Students are one group of individuals who are in adolescent development. Adolescence is the stage of human development between childhood and adulthood. Growth and development are also felt in adolescence, including cognitive, personality, social, and physical development. Adolescence is the next generation of the nation's struggle and has a vital role in the nation's survival. Thus, various skills are needed in adolescents to face the development and challenges that lie ahead. One of the things that can be done is to provide debriefing related to essential life skills. Debriefing is done through training activities to increase students' knowledge of essential life skills. The participants of this activity were 27 students of SMAN 2 Padang Panjang. Training activities are packaged through applicative, interactive, and simple games that illustrate essential life skills—measurement of knowledge in students using an open-ended questionnaire that refers to essential life skills. After receiving training, we observed an increase in grades/scores in students, which was measured through a pre- and post-training assessment of their understanding and application of the essential life skills.

Generation Z, as the productive age group, has a significant role in the political development of a country. Although this age group is often seen as abstaining or disconnected from politics, their political awareness is essential as the nation's successors. Therefore, the present study investigated the relationship between political awareness, national identity, and knowledge about the general election among Generation Z in Indonesia. A total of 626 participants aged 17 and 21 years were recruited from 25 provinces in Indonesia using a voluntary sampling technique. Data were collected using the Political Awareness Scale and National Identity Scale, distributed through online questionnaires. The correlation analysis showed that national identity and knowledge about elections had a significant and positive relationship with political awareness with moderate strength. Moreover, the study found that most Generation Z had a high political awareness, national identity, and knowledge of the 2024 general elections. A significant difference was also reported in political awareness and national identity between Generation Z, who participated in social organizations and engaged as political party sympathizers, and those who did not. Therefore, promoting a sense of belonging to the country could foster political awareness in Generation Z, which will boost their active political participation.

Industri perhotelan merupakan sektor hospitality dengan tingkat turnover yang tinggi. Salah satu bentuk turnover yang sering ditemukan pada industri ini adalah job-hopping, yang kerap diasosiasikan dengan persepsi negatif karyawan terhadap pekerjaan di industri hospitality. Persepsi negatif akan mengarah pada rendahnya organization-based self-esteem yang dimiliki karyawan, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kecenderungan karyawan untuk berpindah-pindah kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara organization-based self-esteem dengan job-hopping motives pada karyawan hotel di Kota Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional yang menggunakan analisis Spearman Rank. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 95 karyawan hotel bintang tiga dan bintang empat di Kota Padang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu voluntary sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan adaptasi alat ukur Organization-Based Self-Esteem (OBSE) Scale dari Pierce dkk. (1989) dan alat ukur Job-Hopping Motives Scale (JHMS) dari Lake dkk. (2017). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara OBSE dengan escape motive (p = 0,004), dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar -0,293. Sementara itu, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara OBSE dengan advancement motive. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi organization-based self-esteem, maka semakin rendah intensi job-hopping yang didasari oleh escape motive pada karyawan hotel di Kota Padang.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan sosial emosional siswa kelas 2 di SD Negeri 4 Jono, terutama dalam interaksi mereka dengan teman sebaya. Menggunakan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara dengan guru, dan analisis dokumen sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial yang positif, dinamika emosional yang sehat, dan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional siswa. Siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan kelompok menunjukkan peningkatan dalam keterampilan sosial seperti kerjasama dan empati, serta kemampuan pengelolaan emosi. Selain itu, kebijakan anti-bullying dan program pembelajaran sosial emosional (SEL) yang diterapkan di sekolah menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan inklusif, yang mendukung kesejahteraan emosional siswa. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya integrasi program SEL dan kegiatan kelompok dalam kurikulum sekolah, serta pelatihan guru dalam strategi SEL untuk mendukung perkembangan sosial emosional siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sosial emosional di sekolah dasar.

The role of caregivers in providing care to individuals with special needs, such as the elderly or patients with chronic conditions, is often accompanied by complex psychological challenges. To support caregiver well-being, measuring mutuality and family resilience is important as an indicator of emotional relationships and family adaptability. This study aims to design a web-based application to measure mutuality and family resilience using a user-centered design (UCD) approach, which focuses on user needs and experiences. The research method includes four main stages: (1) needs analysis through interviews with caregivers and psychologists to understand measurement needs, (2) designing an application prototype with UCD principles, (3) evaluating the design using the usability testing method, and (4) initial testing of the reliability and validity of the psychological measurements applied in the application. This platform is equipped with a psychometric-based questionnaire feature, easy-to-understand measurement result reports, and recommendations for further support. The results of the study indicate that this application is effective in providing measurement tools that are easy to use by caregivers. Usability testing resulted in a user satisfaction score of 85%, indicating an intuitive and appropriate interface. In addition, initial testing of the instrument's validity showed good consistency in measuring mutuality and family resilience. In conclusion, this application can be a useful tool in supporting caregiver well-being, with the potential for wider application in family or community contexts. Further research is needed to develop additional features and increase the scale of implementation.

