Abstract

Sekolah merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang wajib menyediakan fasilitas pembelajaran guna menunjang keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar. Fasilitas yang lengkap dan memadai akan meningkatkan kualitas aktivitas belajar mengajar, mencapai tingkat keefektifan dan keoptimalan yang lebih baik. Keterbatasan fasilitas dapat berdampak pada prestasi belajar siswa, menyebabkan hasil yang diperoleh tidak maksimal atau bahkan tidak sesuai dengan harapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan meninjau pengaruh yang diberikan dari persepsi siswa mengenai kelengkapan bengkel pada hasil belajar dalam Dasar Pembelajaran Teknik Mesin kepada siswa program Teknik Permesinan di SMKN 5 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, di mana penerapannya dilakukan setelah terjadinya suatu peristiwa. Dengan menganalisis data historis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dan mungkin menjadi penyebab peritiwa tersebut. Oleh karena itu, metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini ialah model ex-post facto research. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya hubungan dan pengaruh positif antara tingkat kelengkapan bengkel dan hasil belajar dalam Dasar Pembelajaran Teknik Mesin, dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 1,103. Koefisien regresi ini menggambarkan sejauhmana perubahan yang dapat diharapkan dalam hasil belajar siswa sebagai akibat dari lengkapnya fasilitas bengkel sekolah. Dalam analisis data ditemukan bahwa koefisien dterminasi adalah sebanyak 0,270. Terlihat bahwa kelengkapan workshop memberikan partisipasi sekitar 27% pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa lengkap dan memadainya fasilitas bengkel dapat meningkatkan pencapaian hasil belajar siswa serta memberikan kontribusi pada peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran di SMK Negeri 5 Padang.

Abstract

The learning process in the classroom is the main key to the success of education, so the learning model applied by the teacher is important. This study aims to increase student learning activities in NC/CNC and CAM Machining Engineering subjects through the application of project based learning learning models, this is because the learning model applied by teachers has not varied which has an impact on declining student learning activities. This study uses the method of classroom action research (classroom action research). The subjects of this study were students of class XI TM 2, totaling 20 people. This research was conducted in May-June 2022. The instrument of this research used student learning activity observation sheets, with the acquisition of student learning activity results set at least 80% with good categories. The results of the first cycle of observations showed an average student learning activity of 69.94 % and in cycle 2 the average student learning activity is 81.14%. The increase in learning activities in cycle 1 and cycle 2 was 11.19%. The indicator of research success has been achieved in cycle 2 as evidenced by the acquisition of student learning activity results of 81.14%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the project based learning model can improve student learning activities. The implication of this research is that it has an impact on learning NC/CNC and CAM Machining Techniques, which before the implementation of student learning activities were still low, after being implemented it was proven to increase student learning activities.

Abstract

Due to undeveloped critical and creative thinking skills, many students do not achieve academic standards. This is indicated by grades that show that most students fail to meet the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), with a KKM score of 75. The purpose of this study is to determine how effective AR (Augmented Reality) lathe learning is on critical thinking skills and student creativity at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. Quasai Experimental Design quantitative method is used in this study to determine whether or not there is a difference in the subject to be studied. To do this, researchers examine treatment differences in other subjects under controlled conditions. Based on research conducted on the results of the post-test only for critical thinking and creativity of 30 students who took part in the learning, it was found that; critical thinking of students in the application of Augmented Reality media totaling 15 students with average analysis results can be seen from the average value of critical thinking of experimental class students 80.47 and control class 73.07. Student creativity in the application of AR lathe learning media totaling 15 students with an average analysis result of 65.07% in the good category. So it can be concluded that the use of AR lathe learning media at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra states critical thinking and good student creativity.

Abstract

HIRARC is a series of processes to identify hazards, assess risks, and control risks in work activities. In the context of this research, the author analyzes the safety risks in the machining engineering workshop of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang using the HIRARC method. This method aims to prevent and reduce workplace accidents and control risks appropriately. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data sources include primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques involve field observations, interviews, and analysis of standard operating procedure documents in the machining engineering program of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang. The results show that the level of safety risk in the machining engineering workshop of SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang is at a low level based on the HIRARC method. The risk analysis helps identify potential hazards, assess related risks, and design risk control measures to create a safer working environment.

Abstract

The surface roughness quality of machining product plays important role when it contacted with other machine components. That quality depends on several parameters setting, such as material, cutting tool, cutting condition and operator skill. The aim of this study is to obtain the optimum setting of turning parameters by using Taguchi method. Three control factors: cutting speed, depth of cut, and feeding at three different levels are selected. A series CNC turning process on AISI 1045 material were performed using L9 (3)3 orthogonal array with cutting fluid. Insert carbide cutting tool is used in the experiment. In order to reveal the optimum machining parameter, smaller the better is quality characteristic selected for surface roughness examination of workpiece. Analysis of experiment results revealed that higher cutting speed, low feed, low depth of cut respectively, provides fine surface quality of machined workpiece. Moreover, feed f parameter was found most influence to the surface rougness quality with 53.73% contribution, cutting speed v provides 23.28% contribution, and depth of cut a provides 17.87% contribution. Confirmation experiment shows that level 3 of cutting speed, level 2 of cutting depth, and level 1 of feed deliver smoothest machined surface of Ra 0,46 µm.

