Abstract

Digital currencies, including Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), cryptocurrencies, and stablecoins, are reshaping global financial systems, raising questions about efficiency, inclusion, stability, and regulation. This study aims to provide a narrative review of the opportunities and regulatory impacts of digital currencies within both advanced and emerging economies. Relevant literature was collected from major databases, including Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, IEEE Xplore, and PLOS ONE. Selection emphasized relevance, quality, and contribution to technological, economic, and policy discussions. The results show that CBDCs offer opportunities to enhance financial inclusion and reduce transaction costs, while also strengthening monetary policy effectiveness. Cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based systems have demonstrated efficiency in cross-border transactions but also exhibit volatility and speculative behavior that challenge traditional financial theories. Regulatory frameworks and governance emerge as central issues, with evidence that clear, harmonized, and innovation-friendly regulations accelerate adoption, whereas restrictive policies hinder development. Global comparisons reveal that advanced economies emphasize monetary policy and stability, while developing economies prioritize inclusion. Systemic factors such as infrastructure, literacy, and governance strongly influence adoption outcomes. The findings underscore the urgency of adaptive regulation, international cooperation, and public education as strategies to maximize benefits while mitigating risks. Future research should explore sociopolitical and behavioral aspects, long-term systemic impacts, and regional variations to advance a comprehensive understanding of digital currencies. These insights provide critical guidance for policymakers and financial institutions navigating the digital transformation of money.

Abstract

This research analyzes the determining factors of company performance included in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). This research is a development of research regarding company performance using external audit quality, accounting information quality and earnings power as determinants. The development was carried out by refining the external audit quality variable proxy which initially only used dummy variables, so it was developed using 4 proxies, namely audit firm size, audit fees, non-audit service fees and audit partner tenure. Apart from that, this research carried out developments by adding control variables in the form of Operating Cash Flow, Revenue Growth and Company Losses. This research is based on Agency Theory, a theory in finance which states that conflicts of interest occur in company management. Managers are obliged to maintain the company's performance well in the eyes of investors. The population and research sample are public companies included in the ISSI. The research method used is Quantitative Research with the Patial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique. The variable that contributes significantly to Company Performance (KP) is Earnings Strength (KL) with a coefficient of -1.004 and p-value 0.001. The moderating variables that contribute are LAGROE on the KAE route to KP and KL to KP with coefficients of -0.112 and -0.107 with p-values of 0.005 and 0.007. Apart from that, the moderating variables that contribute are PP on the KAE route to KP and KIA to KP with coefficients of -0.123 and 0.109 with p-values of 0.002 and 0.006.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of fuel price fluctuations, exchange rates, and profitability on inflation and stock returns. The study employs statistical analysis utilizing SEM techniques and is tested using Smart PLS version 3.0. The study reveals that Fuel price fluctuations have no effect on Inflation. The direction of the relationship between Exchange Rate and Inflation is negative. Profitability has no effect on Inflation. Fuel price fluctuations have no effect on stock returns. Exchange rate has a significant effect with a positive direction on stock returns.  Profitability has no direct effect on stock returns. Inflation has a significant effect directly with a negative direction on Stock Returns.  Exchange rate has no effect on stock returns through inflation as an intervening variable. Profitability has a significant effect with a positive direction on stock returns through inflation as an intervening variable. The novelty in research is inflation as an intervening variable. Investors are advised that fluctuations in fuel prices and inflation rates need not be a primary concern in their investment decisions. Instead, the focus should be on assessing the potential impact of these factors on company profits. Consequently, investors should emphasize monitoring stock returns periodically while also taking into account variables that could influence a company's stock returns. The study is limited in its scope by examining only three independent variables—Fuel Price Fluctuations, Exchange Rates, and Profitability. Additionally, the research is confined to the period from 2013 to 2017.

Abstract

Understanding the intricate factors influencing employee performance, encompassing the work environment, motivation, competencies, and compensation, is pivotal in effective human resource management. This comprehension aids companies in identifying areas for improvement, formulating robust human resource policies, fostering supportive work environments, and crafting compensation systems that optimally motivate employees, ensuring the organization's long-term success and sustainability. The primary objective of the study is a thorough investigation into the factors impacting employee performance, with motivation playing a key intermediary role. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilizes Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) through Smart PLS version 3.0, focusing on personnel within the Public Relations Department of PT. XYZ. Findings reveal significant positive impacts of the work environment, competencies, and compensation on employee performance, with motivation exhibiting a significant negative influence. Interestingly, the study notes an insignificant negative impact of the work environment on motivation, contrasting with the positive effects of competencies and compensation on motivation. The study contributes theoretically by exploring motivation as an intervening factor in the real estate sector, offering practical insights for companies in the study location to make informed decisions about the work environment, competencies, compensation, and employee performance. Despite recognizing limitations, the study recommends future research to consider additional variables, enhancing the comprehensiveness of subsequent investigations.

Abstract

Assets are the most important part of an entity, both private and state entities (Sarikadarwati et al., 2022). Asset data owned by an entity becomes the basis for assessing the development of the entity concerned. Assets are also the basis for determining the size of an entity. In fact, SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember has not optimally implemented asset recording. Therefore, determining the value of assets and the method of depreciating assets is needed by SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. This community service method is carried out online and offline (blended learning). The mentoring process takes about 6 months. The result of the dedication is that the asset officers of SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember understand the method of valuation of assets and depreciation that are treated for each asset at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. The asset valuation method used is based on acquisition cost. The depreciation or depreciation method used is the straight-line method which is relatively simple and easy to understand. The economic age of Muhammadiyah 3 Jember High School assets is based on tax regulations Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11/PMK.010/2020 concerning Income Tax Facilities for Investment in Certain Business Fields and/or in Certain Regions.
