Abstract

One aspect that has yet to receive much attention in the era of Education 4.0 is character education for students. For this reason, innovation is needed in developing a character education management model based on the whole school development approach. This study aims to develop a model of character education management for vocational school students. Using an RD design, this study involved teachers at vocational schools and validators in Palopo City, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, validation sheets, and observation sheets and were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The study results show that the whole school development approach-based character education management model is valid, practical, and effective in developing student character. With these findings, it is hoped that vocational school teachers can develop a character education management model according to the needs of their respective schools so as to develop into better individuals in all aspects of life.

Abstract

This paper is the result of research to determine the role of parents in increasing student interest in learning Islamic religious education online. The results showed that students' interest in learning online in general was still included in the moderate category, meaning that students' interest in learning online in general from all fields of study was still lacking. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of the distribution of questionnaires carried out to find out the role of parents' roles in increasing student interest in learning Islamic religious education online were included in the high category and resulted in the maximum role of parents, students' interest in learning Islamic religious education online was also included in the high category. The obstacles experienced by parents in carrying out their role to increase students' interest in learning Islamic religious education include: 1) Parents' educational background; 2) Parents' economic level; and 3) availability of time. In order to overcome these obstacles, schools, teachers and parents must establish good cooperation. In addition, parents must further improve communication with their children.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the implementation of project assignments in cultural arts learning, and (2) determine the response of student learning independence in grade V elementary school project assignments. This research is designed in the form of qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were class V teachers, and grade V students at SDN 60 Salubattang. Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation study methods. Data is analyzed through four stages data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study show that (1) the implementation of project assignments given by teachers to students is collage artwork, whereas, in the implementation process, it is carried out with two meetings. Determine teacher grades using assessment guidelines based on observations during the process of creating a collage project assignment. (2) The response of students to the tasks given in the form of collages is very positive and enthusiastic, students are also willing to prepare tools and materials that will be used in the process of making collage fine artworks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah kuantitatif, pendekatan Quasi-Experiment, dan desain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi yang diambil adalah 50 peserta didik kelas V SD. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes (pre-test dan post-test) serta dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian dilaksanakan dengan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis menggunakan t-test, dan uji effect size menggunakan rumus d Cohens. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa uji t-test (paired samples test) pada kelas eksperimen (pre-test dan post-test) menghasilkan nilai sig, (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test. Melalui uji t-test (independent samples t-test) pada post-test antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, diperoleh nilai sig, (2-tailed) sebesar 0,0007 < 0,05, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,803 ≥ t tabel sebesar 1,677. Hal ini menunjukkan penolakan terhadap Ho dan penerimaan terhadap Ha. Uji effect size Cohen’s menunjukkan nilai d sebesar 0,8 (kategori large). Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan membaca mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas V SD. Implikasi teoretis dari penelitian ini adalah kontribusinya pada dunia pendidikan melalui konsep dan strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan kemudahan bagi peserta didik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca melalui penerapan strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of a flipbook-based e-module with the theme Save Living Creatures for class VI SDN 525 Labembe. A type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. This research produced a product in the form of a flipbook-based e-module on material about saving living creatures in class VI at SDN 525 Labembe, Ponrang District, Luwu Regency and was validated by 3 validators. The language validator reached a percentage of 92% (very valid), the material validator reached 84.3% (very valid), and the design validator reached 96.8% (very valid) and the average of the three validations was 89.7% with the very category valid. The teacher's practicality test results were 91% (very practical) and the students' practicality test results were 85.50% (very practical). The media developed is included in the valid category, which means that the results obtained are a source of accurate and relevant information in accordance with the research objectives

