Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi yang dimiliki Desa Mengesta, dan strategi pengembangan potensi Desa Mengesta sebagai desa wisata berbasis ekowisata. Penelitian ini tergolong pada jenis penelitian deskriptif dan SWOT analysis. Hasil penelitian ini adalah potensi atraksi wisata alam yaitu areal persawahan dan perkebunan, sistem terasering persawahan, panorama alam pegunungan, sumber air panas dan spiritual; potensi social budaya yaitu berupa keragaman beragama dengan hadirnya 3 agama yaitu Hindu, Kristen Protestan dan Kristen Katolik. Strategi yang dapat dilakukan dalam pengembangan desa wisata melalui program-program antara lain: Pengembangkan dan Peningkatkan daya saing produk dan usaha pariwisata, Peningkatan pangsa pasar pariwisata melalui kegiatan promosi, Peningkatan Kerjasama / Sinergi Multi-Stakeholders Dalam Program Pengembangan Kepariwisataan Desa Mengesta, Pengembangan SDM dan Tenaga Pengelola Kepariwisataan, Peningkatan Pemberdayaan Dalam Keterlibatan Masyarakat.

Abstract

Desa Menanga sebagai salah satu desa yang terletak di jalur wisata di Kecamatan Rendang, Kabupaten Karangasem memiliki potensi sumber daya alam dan manusia yang sangat memadai untuk dikembangan menjadi Desa Wisata. Kondisi kontur tanah Desa Menanga yang memiliki kemiringan dan ketinggian yang beragam, sehingga berdampak pula pada areal persawahan. Hal ini menyebabkan beberapa sisi dari areal persawahan dengan kemiringan cukup terjal, sehingga memberikan pemandangan yang eksotis baik ke arah persawahan maupun ke arah Gunung Agung. Program pengabdian bertujuan untuk memen-uhi komponen- komponen yang diperlukam sebagai desa wisata, yaitu 3A (attractions, amenity dan accommodation). Pada program pengabdian ini, fokus kegiatan adalah pengembangan sumber daya manusia (pelaku wisata) dengan metode pelatihan. Pelatihan dilakukan kepada pemilik warung di sepanjang jalan Desa Adat Batusesa, Desa Menanga dengan topik English for Guiding, teknik presentasi/penyajian kuliner serta promosi produk melalui media sosial. Selain itu, dilakukan pemasangan plang nama penanda area di jalur Desa Adat Batusesa yang diharapkan bisa memberikan penanda bahwa jalur tersebut adalah bagian dari Desa Menanga dan menjadi ikonik bagi Desa Menanga. Hasil yang dicapai adalah adanya peningkatan keterampilan anggota UMKM binaan BUMDes Desa Menanga dalam hal English for Guiding, teknik presentasi kuliner, dan promosi produk melalui media social yang dapat dilihat pada google maps.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of students' core competencies in learning English for Tourism at Tourism Department Politeknik Negeri Bali, where the main product is a green ethical-based measurement instrument for Core Competencies Practices of Problem Solving Skills. Two types of instruments have been created and designed and then used to assess the level of Development in the teaching and learning process for students and lecturers. The results of the Students' Report trial show that overall the instrument is suitable for widespread use. Confirmatory factor analysis results also show the validity of the sub constructs for each main construct. The results of the level of development of Core Competencies show that the minimum development of students' Core Competencies is above 4.2. This means that the development of student Core Competencies has been achieved. For this reason, the Core Competencies development model must maintain to be developed, tested and finally implemented.

