Abstract

The competency possessed by the teacher affects the attention of students in participating in the learning process which will produce student learning outcomes. This type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The results of this study are the relationship between students' perceptions of teacher pedagogical competence with the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of social studies at SM Ma'arif NU 01 Pekuncen, Banyumas Regency, Academic Year 218/2019 there is a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. This is evidenced by the obtained correlation value of the two variables is 0.943 with a significance of 0.000 and the student's perception variable about teacher pedagogical competence is related to the learning outcome variable by 88.9%.

Abstract

The results showed that (1) the social studies teacher at SMPN 1 Sukorejo and SMPN 2 Sukorejo used the discovery learning model, while the social studies teacher at SMPN 3 Sukorejo used a varied lecture learning model, (2) the teacher implemented it according to the analyzed learning model, and in the implementation process there are obstacles experienced by teachers and students, (3) the teacher reflects on the learning model by looking at the activeness of students and the results of test scores. Then the teacher made improvements to the social studies learning model by discussing among teachers, using the peer tutor model, utilizing technology, and book references from various sources.

Abstract

Textbooks are one of the important learning resources, so they can support the achievement of learning objectives. Each subject requires at least one relevant and quality textbook. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of materials and evaluation tools developed in the social studies textbooks used in SMP Sekecamatan Ngargoyoso and teachers responses to the textbooks they used. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Collecting data using interview methods and study documentation. The results show that the books used in SMP Negeri 1 Ngargoyoso and SMP Negeri 2 Ngargoyoso still use the revised social studies textbooks in 2016, but in terms of material development, they are still relevant to the latest KI dan KD, namely Permendikbud number 37 of 2018. The evaluation tools used in the medium level. And the teacher’s response to the texts they use shows that the textbooks are able to help students ini the social studies learning process in terms of the material, the level of difficulty of the questions, and the material presented is still relevant to the students environment.

Abstract

Social science subjects need to be constructed to shape the life of a democratic citizen. Organizing the material needed to form a controversy very intelligent character and critical learners. Organizing materials studied so interesting controversy will be able to develop a model that is capable of learning controversy develops the creativity of learners. The problems of this study are: (1) Which materials in IPS is controversial in the Junior High School?, (2) how teachers prepare and implement instructional materials IPS on the controversy?, and (3) how the teacher needs to be learning model on the IPS material controversy?.This study uses a design research and development (R D), proceeded by a qualitative approach to determine the need for learning model IPS on the matter of controversy. Data collected through observation and interviews, and data analysis techniques used qualitative analysis.Based on the results of the study concluded that the learning material in the field of IPS controversy has not constructed well by the teacher. Teachers have not done the analysis of the material by separating the material which can be developed to foster critical thinking of students because it contains materials that controversy. Thus, the learning was done using a learning model that is not based matteri, because equating the controversy materials with other materials. This happens because the educational background of teachers who monodisiplin and analysis of materials that do not involve groups of teachers in the MGMP forum as well as a lack of understanding of the controversy in the learning material IPS. Based on the conclusions suggested: (1) teachers need to do the analysis of learning materials in MGMP so that the development of learning materials are made into more depth, and (2) there needs to be an understanding of the learning model that can be used by teachers to develop the material controversy in social studies.

Abstract

The problem at MTs Al Asror is the lack of students' concern for learning. The indifference of students also appears as a result of the transition from elementary to high school. Research objectives 1) Knowing the teacher's analysis of social studies material that has the potential to cultivate socially caring characters; 2) Knowing that the teacher instills a socially caring character in social studies learning; 3) Knowing the teacher's evaluation of the inculcation of social care character values. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data validation technique uses triangulation. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman's data. The results of the study show that material that can foster students' caring attitudes is material related to history, sociology and geography which is then applied in everyday life. The teacher's way of instilling a socially caring character is by approaching students who have a problem in learning. The evaluation carried out by social studies teachers in instilling socially caring characters in MTs is through affective, cognitive and psychomotor assessments. Permasalahan di MTs Al Asror ialah kurangnya rasa kepedulian siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Sikap ketidakpedulian siswa juga muncul sebagai akibat dari masa peralihan jenjang sedolah dasar ke sekolah menengah. Tujuan penelitian 1) Mengetahui analisis guru terhadap materi IPS yang potensial untuk penanaman karakter peduli sosial; 2) Mengetahui guru menanamkan karakter peduli sosial dalam pembelajaran IPS; 3) Mengetahui evaluasi guru terhadap penanaman nilai karakter peduli sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desktiptif. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif data Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi yang dapat menumbuhkan sikap kepedulian siswa ialah materi yang berkaitan dengan sejarah, sosiologi dan geografi yang kemudian diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Cara guru dalam menanamkan karakter peduli sosial yakni dengan mendekati siswa yang memiliki suatu permasalahan dalam pembelajaran. Evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh guru IPS dalam penanaman karakter peduli sosial di MTs ialah melalui penilaian baik secara afektif, kognitif dan psikomotor.

