Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia. Conventional interventions often focus on pregnancy and early childhood, showing limited sustainability. Adolescents, as prospective parents, represent a strategic target for sustainable prevention, yet evidence on effective behavior change models for this group remains limited. Methods: This quasi-experimental study adhered to the TREND guideline. Female adolescents (N=120) aged 15-20 years from schools and Islamic boarding schools in Sumenep were randomly assigned to an intervention group (n=60) that received a structured IMB-based program or a control group (n=60) that received standard education. The intervention comprised sessions on information, motivation, and behavioral skills. Dependent variables were knowledge, motivation, and behavior, measured via validated questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Mann-Whitney U tests with significance at p < 0.05 Result: The intervention group showed significant improvements in knowledge (85% good post-test vs. 13.3% pre-test, p < 0.001), motivation (75% high post-test vs. 11.7% pre-test, p < 0.001), and behavior (90% good post-test vs. 11.6% pre-test, p < 0.001). The control group showed no significant changes. Conclusion: The IMB model effectively enhances stunting prevention knowledge, motivation, and behavior among adolescents. It is recommended for integration into adolescent health programs in similar LMIC settings.

Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a major public health problem in coastal areas of Sumenep Regency, Indonesia, with a prevalence of 21.6%, exceeding the provincial average. Government programs such as supplementary feeding (PMT) and deworming have been widely implemented; however, evidence regarding how these interventions interact with maternal characteristics to influence stunting outcomes in coastal populations remains limited. Therefore, an integrated analytical model is needed to clarify the direct and indirect pathways influencing stunting among toddlers in coastal settings Methods: This analytical observational study employed a cross-sectional design and followed the STROBE guideline for cross-sectional studies. The study was conducted from March to September 2025 in two coastal sub-districts of Sumenep Regency (Batang-batang and Dungkek). A total of 352 mothers with toddlers were selected using stratified random sampling. Inclusion criteria were mothers with children under five years of age who were not suffering from severe illness and consented to participate, while exclusion criteria included absenteeism during data collection. Independent variables included maternal education, maternal knowledge, child sex, child age, supplementary feeding, deworming, and exclusive breastfeeding, while the dependent variable was stunting incidence. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS version 4, applying a significance level of 5%. Result: SEM-PLS analysis showed that supplementary feeding had the strongest direct effect on stunting incidence (β = 0.438; t = 11.173; p < 0.001). Deworming (β = 0.111; t = 2.925; p = 0.004) and maternal education (β = 0.457; t = 11.480; p < 0.001) also had significant direct effects. Maternal education indirectly influenced stunting through supplementary feeding and deworming pathways, while maternal knowledge influenced exclusive breastfeeding but did not show an indirect association with stunting. A total of nine significant structural paths were retained in the final model. Conclusion: Supplementary feeding is the most influential intervention in reducing stunting among toddlers in coastal areas, supported by deworming and maternal education. An integrated stunting reduction strategy combining regular supplementary feeding, routine deworming, and maternal education strengthening is recommended, particularly for vulnerable coastal populations. These findings provide a clear evidence-based framework to optimize program convergence for stunting prevention.

Abstract

Kejaksaan has various special fields, one of which is the field of Evidence and Confiscated Goods. This field has the task of managing data and storing evidence of cases, but the existing data management process is still not effective because data management is still done manually. In the process of searching for evidence, there are often obstacles in finding the required evidence, either for the needs of the trial or to be returned to the rightful owner of the evidence. To solve the existing problems, the design of an evidence data management information system in which there are several features supporting work activities will solve the existing problems. The design of this information system uses a prototype model which includes analysis of user needs, interface design and interface display testing. With the design of an information system for managing evidence data, it has facilitated the performance of the prosecutor's staff, especially in the field of Evidence and Confiscated Goods, in managing existing evidence.

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia remains relatively high. One contributing factor is the low level of knowledge among pregnant women and their families regarding recognizing pregnancy danger signs and preparing for Potential adverse outcomes. The Childbirth Planning and Complication Prevention (P4K) program is a government initiative designed to lower maternal mortality by empowering communities, especially health cadres. This community service initiative seeks to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of integrated health post cadres in implementing P4K through participatory educational approaches. The activity was carried out at the Posyandu within the Jrangoan Community Health Center working area and involved 25 participants. Based on the pre-test and post-test findings, there was an improvement in the cadres' knowledge regarding the importance of educational activities. Before the education, 40% of respondents were in the poor category, while after the education, this figure increased to 20%. There were 28% of respondents before the education, and after the education, this figure increased to 44%. These results demonstrate that educational interventions effectively support the successful implementation of the P4K program at the community level. Continuous active involvement of participants and the provision of adequate resources, especially for cadres, can encourage the creation of a more informative and proactive approach in efforts to improve maternal and child health. Therefore, strengthening the role of cadres is an important factor in preventing childbirth complications.

Abstract

School-related Content Knowledge (SRCK) encompasses profession-specific content knowledge essential for teaching secondary mathematics and bridging the gap between university and school mathematics. Preparing preservice teachers with this knowledge is vital for effective teaching. This study explores the perceptions and performance of preservice mathematics teachers regarding SRCK tasks. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, the research involved twenty third-semester preservice mathematics teachers selected through convenience sampling at a state university in Yogyakarta. Instruments included tests, questionnaires, and interviews to assess SRCK. Data analysis involved content analysis, inductive category formation, thematic categorization, and data triangulation. The findings reveal that preservice mathematics teachers consider SRCK tasks relevant and beneficial for their professional development. However, differences emerge in their evaluation of task relevance and realism, highlighting the need to incorporate more university-level mathematical concepts into SRCK tasks to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Despite recognizing the importance of university mathematics, there is a tendency to rely predominantly on school-level mathematics knowledge. This suggests that teacher preparation programs must address the challenge of mastering more complex university-level concepts to ensure that future educators are adequately prepared to teach advanced mathematical ideas. Varying levels of success in solving SRCK tasks underscore the necessity for a comprehensive integration of university-level mathematical concepts. Such integration aligns with efforts to enhance the relevance of university mathematics education for aspiring teachers. It is recommended that university mathematics be blended with school mathematics and future professional roles to improve conceptual understanding and teaching readiness.
