Abstract

Setiap tahun lebih dari 200 juta anak kurang dari 5 tahun menunjukkan keterlambatan perkembangan dan 86 persen terjadi di negara berkembang. Sekitar 43 persen anak di negara berkembang dikhawatirkan akan mengalami gangguan perkembangan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengetahui adanya penyimpangan perkembangan bayi dan balita yaitu dengan deteksi dini penyimpangan perkembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan status perkembangan balita di Wilayah Puskesmas Enemawira Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode convenience sampling dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 30 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden termasuk pada kategori memiliki pendidikan tinggi yaitu sebanyak 73.3 persen. Berdasarkan pendapatan keluarga, 60 persen responden termasuk pada kategori keluarga dengan pendapatan rendah. Berdasarkan karakteristik jumlah saudara, maka sebagian besar subjek penelitian tidak memiliki saudara yakni 56.7 persen. Hasil perhitungan KPSP menunjukkan sebagian besar subjek dalam penelitian ini termasuk pada kategori perkembangan meragukan yakni 60 persen. Secara statistik, tingkat pendidikan ibu berhubungan dengan status perkembangan anak p value lebih besar dan sama dengan 0.05. Faktor yang tidak berhubungan dengan status perkembangan anak yakni pendapatan keluarga dan jumlah saudara Every year, more than 200 million children under the age of five experience developmental delays, with developing countries accounting for 86 percent of the cases. Early detection of developmental abnormalities is one effort to discover the existence of developmental abnormalities in infants and toddlers. This study aims to determine the factors related to child development status in the Enemawira Community Health Center, Sangihe. This research was a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling method using convenience sampling with a total sample of 30 respondents The results showed that most of the respondents 73.3 percent belonged to the category of having higher education. Based on family income, 60% of respondents belong to the category of families with low income. Based on the characteristics of the number of siblings, most of the research subjects 56.7 percent did not have siblings. The KPSP calculation results showed that most of the subjects in this study were included in the "doubtful" category 60 percent. The mother's educational level is statistically related to the child's developmental status p value 0.05. while family income and the number of sibling factors were not related to the development of child status, respectively

Abstract

Flipped classroom merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran di mana isi materi dan keterampilan yang biasanya diajarkan selama sesi kelas disampaikan di luar kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran flipped classroom pada materi stokiometri dalam kuliah kimia dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 35 mahasiswa kelas A di program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Negeri Manado (Unima). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dengan memberikan pretest sebelum proses perkuliahan dan posttest setelah proses perkuliahan dilaksanakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa pada pretest adalah 49,33, sedangkan pada posttest meningkat menjadi 87,33. Pengujian N-Gain score menunjukkan skor sebesar 77%, yang masuk dalam kategori efektif dan tinggi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model flipped classroom secara efektif dan signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi stokiometri dalam kuliah kimia dasar di program studi pendidikan matematika Unima.

Abstract

Ikan laut memiliki kandungan gizi yang mampu mencegah dan menjaga kesehatan tubuh. Berbeda dengan ikan yang kaya akan nutrisi, junk food dianggap tidak memiliki nutrisi bagi tubuh, namun makanan ini masih cenderung menjadi pilihan, utamanya di kalangan anak dan remaja. Kegiatan edukasi pada remaja siswa SMK Negeri 1 Tabukan Tengah bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa akan pentingnya mengonsumsi ikan guna peningkatan gizi remaja yang mana alternatif makanannya dapat dengan produk perikanan yakni olahan ikan yang sesuai dengan makanan kekinian remaja. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat terdiri dari: (1) penjajakan dan identifikasi masalah, (2) koordinasi dan persiapan, (3) pelaksanaan kegiatan edukasi, dan (4) evaluasi. Jumlah  responden yang mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian sebanyak 44 siswa, dengan presentase siswa laki-laki 59,09% dan siswa perempuan 40,91%. Sebagian besar responden termasuk pada usia 17 tahun dengan jumlah 17 (38,64%). Berdasarkan perbandingan antara nilai hasil pre-test dan post-test, kegiatan edukasi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman siswa atau N-Gain berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

