Abstract

Learning to write needs to be mastered by students as early as possible, especially in the text-based 2013 curriculum. One of the materials related to the exposition text is found in the syllabus of the Indonesian language subject for class VIII, in learning media is needed that is able to arouse students' enthusiasm. The problem studied in this study is how the influence of youtube media in learning to write student exposition texts. This study aims to determine the effect of youtube media in learning to write exposition texts for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. The use of youtube media is expected to make it easier for students to understand the material and be able to write exposition texts. This research is a quantitative experiment. With one group pre-test and post-test design. The researcher used random sampling technique in determining the sample so that class VIII-10 students became the sample in this study. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. The technique of collecting data in this study used an exposition text writing test. Data on students' exposition text writing activities in the study were obtained through pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the average score of students before using the youtube learning media (pre-test) is categorized with a value of 41.1 and the average value after using the youtube learning model (post-test) is categorized as good with a value of 73,06, then the results of the average value of the pre-test and post-test can be seen that there is a difference in the average value before (pre-test) and after using youtube learning media on the ability to write exposition texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test data analysis, it was obtained tcount (16,732) , then compared tcount with ttable with degrees of freedom N-1 = 29 with the number of N=30 and the significant level = 0.05, it was obtained ttablel =1, 699. So, tcount (16,732) > ttable (1, 699) which means that there is a difference in the average value before using youtube learning media and after using youtube learning media. Thus Ho is rejected. With the rejection of Ho then Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference in the skills of writing exposition texts for class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar students using youtube learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the ability to write anecdotal texts before using the problem solving learning model in class X SMK-1 Private Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. (2) The ability to write anecdotal texts after using problem solving learning models in class X SMK-1 Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private. (3) The effect of the problem solving model on the ability to write anecdotal texts in class X SMK-1 Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private. The method used in this research is a quantitative-experimental research method. The type of experimental research used in this study was pre-experimental designs, the research design used in this study was a one group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study include: (1) The results of the initial test ability (pre-test) in the skills of writing anecdotal texts in class X SMK-1 Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private before applying the problem solving learning model obtained an average value of 37.72. From the results (pre-test) it was obtained that the students' ability to write anecdotal texts had not reached the KKM target of 70. (2) The results of the final test (post-test) skills in writing anecdotal texts in class X SMK-1 Private Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar After applying the problem solving learning model, the average value was 72.12. From the results (post-test) it was obtained that the students' ability in writing anecdotal texts had reached the KKM target of 70. (3) The analysis that has been carried out and has been tested statistically is that tcount is greater than ttable (5.07 > 1.69) causing H0 to be rejected and Ha to be accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of problem solving learning model on the ability to write anecdotal texts in class X SMK-1 Private Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

The diversity of reading methods does not mean that learning activities must use in various ways. Using a plan that suits the material and needs involves using multiple techniques. This research aimed to obtain the ability to read argumentation texts by students of SMA Negeri 1 Dolok Panribuan using the SQ4R method. The research method used is the experimental method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Dolok Panribuan. In particular, the research was carried out in class X. The empirical research design was a group pre-test and post-test design. The research instrument used to obtain data is by using a test. The study results mean that the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class before being given less/low treatment and after being given treatment using the SQ4R method increased. This indicates an increase in student learning outcomes after being given treatment. This study aims to improve students' reading skills in understanding argumentation texts and applying the SQ4R method to other texts or discourses.