Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi fisik atlet arung jeram provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Adapun kondisi fisik yang diukur antara lain: Flexibility, Power, Strength, Core Stability, dan Aerobic Capacity. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2024. Sampel yang digunakan merupakan sampel populasi, yakni sebanyak 6 atlet arung jeram Provinsi Banten yang lolos seleksi untuk mengikuti kejuaraan PON Aceh-Sumut 2024. Data hasil pengukuran kondisi fisik menunjukkan hasil yang bagus. Rerata persentase fleksibilitas panggul, kekuatan otot tungkai dan kekuatan otot tangan berada pada kategori cukup. Rerata persentase power lengan chest MB berada pada kategori baik. Sedangkan rerata persentase core stability dan VO2Max berada pada kategori baik sekali.

Abstract

Layanan kesehatan di Indonesia terus bertransformasi menuju sistem kesehatan yang kuat, tangguh dan terintegrasi. Salah satunya dengan melakukan integrasi data rekam medis pasien di fasyankes ke dalam satu platform Indonesia Health Services (IHS) yang diberi nama Satu Sehat dan Aplikasi Mobile JKN mempermudah masyarakat dalam menyusun data Kesehatan secara ringkas dan lebih rapi. Masyarakat juga dapat mengakses informasi layanan konsultasi yang diberikan oleh tenaga kesehatan ataupun rumah sakit yang resmi dan berlisensi melalui aplikasi ini. Permasalahan yang diangkat pada program ini adalah masyarakat/pasien  khususnya di di Puskesmas Sukarame Kabupaten Tasikmalaya belum terlalu mengenal platform SATU SEHAT dan Aplikasi Mobile-JKN. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pendidikan masyarakat dilakukan sosialisasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman para kader tentang platform satu sehat digital dan aplikasi mobile JKN terintegrasi untuk mendukung layanan proritas nasional dipuskesmas sukarame dengan  pemberian pre-test, post-. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini bertambahnya pegetahuan para kader dalam melakukan klasifikasi dan kodefikasi penyakit terlihat dari hasil evaluasi kegiatan. Sehingga dengan hasil uji statistic Paired Samples Correlations memiliki hubungan yang kuat dan positif dibuktikan dengan hasil signifikansi dibawah 5% tepatnya 0.003 . dengan adanya kegiatan sosialisasi ini para kader puskesmas sukarame sangat berterima kasih kepada tim pengabdian masyarakat tentunya bisa di implementasikan nantinya. Mereka juga berharap kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat dapat diselenggarakan secara rutin.

Abstract

Pokdarwis is one of the spearheads of tourism which plays an important role in promoting tourist destinations and providing education related to these tourist destinations in the local area. The lack of knowledge and diving skills of Pokdarwis members, as well as the limited facilities and infrastructure that can be used to improve their diving skills is one of the reasons for the implementation of community service activities entitled Basic diving training for Community Based Tourism (Pokdarwis) in Pandeglang Regency. This activity uses the method of observation, interviews, training, and mentoring. This training activity was attended by 20 participants from the Pokdarwis of Pandeglang Regency. The results of this activity indicate that there are differences in the mean pretest and posttest scores, where the posttest score is greater than the pretest score. As many as 80% of the participants successfully carried out the SCUBA equipment installation procedure properly. 90% of participants were able to do the Giant Step Entry procedure well and 75% of the participants were able to do the Back Roll Entry procedure well. And finally, as many as 60% of the participants could do mask clearing well.

Abstract

Dengue prevention efforts are limited to the control strategies of its vector and the management of breeding sites. New alternatives for dengue vector control that are sustainable and more environmentally friendly are needed to complement the government's current efforts. Research on Wolbachia-infected Aedes aegypti Linnaeus mosquitoes as an alternative biocontrol strategy has been performed in Yogyakarta City. However, one of the concerns of the community members and stakeholders about this technology is the safety aspect regarding the transmission of Wolbachia to other species and the possibility that humans will contract Wolbachia. This study aimed to address these concerns, namely to find out whether horizontal transmission of Wolbachia occurred from A. aegypti that were released to other species and whether residents living in the released areas were infected with Wolbachia. The research was conducted in Dusun Nogotirto and Dusun Kronggahan (Sleman Regency), as well as in Dusun Jomblangan and Dusun Singosaren (Bantul Regency), Yogyakarta Special Province. Wolbachia qPCR screening using the target gene WD0513 was performed on 922 Culex quinquefasciatus Say and 331 Aedes albopictus (Skuse). ELISA test was carried out on 190 pairs of plasma samples, namely the sample before the Wolbachia frequency was established (still <80%) and the sample after it was established (>80%). The results showed no evidence of Wolbachia transfer from Wolbachia-infected A. aegypti to other mosquito species coexisting in the same habitat or to humans. This study corroborates the safety evidence of Wolbachia-infected A. aegypti technology as an alternative to control dengue virus transmission

