Abstract

The problem found by the researchers was the lack of student motivation in learning mathematics. Teachers must try to create innovations to make learning fun, that is, through learning media. Learning media that can create motivation and student activity is interactive learning media in the form of multimedia with Articulate Storyline. This study aimed to develop and analyze the effectiveness of using interactive learning media developed using Articulate Storyline in the learning motivation view. This research includes development research with a 4D model from Thiagarajan. It consists of define, design, develop, and dissemination stages. The study was conducted at MA Assa’adah Jamanis Tasikmalaya. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis techniques are validity, practicality, and effectiveness analysis. The study results stated that the learning media was feasible based on the validation of material experts and media experts and student responses. Learning motivation increased seen from before and after using interactive media created using Articulate Storyline. There is also an increase in student learning outcomes based on the average pre-test and post-test results. The use of these learning media can increase students' learning motivation to participate in learning. Interactive media are recommended as a learning resource or learning media that can be combined with varied learning models/methods.

Abstract

Skills-based Curriculum is an educational approach that focuses on developing students' practical abilities and soft skills, which are highly relevant in the era of globalization and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. By emphasizing applicative skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication, this Curriculum aims to prepare students for the challenges of the world of work and everyday life. This study aims to explore the benefits, challenges and strategic steps in implementing a skills-based curriculum. The study also highlights best practices at SMAN 10 Tasikmalaya that successfully integrate vocational programs in the skills-based Curriculum, such as cosmetology, automotive, and online business classes. This research uses a literacy study method that involves collecting, analyzing and synthesizing data from various sources, such as scientific journals, policy reports, books and related articles. Through this method, researchers were able to gain a deeper understanding of the theories, concepts and practices that have been applied in various educational contexts. The research also compared the implementation of skills-based Curricula in various schools, including SMAN 10 Tasikmalaya, to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. The results show that although this Curriculum improves students' work readiness, challenges such as limited infrastructure, teacher readiness and evaluation systems still need to be overcome. Therefore, cooperation between the government, schools and industry is needed to ensure the successful implementation of the skills-based Curriculum.

Abstract

Various previous studies on the use of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and its impact on mathematical concepts understanding provide varying reports. This research aims to evaluate the impact of the PjBL model on mathematical concepts understanding and investigate its effects based on the type of instructional media. The research method employed is quantitative with meta-analysis, intended to combine, evaluate, and integrate findings from several published studies. Data was collected through documentary studies by searching articles that published in national and international journals. 32 studies met the predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis was conducted using JASP software version 0.18.1.0. The research results indicate that the effect size of the PjBL model on mathematical concepts understanding is significant in the large category. Moreover, statistically, there is significant differences of effect size of the PjBL model depending on the type of learning media used. The implementation of the PjBL model shows a very large effect size on mathematical concepts understanding when using digital learning media and a large effect when using manual learning media. Meanwhile, without using learning media, the effect size of the PjBL model on mathematical concepts understanding is in the medium category.

Abstract

Pada era saat ini, guru sebagai pengajar dituntut untuk mampu mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang memperhatikan karakteristik siswa, sehingga penting bagi guru untuk mengetahui learning trajectory. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) untuk mendukung siswa SMP dalam mempelajari materi persegi dan persegipanjang. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode design research (DR). Pada penelitian ini diawali dengan melakukan studi pendahuluan untuk mengetahui learning obstacle yang dialami oleh siswa SMP pada materi persegi dan persegipanjang. Jenis learning obstacle yang didapatkan dari hasil studi pendahuluan pada penelitian ini adalah ontogenic obstacle, epistemology obstacle. Bedasarkan tinjauan tersebut, peneliti merumuskan gambaran alur belajar yang disusun agar dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan kegiatan pembelajaran dan respon siswa, yang disebut hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa HLT pada materi persegi dan persegipanjang untuk siswa SMP melalui serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran (Learning Trajectory) yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat memberikan konstribusi peningkatan dalam pemahaman konseptual peserta didik pada penyelesaian dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. HLT ini yang terdiri dari tiga elemen yaitu aktivitas pembelajaran, tujuan pembelajaran, dan hipotesis proses pembelajaran. Rancangan HLT ini bertujuan untuk memperbaharui pemahaman peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah dikehidupan nyata menjadi model matematika. Diharapkan, rencana belajar hipotesis ini dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar untuk penelitian selanjutnya guna menguji efektivitasnya dalam sebuah eksperimen pembelajaran, menganalisis hasilnya dengan menggunakan metode analisis retrospektif, dan membangunnya menjadi sebuah teori pembelajaran lokal.

