Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of solidarity buying on the economic resilience of street vendors' families during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Determination of the subject using purposive to be determined according to the purpose of the study. The subjects in this study amounted to 5 street vendors in Kotabumi, North Lampung. The technique of collecting data is semi-structured interview. Data analysis technique with steps of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Testing the validity of the data using data triangulation. The results of the ta'awun-based Solidarity buying research were able to increase the income of street vendors during the pandemic. The income of street vendors can increase not only from the profit of buying and selling but from the ta'awun of buyers who often overspend or give alms. Ta'awun really helps street vendors in setting aside money to pay debts. Ta'awun Muhammadiyah activities in North Lampung during the pandemic also helped fulfill the food needs of street vendors, namely the distribution of free basic-necessities to street vendors.

Abstract

“Matematika adalah bahasa simbolis yang maknanya bersifat universal” (Siagian, 2017). Menurut Simamora (2014), “secara etimologis matematika bersumber dari kata yunani mathematike yang berarti bertalian dengan pengetahuan. Jadi, berdasarkan kata asalnya istilah matematika berarti pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan belajar”. Matematika termasuk salah satu cabang ilmu pengetahuan yang memegang peranan penting pada perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu bagi disiplin ilmu lain serta perkembangan matematika itu sendiri. Hal itu senada dengan peran penting matematika yang dikemukakan oleh Khotimah (2019) bahwa matematika dikenal luas sebagai alat penting untuk sains, teknologi, perdagangan dan untuk masuk ke banyak profesi.

Abstract

This research is aim to find out the difficulties of concept and principle experienced by students in solving story problems of a system of linear equations two variables class x in SMK Muhammadiyah Kotabumi and the factors that cause students to experience these difficulties. The method used in this study is a descriptive method in the form of a case study. The subjects used in this study were several students of class x. The instrument used was a written test in the form of an essay. From the data analysis,it is known that the difficulties and the factors causing the difficulties experienced by student. Diifficulty assuming variable terms, difficulty converting story problems into mathematical sentences, difficulty performing operations with elimination and substitusion methods, difficulty operating addition and subtraction, difficulty converting variable replacement values into interrogative sentences. Abstract

This study is meant to describe: (a) Difficulty in learning mathematics in eleventh grade, (b) the reasons behind those difficulty faced by the students eleventh grade, (c) Teachers' efforts to overcome the difficulties of learning mathematics in eleventh grade, (d) Large The level of difficulty in learning mathematics experienced by eleventh graders. This type of research is a type of qualitative research. Difficulties experienced by students are difficulty understanding concepts, difficulties in skills, and difficulties in solving problems Data collection methods used were interview and test methods. Research shows that: (1) Difficulty understanding concepts, difficulties in skills, and difficulties in solving problems. (2) The causes of those difficulty in learning comes from social, emotional, and intellectual of students themselves. (3) Teacher's efforts to overcome learning difficulties by holding remedial. (4) The level of learning difficulties of students included in the category is very difficult. It is hoped that the teacher can overcome student learning difficulties. So that students' difficulties in learning mathematics are slightly overcome.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties of class X students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kotabumi in studying Mathematics in the Linear Program material. The type and approach in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques in this study were tests, observations, questionnaires, while for data processing the percentage formula was P = f/n x 100%. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the difficulties of students in class X SMK Muhammadiyah Kotabumi in Linear Program material are the lack of understanding of students in understanding the concept of Linear Programs, often using formulas incorrectly and still confused in making a mathematical model, as well as the teacher's habit of learning mathematics in a different way. , just take notes on the blackboard, then students lack the desire to complete the sample questions given by the teacher. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis is proven true that there are learning difficulties in mathematics lessons in the Linear Program material for class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kotabumi.

