Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of using STEM-based video learning media on improving the scientific literacy of slow-learning 7th-grade students at SMPIT Daarussallam regarding the solar system topic. Low scientific literacy among slow learners poses a challenge in science education, particularly with the solar system topic, which involves abstract concepts that are difficult to grasp through conventional teaching methods. Therefore, there is a need for learning media capable of presenting concepts visually, concretely, and contextually, in alignment with the students' learning characteristics. This study employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The study population consists of all nine slow-learning 7th-grade students at SMPIT Daarussallam during the 2025/2026 academic year; a total sampling technique was used, meaning the entire population served as the research sample. The research instrument was a scientific literacy test on the solar system, administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and the Paired Sample t-Test. The results indicate that the average pretest score of 46.33 increased to 86.56 in the posttest. The Paired Sample t-Test results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (<0.05), demonstrating a significant improvement in scientific literacy following the implementation of the STEM-based video learning media. Thus, STEM-based video learning media is effective for enhancing the scientific literacy of slow-learning students regarding the solar system by presenting concepts in a manner that is more concrete, engaging, and suited to the students' learning needs.

Abstract

The concept of happiness is an important process for every living being. Happiness is when someone feels satisfied with what they do, feels happy when they are with someone, and they are happy when they get praise. This research is to find out the meaning of happiness of the Yogyakarta Palace's Abdi Dalem Community. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the happiness of the indigenous people of the Yogyakarta palace. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach conducted in the Yogyakarta palace from September to November 2023. Information was obtained using interview techniques with subjects who served the Yogyakarta palace. The data analysis carried out in this study is a qualitative data analysis in which the data analyzed is all the data encountered in the field, used miles and Huberman interactive data by carrying out data reduction. then proceed with the presentation of data and end with drawing conclusions on the results of the research that has been carried out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran fonik eksplisit berbantuan komik dekodabel pada siswa yang mengalami kesulitan membaca di sekolah dasar inklusif dan (2) menganalisis peningkatan akurasi membaca siswa setelah diberikan intervensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) berdasarkan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2025/2026 di kelas V SDN 005 Rantau Pulung, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, Indonesia. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua siswa kelas V yang mengalami kesulitan membaca dan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes membaca nyaring (running record), observasi kelas, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan penelitian diperkuat melalui validitas isi dan validitas ekologis. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan persentase akurasi membaca, skor peningkatan (gain score), dan analisis noise, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran fonik eksplisit berbantuan komik dekodabel secara substansial meningkatkan akurasi membaca kedua subjek. Akurasi membaca siswa ARS meningkat dari 55% menjadi 100%, sedangkan siswa REN meningkat dari 35% menjadi 95%. Peningkatan tersebut disertai dengan berkurangnya kesalahan dekoding, meningkatnya partisipasi dan kepercayaan diri dalam membaca, serta perubahan strategi membaca dari menebak kata berdasarkan tampilan visual menjadi penggunaan strategi dekoding fonologis yang lebih sistematis. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran fonik eksplisit berbantuan komik dekodabel efektif sebagai intervensi untuk meningkatkan akurasi membaca siswa yang mengalami kesulitan membaca dalam konteks sekolah dasar inklusif.

Abstract

Perceptions and factors that make marriages qualified are differ from one region to another. This study aimed to describe the quality and examine the factors that determinants the quality of Javanese marriage, namely: gender, marriage age, number of children and monthly financing. A total of 579 Javanese husbands and wives from Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Banyumas, and Pekalongan involved in this research. Data were collected by a multistage random sampling technique, using the instrument of marriage quality, and analyzed descriptively and inferential. The results of this study indicate that most of the quality of Javanese marriages is classified as high, especially in the quality of well-being, while on the quality relationship between husband and wife, most of the Javanese people are in the medium category. It is no difference in the marital quality between husbands and wives. The marital quality as a whole is influenced by the number of children and monthly financing, as well as at the quality of relations between husband and wife. The quality of the well-being of husband and wife is not only influenced by the number of children and monthly financing but also the age of marriage.