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the semiotic elements contained in the poems "The Meaning of a Custody" and "The Poor" by WS Rendra and to describe the semiotic meaning contained in the poems "The Meaning of a Custody" and "People Poor” by WS Rendra. Based on the semiotic analysis of the poem "The Meaning of a Custody" by W.S. Rendra, there are language styles such as Climax, Rhetoric, Association, Anticlimax, Personification and Irony. Based on the semiotic analysis of the poem "The Poor" by W.S. Rendra, there are language styles such as Rhetoric, Association, Anticlimax, Personification and Irony. Semiotics the poem "The Meaning of a Custody" tells about something that a person has is just a deposit or a gift from God, so it needs to be grateful and don't be arrogant, while the poem "The Poor" tells Rendra describing the condition of poor people who are very concerned.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know: 1) describe positive attitudes and negative attitudes the of regional languages in the simalungun Batak Family kinship. (2) describe the factors that influence positive attitude and negative attitude indonesian usage and simalungun language in family kinship nagori bosi sinombah. AS for type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative or non experimental, because in this study did not do control and manipulate research variables. Qualitative descriptive method is used to get word or action, quaalittive description not giving treatment, manipulation or independent variable change, but describes the condition as it is describe the object under study. This method is accompanied by analytical activities. The results of this study include: 1) There are positive and negative attitudes in Simalungun language towards family kinship in the nagori bosi sinombah, 2) about the factors that influence the family’s Indonesian attitude Bosi sinombah consicts of two factors, namely internal factors and ecternal factors. First, on internal factors,there are there is nationalis ntionl language contact on statement 18,educational factors on statements 18 and 19,factors of work of economic status that affect the attitude of speaking simalungunan and Indonesian in the family Nagoro Bosi Sinombah is found in statements 16 and 17. The emigration factor is contained in the statement 15. External factors, the ethnic identity factor is found in the statement 6,7,8,9,10,there are factors in the use of regional languages on the respondent’s answer statement 2 and 13, the bonding factor with traditional culture is found in the statement 13. Researchers see that family Bosi Sinombah has experienced developments in tearms of education and this affects the language attitude of the family Nagori Bosi sinombah Dolok Silau District Simalungun Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud frasa endosentris pada tajuk rencanasurat kabar harian kompas tanggal 01 sampai 05 april 2022 dan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud frasa eksosentris pada tajuk rencanasurat kabar kompas harian tanggal 01 sampai 05 april 2022. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif, penelitian deskriptif sasaran kajiannya adalah pola-pola yang berlaku dan merupakan prinsip-prinsip yang secara umum mendasar serta menyolok berdasarkan atas kehidupan manusia. Penelitian kualitatif adalah penelitian yang menghasilkan prosedur analisis yang tidak menggunakan prosedur analisis statistik atau cara kuantifikasi lainnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada tajuk rencana surat kabar harian kompas tanggal 01 sampai 05 april 2022 dalam análisis frasa berdasarkan kesetaraan distribusinya terdapat 9 frasa keseluruhan, 3 frasa endosentris yang dibagi atas frasa koordinatif, frasa apositif dan frasa atributif sedangkan pada frasa eksosentris terdapat 6 frasa yang terbagi atas frasa verbal, frasa adjektival, frasa nominal, frasa pronominal, frasa adverbial, dan frasa numeralia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui apa tema pada novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. (2) Mengetahui bagaimana alur pada novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. (3) Mengetahui siapa saja tokoh pada novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. (4) Mengetahui bagaimana latar pada novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. (5) Mengetahui apa dan bagaimana gaya bahasa pada novel “Hijau”karya Agnes Jessica. (6) Mengetahui bagaiamana sudut pandang pengarang pada novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. (7) Mengetahui bagaimana amanat yang terdapat pada novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. Adapun Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif karena data penelitian dideskriptifkan melihat kenyataan sesungguhnya yaitu dalam bentuk tulisan dan diperoleh pembahasan secara objektif dan mendalam tentang Analisis unsur-unsur intrinsik novel “Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi: (1) Tema yang terdapat dalam novel “ Hijau” karya Agnes Jessica yaitu Perjuangan yang tak abis-abisnya demi mewujudkan mimpi dan cita-cita yang sangat mulia. (2) Alur atau plot yang terdapat dalam novel “ Hijau” Karya Agnes Jesica merupakan alur campuran. (3) Tokoh dan penokohan terdapat sembilan