Abstract

Physics is an important part of the science curriculum at both the high school and college levels. Physics learning requires students to master abstract theoretical concepts, so it is not uncommon for these theoretical concepts to be difficult for learners to perceive. Abstract concepts in physics learning can be overcome through practical activities in concrete laboratories or virtual laboratories. This study aims to produce virtual laboratory media based on HTML 5 Canvas and Javascript programs packaged in Graphical User Interface (GUI) format in terms of experts, practicioners, and students. The research method used is research and development (R&D), using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The subjects were conducted in second-years physic students which consisted of 8 students (small group test) and in class XI high school students which consisted of 20 students (large group test). The instrument used were interview sheets, documentation, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that virtual laboratory media was valid with a CVI score of 0,87 and reliable with a Percentage of Agreement score of 85,95% based on experts and practitioners judgment. In addition, based on the results of the practicality test for students, the test results were in the very practical category with a practicality score of 86,4% and 88,6% respectively for small group test and large group test. So it can be concluded that virtual laboratory media can be used to support physic learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenanaman pengetahuan dan pendidikan karakter saat ini sangat penting untuk mendorong rasa keperdulian siswa dalam menjaga lingkungan terutama di lingkungan tempat mereka belajar. Salah satu progrm pendidikan lingkungan adalah program Adiwiyata dimana mendorong kesadaran warga sekolah terhadap pentingnya rasa tanggung jawab, gotong royong, merawat dan menjaga lingkungan sekolah. Terdapat banyak problem mengenai lingkungan sekolah,sehingga dengan adanya program Adiwiyata yang dilakukan ini dapat membentuk dan meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi edukasi, sabtu bersih, lomba kebersihan kelas, memilah sampah organik dan non organik di sekolah SMPN 2 PRAYA TIMUR. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakanmulai tanggal 11 Agustus 2023yang diawali dengan proses koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah, observasi lingkungan, penyusunan jadwal, sosialisasi materi, pelaksanaan sosialisasi, pemantuan, penilaian indikator keberhasilan, evaluasi, serta refleksi yang dilakukan dengan pengamatan warga sekolah dalam melaksanakan program Adiwiyata. Kegiatan ini terlaksana dengan baik, tertib, dan lancar, serta berhasil memperlihatkan peran warga sekolah dalam menjaga, memelihara dan merawat lingkungan sekolah. Selanjutnya siswa dapat mengembangkan dan menumbuhkan karakter tanggung jawab, mandiri, gotongroyong, dan perduli terhadap lingkungan sekolahnya. Kata kunci: sosialisasi; program adiwiyata; nilai karakter. ABSTRACTPlanting knowledge and character education is currently very important to encourage students' sense of care in protecting the environment, especially the environment where they learn. One of the environmental education programs is Adiwiyata, its encourages school community awareness of the importance of a sense of responsibility, mutual cooperation, caring for and protecting the school environment. There are many problems regarding the school environment, so the Adiwiyata program carried out can shape and improve the character of environmental care. This activity was carried out in the form of educational socialization, clean Saturday, class hygiene competition, sorting organic and non-organic waste at SMPN 2 PRAYA TIMUR school. This activity was carried out on August 11, 2023 activities began with a coordination process with the school, environmental observation, schedule preparation, material socialization, socialization implementation, monitoring, success indicators, evaluation, and reflection carried out by observing school residents in implementing Adiwiyata schools. This activity was carried out so well, orderly and smoothly, and succeeded in showing the role of school residents in protecting, maintaining and caring for the school environment through this Adiwiyata education program. Furthermore, students can develop and foster the character of responsibility, independence, mutual cooperation and care for the school environment. Keywords: socialization; adiwiyata program; character values.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) dalam menghadapi Uji Kompetensi Pendidikan Profesi Guru (UKPPPG) cukup kompleks. Banyak peserta yang belum memahami secara mendalam prosedur, materi ujian, serta strategi pelaksanaan, sehingga menimbulkan rasa cemas dan kurang percaya diri. Rendahnya pemahaman teknis terkait penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, pembuatan video pembelajaran, dan laporan studi kasus juga menjadi hambatan utama. Kondisi ini berpotensi mengurangi tingkat kelulusan dan berdampak pada kualitas guru profesional di Indonesia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kesiapan dan pengetahuan mahasiswa PPG dalam menghadapi UKPPPG melalui bimbingan teknis (bimtek) yang terstruktur. Mitra sasaran adalah mahasiswa PPG Guru Tertentu Tahap III Tahun 2025 bidang studi PGSD, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 52 orang. Metode pelaksanaan berupa bimtek daring melalui platform Zoom, yang mencakup ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan angket pretest-posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan peserta, dengan proporsi kategori “Baik” meningkat dari 50% menjadi 73,68% pada kelompok perempuan dan dari 64,28% menjadi 92,86% pada kelompok laki-laki. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bimtek efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa PPG menghadapi UKPPPG

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of sodium hypochlorite addition on the tensile strength of bioplastics derived from giant taro tuber starch (Alocasia macrorrhizos). The research employed an experimental method with variations in sodium hypochlorite addition of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. Bioplastic samples were prepared through starch extraction, followed by mixing with sodium hypochlorite, glycerol, and water, and subsequently tested for tensile strength using a tensile testing machine. The results revealed that the highest tensile strength value, 1300 N/m², was achieved in the sample containing 40% sodium hypochlorite, satisfying the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). It is concluded that increasing the percentage of sodium hypochlorite positively affects the tensile strength of the resulting bioplastic.

