Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media audiovisual terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Koto Balingka. Terdapat tiga tujuan utama dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, mendeskripsikan tingkat keterampilan menulis teks cerpen tanpa menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan media audiovisual. Kedua, mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen dengan menggunakan model tersebut. Ketiga, menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan model discovery learning berbantuan media audiovisual terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu dan desain control-only group posttest design. Sampel berjumlah 31 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, terdiri atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes unjuk kerja menulis cerpen, yang dinilai berdasarkan indikator struktur teks, unsur intrinsik, dan penggunaan EYD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa pada kelas kontrol berada pada kategori Cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 64,52, sedangkan kelas eksperimen mencapai kategori Baik dengan nilai rata-rata 83,21. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai thitung sebesar 11,98 lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 1,84 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model discovery learning berbantuan media audiovisual terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ini efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen di jenjang SMP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the transformation of teacher competency in developing Independent Curriculum teaching modules based on differentiated learning at SMA Negeri 1 Harau Regency. The transformation from Curriculum 2013 (K13) to Independent Curriculum requires teachers to adjust their learning tools, replace the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) with a Teaching Module. This training was organized by a community service team from Lecturers of the Regional Indonesian Language and Literature Department and involved 75 teachers. This program includes an explanation of the introduction of student characteristics, understanding the concept of differentiated learning, and strategies for writing teaching modules that integrate these principles. Interactive discussions, direct practice, reflection, and pre-test and post-test evaluations through the Quizizz application were used. The results of the analysis showed an increase in teacher understanding and skills in implementing differentiated learning when designing learning modules. The learning modules produced after the training proved to be more integrated with the principles of differentiated learning compared to the previous version.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) berbantuan media komik terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Padang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) berbantuan media komik terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Padang berdasarkan (1) kelengkapan teks berita berdasarkan unsur pembentuk berita/ADIKSIMBA, (2) menulis teks berita sesuai dengan strukturnya, dan (3) kaidah kebahasaan teks berita.Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-I SMP Negeri 20 Padang. Rancangan dalam penelitian adalah one group pretest and posttest desing. Data penelitian merupakan hasil dari tes pretest dan tes posttest keterampilan menulis teks berita.Hasil penelitian yang didapat. Pertama, tingkat keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII-I SMP Negeri 20 Padang sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran CIRC berbantuan media komik memperoleh nilai rata-rata 44 dengan kualifikasi 36-45% kurang (K). Kedua, tingkat keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII-I SMP Negeri 20 Padang setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran CIRC berbantuan media komik memperoleh nilai rata-rata 81 dengan kualifikasi 76-85% baik (B). Ketiga, berdasarkan hasil uji-t dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran CIRC berbantuan media komik terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII-I SMP Negeri 20 Padang karena thitung>ttabel (15,50>1,70). Jadi, dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative integrated  reading and composition (CIRC) berbantuan media komik dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran; CIRC; Media Komik; Teks Berita

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Padang sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik Think Talk Write (TTW) dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan teknik Think Talk Write (TTW) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Padang berjumlah 173 dengan sampel 30 orang. Data penelitian ini adalah skor hasil tes keterampilan menulis teks berita sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan Teknik Think Talk Write. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes unjuk kerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Padang sesudah menggunakan Teknik Think Talk Write lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum menggunakan Teknik Think Talk Write. Keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Padang sebelum menggunakan Teknik Think Talk Write berada pada kualifikasi Hampir Cukup (HC) dengan nilai rata-rata 46,67. Keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Padang sesudah menggunakan Teknik Think Talk Write berada pada kualifikasi Lebih dari Cukup (LdC) dengan nilai rata-rata 73,89. Berdasarkan uji-t pada taraf 0,95 diperoleh >  (4,54>1,70). Abstract

A fundamental gap between the demand for multimodal communication competence in the digital era and conventional, text-centric writing pedagogy in higher education was the foundational problem for this research. This study investigated the effectiveness of an integrated learning model, combining Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Digital Storytelling (DST), as a solution to simultaneously enhance students' creative narrative writing skills and multimodal communication competence. The research employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design involving 60 Indonesian Language and Literature Education students, divided into an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The results demonstrated a statistically significant advantage for the experimental group, which exhibited substantially greater improvement in creative narrative writing skills (t(58) = 20.45, p < .001) and achieved superior multimodal communication competence scores (t(58) = 16.98, p < .001) compared to the control group. The study concluded that the integration of PjBL and DST is an effective and robust pedagogical intervention for equipping students with holistic literacy skills relevant to the 21st century, successfully bridging traditional writing practices with contemporary digital communication demands.