Abstract

Math word problems are very important for students to understand, because math word problems are related to life. However, there are still many students who have difficulty in solving math word problems. Different levels of learning motivation can affect students' mistakes in solving math word problems. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were 18 students of class XI IPS 3 MAN 5 Tasikmalaya and 3 subjects were selected by purposive selection taking into account the results of the questionnaire scores from each category and the number of errors. The results of this study, subjects with high motivation categories only made 2 mistakes only in the type of comprehension error, namely not writing down what was known and not writing down what was asked in the problem. Subjects in the category of moderate motivation made 5 errors in the types of comprehension errors (Comprehension Error), Skill Error (Process Skill Error), and final writing error (Encoding Error), namely not writing down what is known, not writing down what is being asked, not writing examples. , wrong in calculating, and wrong in writing the final conclusion. Whereas subjects with low motivation categories made 7 mistakes in all types of errors, namely not writing down what was known, not writing down what was being asked, not writing examples, wrongly compiling the equation of the problem, not continuing the solving process, wrong in doing the calculations, and not write a final conclusion. It is recommended for further researchers to conduct interviews with research subjects to obtain more in-depth information.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of knowledge about fish processing among women entrepreneurs before receiving training on fish-based culinary product making, describe the implementation of the training, measure the level of knowledge after the training, and identify changes in knowledge among women entrepreneurs in Sardonoharjo Village, Ngaglik, Sleman. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design. The population consists of women who are culinary MSME entrepreneurs in Sardonoharjo Village, and all 118 participants were selected using a total sampling method. The research instrument was a 31-item knowledge test that had been previously validated and tested for reliability. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, the N-gain test, and the paired sample t-test. The findings indicate that the participants’ knowledge of fish processing before the training was at a moderate level, with an average pretest score of 10.38, and the lowest performance was observed in the C3 and conceptual domains. The training was delivered through a lecture method combining theoretical material about fish with practical processing activities. After the training, the participants’ knowledge remained in the moderate category. Still, it improved substantially, with an average post-test score of 22.71, and the most significant increase occurred in the C2 and conceptual domains. Overall, there was a significant improvement in knowledge, reflected by an N-gain score of 0.63, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness of the fish-based culinary training program.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an E-LKPD integrated with FlippingBook technology based on the Environmath approach, as well as to investigate the enhancement of students’ metaphorical thinking skills before and after the implementation of the developed instructional materials. The study utilized a Research and Development (R&D) methodology guided by the ADDIE model, which comprises five sequential phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were gathered through observations, expert validations of both material and media aspects, and assessments of students’ metaphorical thinking abilities. The participants involved in this study included two material experts, three media experts, and twenty seventh-grade students from MTs Miftahul Falah Panumbangan. The findings revealed that during the analysis stage, a needs analysis, student analysis, and material analysis were conducted. In the design stage, test instruments were prepared, media and format were selected, and the initial product design was developed. The development stage includes the product development process, while at the implementation stage, E-LKPD was tested on students. Furthermore, at the evaluation stage, it was found that there was a significant increase in metaphorical thinking skills after students used E-LKPD assisted by FlippingBook based on environmath with the quality of the increase being in the high category.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika kerap menghadapi kendala dalam menghubungkan konsep abstrak dengan representasi konkret yang mudah dipahami siswa. Materi perbandingan volume bangun ruang, khususnya tabung dan kerucut, merupakan salah satu topik yang membutuhkan visualisasi kuat untuk mendukung pemahaman konseptual. Namun, praktik pembelajaran yang umum digunakan masih bersifat terpisah-pisah dan belum memaksimalkan integrasi teknologi digital secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang learning trajectory melalui pengembangan model pembelajaran terpadu yang mengintegrasikan media visual interaktif berbasis GeoGebra (V-taker) dengan komik digital kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design research dengan pendekatan design-based research yang melibatkan 18 siswa kelas VII dari salah satu sekolah SMP di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Proses penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga fase sistematis, yaitu persiapan desain, implementasi aktivitas pembelajaran, dan analisis retrospektif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi komik digital dan V-taker GeoGebra mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang holistik. Komik digital hadir sebagai pemicu kontekstual yang membantu siswa memahami permasalahan secara intuitif melalui alur cerita yang relevan, sementara GeoGebra berperan sebagai laboratorium virtual yang memungkinkan eksplorasi konsep secara dinamis. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis terhadap pengembangan pembelajaran matematika inovatif, serta menegaskan urgensi pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam membangun proses pembelajaran yang relevan dengan tuntutan pendidikan di era Society 5.0.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the procedures for developing Canva-based digital Smart Apps Creator media and analyze the effectiveness of Canva-based digital Smart Apps Creator media and increasing numeric abilities. The subjects in this research were 21 students class XI SMA 1 Pasundan. This research uses the ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model through the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation stages to obtain valid and practical products. Data collection techniques in this research are through observation, structured interviews, questionnaires and numeric ability tests. The instruments used in this research were material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, user response questionnaires, and numeric ability test. Canva-based digital Smart Apps Creator media value analysis from validators obtained results of 100% for material experts in the high or very valid category, results from media experts were 100% in the high or very valid category, and index values ??from material experts were 100% in the high or valid category. The effectiveness obtained from the N-gain calculation results obtained an average of 0.68 in the medium category so that the use of Canva-based digital Smart Apps Creator media is effectively used to improve students' numeric abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical abstraction abilities in terms of the types of learning styles diverger, accommodator, converger, and assimilator. This research is a qualitative research with research subjects namely students of class VIII SMP. Of the 16 research subjects, one subject was selected in each Kolb learning style group based onbasis purposive. The instruments used in this study were Kolb's learning style questionnaire, mathematical abstraction test questions, and interviews. Mathematical abstraction ability tests are given online viamedia google slides. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that (1) Student with diverger learning styles can complete indicators of mathematical abstraction ability, except indicators make generalizations. (2) Student with an accommodator learning style can complete indicators of mathematical abstraction ability unless the indicator identifies the characteristics of the object being manipulated or imagined and the indicator makes generalizations. (3) Students with converger and assimilator learning styles can solve all indicators of mathematical abstraction ability.
