Abstract

Abstract

Rendahnya pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang pentingnya pemeriksaan menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab.

Menstrual pain is a condition that bothers most women regardless of age, with the highest percentage being in their teens. Menstrual pain is categorized into mild, moderate, severe and very severe pain. Women who experience menstrual pain can interfere with their activities ranging from daily activities, school to work. One way to reduce menstrual pain non-pharmacologically is to use acupressure. This study aimed to determine the effect of acupressure on menstrual pain in adolescents. This was a literature Review with Systematic Mapping Study (Scoping Study) design. This study used journals published in the last 5 years. The ten journals used were obtained from the Google Schoolar, PubMed and Sciencedirect databases. The journals obtained had passed the selection based on the year of publication, the suitability of the title with keywords, the feasibility of the journal, the ability to access, duplication and inclusion criteria. The journal was then analyzed using the instrument of presenting the results of a literature review. The most widely used acupressure point was sanyinjiao (Sp 6) by pressing or massaging. The intensity of menstrual pain after being given acupressure was decreased, the average pain intensity decreased between before and after being given acupressure starting from a scale of 0.86 to 6.7. The results of the analysis of all journals show P value < a, which meant that there was a significant effect of giving acupressure on decreasing the intensity of menstrual pain in adolescents. Giving acupressure by pressing or massaging certain meridians can increase the levels of endorphins that are useful for reducing the intensity of menstrual pain in adolescents. Education about proper massage techniques will help reduce the level of pain that occurs during menstruation.

Abstract

Postpartum depression is a mental health problem experienced by mothers at 4 weeks after giving birth which is characterized by feelings of sadness, decreased mood, feelings of failure or guilt, and even suicidal ideation, one of which is due to lack of husband support. To analyze the incidence of postpartum depression, the provision of husband support, and the relationship between providing husband support to the incidence of postpartum depression. This study used a systematic review design by tracing journal articles through the database like as Proquest, Garuda Portal, PubMed, and Science Direct with the publication year from January 2012 - January 2022 and discussing husband support and the incidence of postpartum depression, and using Indonesian and English. The keywords used in national journal were "husband's support" and "postpartum depression" or "postpartum depression", for international journal articles used "spousal support" or "partner support" or "husband's support" and "postpartum depression. The results showed that 10 journal articles met the inclusion criteria with all journal articles stating that there was a relationship between husband support and the incidence of postpartum depression. Most postpartum mothers do not experience postpartum depression and receive husband's support. There was a relationship between providing husband's support and the incidence of postpartum depression, where the higher the husband's support, the lower postpartum depression that occurs in postpartum mothers. The results of the study found 10 journal articles that met the inclusion criteria with all journal articles stating that there was a relationship between the provision of husband support and the incidence of postpartum depression.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia has increased to 2 per 1,000 population. Low early detection rates are a major contributing factor to the rise in cervical cancer cases. This low coverage is influenced by low interest among women of childbearing age, related to a lack of knowledge, perceived health, and fear of the VIA test. The leaflet "Let's Get Early Detection and Get the VIA Test" is designed as an educational tool that provides information on the importance of early cervical cancer detection and is expected to increase interest in early screening. Purpose: To determine changes in the interests of women of childbearing age before and after being given health education using the leaflet “Let's Get Early Detection and Get the VIA Test”. Methods: The study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 40 female respondents of childbearing age (30–50 years old) at the Sukorame Community Health Center in Kediri City, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a modified questionnaire and tested for validity and reliability. Then, data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to determine differences in interest before and after health education. Results: There was a significant difference in the interest of women of childbearing age before and after being given health education using the leaflet with a p value = 0.008 (p <0.05). Conclusion:  Health education using the leaflet has shown increased interest in VIA screening among women of childbearing age. These results can serve as a basis for community health centers (Puskesmas) to utilize the leaflet as an educational tool to increase participation in early cervical cancer detection.

Abstract

Indonesia's maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) remain relatively high, partly due to prolonged labor that is not managed effectively managed. The peanut ball technique is a non-pharmacological alternative to accelerate labor. This study aims to assess the effect of the peanut ball on labor duration among mothers delivering in the active phase of the first stage. The study employed a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control-group design. Sixty participants were split into two groups: 30 in the intervention group and 30 in the control group. The intervention group used the peanut ball technique for 120 minutes, while the control group received standard delivery care. Consecutive sampling was used. The study was conducted at Aura Syifa Hospital, Baptist Hospital, and Nirmala Hospital in Kediri. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney test. The results showed that the average labor duration in the intervention group was 150.2 plus minus 60.779 minutes, and the control group was 199.5 plus minus 76.191 minutes, with a p-value of 0.000 (p less than 0.05). The peanut ball technique has been proven effective in accelerating labor. This technique can be implemented as a non-pharmacological intervention in obstetric care.

Abstract

Kata kunci : Continuity of Care, ketuban pecah dini, sectio caesarea, asuhan kebidanan, anemia Abstract   The maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) in Indonesia are still high. They are mainly caused by bleeding, infection, hypertension during pregnancy, and complications during labor and the postpartum period. One effort to reduce the MMR and IMR is to implement continuity of care (COC), a continuous midwifery service that begins during pregnancy and continues through childbirth, the postpartum period, and the neonatal period, as well as family planning. This report aims to provide Mrs. A continuous midwifery care from pregnancy to family planning. This report uses a case study method at the FK Maternity Center in the Ngadiluwih District of Kediri Regency from November 2024 to May 2025 using a SOAP-based midwifery management approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and the application of care ethics. During her pregnancy, Mrs. A experienced mild anemia and received nutritional therapy and iron tablets. She was referred to SLG Hospital for delivery due to premature rupture of membranes (PROM) without dilation; a cesarean section was then performed. The postpartum and neonatal periods were normal, and the mother chose the IUD contraceptive method. Continuous midwifery care effectively detects complications early and ensures that mothers can safely and smoothly transition from pregnancy to birth control.