Kampung Palahanaeng terletak di Kecamatan Tabukan Tengah, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara. Angka prevalensi stunting di kampung ini cukup tinggi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu transfer ilmu pengetahuan dengan mendampingi kelompok PKK Kampung Palahanaeng tentang diversifikasi bakso ikan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat menumbuhkan ide usaha sampingan olahan hasil perikanan. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu audiensi, identifikasi permasalahan, penetapan waktu pelaksanaan, persiapan, pemberian materi, dan evaluasi. Materi edukasi yang diberikan, yaitu 1). Peranan komponen daging ikan (protein dan lemak, bagi manusia); 2). Analisa usaha bakso ikan; dan praktik pembuatan bakso ikan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK tentang manfaat konsumsi ikan bagi perkembangan anak dan ibu hamil. Selain itu, ibu-ibu PKK tertarik menekuni usaha bakso ikan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktik langsung di masyarakat penting dilakukan secara berkala, terutama fokus pada daerah-daerah yang sudah ditetapkan pemerintah daerah sebagai daerah sasaran.

Abstract

Bebalang Village is located in South Manganitu District, Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi. Bebalang Village is surrounded by the sea, so there are many coral reefs as a place for fish to live. Bebalang Village has huge fisheries potential, especially for pelagic fish such as flying fish (Decapterus sp.) with the local name malalugis. Generally, fishermen in Bebalang Village process malalugis fish into salted fish. However, salted fish processing in Bebalang Village still needs to be improved due to a lack of infrastructure, technology, and inadequate knowledge. In addition, sanitation and hygiene during processing could be more optimal, affecting the quality and safety of processed products. This study aims to evaluate the quality of salted fish produced by fishermen in Bebalang Village. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Salted fish test parameters are proximate, salt level, total bacteria and total fungi. Based on the test results of Kampung Bebalang salted fish, the moisture content ranged from 37.31-41.23%; protein ranged from 46.82-50.13%; salt level ranged from 10.66-15.58%; ash content from 12.25-13.58%; total bacteria between 2.6-4.8×103 CFU/gram; and total fungi which ranged from 5.2-9.5×102 CFU/gram.

Abstract

Bulo Village is in South Tabukan, Sangihe Islands, North Sulawesi. One of the potential natural resources of Bulo Village that has yet to be utilized is mangrove leaves. Mangrove leaves can be used in processed food products, such as chips. This community service aims to transfer science and technology to increase the economic value of mangrove plants by diversifying food products in the form of mangrove leaf-based chips. This community service activity was carried out in several stages: 1). Location survey and mangrove species identification; 2). Formation of business groups; 3). training and mentoring in the production of KIPMANG-Mangrove Leaf Chips; 4). Education on simple business analysis of KIPMANG products. The identification results showed that the dominant type of mangrove, Rhizophora sp., grows in the Bulo Village. Kapitalaung recommended that the 12 Bulo community join the mangrove leaf chips business group. The business group can produce and package KIPMANG with original and balado variants. The business group also understands the principles of business analysis of KIPMANG products. This community service activity can increase the knowledge and skills of the Bulo community. It can also improve the economy of the coastal communities of Bulo Village through village-owned business groups.

Abstract

Dry noodles, commonly produced from wheat flour, have been associated with health issues, including obesity, when consumed in excess. Moreover, reliance on imported wheat flour requires local alternatives to enhance its acceptability within the community. This study aimed to evaluate the physical characteristics of dry noodles incorporating a blend of wheat flour, sago flour, and seagrape flour (Caulerpa racemosa). The study involved experimental treatment with varying amounts of added seagrape flour (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 g). Additionally, the study evaluated the proximate composition of seagrape and sago flour was sourced from Sangihe Islands. The physical attributes analysed in the combined dry noodles included the moisture content, water absorption, cooking loss, and cooking time. Proximate analysis of seagrape flour revealed carbohydrate content of 47.83%, protein 19.78%, ash 17.83%, moisture 12.37%, and fat 2.19%. Sago flour had a proximate content of 87.45% carbohydrates, 11.7% moisture, 0.42% protein, 0.32% ash, and 0.11% fat. The moisture content of the combined dry noodles ranged from 6.83 to 7.83%, water absorption from 72.73 to 90.27%, cooking loss from 8.23 to 13.27%, and cooking time from 7.00 to 7.09 minutes. In conclusion, seagrape flour in the formulation influenced the water absorption and cooking loss of dry noodles prepared from wheat and sago flours. However, the combined dry noodles had no significant impact on the moisture content and cooking time.

