Abstract

This study is based on the observation of researchers in grade V of UPTD SD Negeri 124398 Pematangsiantar that teachers still use conventional learning models so that students are less involved in the learning process. This causes the learning process to be less than optimal and student learning outcomes do not meet the criteria for achieving learning objectives. From these problems, it is necessary to find solutions, including by implementing the SAVI (Somatic, Audio, Visual, Intellectual) learning model. This learning model can be applied to science subjects because it encourages students to work together and communicate with each other in completing their tasks. This learning model can improve the quality of science learning so that students are more active, creative, and innovative so that learning outcomes improve. This study uses a quantitative method with a Pre-Experiment research type and a One Group Pretest-Posttest research design with a sample of 22 students. Based on the results of the hypothesis test with a significance level of 0.05, the calculated t is 24.159, with a significance level (2-tailed) of 0.000, a probability of significance <0.05, and a calculated t table of 24.159 > 1.717, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. This explanation indicates that the SAVI (Somatic, Audio, Visual, Intellectual) learning model has an effect on the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at the UPTD of SD Negeri 124398 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa secara umum sebagai calon pendidik dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang terintegrasi dengan kearifan lokal. Target kegiatan mencakup empat aspek utama. Pertama, mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep esensial dalam pembelajaran yang dapat disajikan secara lebih efektif melalui media berbasis ICT, dengan indikator minimal 50% materi dapat diimplementasikan. Kedua, terbentuknya kelompok belajar mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan dalam pemanfaatan ICT, dengan target sekurang-kurangnya 75% peserta memiliki pemahaman yang baik dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Ketiga, dihasilkannya produk media pembelajaran yang inovatif, eksploratif, dan kontekstual berbasis kearifan lokal, dengan capaian minimal 80% mahasiswa mampu menguasai dan mengaplikasikan media tersebut. Keempat, terbukanya peluang pengembangan jiwa kewirausahaan melalui produksi media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang bernilai ekonomis. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui metode pendampingan, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang terintegrasi dengan budaya lokal. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam merancang pembelajaran yang inovatif, adaptif, dan kontekstual, serta membentuk calon pendidik yang peka terhadap perkembangan teknologi dan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital flipbook-based learning media on regional economic conditions and determine its feasibility for fifth-grade elementary students. The research was motivated by low student learning interest and the limited use of digital media in IPAS learning. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data were collected through expert validation questionnaires (material, language, and media experts) and responses from teachers and students, analyzed using a Likert scale. The results showed that the developed flipbook media was categorized as very feasible, with material expert validation at 93%, language expert at 91%, and media expert at approximately 93%. Teacher responses reached 92% and student responses 89%, both categorized as very feasible. Therefore, the digital flipbook learning media is suitable as an alternative learning tool in elementary schools.