Abstract

This research is taken at the district of Gorom Island east Seram in scheme to find out willingness to pay from tourists that visiting maritime tourism in the water Kon island. This research is taken to begin  January antil April 2013. Interview method, documentation, and library study are used in collecting data,  the  result of research will be analyzed by using mean approach that is  quantitative analysis method, beside it used descriptive comparative analysis method that is qualitative analysis method.The result of the analysis, that willingness to pay per-coming is amount Rp. 51.500 and per-year for domestic tourist is amount Rp. 152.667, while for foreign tourist is amount Rp. 248.333. The payment system ought be applied at the area of water Kon island is pe-year system.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to determine the implementation of the marketing to the sales of meeting room in The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. The problem outlined in this research is what strategy to do by the sales & marketing in increasing meeting room sales at The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. Research methods: This research was conducted on the sales & marketing parties that is sales & marketing managers and sales executives at The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. Analysis of the data used a qualitative descriptive analysis that elaborates information from the interviews and links with theories that support the discussion related to the marketing mix conducted by The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. Results and discussion: The results obtained are the marketing mix strategy carried out at The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa, especially in the meeting section, which is quite good, but has a lack of promotion. The strategy implemented to increase sales are also quite effective. Implication: The development that can be done is to increase online and offline promotions and also keep communication between the sales team and consumers. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the implementation the implementation of Green practices and Green hotel concept in Grand Hotel des Alpes, France. It is a descriptive statistic research where questionnaires were distributef to 14 employees in the hotel. The data were collected through observation, document study, literature review, and questionnaires. The result of the study implies that there are aspects that are implemented very appropriately, namely aspects of land use, aspects of energy efficiency, aspects of environmental management, and aspects of operational management. The aspects that are implemented accordingly are aspects of water conservation, aspects of the use of space materials, and aspects of Environmentally Friendly Hotel Operations. The Green practices has been applied appropriately to support the Green hotel concept implementation at Grand Hotel des Alpes, Chamonix, France. Grand Hotel des Alpes has implemented Green practices and Green hotel in line with the Green Hotel Association concept.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out what are strategies in increasing the occupancy rate of the new normal era at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali and to determine the yield management strategy in increasing occupancy rates in the new normal era at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali. Research methods: The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature study. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. This study uses a marketing mix approach with a SWOT analysis using the 7P indicator. Results and discussion: Yield management strategies that can be used to increase room occupancy are expanding market share and working partners with travel agents, increasing promotions based on information technology and utilizing social media, strengthening local culture on products to be sold, providing valet parking for guests, providing technology application training to staff regularly to improve staff quality and performance, creating and developing products according to current trends. Implication: The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali is in a growth stage. Keywords: yield management, room occupancy, new normal, SWOT.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the implementation of green practices that have been implemented and which need to be improved at the FourStar by Trans Hotel restaurant. Green Practice is an action to protect the environment and the resulting product is less damaging to the environment. Restaurants that imple-ment green practice usually focus on reduce, reuse, and recycle as well as energy and efficiency. Research methods: The research data were sourced from participatory interview and observation methods at the research location which were then processed us-ing triangulation techniques. Findings: The results of the study show that the implementation of green practic-es has been implemented properly and adequately in restaurants although there are several indicators of green practice that still need to be improved. Implication: Indicators that need to be maintained include the use of recyclable containers, the use of energy-efficient lighting and the use of a temperature com-fort control system, as well as the installation of signs and policies that need to be implemented, and indicators that need to be improved are educating the pub-lics about green practices in a sustainable manner, Implementing funding for ac-tivities that support environmentally friendly direction and donating organic wastes as the use of animal feed for the community.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the room attendant at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort had implemented green practices and to find out which indicators need to be improved and maintained in implementing green practices. Research methods: This study uses descriptive statistical analysis techniques with data collection methods by means of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The method of determining the informants using purposive sampling method with the number of informants 33 people from room attendant employees. Findings: The room attendant has implemented green practices very appropriately In the implementation of green practices, there are 3 green practices variables with 9 indicators, where in implementing this program there are 2 indicators that need to be improved, namely the first use of reused bed linen in hotel rooms and secondly the use of reused towels in bathrooms. In an effort to improve the 2 indicators of green practices, the author suggests using or multiplying decorative ornaments containing words or writings that ask guests to reuse bed linen and towels in the hotel room. Implication: With the implementation of green practices in room attendants, it is expected to reduce the impact of environmental damage that can be caused by the hotel industry.

Abstract

Desa Menanga merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak pada jalur utama wisata yang sangat strategis sebagai jalur menuju dan dari kawasan Pura Besakih. Pasar Desa Menanga, sebagai salah satu pasar yang sangat strategis yang menjadi pusat perekonomian daerah sekitarnya dan selalu ramai dikunjungi oleh penjual dan konsumen dari daerah lain termasuk yang berasal dari Kabupaten Klungkung dan Kabupaten Bangli. Pada program pengabdian ini, fokus kegiatannya adalah penguatan komunitas lokal (UMKM) dengan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan konten, promosi produk di media sosial dan pemasangan plang nama desa sebagai penanda kawasan di Desa Menanga. Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian ini adalah dengan mengumpulkan para anggota UMKM binaan BUMDES Desa Artha Dharma Duta Menanga, untuk diberikan pelatihan sebagai konten kreator dan melakukan promosi produk di media sosial. Selain itu juga dipasang plang penunjuk arah untuk menandai kawasan di jalur Desa Menanga. Manfaat umum dari program pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan citra Desa Menanga sebagai salah satu desa wisata di kawasan Karangasem. Selain itu, kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat setempat khususnya UMKM di Desa Menanga dalam mempromosikan usahanya di media sosial. Manfaat spesifiknya adalah UMKM yang mendapat pelatihan bisa semakin digemari, yang kemudian mampu menarik konsumen untuk mencoba usahanya dan mempopulerkan Desa Menanga. Hasil dari program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini mendapat respon positif dari UMKM dan Masyarakat Desa Menanga. Para pelaku UMKM antusias mengikuti pelatihan dan mampu aktif dalam kegiatan di media sosial untuk mempromosikan produk usahanya.