Taro chips are one of the typical snack products that are widely developed by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Sumatra Province. However, limitations in production and packaging technology are the main obstacles in improving the quality and competitiveness of products in the market. This community service activity was carried out to increase the production capacity and quality of taro chips through the application of technological innovations in the form of automatic slicing machines and the development of marketing strategies based on brand strengthening and attractive packaging designs. The implementation method includes technical training on the use of slicing machines, assistance in flavor diversification (balado and seaweed), and education on digital packaging and marketing. The results of the activity showed an increase in production efficiency, consistency of the shape and thickness of the sliced chips, and a positive market response to new flavor variants and more attractive packaging. In conclusion, the touch of technology and marketing innovation has proven to be able to increase the competitiveness of MSME products, while contributing to increasing the income of target partners.

The community service program or PKM is a strategic initiative aimed at developing student potential while serving as a platform for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This article examines the collaborative role of interdisciplinary lecturers in mentoring PKM and their contribution to optimizing education, research, and community service. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, the discussion focuses on how synergy among lecturers from diverse academic backgrounds enhances the quality of proposals, strengthens applied research, and promotes innovative solutions for society. Such collaboration not only broadens students’ perspectives but also reinforces the role of lecturers as key agents in the advancement of impactful and relevant knowledge. The findings indicate that lecturer collaboration in PKM plays a crucial role in fostering a productive academic environment and in achieving sustainable outcomes in the Tri Dharma. Therefore, institutional support, incentive policies, and a structured collaborative ecosystem are essential for success.

Patengan and Alam Endah villages located in the Rancabali District South Bandung. Both villages have identical characteristics to the region that most of the people engaged in agricultural with variations in the tourism sector. The identical characteristic make social capital comparation can be done. Differences in the two villages is contained in land tenure wich unlike Alam Endah Village that have private land tenure, Patengan Village are in state land tenure. The field research was conducted in June 2016. The depth interviews were conducted using a semi-structured questioner developed by Social Capital Assessment Tool (SCAT). Research is done by carefully observing the phenomenon using participant observation approach. Research showed that land tenure have effect on social capital (especially on trust, norm, caring and proactive action element) which happened because public concern over restrictions on access to natural resources increase the value of social capital because people tend to give positive responses to avoid conflict. In contrary, a figure that have influence toward natural resources access followed by other society member makes social capital inevitable increase. A harmonious and effective relationship between teachers and parents is a crucial factor in supporting the success of the educational process in schools. However, in practice, gaps in communication, a lack of active participation from parents, and limited understanding of each party’s role in supporting student development are still common. This outreach program aims to improve the quality of teacher-parent communication and to encourage more active and effective parental involvement in the educational environment. The methods used in this program include lectures, interactive discussions, and case study simulations. The results show that the program successfully increased the understanding of both parties regarding the importance of collaboration, openness, and two-way communication in supporting the teaching and learning process. With improved service quality from teachers and active engagement from parents, it is expected that a stronger synergy in children's education at school can be achieved.

In the application of thermonuclear reactor cooling, temperature regulation relies on experiments based on practical experience. Therefore, the accuracy of this temperature setting is operator-dependent. So it is necessary to develop a mathematical model to solve these problems. The dimensional mathematical model therefore is generated using the conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. The dimensional mathematical model is further transformed into non-dimensional mathematical model by using non-dimensional variables. The non-dimensional mathematical model is simplified using the similarity equation by utilizing the stream function. The model obtained is a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. This system of equations is then solved using an implicit numerical method using Keller-Box scheme. This Keller-Box method has high accuracy and is more efficient. The numerical simulation results show that the velocity profile and temperature profile decrease as the magnetic parameter, porosity parameter, and the Prandtl number increases, respectively. Meanwhile, when the radiation parameter increases, the temperature profile also increases, but the radiation parameter does not affect the velocity profile.
