Abstract

This study explores the relationship between religiosity and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) within contemporary organizations by adopting a positive psychology perspective. OCB is defined as discretionary behaviors by employees that go beyond their formal job duties and contribute positively to the overall functioning and success of the organization. Examples include helping colleagues, being punctual, and demonstrating initiative, which foster a cooperative and productive work environment. Religiosity, on the other hand, is understood as a belief system that shapes an individual’s values, attitudes, and behaviors, both intrinsically—stemming from internal spiritual commitment—and extrinsically—motivated by external social or cultural influences. Through a systematic review of ten national and international academic journals, this study identifies several common dimensions of OCB, such as altruism (helping others selflessly), civic virtue (active and responsible participation in organizational affairs), and conscientiousness (going beyond minimal job requirements). The findings reveal a consistent positive correlation between religiosity and OCB, especially in sectors like education, Islamic banking, and healthcare, where religious principles strongly influence organizational culture. The integration of religious values into organizational practices encourages employees to exhibit behaviors that promote harmony, ethical conduct, and a sense of community within the workplace. This is particularly evident in employees who possess high levels of intrinsic religiosity, as their internalized beliefs motivate them to engage in prosocial actions that benefit the organization. The study recommends that human resource management strategies incorporate religious or spiritual values to cultivate a positive organizational culture. Such integration can be achieved through training programs, leadership development, and reward systems that emphasize ethical behavior and social responsibility, ultimately leading to improved employee satisfaction, loyalty, and overall organizational performance.

Abstract

Amid unstable funding and high rates of business failure, Indonesia’s start-up ecosystem increasingly depends on employees’ innovative work behavior. Yet, the psychological mechanisms that drive such behavior remain underexplored in start-up-focused research. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect relationships between subjective well-being, job insecurity, and transformational leadership on innovative work behavior among start-up employees in Indonesia. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed, involving 421 start-up employees. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a disjoint two-stage approach to address the hierarchical construct structure. The results indicate that job insecurity does not have a direct effect on innovative work behavior, whereas transformational leadership shows a significant direct effect. Additionally, subjective well-being serves as a mediator in the relationship between both job insecurity and transformational leadership with innovative work behavior. However, transformational leadership does not moderate the relationship between job insecurity and innovative work behavior. The findings suggest that organizations should develop policies or interventions that strengthen subjective well-being and transformational leadership as strategic efforts to enhance innovative work behavior among employees in start-up environments.

Abstract

Education is one of the most important aspects of human life. In the education file, examination is an important part to evaluate the progress of the students. The students need to fulfill the test parameters and indicators in order to move to the higher level of class or higher degree. The common feeling while students feel anxious in facing the test is called test anxiety. There are several factors that affect test anxiety, and one of the most common sources is the test form. This study aimed to determine the differences in test anxiety levels in students in terms of multiple-choice and matchmaking tests. The population of this study was 142 students of the Faculty of Psychology Education that registered in 2018. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental research with two-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used in this study was the Reaction to Test scale by Irwin G. Sarason. The results showed that the multiple-choice test anxiety level was higher than the matching test, although the difference was small. The multiple-choice test anxiety level was (M = 2.17) and matchmaking (M = 2.07).

Abstract

Instagram, as a social media platform, has been associated with increased levels of FOMO due to its emphasis on sharing personal experiences and achievements. Additionally, research shows that FOMO can lead to excessive engagement with Instagram, including constantly checking for updates, obsessively scrolling through feeds, and feeling anxious or irritable when unable to access the platform. This excessive use can lead to negative consequences such as decreased productivity, poor sleep quality, and difficulty forming and maintaining relationships. This study explores the mitigative role of education against the backdrop of increasing social media addiction and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) among adolescents in Jakarta. Employing a mixed-methods approach with quantitative surveys among 211 adolescents aged 11-24, it assesses the correlation between FOMO and addiction levels, alongside evaluating digital literacy and mental health awareness programs. Results reveal a significant positive correlation between FOMO and social media addiction, with educational interventions showing promise in fostering responsible social media use. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating digital literacy into educational curricula to equip adolescents with the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape healthily. Its novelty lies in highlighting educational strategies within a social context as effective tools for combating the psychological impacts of social media, offering a significant contribution to the discourse on digital well-being among the youth.

Abstract

Parenting plays a crucial role in influencing the sports participation of athletes with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Indonesia (SOIna) is an organization that fosters and develops the sporting potential of individuals with intellectual disabilities in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the parenting styles of athletes' parents in various sports under the auspices of SOIna. The method used was descriptive quantitative, involving 182 parents from various sports. Data collection was conducted using the PSDQ-SF questionnaire, which measures three dimensions of parenting: democratic, authoritarian, and permissive. Validity test results showed a range of values of 0.152–0.681, while Cronbach's Alpha reliability showed a high value for democratic parenting (0.850), followed by authoritarian (0.738) and permissive (0.466). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive univariate analysis to determine the distribution of dominant parenting styles. The results showed that the majority of parents used democratic parenting (98%), while only 2% used permissive parenting, and none used authoritarian parenting. These findings indicate that a democratic approach is the primary choice in supporting the development and sports participation of athletes with intellectual disabilities, and is an important reference for the development of coaching programs and further research.

Abstract

The transition phase of young Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) soldiers from education to active duty represents a critical period marked by physical, psychological, and social pressures. Within the framework of positive psychology, resilience is viewed as a psychological strength that enables individuals to endure and thrive amidst such stressors. This study presents a literature review of selected scholarly articles published between 2015 and 2024, examining the relationship between stress, resilience, and supporting psychological factors within military contexts. The main findings highlight the central role of resilience as a psychological safeguard, supported by mediating factors such as hardiness, adaptive coping strategies, and social support. This review also emphasizes that resilience is not merely an innate trait, but a capacity that can be cultivated through training and interventions grounded in positive psychology. The article offers important implications for the development of mental resilience enhancement programs for young soldiers, as well as theoretical contributions to the body of positive psychology literature in military settings.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the empirical literature on the role of positive emotions in encouraging pro-environmental behavior (PEB). Through the systematic literature review method, as many as 10 selected articles published between 2015–2025 were analyzed based on certain criteria, such as focus on specific positive emotions and relevance to pro-environmental actions. The results of the study showed that emotions such as anticipated pride, satisfaction, subjective happiness, compassion, and connection with nature had a significant influence on increasing individual intentions and involvement in pro-environmental actions. These emotions also act as mediators between other psychological factors, such as social norms, self-efficacy, and personal values, and actual behavior. This study highlights that positive emotions-based approaches are more effective and sustainable than approaches that emphasize guilt or fear. These findings contribute to the development of more empowering environmental communication and education strategies and support consistent eco-friendly behaviors.

Abstract

Through the discovery learning model, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of students' critical thinking skills in developing their self-understanding of the social environment and knowledge in the 21st-century learning era. The research results demonstrated that the learning model applied in research was suitable for developing students' critical thinking skills, as it created an active way of learning for students by finding themselves and investigating themselves. The results obtained would be loyal and long-lasting in memory, and students would not easily forget. This study employed a quasi-experimental method through a nonequivalent control group design using a quantitative research approach. In this study, the results of homogeneity calculations and significant value hypotheses (Sig 2-tailed) revealed a substantial implication of 0.000, meaning that Ho was rejected because 0.000 < 0.05 and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that the discovery learning model could improve critical thinking skills in elementary school students.