Abstract

Sea bamboo (Isis hippuris) is one of the octocorallia which is reported to produce unique biological activity and is beneficial for pharmaceutical development. Evaluation of the bioactive compounds of sea bamboo collected from Sulawesi (Celebes) waters has never been reported. Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS) are convenient methods for evaluating bioactive compounds. This study aims to evaluate bioactive compounds from extracts of sea bamboo from Sulawesi by GC-MS method and predict their activity computationally. Samples of sea bamboo were collected from Kabonga Besar Coast, Palu Bay, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Samples were extracted by maceration method using methanol: dichloromethane solvent. GC-MS evaluated bioactive compounds from sea bamboo extracts. The antioxidant activity was determined by the DPPH scavenging method, compared with Vitamin E. The biological activity of Celebes sea bamboo extracts was predicted with PASS prediction. GC-MS evaluation identified nine alkaloid-derived and phenolic-derived compounds, namely tetramethyldiaminoethane; dimethylisopropanolamine; crotonic acid, (E)-; 2,4-dimethylpyrrole; 1-(carboxymethyl)pyridinium chloride; pyridine, 3,4-dimethyl-; 3,5-dithiahexanol 5,5-dioxide; N-Nitroso-2-methylthiazolidine; and (-)-cis-carveol. The Celebes sea bamboo extracts have strong antioxidant activity. These compounds are predicted to have antioxidant abilities, closely related to their role as NADPH-oxidase inhibitors.

Abstract

Multiple intelligences are very important, as they help individuals develop the diverse abilities needed to adapt and thrive. Each individual has a different type of intelligence. Each individual with different types of intelligence can influence the way they learn. This research aimed to identify students' multiple intelligences profile in learning as part of a preliminary study. The research method applied was a quantitative method, with the total number of respondents being 19 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire/questionnaire using a Likert scale. The interpretation of calculation scores, assessment intervals, and calculation of the index formula (%) were carried out. The results showed that interpersonal intelligence is the most dominant type of intelligence (79,74%) and musical intelligence is the lowest (55,13%). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the majority of multiple intelligences types are in the high category, except musical intelligence in the low category.

Abstract

Perubahan perilaku yang signifikan di usia remaja menjadi tantangan tersendiri di masa kini. Remaja diperhadapkan dengan pertukaran budaya sebagai dampak globalisasi serta lingkungan sosial yang menuntut remaja untuk mengikuti berbagai tren perilaku walaupun perilaku tersebut menyimpang dan tidak sesuai dengan norma di masyarakat. Salah satu perilaku remaja yang berisiko yakni konsumsi minuman beralkohol.  Alkohol adalah suatu zat yang secara selektif mempengaruhi otak dan dapat menyebabkan perubahan pada perilaku, emosi serta kesadaran seseorang terlebih jika dikonsumsi secara berlebihan.  Dengan adanya permasalah tersebut maka perlu dilaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi bagi remaja tentang bahaya kecanduan minuman beralkohol sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mencegah remaja terjerumus dalam perilaku konsumsi minuman beralkohol. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan pada organisasi keagamaan Pelka Remaja GMIST Banalang Duata Pekakentengan. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan judul edukasi bahaya kecanduan minuman beralkohol pada remaja di GMIST Banalang Duata Pekakentengan memberikan manfaat dan dampak yang positif. Hal ini terlihat dengan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan remaja sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakannya sosialisasi tentang bahaya kecanduan minuman beralkohol.
