Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease that is transmitted very quickly. One way of transmitting Tuberculosis is through droplet nuclei when a patient coughs or sneezes, especially to those closest to the patient, namely the family who lives in the same house as the patient. Poor family and community knowledge about Tuberculosis have a greater risk of increasing Tuberculosis cases, while families and communities who have good knowledge about Tuberculosis can reduce the incidence of Tuberculosis cases. To determine the relationship between the level of community knowledge and efforts to prevent tuberculosis in the Pariaman Community Health Center work area in 2022. This research is correlational with a cross-sectional study approach. that of the 48 respondents, the majority of 37 (77.10%) people had a high level of public knowledge about preventing tuberculosis. more than 35 (72.90%) people experienced good Tuberculosis Prevention Efforts. It is known that tuberculosis prevention efforts are greater among respondents who have high knowledge than respondents who have low knowledge (68.80% and 4.20%) people. Based on statistical tests using chi-square, the p-value = 0.00 (p-value < α 0.05) means there is a significant relationship between the level of community knowledge and efforts to prevent tuberculosis. According to the researchers' analysis, knowledge and prevention efforts must be in sync because efforts to prevent lack of knowledge do not occur well, so knowledge and prevention efforts must work well and reduce the number of TB diseases that occur. Most of the community's level of knowledge regarding tuberculosis prevention efforts. Most efforts to prevent tuberculosis are good. There is a significant relationship between the level of community knowledge and efforts to prevent tuberculosis in the Pariaman Community Health Center working area in 2022.

Abstract

Gastritis is an inflammation of the gastric mucosa that commonly occurs, especially among the elderly, due to irregular eating patterns, Helicobacter pylori infection, and increased gastric acid production. According to World Health Organization (WHO) data in 2022, approximately 40%–50% of the global population has experienced gastritis, equivalent to around 1.6 billion cases worldwide. Data from the Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Social Institution in 2025 showed 15 cases of gastritis out of 110 diseases among elderly residents, indicating that gastritis remains a significant health problem requiring special attention. The purpose of this scientific paper was to provide gerontic nursing care for patients with gastritis. The method used was a case study approach applying the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation conducted on Mr. A at the Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Social Institution, Padang Pariaman Regency, from February 11–16, 2026. Assessment results showed moderate epigastric pain, sleep disturbances, and decreased appetite. Nursing diagnoses included chronic pain, impaired comfort, and ineffective health management. Interventions provided were health education, dietary regulation, deep breathing relaxation techniques, and support for therapy adherence. After five days of nursing care, the patient’s condition improved, marked by reduced pain intensity, better sleep quality, and increased knowledge in managing health independently.

Abstract

The absence of digitized administrative maps in rural areas remains a significant obstacle to transparent and data-driven village governance. This study aims to describe the process of creating a digital administrative map of Nagari Tanjung Gadang, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province, as part of the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) community service program. A systematic and participatory approach was applied, encompassing four stages: preparation and literature review, field data collection, digital map processing using Geographic Information System (GIS) software, and finalization and handover. Field surveys were conducted over 14 working days, producing 187 GPS coordinate points across five spatial categories. The resulting map comprises five primary layers—administrative boundaries, road networks, land use, public facilities, and hydrology—totaling 312 spatial features, and was completed in 21 working days, ahead of schedule. The map received positive responses from village officials and was immediately utilized in the preparation of the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMNag). This study demonstrates that digital mapping technology, when integrated with a participatory community engagement approach, can effectively address spatial data gaps in rural areas and strengthen the capacity for independent village governance.