Abstract

Nagari Maninjau in Agam Regency, West Sumatra is one of the popular tourist areas that are not only known by the local community, but also by domestic and foreign tourists. This condition causes many administrative matters to be managed by the Village-chief office of Maninjau. So far, archive management has been carried out in a simple manner according to the knowledge possessed by the nagari apparatus and has not been in accordance with archive governance standards. This paper aims to describe efforts to optimize archive management through writing official letters, using archive classification schemes, organizing and filing archives, using Archives Retention Schedules, and using electronic archive management applications. The method used is training and guidance by involving all Nagari apparatus in Nagari Maninjau. The results of this activity are: (1) increasing the understanding of the nagari apparatus on the administration of official texts and direct implementation of the documents produced after the activity; (2) increased understanding of the use of archive classification schemes and implementation of the arrangement and filing of archives according to standards; (3) increased understanding of the use of the archive retention schedule; and (4) implementation of the use of electronic records management applications.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the differing complexities between factual and narrative texts in high school writing instruction, which affect students' writing proficiency outcomes. The aim of this research is to describe students' skills in writing observational report texts, describe their skills in writing short stories, and analyze the comparison between the two among Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Payakumbuh. A quantitative approach was employed using a descriptive-comparative design. The sample consisted of 30 students selected through proportional random sampling. The research instruments included performance-based writing tests and an assessment rubric covering structure, content, and diction. Data were collected through two writing assignments and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including a t-test. The results showed that students’ writing skills for observational report texts were in the Very Good category (average score 88.78), while their skills in writing short stories fell into the Good category (average score 76.25). The t-test revealed a significant difference between the two writing skills (tₕᵢₜᵤₙg = 5.66 > tₜₐᵦₑₗ = 1.69), thus supporting the alternative hypothesis. This study contributes to a better understanding of the need for adaptive writing instruction tailored to the distinct characteristics of factual and narrative texts in order to optimize student mastery of both forms.

Abstract

The ability to write effective sentences in observational report texts remains a challenge for secondary school students, primarily due to limited understanding of sentence structure, diction selection, and application of the Enhanced Spelling System (Ejaan yang Disempurnakan, EYD). This study aims to describe the effectiveness of sentences in the observational report texts written by Grade X students at SMAN 1 Guguak, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was used. The sample consisted of 25 student reports, from which 522 sentences were analyzed using a staged elicitation technique: reading and understanding the texts, inventorying data, and classifying forms of effective sentences. Data analysis involved coding, identifying sentence forms, discussing findings, and drawing conclusions, with validity ensured through detailed descriptions and direct excerpts from student texts. The results revealed that only 216 sentences (41.4%) were classified as effective, while 306 sentences (58.6%) were ineffective. The most common errors were related to sentence structure (111 cases), followed by spelling (100 cases), and diction (95 cases). These findings indicate a low level of student proficiency in writing sentences that adhere to formal language norms. The study concludes that explicit instruction on effective sentence construction should be integrated into writing activities to help students express ideas clearly, concisely, and in accordance with proper Indonesian language standards.

Abstract

Mini soccer is a variation of soccer with fewer players and a smaller field, so it prioritizes speed and teamwork. The mini soccer activity held at Nagari Sungai Durian from 8 to 11 February 2025 is one of the 2025 UNP Sungai Durian Real Work Lecture (KKN) work programs. This research aims to analyze the role of mini soccer in improving the physical health and social interaction of the community. Data was collected through participatory observation during activities and field documentation. The research results show that mini soccer is able to improve players' physical fitness through intense physical activity, as well as strengthening social relations between residents. Competitive matches and high enthusiasm from the audience show that mini soccer plays an important role in maintaining physical health as well as strengthening the social solidarity of the Nagari Sungai Durian community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan kalimat dalam teks surat lamaran kerja siswa kelas XII SMAN 8 Padang. Keefektifan kalimat ditinjau dari tigas aspek yaitu (1) ketepatan ejaan, (2) kebakuan kata, (3) kebenaran ejaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 8 Padang. Instrument penelitian ini peneliti sendiri. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa tulisan teks surat lamaran kerja siswa kelas XII SMAN 8 Padang. Data hasil penelitian keefektifan kalimat dalam teks surat lamaran kerja siswa kelas XII SMAN 8 Padang berada dalam kurang baik. Hal tersebut dikerenakan dari 169 kalimat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, hanya 54 kalimat yang efektif, sedangkan 115 kalimat yang tidak efektif. Ketidakefektifan tersebut dikarenkan tidak memenuhi indikator kalimat efektif dalam penelitian ini. Indikator tersebut yaitu, kehematan kata, kebakuan kata, kebenaran ejaan. Ketidak efektifan kalimat terdapat kesalahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keefektifan kalimat dalam teks surat lamaran kerja siswa kelas XII SMAN 8 Padang belum mampu menggunakan kalimat efektif dalam teks surat lamaran kerja.