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) hasil pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah siswa pada kelompok intervensi dengan menggunakan ice breaking, 2) hasil pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah siswa pada kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung, 3) efektivitas penggunaan ice breaking dalam pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah pada. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 44 siswa, dimana 22 siswa kelas IIA yang masuk dalam kelompok intervensi dan 22 siswa kelas IIB masuk dalam kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yakni instrumen tes penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) hasil pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah siswa pada kelompok intervensi dengan menggunakan ice breaking diperoleh data dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 42,50 menjadi 92,25, 2) hasil pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah siswa pada kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung diperoleh data dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 38,75 menjadi 64,25, 3) penggunaan ice breaking efektif dalam pembelajaran penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah pada Kelas II SD Negeri 277 Sambirejo Kecamatan Lamasi Kabupaten Luwu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang upaya guru dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa di kelas V MI Datok Sulaiman bagian putra Kota Palopo. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya guru wali kelas dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa, serta untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang menjadi hambatan guru wali kelas dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa kelas V MI Datok Sulaiman bagian putra Kota Palopo. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada upaya guru wali kelas V dalam membentuk karakter disiplim siswa kelas V bagian putra. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data yang melibatkan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya yang telah dilakukan oleh guru dengan menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaran diantaranya metode pembiasaan, metode keteladanan, metode bercerita atau mendongeng dan metode diskusi dapat merubah sikap dan perilaku siswa telah disiplin. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa upaya guru dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa di kelas V MI Datok Sulaiman bagian putra Kota Palopo telah berhasil. Perubahan karakter disiplin siswa telah nampak seperti dengan datang ke sekolah tepat waktu, sebelum masuk kelas siswa melaksanakan apel pagi untuk bersiap melakukan pembacaan asma’ul husna dan setelah di dalam kelas selalu membaca doa sebelum belajar, setelah waktu sholat siswa selalu melaksanakan sholat secara berjamaah. Dan tidak hanya itu dilingkungan sekolah selalu lima S yakni senyum, salam, sapa, sopan dan santun. Ini merupakan hasil dari pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa kelas V MI Datok Sulaiman bagian putra Kota Palopo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Peningkatan Hasil Belajar IPA melalui Strategi Pembelajaran Practice Rehearsal Pairs Materi Ciri-Ciri Makhluk Hidup Siswa Kelas III dan IV SDN 93 Tombang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan strategi pembelajaran Practice Rehearsal Pairs pada materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup dan meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA melalui strategi pembelajaran Practice Rehearsal Pairs materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup pada siswa kelas III dan IV SDN 93 Tombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi PRP efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus pertama, rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 70 dengan persentase keberhasilan 55%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dan penyesuaian pada siklus kedua, rata-rata nilai meningkat menjadi 88 dengan persentase keberhasilan 100%. Semua siswa berhasil mencapai nilai minimal 80, yang menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan terhadap materi yang dipelajari.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of knowledge integration in the Islamic Education Management Study Program, Tarbiyah Faculty and Palopo State Islamic Institute.. The research is aimed at: To learn about the integration of sciences in Islamic education management program of the tarbiyah faculties and the sciences of the religious institute of Islam of the state of palopo; To know the supporters and inhibitors of integration in the program of studies of the management of islamic education of the Tarbiyah faculty and of the science of the religion of Islam Institute of the Palopo state.  The type of research used is qualitative research. The subjects of this research are Deputy Dean II of FTIK, Head of Study Program, Lecturer, and Student. Research data is obtained through interviews, documentation, and observations with data analysis using processing/naming of raw materials, data sorting based on the result of rewriting, data encoding according to information characteristics, data coherence interrogation analytically, identification of meaning relationships between data from one to the other, data transposition in chart form, meaning display and rewrite about meaning display.  The results of this research explain that the implementation of integration of science has been implemented which is seen on RPS, learning materials, and the use of appropriate methods. The integration of science in Islamic Education Management has long been triggered by the leadership, which then the new leadership continued the program in accordance with the vision of mission both in the institution, faculty, and vision of the mission of the study program. Supporting Factors consist of; Human Resource Quality Factors and Government Policy Factors; and inhibitory factors consisting of; Budgetary constraints; teaching materials; means and supplies; and guidelines in the implementation of the integration of science into the Islamic Education Management curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the integration of Lev Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) theory in the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) and character-building, focusing particularly on fostering student autonomy. The study addresses the need for a more holistic educational approach in IRE and character-building, which emphasizes transmitting religious knowledge and values and cultivates essential life skills like independence. This literature study employs qualitative descriptive methods, analyzes learning materials in IRE and character-building textbooks, and evaluates how these materials support students in their ZPD. Results indicate that this education is crucial in instilling honest, responsible, and independent behavior involving physical, economic, intellectual, moral decision-making, and spiritual aspects. However, several sub-indicators of independence are not yet fully integrated into the curriculum, indicating room for further development. Applying ZPD in learning depicts a dynamic and interactive approach, with teachers acting as active facilitators. This research highlights the need for IRE and character-building teachers to utilize ZPD to enhance student understanding and independence, focusing on the practical application of Islamic values in daily life. This study opens new insights in Islamic education literature, emphasizing significant and applicable learning, and supports the development of independent individuals, both in action and belief. Consequently, this education reinforces the internalization of religious and moral values, shaping competent and independent individuals in modern society.