Abstract

Purpose: Malaria is a leading cause of death worldwide, including in Indonesia. Climate change should be considered when addressing malaria control in Indonesia. This study examined the relationship between climatological parameters (temperature, wind speed, humidity, and rainfall) and malaria cases in Indonesia from 2006 to 2015. Methods: Data on climatological parameters were obtained from Indonesia's 2022 statistics, while malaria case data were taken from the annual report of Indonesia's Ministry of Health. Results were presented using maps, diagrams, and graphs. The associations between climatological parameters and malaria cases were analyzed annually using GraphPad Prism 9 software. Results: Between 2006 and 2015, the API fluctuated each year. Papua province had the highest malaria incidence in Indonesia (25.5%). A significant decline in malaria cases was observed outside Papua province, whereas cases in Papua tended to increase annually. During this period, annual temperature ranged from 23.39°C to 28.44°C, wind speed from 1.01 m/s to 17.54 m/s, relative humidity from 70.85% to 85.84%, and rainfall from 99.74 to 3,838.2 mm3. Conclusion: From 2006 to 2015, annual temperature, rainfall, and relative humidity showed weak positive correlations with the API, whereas annual wind speed showed a negative correlation.

Abstract

Purpose: Multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) present a significant challenge for hospital infection control, with environmental surfaces acting as key reservoirs. This study sought to identify MDRO species, evaluate their biofilm-forming capacity, and quantify microbial bioburden in intensive care isolation and operating rooms. Methods: Environmental sampling was conducted in 16 rooms. Air and surface samples, including floors, walls, and bedside monitors, were collected using a microbiological air sampler and sterile swabs. Samples were cultured to determine total bioburden and detect MDROs, with bacterial identification performed using VITEK 2. Antimicrobial resistance was assessed using the Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion test, and bioburden levels were compared to national standards. Results: Forty-nine MDRO isolates were identified: 3 methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA, 6.12%), 19 methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci (MRCONS, 38.78%), 24 carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter spp. (CRA, 48.98%), and 3 extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Enterobacterales (6.12%). Mean microbial bioburden remained within acceptable limits for air (57.44 CFU/m³), walls (70.63 CFU/100 cm²), and bedside monitors (22.63 CFU/100 cm²), but exceeded thresholds on floors (753.75 CFU/100 cm²). Biofilm-forming capacity varied: MRCONS (26.32% strong biofilm), CRA (8.33% strong biofilm), and ESBL-producing Enterobacterales (66.67% weak biofilm). Conclusion: MDROs were detected in all sampled rooms, with CRA as the predominant species. Floors exhibited microbial loads above acceptable standards, highlighting the necessity for improved cleaning protocols. Enhanced environmental infection control strategies are essential to reduce MDRO transmission in healthcare settings.

Abstract

Itik Magelang memiliki peran penting sebagai sumber daya genetik unggas lokal dengan potensi pengembangan sebagai itik pedaging. Namun, informasi mengenai keragaman morfologi populasinya masih terbatas, sehingga diperlukan kajian morfometrik sebagai dasar seleksi dan perbaikan mutu genetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis keragaman morfologi Itik Magelang dewasa (24 minggu) yang dipelihara secara semi-intensif di Desa Sempu, Kecamatan Secang, Kabupaten Magelang. Sebanyak 100 ekor itik betina diukur parameter morfometriknya, meliputi bobot badan (BB), panjang badan (PB), lingkar dada (LD), panjang leher (PL), panjang paruh (PP), panjang kalung leher (PKL), panjang sayap (PS), panjang kaki (PK), panjang jari tengah (PJT), dan suhu tubuh (ST). Analisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, koefisien variasi (CV), dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keragaman rendah pada sebagian besar parameter (CV 0,41–4,77%), kecuali PKL yang memiliki keragaman sedang (CV 8,79%). Nilai rata-rata BB, PB, dan LD masing-masing adalah 1,59 ± 0,06 kg; 34,27 ± 0,66 cm; dan 33,48 ± 0,32 cm. Korelasi signifikan ditemukan antara BB dan LD (r=0,435**), BB dan PB (r=0,334*), serta BB dan PL (r=–0,619*). Disimpulkan bahwa populasi Itik Magelang cukup homogen secara morfometrik, dengan LD dan PB sebagai indikator potensial untuk seleksi peningkatan produksi daging. Temuan ini mendukung penerapan strategi seleksi berbasis morfologi dalam pengembangan itik pedaging unggul lokal.