belas tokoh dan memiliki penokohan yang sama dengan penokohan protagonis. (4) Latar yang terdapat pada novel “ Hijau” Karya Agnes Jesica memiliki latar yang berbeda-beda, adapun latar waktu yaitu malam, pagi, siang hari, dan sore .sedangkan latar suasana yaitu sedih, bahagia , senang dan menyedihkan dan latar tempat yaitu Dusun karang Mulyo, Pemakaman Desa, Stasiun, Rumah sakit, Gereja, Apartemen , Mall, Dusun Kecil. (5) Sudut Pandang yang terdapat pada novel “ Hijau “ Karya Agnes Jesica adalah sudut pandang orang ketiga dan sudut pandang orang pertama. (6) Gaya bahasa yang terdapat pada novel “ Hijau” Karya Agnes Jesica adalah majas simile, majas sinisme, majas hiperbola, majas asosiasi, amjas repetisi, amjas metonimia dan majas metafora. (7) Amanat yang terdapat pada novel “ Hijau “ Karya Agnes Jesica adalah Hendaklah kita memiliki iman dan keyakinan kepada Tuhan untuk mewujudkan cita-cita dan harapan kita dalam kehidupan kita.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the expressive approach to the novel "Cantik Itu Luka" by Eka Kurniawan. The analysis in this study is the novel "Cantik Itu Luka" by Eka Kurniawan. The formulation of the problem discussed in this study is how the novel "Beautiful Is a Wound" is analyzed with an expressive approach. This study used qualitative descriptive methods to collect data conducted using the recording technique method. Based on the data collection method used, the data will be analyzed by reading the novel, understanding the content of the novel carefully, looking for imagination, emotions, expressing the author's ideas and psychology, and then collecting them into one data according to their classification. . The data in this study is in the form of text in the novel that shows the author's expressiveness. The results of this study found the form of the author's expression in the novel "Cantik Itu Luka" by Eka Kurniawan, namely how the author can show his expression.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik wujud campur kode dan alih kode pada masyarakat tutur antara pedagang dan pembeli sayur dan buah di pasar Tanah Jawa, Kecamatan Tanah Jawa, Kabupaten Simalungun dan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode dan alih kode tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif yaitu, mendeskripsikan karakteristik wujud campur kode dan wujud alih kode, serta mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode dan alih kode pada masyarakat tutur antara pedagang dan pembeli sayur dan buah di pasar Tanah Jawa, Kecamatan Tanah Jawa, Kabupaten Simalungun. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simak, dengan menggunakan teknik dasar pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap. Hasil analisis karakteristik campur kode dan alih kode pada masyarakat tutur antara pedangan buah dan pembeli di pasar Tanah Jawa, Kecamatan Tanah Jawa, Kabupaten Simalungun (1) Karakteristik wujud campur kode adalah campur kode ke dalam (Inner code-mixing) yaitu antara bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Batak Toba dan Bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Jawa (2) Faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode (a) identifikasi peranan, (b) identifikasi ragam dan, (c) keinginan untuk menjelaskan dan menafsirkan. (3) Karakteristik wujud alih kode adalah yang bersifat intern (ke dalam) yaitu antara bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Batak Toba, dan bahasa Jawa ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. (4) Faktor penyebab terjadinya alih kode yaitu penutur dan lawan tutur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik sebelum dan setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik sebelum dan setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ekperimen dengan jenis quasi eksperimental menggunakan desain The One-Grup Pretest-Posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik dengan sampel yang digunakan siswa kelas X A4 dengan jumlah 36 siswa. Penarikan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Cluster Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik tes yang diperoleh dari kegiatan menulis puisi siswa. Kegiatan menulis dalam penelitian ini melalui tahap pretest dan posttest.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan hasil hipotesis yang diuji dalam penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil menulis puisi siswa sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Think Talk Write. Hasil penilaian menulis puisi siswa pada pretest atau sebelum diterapkannya model pembelajaran mencapai rata-rata 60,44. pada kategori cukup. Hasil penilaian menulis puisi siswa pada posttest atau setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Think Talk Write terjadi peningkatan mencapai 74,30 pada kategori baik, maka dari itu berdasarkan hasil prettest dan posttest terdapat perbedaan hasil keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write. Berdasarkan analisis data keterampilan menulis puisi siswa pada pretest dan posttest maka diperoleh thitung = -10,38 pada taraf signifikan 0,05 (tingkat kepercayaan 95 %) pada df= 35 diperoleh ttabel = 2,031. Maka thitung =-10,38> ttabel = 2,0315, sehingga dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada keterampilan menulis puisi siswa sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write.