Abstract

Kemampuan lebih dari seorang guru dituntut dalam pembelajaran ketika sekolah itu ditetapkan sebagai Sekolah Penggerak karena manajemen yang dilakukan oleh sekolah itu lebih dibandingkan dengan sekolah lain. Guru harus bisa menggunakan dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran sejarah dengan kreativitas yang dimiliki agar pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui media pembelajaran sejarah yang digunakan guru (2) menganalisis pengembangan media pembelajaran sejarah (3) menganalisis kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru sejarah dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran di SMA N 1 Karangtengah dan SMA N 1 Mranggen sebagai Sekolah Penggerak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa (1) Dalam penggunaan media guru sejarah memperhatikan beberapa kriteria dalam pemilihan media yang akan digunakan (2) kreativitas guru sejarah dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran dilakukan dengan mencari di internet serta dengan dua pola yaitu pola sendiri dan pola kelompok. Media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah mempunyai banyak manfaatnya (3) Kendala-kendala yang dialami dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran adalah sarana prasarana yang kurang mendukung, serta kendala-kendala dalam pengembangan media adalah waktu, penyesuaian media dengan karakteristik siswa, dan faktor keterbatasan penggunaan teknologi. Kata kunci: pengembangan media pembelajaran, pembelajaran sejarah, Sekolah Penggerak The ability of a teacher is demanded more in learning when the school is designated as a "Sekolah Penggerak" (Driving School) due to its management being more advanced compared to other schools. Teachers must be able to use and develop historical learning media with their creativity so that learning can be achieved to the maximum extent. The objectives of this research are (1) to identify the historical learning media used by teachers, (2) to analyze the development of historical learning media, and (3) to analyze the challenges faced by history teachers in developing learning media at SMA N 1 Karangtengah and SMA N 1 Mranggen as Sekolah Penggerak. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study strategy. The results of the research show that (1) History teachers consider several criteria in selecting media for their use, (2) the creativity of history teachers in developing learning media is done by searching on the internet and using two patterns: individual pattern and group pattern. The media used in historical learning has many benefits, (3) The challenges experienced in using learning media are the lack of supportive facilities and infrastructure, and the challenges in media development are related to time, adjusting the media to the students' characteristics, and limited use of technology. Abstract

Amidst the necessity for inclusive educational materials, this study endeavors to develop an E-Module that seamlessly integrates Gender Equality Values into the junior high school Social Studies curriculum.. The research product is an electronic module built using software and undergoes evaluation by experts, alongside feedback from teachers and students. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, following the ADDIE model, the e-learning module undergoes a validation process. This validation process involves two subject matter experts: one specializing in gender studies and another in history, along with a media expert and a Social Studies teacher. The results of the validation indicate the high validity of the Interactive E-Module, with all involved parties providing strong validation scores. On average, expert and teacher assessments resulted in a validity score of 94.7%. Each party consistently achieved an average of 90% for both content and E-Module design. These results underscore the e-learning module's suitability for use, making it a highly recommended resource for Social Studies teachers at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penggunaan media bagi guru sejarah Kabupaten Semarang melalui pelatihan pemanfaatan podcast dalam pembelajaran. Secara teknis, pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatiihan yang dirancang sebagai berikut: 1) Persiapan. Pada tahap persiapan ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis permasalahan secara lebih mendalam dan merumuskan langkah strategis dalam penyelesaian permasalahan tersebut; 2) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan. Mempersiapkan pedoman pemanfaatan podcast untuk kegiatan pembelajaran. Mempersiapkan hotline yang memberikan pelayanan konsultasi pada guru. Pelatihan pemanfaatan media podcast untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru. Pendampingan yang dilaksanakan rutin selama satu bulan sekali (berjalan 8 bulan). Pendampingan tersebut dilaksanakan secara online melalui media sosial (Whatsapp Group) dan offline yaitu secara tatap muka langsung; dan 3) Evaluasi dan monitoring kegiatan. Evaluasi dan monitoring kegiatan dilakukan secara periodik dengan melibatkan anggota pelaksana dan mitra kegiatan. Setiap tahap evaluasi akan dilaksanakan secara keseluruhan untuk mengetahui derajat keberhasilan kegiatan berdasarkan target yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil evaluasi tahap pertama akan dijadikan dasar untuk pelaksanaan tahap kedua dan seterusnya. Luaran yang ditargetkan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu: 1) Publikasi Ilmiah; 2) Publikasi di Media Massa Elektronik; dan 3) Video Highlight Kegiatan

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu upaya peningkatan keterampilan publikasi di media massa bagi guru sejarah di Kabupaten Semarang melalui pelatihan artikel populer. Permasalahan yang mendasari kegiatan ini yaitu guru yang belum familiar dengan aktivitas penulisan dan publikasi, mempersiapkan naskah publikasi, dan teknis pengiriman naskah ke redaktur media massa. Berdasarkan analisis situasi dan permasalahan mitra yang telah diidentifikasi, Tim Pengabdi telah menyusun strategi untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan di atas, berikut kegiatan yang diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah: Pelatihan penulisan artikel populer untuk publikasi di media massa dan Pendampingan penulisan artikel populer untuk publikasi di media massa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini mengacu sistematika berikut: Pembentukan tim, perumusan tujuan, identifikasi stakeholders, pengumpulan dan analisis kebutuhan, penentuan prioritas solusi masalah, persiapan, implementasi, pendampingan, review dan evaluasi, dan menentukan kebutuhan dan sasaran baru. Luaran pengabdian yang telah ditentukan yaitu: Publikasi di jurnal nasional terakreditasi Sinta, Berita pada media massa elektronik, dan Video highlight kegiatan yang diunggah pada YouTube

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of using a learning model learning project based on the teaching history of the study graders' results in Xi IPS Man Temanggung. The approach that was undertaken in the research is the quantitative approach, a quasi-experimental design. The population in the study was a student xi ips man Temanggung academic year 2015/2016; the sample in the research was a class XI social 1; this procedure used the sample collection using a random sample technique. The variable in this research is a project-based learning model and study results. Data collection method in a test, survey, and documentation. Search shows that study results showed students who use the project-based learning model have an average point pretest of 61.86 and a posttest increase of 82.94. Is the use of a learning model project-based learning of the results of the studied history. The size of the influence of the use of the learning model project-based learning is 23.8, showing that the use of the learning model project-based learning is the dominant factor in determining whether there is an increase or a failure in the study results.