Abstract

The low effectiveness of mathematics learning in secondary schools remains a significant challenge, particularly in relation to teachers’ difficulties in presenting abstract concepts, selecting appropriate instructional strategies, and responding to students’ diverse learning abilities. This condition indicates the need to strengthen teaching practices through reflective and participatory activities that are grounded in real classroom problems. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the teaching practices of mathematics teachers in Gowa Regency through the identification of teaching difficulties as a basis for formulating contextual and applicable learning solutions. The implementation method employed a participatory approach consisting of planning, implementation, and reflection stages. During the implementation stage, teachers were divided into several working groups based on teaching level and teaching experience. Each group conducted focused discussions to identify experienced teaching difficulties, analyze contributing factors, and formulate alternative instructional solutions. Activity data were obtained from group worksheets, discussion results, and group presentations. The activity involved thirty mathematics teachers who were divided into five groups, each consisting of six participants. The results indicated that the first and second groups predominantly identified difficulties in presenting abstract concepts and low student participation, the third group emphasized constraints in selecting instructional models, the fourth group revealed difficulties in learning assessment, and the fifth group highlighted limitations in instructional media. The benefits obtained included increased teachers’ reflective awareness, improved ability to systematically analyze instructional problems, and the development of alternative solutions that were relevant to classroom contexts. This activity confirms that active teacher involvement in identifying teaching difficulties represents an important and innovative approach to strengthening teaching practices based on authentic school needs.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Pelestarian isolat mikroba sangat penting untuk penelitian, diagnostik, dan bioteknologi. Metode konvensional seperti stok gliserol atau liofilisasi efektif namun seringkali mahal dan rentan terhadap risiko kontaminasi. Strategi alternatif penyimpanan berbasis butiran, memungkinkan pengambilan mikroorganisme yang masih hidup dengan mudah sambil meminimalkan siklus pembekuan-pencairan berulang. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja awal sistem GAMICBANK, metode penyimpanan mikroba berbasis butiran menggunakan butiran mikrobank plastik yang dimasukkan dalam larutan susu skim atau Skim Milk–Tryptone–Glucose–Glycerol (STGG), untuk menyimpan bakteri dan ragi pada suhu –80 °C. Isolat Gram-positif, Gram-negatif, dan ragi yang representatif (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella typhi, Shigella flexneri, Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chromobacterium violaceum, dan Candida albicans) disimpan dalam butiran dengan susu skim atau STGG. Butiran tersebut diambil kembali setelah 1 dan 3 bulan, ditanam pada media selektif, dan dievaluasi pertumbuhan koloni dan viabilitasnya. Setelah 1 bulan, semua isolat tetap memiliki viabilitas yang sangat baik di kedua media. Pada 3 bulan, sebagian besar spesies tetap sangat viabel (>99%) di kedua media. Namun, Listeria monocytogenes dan Neisseria gonorrhoeae menunjukkan penurunan viabilitas yang signifikan dalam susu skim (30%) tetapi tetap stabil dalam STGG (99%). Demikian pula, Candida albicans menunjukkan penurunan viabilitas dalam susu skim (50%) tetapi mempertahankan 99% kelangsungan hidup dalam STGG. Sistem bead GAMICBANK secara efektif melestarikan mikroorganisme yang tangguh dan sensitif pada suhu –80 °C. STGG memberikan perlindungan beku yang lebih unggul dibandingkan susu skim, terutama untuk bakteri sensitif dan ragi. Kesimpulannya bahwa sistem GAMICBANK dapat dijadikan sebagai metode alternatif untuk penyimpanan isolat bakteri dan ragi.ABSTRACK.The preservation of microbial isolates is crucial for research, diagnostics, and biotechnology. Conventional methods, such as glycerol stocks or lyophilization, are effective but frequently expensive and susceptible to contamination risks. An alternative strategy, bead-based storage, facilitates the easy retrieval of viable microorganisms while minimizing repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This study aims to evaluate the initial performance of the GAMICBANK system, a bead-based microbial storage method utilizing plastic microbank beads submerged in either skim milk or Skim Milk–Tryptone–Glucose–Glycerol (STGG) solutions, for the cryopreservation of bacteria and yeast at –80 °C. Representative Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and yeast isolates (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella typhi, Shigella flexneri, Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chromobacterium violaceum, and Candida albicans) were preserved in beads using either skim milk or STGG. The beads were retrieved after 1 and 3 months of storage, cultured on selective media, and evaluated for colony growth and viability. After 1 month, all isolates maintained excellent viability in both preservation media. At 3 months, the majority of the species remained highly viable (>99%) in both media. However, Listeria monocytogenes and Neisseria gonorrhoeae exhibited a significant decline in viability when stored in skim milk (30%) but remained stable in STGG (99%). Similarly, Candida albicans demonstrated a reduction in viability in skim milk (50%) while maintaining a 99% survival rate in STGG. The GAMICBANK bead system effectively preserves both robust and sensitive microorganisms at –80 °C. STGG provides superior cryoprotection compared to skim milk, particularly for sensitive bacteria and yeast. In conclusion, the GAMICBANK system serves as a viable alternative method for the preservation of bacterial and yeast isolates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman orang tua terhadap kekerasan seksual pada anak usia dini di kawasan permukiman kumuh kota Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah orang tua dari anak usia dini yang berada di permukiman kumuh kota Yogyakarta dengan sampel yang diambil secara purposive sampling (sampling berdasarkan tujuan). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 51 orang. Sampel adalah orang tua dari anak usia pra-sekolah (taman kanak-kanak). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman orang tua terhadap kekerasan seksual pada anak usia dini di permukiman kumuh Kota Yogyakarta mencapai 76,15 %. Pemahaman orang tua terhadap pendidikan seks mencapai 71,73 % dan pemahaman pencegahan kekerasan seksual anak usia dini mencapai 80,56%.
