects on students’ pro-environmental behavior. It indicates that exposure to sustainability concepts and awareness initiatives alone do not guarantee behavioral change. In contrast, financial rewards demonstrate a strong and significant positive effect. It means that tangible incentives can effectively motivate students to adopt and maintain eco-friendly habits. These results highlight the importance of combining intrinsic and extrinsic motivators, as well as embedding sustainability values into campus culture through practical engagement and institutional support. We believe that our study contributes to the ongoing debate on sustainability education by showing that well-designed reward systems can encourage pro-environmental behavior.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Financial Literacy on Consumptive Behavior among students, with PayLater Usage as an intervening variable and Self-Control as a moderating variable. The rapid adoption of digital credit services, such as PayLater, has reshaped consumption patterns, particularly among young users, by promoting convenience and flexible payment options. This research aims to understand how financial literacy and self-control interact to influence students’ consumption behavior through PayLater usage. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a sample of 100 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa, the study finds that Financial Literacy has a positive influence on both PayLater Usage and Consumptive Behavior. Interestingly, while financial literacy is generally expected to mitigate consumptive tendencies, it indirectly contributes to impulsive spending by encouraging the use of PayLater. PayLater Usage is identified as an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between Financial Literacy and Consumptive Behavior, highlighting the role of convenience and perceived purchasing power in promoting consumption. Moreover, Self-Control negatively moderates the relationship between PayLater Usage and Consumptive Behavior, indicating that students with high self-control are less likely to exhibit impulsive spending despite using PayLater.

Abstract

The construction of airports in Indonesia's border areas has a strategic role in supporting connectivity and economic development in border areas. This study uses survey methods and interviews from several respondents in the district of Anambas Islands, Riau Islands Province. Several findings related to the challenges and prospects of airport development in the border area have a positive impact on the community on the border, especially in the Riau Islands Where this area is almost 96% consisting of interview data which shows that 90% feel the benefits and 10% provide input for the next development, making the essence of the airport in the border area very much needed. However, the question is still how sustainable the airport development is. Whether it is completed with the operation of an airport or is it still being developed to continue to provide benefits to the community as the main target.

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of patient safety in surgical procedures and the influencing factors. Patient safety becomes the primary focus, particularly within the scope of the operating room. Several crucial factors that contribute to maintaining patient safety include the operating room environment, staff participation, safety protocols, and communication among surgical team members. Nineteen journals have been analyzed by the researcher to identify determinants of patient safety within the surgical operating room. The analysis results from this literature review reveal that factors such as safety culture, effective communication among surgical teams, and the physical conditions of the operating room significantly impact patient safety. The significance of medical team skills, implementation of safety protocols, and the use of checklists have proven to reduce the risk of errors in surgical procedures. Conversely, occurrences of surgical wound infections, medical equipment failures, and lack of communication among medical teams can jeopardize patient safety.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of employee training and technology investment on employee performance productivity, with income inequality as a moderating variable, in the Indonesian manufacturing sector. The research method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data analysis from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019–2023. The research sample includes medium and large-scale manufacturing companies, selected through stratified random sampling techniques based on provinces for proportional representation. Data were analyzed using moderated regression. The results of the study indicate that employee training has no significant effect on employee performance productivity. Meanwhile, technology investment has a negative effect if not accompanied by proper management. Income inequality is shown to moderate the relationship between independent and dependent variables in a complex manner, but income inequality weakens the positive effect of employee training but strengthens the relationship between technology investment and productivity. The implication of this study is the importance of synergy between employee training, adoption of technology investment, and management of income inequality distribution to optimally increase employee performance productivity.