Abstract

AbstrakPelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah merupakan langkah penting dalam mendukung pengembangan profesionalisme guru, khususnya untuk memenuhi persyaratan kenaikan jabatan fungsional. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diselenggarakan di MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah yang layak publikasi. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh para guru yang diharapkan dapat menghasilkan artikel yang sesuai dengan standar jurnal ilmiah dan memiliki kontribusi bagi bidang pendidikan. Metode pelatihan mencakup sesi teori tentang struktur artikel ilmiah, teknik penulisan yang efektif, serta proses publikasi. Selain itu, sesi praktik memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta untuk menulis dan mendapatkan umpan balik dari para fasilitator. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah, serta menumbuhkan motivasi untuk aktif berkontribusi dalam publikasi ilmiah. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini, diharapkan para guru dapat lebih mudah mencapai persyaratan jabatan fungsional dan terus berperan dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan pendidikan. Kata kunci: pelatihan; artikel ilmiah; jabatan fungsional AbstractScientific Article Writing Training is an important step in supporting the professional development of teachers, particularly in meeting the requirements for functional position promotion. This training was held at MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang with the aim of enhancing teachers’ understanding and skills in writing publishable scientific articles. The training was attended by teachers who were expected to produce articles that meet scientific journal standards and contribute to the field of education. The training methods included theoretical sessions on the structure of scientific articles, effective writing techniques, and the publication process. In addition, practical sessions provided participants with the opportunity to write and receive feedback from facilitators. The results of the training showed an improvement in teachers’ understanding and ability to write scientific articles, as well as increased motivation to actively contribute to scientific publications. Through this training, it is hoped that teachers will be better able to meet the requirements for functional promotion and continue to play a role in the advancement of science and education. Keywords: trining; scientific article; academic rank

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran melalui memberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz dan pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran berbantuan AI (Artificial Intelligence) Chat GPT. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah dengan menggunakan metode pelaksanaan antara lain: 1) Tahap observasi, pada tahap ini dilakukan survey lokasi, survey masalah yang dialami sekolah, dan pendataan guru yang akan diikut sertakan, 2) Tahap Pra Pelatihan, pada tahap ini guru diberikan penyuluhan terkait aplikasi yang digunakan dan cara membuat akunnya, 3) Tahap Pelatihan, pada tahap ini guru diberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berupa Quizizz dengan menggunakan AI (Artificial Intelligence) 4) Tahap Diskusi, pada tahap ini tim pengabdian dan guru saling berdiskusi terkait kesulitan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran, 5) Tahap Evaluasi, tim pengabdian memeriksa hasil media pembelajaran berupa yang sudah dibuat oleh guru. Hasil yang ingin dicapai dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: 1) menambah wawasan dan keterampilan pembuatan media pembelajaran  kepada guru-guru SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, 2) Media pembelajaran quizyz dengan  menggunakan AI (Artificial Intelligence) yang menjadi bank media pembelajaran bagi guru-guru, 3) Pembuatan Perangkat pembelajaran dengan bantuan chatGPT. Kegiatan pengabdian berjalan dengan sukses dengan indikator kehadiran guru dalam kegiatan selama 2 hari adalah 100%, tingkat partisipasi dalam diskusi dan pertanyaan 97%, pemahaman guru dalam penggunaan aplikasi quizyz dan chat GPT sebesar 81%. Kata kunci: artificial inteligence; chat GPT; quizizz Abstract This community service activity aims to improve teachers' skills in creating learning media by providing training on creating learning media using the Quizizz application and creating AI (Artificial Intelligence) Chat GPT-assisted learning tools. This community service was carried out at SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah using the following implementation methods: 1) Observation stage, in which a location survey, a survey of problems experienced by the school, and data collection on teachers to be included were conducted, 2) Pre-training stage, in which teachers were given guidance on the applications used and how to create accounts, 3) Training stage, in which teachers were given training on creating learning media in the form of Quizizz using AI (Artificial Intelligence) 4) Discussion stage, in which the community service team and teachers discussed the difficulties in creating learning media, 5) Evaluation stage, in which the community service team examined the learning media created by the teachers. The desired outcomes of this community service program are: 1) to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers at SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah in creating learning media for use in teaching, 2) to create Quizizz learning media using AI (Artificial Intelligence) as a learning media bank for teachers, 3) to create learning tools with the help of ChatGPT. The community service activity was successful, with indicators showing 100% teacher attendance over the two-day activity, 97% participation in discussions and questions, and 81% teacher understanding in the use of the Quizy and ChatGPT applications. Keywords: artificial inteligence; chat GPT; quizizz.
