Abstract

This study examines the behavioral dynamics and social interactions of Muslim school communities by situating them within the ethical framework of the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Although numerous studies have highlighted the importance of school climate and social relations in shaping educational outcomes, limited attention has been given to how Islamic values concretely inform these processes within Muslim educational contexts. To address this gap, a qualitative case study approach was employed, focusing on patterns of behavior and interaction in Muslim school communities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and subsequently analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The findings reveal that the Qur’an and Hadith serve not only as spiritual references but also as practical guidelines for cultivating a safe and supportive learning environment, strengthening teacher–student and peer relationships, and reinforcing the influence of family in students’ character formation. These interactions collectively foster a school climate characterized by harmony, inclusivity, and mutual respect. By linking Islamic normative principles with contemporary educational practices, this study underscores the role of religion as a transformative resource in promoting holistic education. The results offer valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers seeking to improve the quality of Islamic education while contributing to broader discussions on values-based education in global contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of research on technology-related instructional leadership. The research method used is bibliometric analysis. The articles used in this study were sourced from the Google Schooler database with the help of the Publication of Perish from 2015-2022; 498 papers were found. Data analysis using the VOSviewer application. The results showed that the number of publications decreased yearly, where the most occurred in 2015, namely 102 publications. The results of the density visualization analysis shown in yellow circles indicate the themes most frequently used in recent research, namely instructional technology, technology integration, instructional leadership practice, school leader, transformational leadership, covid, time and student. Meanwhile, based on network visualization, the topic of instructional leadership has a relationship with the term development, effect, effectiveness, instructional leader, instructional leadership, instructional leadership practice, leader, leadership, model, principal, research, school, school leader, school leadership, school principal and transformational leadership. These results illustrate that technology-based instructional leadership can be developed by referring to instructional technology, technology integration, as a term rarely used based on visualization overlay.

Abstract

Teachers hold a central and strategic role as the main agents of educational transformation and as practitioners responsible for improving the quality of learning through reflective inquiry. Classroom Action Research (CAR) serves as a scientific and systematic framework that enables teachers to identify classroom problems, implement evidence-based interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness. However, empirical evidence in Indonesia shows that many elementary school teachers still experience significant challenges in conducting CAR due to limited understanding of research methodologies, inadequate technical guidance, and low confidence in academic writing. This study aims to comprehensively map the competence of elementary school teachers in implementing CAR by examining four critical dimensions: conceptual understanding, action planning, implementation and data collection, and research reporting. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, the study involved 20 elementary school teachers in Citerep, Bogor Regency, as participants. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistical techniques. The findings revealed that teachers’ competence remains low across all assessed aspects, with only 12% demonstrating sound conceptual knowledge, 15% capable of effective planning and implementation, and merely 5% able to prepare structured research reports that align with academic conventions. These results reflect the absence of a sustained mentoring culture and the lack of systematic institutional support for teacher-led research practices. The study underscores the need for continuous professional development programs, collaborative mentoring with higher education institutions, and school-based research communities that empower teachers as reflective practitioners. Strengthening teachers’ CAR competence is crucial not only for enhancing their pedagogical professionalism but also for fostering a sustainable culture of research-based teaching and learning in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

This study investigates the leadership practices of madrasah heads in enhancing teacher discipline and performance at Madrasah Aliyah in Cilegon City, Indonesia. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing observations, interviews, documentation, triangulation, field notes, and member checks to gather data. The analysis involved qualitative techniques supported by data processing to calculate average response scores from various respondent groups. The findings reveal a positive trend in teacher discipline and performance at Madrasah Aliyah in Cilegon City. Key leadership practices contributing to this improvement include routine attendance checks, weekly evaluations, briefings, and addressing disciplinary issues during staff meetings. However, at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 and Negeri 2, the leadership’s impact has been limited. This is attributed to the continuation of previous leadership’s programs, with only minimal introduction of new initiatives. While leadership practices have contributed to improved teacher performance across the madrasahs, their effectiveness varies. The continuation of outdated work programs without significant innovation has hindered leadership effectiveness in certain institutions.

Abstract

Lecturer innovation is a strategic factor in improving the quality of learning, research productivity, and competitiveness of higher education institutions in the era of digital transformation. However, empirical studies on the determinants of lecturer innovation are still scattered and have not been comprehensively integrated. This study aims to systematically synthesize international literature on the role of information technology (IT) literacy, self-efficacy, achievement motivation, and knowledge management in enhancing lecturer innovation. The study used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Articles were obtained from the Scopus database for the period 2010–2025. After going through the processes of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion, a total of 46 empirical articles were analyzed thematically. The results of the study indicate that IT literacy increases the capacity for digital pedagogical innovation; self-efficacy strengthens the courage to experiment and adapt to change; achievement motivation encourages innovative performance orientation; while knowledge management acts as an institutional reinforcement that integrates individual innovation into the organizational system. This study produces an integrative conceptual framework that positions knowledge management as a structural enabler and psychological factors as proximal drivers of lecturer innovation. These findings provide theoretical contributions and strategic implications for the development of higher education policies based on sustainable innovation.