Abstract

The corn harvesting tractor is one of the innovations in agricultural technology. However, there is a problem where the harvesting blade is broken and wears out quickly. One of the factors causing the problem is the angle of inclination of the blade. The smaller the angle of inclination of the blade, the sharper it is but the risk of being easily broken and worn out. For this reason, it is necessary to test the value of the blade slope which has a good strength value. Before this knife is made directly, it is necessary to design and simulate the strength of the blade with a variety of angles. Experimental testing requires expensive costs and a lot of time. The simulation carried out is a static simulation with the finite element method in the solidwork application with AISI 1045 material and 87.05 N force load. The blade with an angle of 310 is the best angle with the maximum value of stress at the connection of the shaft and knife with a value of 20.664 MPa and the displacement results are at a maximum value of 0.018 mm.

Abstract

Banjir bandang (galodo) yang sering terjadi di Sumatera Barat, khususnya di Nagari Batipuh Baruah, Kecamatan Batipuh, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, telah menyebabkan kerusakan infrastruktur, tempat tinggal, fasilitas umum, dan lahan pertanian, sehingga berdampak pada kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat. Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) melaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat untuk membantu pemulihan lingkungan dan sosial pascabencana. Kegiatan ini melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa, dan organisasi kemahasiswaan, dengan metode pembersihan fasilitas umum, aliran sungai, tempat ibadah, serta penyaluran bantuan logistik melalui pendekatan gotong royong. Hasil kegiatan meliputi pemulihan rumah warga, lahan pertanian, dan fasilitas umum, yang berkontribusi terhadap percepatan rehabilitasi. Program ini juga memperkuat hubungan antara perguruan tinggi dan masyarakat. Publikasi kegiatan di media turut mendukung citra positif UNP sebagai institusi peduli kemanusiaan. Disarankan pembentukan tim tanggap bencana yang lebih terorganisir untuk efektivitas penanganan di masa depan

Abstract

This technology is one of the technologies that is widely used in the industrial sector, especially large industries and the automotive industry. Automotive products, machine components and household appliances are widely made using this metal casting method. Metal casting is a technique in applying a product design or making machine products/components, motorbikes and others. Metal Casting Technology is something new for teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittingi. This community service activity was initiated to upgrade teacher skills in understanding metal technology to teachers at Vocational High Schools so that the skills they have are more developed in designing 3-dimensional objects and realizing them in the form of real products. It is hoped that through the training given to teachers at SMK, they can stimulate creative ideas in drawing techniques using CAD software and realizing them in the form of automotive component products. This Metal Casting Workshop is also a Downstream of research that has been carried out with previous funding. Thus, this activity is very relevant to the research results and partner needs, so that the achievements and benefits generated, in addition, the service that will be carried out is also an official request from SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. In general, the activity went smoothly and achieved the goals set in this community service activity

Abstract

Teknologi 3D printing telah menjadi inovasi penting dalam berbagai bidang, terutama dengan penggunaan material ramah lingkungan seperti Polylactic Acid (PLA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi kecepatan ekstrusi pada proses 3D printing terhadap kekuatan tarik dan kekuatan lentur (bending) hasil cetakan PLA. Metode eksperimen digunakan dengan variabel bebas berupa kecepatan cetak (40, 45, 50, 55, dan 60 mm/s) dan parameter tetap seperti suhu nozzle (210°C), suhu meja (60°C), ketebalan lapisan (0,2 mm), dan bentuk infill (triangle). Pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium Manufaktur Universitas Negeri Padang pada 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan cetak optimal untuk kekuatan tarik tertinggi adalah 45 mm/s, sedangkan untuk kekuatan lentur terbaik tercapai pada kecepatan 50 mm/s. Data menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan cetak yang terlalu tinggi dapat menurunkan kekuatan tarik akibat lemahnya adhesi antar lapisan, sedangkan pada uji lentur, material menunjukkan performa yang baik bahkan pada kecepatan lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kecepatan cetak optimal untuk meningkatkan kualitas cetakan PLA dalam aplikasi industri dan prototipe.

Abstract

Salah satu alternatif dalam pembuatan komposit adalah dengan menggunakan serbuk kayu meranti dan serat tandan kosong kelapa sawit yang tidak dapat di gunakan lagi dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembuatan komposit dengan resin epoxy sebagai matrik. Pengujian ini di lakukan dengan menguji komposit uji tarik dan uji impak, dengan variasi spesimen resin epoxy 70 % dan serbuk kayu meranti / tandan kosong kelapa sawit 0/30, 10/20, 15/15, 20/10, 30/0 dan 100 % resin epoxy. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk bahan asesoris seperti bemper mobil. Pembuatan spesimen dan prosedur pengujian yang mengacu pada ASTM D 638 Tipe 1 untuk tarik dan ASTM D 5942-96 untuk impak. Hasil dari pengujian tarik dan impak menunjukan kekuatan dari uji tarik yang terbesar adalah 35.575 MPa dengan variasi campuran 100% resin epoxy sedangkan kekuatan terendah untuk uji tarik adalah 13.89 MPa dengan variasi campuran 70% resin + 20 meranti + 10 % TKKS. dan ketangguhan impak yang terbesar adalah 0.28173 J/mm2 untuk variasi campuran 70 % resin + 15% meranti + 15% TKKS sedangkan kekuatan terendah untuk uji impact adalah 0,15695 J/mm2 untuk variasi campuran 70 % resin + 20% meranti + 10 % TKKS.