Abstract

Kesulitan dalam pemecahan word-problem perbandingan dialami karena proses representasi yang tidak tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kasus representasi grounded-abstrak pada pemecahan word-problem perbandingan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Kasus yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah kasus kolektif. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah Peneliti, word-problem perbandingan, rubrik indikator, lembar validasi, buku catatan dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah proses representasi yang terbagi dua dalam pemecahan word-problem perbandingan, yaitu kategori proses representasi itu adalah proses representasi grounded ke representasi abstrak dan proses representasi abstrak ke representasi grounded. Kesimpulan penelitian ini terdapat empat karakteristik proses representasi grounded-abstrak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan bagi dosen untuk membelajarkan berbagi bentuk representasi matematis sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan representasinya. Difficulties in solving word-comparison problems are experienced due to improper representation processes. This study aims to examine the case of grounded-abstract representation in solving word-problem comparisons. This research is a qualitative-research with the type of case study. The case studied in this study is a collective case. The research subjects were two mathematics education students who had studied comparative studies. The research instrument is the researcher, word-problem comparison, indicator rubric, validation sheet, notebook and interview guide. The result of this research is the representation process that categorized into two in solving word-problem comparison, which are grounded representation processes to abstract representations and abstract representation processes to grounded representations. The conclusion of this study is there are four characteristics of the grounded-abstract representation process. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for lecturers to teach various forms of mathematical representation so that students can develop their representational abilities.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kelayakan bahan ajar berbasis data covid-19 untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan mahasiswa Muhammadiyah terhadap hoaks, dan (2) capaian pembelajaran mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi terkait kewaspadaan terhadap hoaks. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R & D) dengan model  pengembangan Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi sehingga hanya menggunakan 7 tahap saja. Prosedur pengembangan dalam penelitian ini mencakup: : (1) observasi dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan desain produk, (3) pengembangan desain produk, (4) validasi desain produk, (5) perbaikan desain, (6) uji coba awal dan (7) revisi produk. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa: pedoman wawancara, lembar validasi, angket tanggapan pengguna, serta tes kewaspadaam terhadap hoaks. Subjek penelitian pada tahap pengumpulan data adalah 12 mahasiswa sedangkan pada tahap ujicoba awal produk adalah 24 mahasiswa semester 3 prodi Pendidikan Matematika yang sedang menempuh matakuliah Statistika. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan  pendekatan: (1) deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mengolah data skor dari penilaian ahli dan respon mahasiswa terhadap tes kewaspadaan terhadap hoaks, sedangkan (2) deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan data berupa: (a) komentar saran perbaikan dari ahli pada saat proses validasi serta (b) hasil wawancara pada saat melakukan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Bahan ajar berbasis data covid-19 berbentuk video yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dengan kategori penilaian sangat baik; dan 2) Capaian pembelajaran mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi terkait kewaspadaan terhadap hoaks cukup baik.Kata kunci: Bahan Ajar; Covid-19; Hoaks; Video dan Waspada AbstractThis study aims to determine: 1) the feasibility of Covid-19 data-based teaching materials to increase awareness of Muhammadiyah students against hoaxes, and (2) the learning outcomes of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University students regarding awareness of hoaxes. This study uses the Research & Development (R & D) method with the modified Borg & Gall development model so that it only uses 7 stages. The development procedure in this study includes: (1) observation and information collection, (2) product design planning, (3) product design development, (4) product design validation, (5) design improvement, (6) initial trial and error. (7) product revision. The instruments used in this study were: interview guides, validation sheets, user response questionnaires, and tests for hoax alerts. The research subjects at the data collection stage were 12 students while at the initial trial stage the product was 24 students in the 3rd semester of Mathematics Education study program who were taking Statistics courses. Data analysis techniques in this study used the following approaches: (1) quantitative descriptive to process score data from expert assessments and student responses to the hoax awareness test, while (2) qualitative descriptive to describe data in the form of: (a) comments on suggestions for improvement from experts during the validation process and (b) the results of interviews during observations. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Covid-19 data-based teaching materials in the form of videos developed are suitable for use with very good assessment categories; and 2) The learning achievement of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University students regarding awareness of hoaxes is quite good.Keywords: Alert; Covid-19; Hoax; Teaching materials; and Video

Abstract

Critical thinking is the ability should be owned by the students. However, the facts shows that critical thinking which found is still low. It can be seen from the quality of questions and answers in the process of teaching and learning. Scaffolding is one of learnings which can imrpove students’ critical thinking in mathematic subject. Scaffolding consist of environtment provisions, explaining, reviewing dan restructuring, also development conceptual thinking. There are several scaffolding technique which can be used; (1) modeling of desired behaviors, offering explanations, inviting student participation, verifying and clarifying student understandings, inviting students to contribute clues; (2) scaffolding which emphasize on the use of socratic and open-ended questions.

Abstract

Pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) sudah dikenal dan diaplikasikan sejak lama melalui program yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Terbuka maupun oleh beberapa universitas lainnya. Pelaksanaannya dengan cara pembelajaran melalui modul dan mahasiswa dilakukan ujian diakhir semester secara langsung atau luring. Akan tetapi, semenjak diakhir tahun 2019 dengan adanya wabah covid-19, pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh menjadi keharusan bagi sekolah maupun perguruan tinggi. Implementasi pembelajaran jarak jauh di era covid-19 sangat jauh berbeda dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh yag diterapkan oleh Universitas Terbuka saat itu. Pembeleajaran jarak jauh saat ini dilakukan melalui jaringan internet atau yang biasa disebut dengan pembelajaran daring. Untuk menunjang pelaksanaan tersebut, dosen, mahasiswa, guru, maupun siswa dituntut untuk menguasai penggunaan aplikasi yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran daring, misalnya zoom, google meet, whatsshap, dan beberapa aplikasi lainnya. Untuk itu, program studi pendidikan matematika STKIP Bima mengadakan sosialisasi penggunaan aplikasi PJJ dan pengembangan bahan ajar yang diikuti oleh dosen, guru, dan mahasiswa yang dilaksanakan secara online melalui kegiatan webinar. Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 74 orang peserta yang terdiri dari dosen, guru, dan mahasiswa. Implikasi dari kegiatan tersebut adalah peserta mendapat pengetahuan penggunaan aplikasi PJJ dan dapat menerapkan dalam proses pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bahan ajar teori bilangan berbantu macromedia flash yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dalam meyelesaikan soal-soal non rutin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development yang meliputi tahapan, Penelitian Pendahuluan guna analisis kebutuhan, Fase Prototipe yaitu desain produk, kemudian Tahap Penilaian dengan proses validasi dan praktis dilanjutkan dengan revisi produk, tahapan berikutnya adalah ujicoba produk, revisi produk, dan produk akhir. Setelah proses validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli bahasa serta uji respon mahasiswa terkait kepraktisan, menunjukkan bahwa produk buku ajar teori bilangan berbantu macromedia flash yang dikembangkan terkategori “cukup baik” dan dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil analisis data kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dengan menggunakan instrumen soal non rutin menunjukkan bahwa banyaknya mahasiswa yang mendapatkan hasil belajar diatas kategori cukup sebanyak 86,67%. Kesimpulannya bahan ajar teori bilangan berbantu macromedia flash layak untuk diguanakan dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dalam meyelesaikan soal-soal non rutin
